The Hurranians are an advanced technological race created by the Vestals. Their primary function is to absorb DNA codes - which they refer to as "data" - from other living species so they can recreate them for their own sinister purposes. They serve as the central antagonists for Bakugan Re-vengeance.

Overview The Hurranians were an accidental result of various attempts to craft mechanical Bakugan, created by Professor Clay as a joke to King Zenoheld. When Clay dies after a few months, it turns out that it wasn't such a joke after all. The strength in amassing knowledge into one source became invaluable to the Hurranians, enough to warrant the attention of the superpowers in Vestroia, the Legendary Soldiers. It spread like a virus, bringing many it corrupted back to life in their likeness until it was fatefully ended by the Bakugan Termination System; however, a single Hurranian organism survived the extermination through unknown circumstances, and has returned in the present to resurrect its fallen empire to reclaim control of the universe. Forms The true form of a Hurranian organism is a microscopic spider. The nearly undetectable size gives them huge leeway when entering into opposing systems. Trained sensors - the Spartans for example - can detect the electric current they appear as when looked at closely; although, not too many people are able to see that, making it frustrating for those that do. Typical forms used for combat are the Bakugan forms they gained through assimilation. The ones under their control have a mechanical appearance on the outside, giving others the impression that they are mechanical Bakugan themselves. Considering that humans and Vestals can be assimilated, it could be assumed their forms are not off limits, but none of this has been shown. Abilities The fact that it took the Bakugan Termination System to defeat them lends credibility to the threat they pose to the entire universe. Their intelligence is united under a single mind, giving them a distinct advantage when it comes to juggling multiple things around at once. This capability is mind-boggling, but necessary, given that it's vital to their function on and off the battlefield. The most important ability they possess is called assimilation. What takes place here is the feeding off of an organism's DNA code. The amount of time it takes to do so varies on the species and the number of Hurranians present. Once complete, the target's information is registered in their "database," giving them free will to use it in any way they see fit. The most common usage of that information is by re-creating the said organism in their likeness, sporting them with a mechanical mainframe akin to the first Hurranian person, Hydron. Depending on how much genetic code they possess from the organism, they can duplicate it into multiple copies. This has proved to be a very dangerous and feared ability in battle and is how they are able to continuously develop their population. The flip-side to the assimilation ability is "augmentation." This involves implementing the genetic code of one organism into another infected target to transfer certain abilities and/or characteristics. This has seen rough use on all competitive levels of brawling on Earth, so much so that numerous deaths have been caused by this sole ability - both for the opposition and the users themselves. While not yet shown in specific detail, Hydron has hinted that the Hurranians are capable of manipulating technology should they get too close to it. The extent of this damage is not quite known, but it is assumed to be very serious if it were to be mentioned as a warning.

Trivia - This is the most difficult word to spell correctly in the plot. - While not being well-known, the Hurranians are actually non-canon material from the video game, Bakugan: Rise of the Resistance; however, the Hurranians in Re-vengeance do not quite function the same way the game portrays. > The game has a device called Replicators, built by the Hurranians to clone Bakugan using DNA from the Sacred Orb. The Hurranians in Re-vengeance have the cloning ability inherently, but do not have access to the Sacred Orb. > The Hurranians span across a large civilization in the game whereas the incarnations in Re-vengeance are shown to be barbaric and nomadic.
