Since this is the first time you will see me do such a thing, I will give you a teaser just to see what I'm working with. As a disclaimer, do not expect for direct information to be given. On certain points, I may word it in a way that'll require you to think, or I can possibly make the description so vague that your speculation will be the only thing that can grant you knowledge. To shorten that up, do not complain I didn't feed you the information precisely. The point of a teaser is to tease you obviously. Anyway, now that I got that point across, you can feel free to comment on it if you want to leave any likes/dislikes or whatever you have to say about it. Enjoy.
The day I was able to grip a bakugan in my hand was when I was deemed old enough to be entrusted the responsibility of using these creatures correctly and ethically. My first bakugan was one that belonged to someone that I really admired as a world-renowned legendary brawler. I used that bakugan in my first battle, and I've been battling with it from that day forward. I was respected as a prodigy through the display of superior control over my bakugan and how powerful of a bond we shared while brawling others. My confidence in battle kept increasing to the point where I wanted to have the same recognition as my admirer and teacher. I wanted to be that person that everyone else looked up to. I wanted to be a hero.
I was born in Washington D.C. and was given a name that meant "champion". I resided in Maryland with my dad and my younger brother who came a bit later; however, my mom wasn't around anymore much to my dismay. While I was growing up, the brawling community has expanded across the United States and increased in popularity over the years. Technology was being created to create a more organized system of battling. It was a significant improvement to the earlier models that my dad used while he was younger as they had noticeable glitches and bugs that desperately needed to be fixed if brawling was going to become big. Everything wasn't well as there were people out there who wanted to ruin the relationship between humans and bakugan. I saw this as a chance to prove my worth as an upcoming hero. They needed to be taken down, and I was apart of a group that did it...for the time being.
In the same way my race has been discriminated against for centuries, I do the same against bakugan of a particular attribute. I've had an intense hatred for darkus bakugan ever since they became a threat to everything that I considered really important to me. I've been scarred mentally for the past struggles I've had against these bakugan, and there have been times where I wanted to throw in the towel and be done with these beings for good; that was currently impossible for me to do. It feels like I'm being hunted by someone or something; it feels like an eternal nightmare. There is a mysterious bakugan that I have seen multiple times throughout my journey. It doesn't look like any of the bakugan species we were already familiar with, which made it really difficult to figure out what it was. Every time I see this bakugan, disaster usually follows. It is usually accompanied by many of its own allies; surprisingly, they had the same strange configuration of the bakugan that kept following me. They looked too unfamiliar to be something we would know how to combat. What is their motive? How did they develop into these feral warriors? Was the bakugan I kept seeing their leader, or is there anyone else we should be worrying about that could be even more of a threat than it? It was like having terrorists reside in your own country that intended to wipe you out without a trace. We don't know where it came from or where it comes from when it attacks. It just shows up unannounced. The enemy knows when we'll least expect it, and then it'll pounce. By the time it coordinates its battle strategy, you're already too late.
In this world, we have people who believe you should receive something from doing nothing. I am able to say that the greatest thing you try to achieve in life has a cost attached to it, and you must decide if you're willing to spend it. I was so young and arrogant, and I wanted to pursue my dream of being an amazing battler, but there was definitely a price to pay. I've began to constantly ask myself this question as I evaluated my life:
What are you willing to lose?
