Since there has been a lot of talk in Discord channel about Dungeons and Dragons along with the amount of requests to include dice in the system here Game Master added it and since I am a self-proclaimed expert at this I decided to dish out all commands I know from roll20 where that game is played. Here is how to use it. If I forget something others remind me and by others I mean Atom since only two of us know how to properly use it. It is fairly easy.
With this system you can roll any realistic and unrealistic type of dice.
d6 represents standard 6-sided die
d8- eight sides
d20- twenty sides
When you say to 'roll 2d6' it means you are rolling a 6-sided die twice.
So 3d20- roll 20-sided die three times.
You can add an extra number to it 'roll 2d6+5'. You will roll 6-sided die twice and add a 5 to the rolled number. Minus will reduce the number by 5.
Now there is a mechanic on roll20 where you can do this 'roll 2d6+2d6+5' so adding multiple rolls and bonus numbers, but here with our plug in it does not seem to be possible yet. I am currently doing research.
Now how does it work? You can either type the formula out manually in the post or use the little die icon among commands here. Near the smiley option and insert embed option. Latter is easier since you do not need to type out the entire formula. Here is for manual typing.
1- represents the number of times you throw the die
6- represents the number of sides the thrown dice has
Now those two numbers can be anything, but please, for the love of God and everything that is holy do not put something overly large in either because your post will look like Satan gave birth to it.
And here is a super-simple way to use it. Go near where you choose text to be Italic, Bold or Underlined. Go near the smiley face and insert embed. See that little die? Click on it. Now you need to type what kind of die you want to throw and how many of them + the bonuses.
