Users Gorem Clayf An Advanced Fusion Ability is as its namesake implies - an advanced form of fusion ability. It is the most powerful form of fusion ability available to a Bakugan. It's forbidden in nature, but those that are able to survive and ultimately manage its usage are the ones with unmatched fortitude and the iron guts to keep on pushing.

Origins Currently, no Bakugan - not even Clayf himself - have been able to explain how or why this type of ability manifests itself into one's arsenal or who was chiefly responsible for creating this technique. What is known about the ability is that the technique has seen its fair share of uses throughout history and has been a main factor in causing death, even to the user itself. Very few Bakugan had the bodies capable of handling the power this ability floods through the body. Allen's Gorem is currently the only Bakugan capable of accessing, activating, and surviving the use of this ability. As it stands, this is considered to be a forbidden ability because of the risks involved. Interestingly enough, many Bakugan across the span of time have even compared the Advanced Fusion Ability to forbidden abilities along the lines of the ones used by Hex Code users. This may imply that the creator of this technique either has some relation to them or developed a way to access the full potential of the body through unnatural methods. Attributes Usage of this ability will maximize the muscles on the user's body and bring them to their limits. Once that is done, the ability will then place a hold on that state to allow the user to perform at their peak level longer than what is physically possible, shattering the boundaries of a Bakugan's anatomy and physiology. Without anything else considered, a user of this ability would effectively become stronger than a Switch or Hex Code user who has a weaker body. Because the muscles are performing at their peak, the abilities of the user are boosted to a very high level, approximately 100% of what the user is capable of doing. The main strength in doing this is that it is not physically possible to remain at 100% power, but it becomes possible for an Advanced Fusion Ability user to do so.

Because the technique is considered to be forbidden - and rightfully so, it comes with a few disadvantages that are worth pointing out. The main penalty with this technique - the one that most Bakugan fear when this is used, is that it's a death warrant for Bakugan unequipped to handle the power they receive. The ability is an unnatural boost, so it is possible for injuries to occur when rising to this high power level, not including the possibility of straining the body beyond repair if used improperly - such as using it for an extended period of time without an adequate form of recovery muscles need. The other notable drawback lies in its overall utility in battle. It is undeniable that the one who uses this theoretically becomes the most powerful Bakugan on the battlefield in most circumstances; however, that can quickly change if the battle is drawn out after this technique is used. Should the opponent be powerful enough to contest the user or is able to survive, the user would be hard-pressed to match their foe effectively as the body will shut down to prevent permanent damage. If the user is incredibly stupid or is in a situation where this is necessary, the user may remain in this mode past the time limit, but the amount of muscle and tissue damage that will take place from this decision will likely beat them before their opponent can.
