"Shit... How do I get out of this...?" Jim thought to himself.
As he was about to take another step forward Serpenoid crashed right in front of him, sheer force of the impact pushing Jim back a few steps. By the unconscious Serpenoid there stood Lougel who seemed to have had a rather disappointed expression. How could he not? Jim was assigned to work with a bunch of utter morons and not professionals like himself- chances of winning were slim to begin with and the lack of skill they presented made this job a lot harder for everyone. Saurus was going to beat up the other guy, but with him being so focused there was no chance of helping Jim out. He had to think of an escape plan.
"Now, now- let's just all calm down. There is no need for any more... violence." Jim said as he looked at Daniel with both his arms raised for surrender.

Daniel walked a few meters towards Jim without getting too close. That snake of a man was not only shameless in defying the most basic morals. He is cunning, clever and dangerous. Letting the guard down even for a brief moment would be a suicide.
"I disagree." Daniel said.
"We came here for the violence, Jimmy-boy, and we're not out yet." Lougel added.
"No easy way out of this, Jim. Fight!" Daniel demanded.
He put both of his arms up entering a boxing stance. He carefully positioned himself and, with a stern glare, he gazed at Jim. He did not want that maniac to have the luxury of surrendering and just going to prison so easily without getting the same treatment as his team. Plus, Daniel did not trust Jim's surrender- again, that man was cunning and not being alert around him is a fatal mistake.

"Grr..." Jim was displeased by the situation he was in. Ripper and Serpenoid were down and his entire team was knocked out. The only one left was Saurus- that should be enough even with his 'limited mindset'. There was no way out with both Daniel and Lougel on him- there was no other way but to fight and use every piece of trickery he had up his sleeve.
"Alright, kid... show me what you've got!" Jim responded entering offensive stance.
Jim made a swift approach towards Daniel before making a swift palm-strike against Daniel's throat followed by a spin-kick in the chest pushing Daniel back a few meters. Upon finishing the combo Jim took a defensive stance ready for incoming response to that attack he just pulled. Having seen Daniel release fire from his arms and then use his eyes to paralyze one of his men it was obvious Synchronization was at work. It was going to be tough to defeat anyone who has that trait.

Daniel was glad he would get a chance to inflict pain upon this sad excuse of a man. Unlike his men he was trained, at the very least, so the fight would not be an absolute waste of time. Perhaps it would be a challenge he could enjoy? The two-hit combo pushed Daniel back, but he was no pushover either to drop down from that. Though... there was something off about that style. Daniel could swear he had seen it somewhere before. He could not allow such thing to distract him.
Daniel closed in on Jim pretty quickly and with a swift swipe and a hit on Jim's right foot he successfully broke his opponent's balance for a brief moment. First kick was followed by series of swift kicks against the upper body- focused on Jim's face.
The final kick was right on Jim's neck pushing him aside and forcing him to lose his balance. With that done Daniel leaped towards him again with intention of wrapping that fight up as soon as possible. Despite Jim's skill it did not seem like there was going to be much of a challenge like anticipated.

Jim looked up and quickly reacted to the incoming finisher. He was able to position himself in defensive stance and block Daniel's kick before grabbing the enemy's foot with both hands and tossing him into a pile of wooden boxes. He wiped the dust off his suit and looked in Daniel's direction.
"Is that all you've got, boy!?" He spoke in anger. Seemed like he did not like hand-to-hand combat; it was not his best talent. He was only taught enough to be able to escape, but it could work... could buy Saurus time to finish that other guy off and come in to aid. Hopefully.
"You really... REALLY had to come in here and ruin my day..." Jim shouted in anger as his face began to turn red. "Just what are they thinking... they predicted somebody would come here, but they sent me alone with these morons..." He continued, seemingly talking to himself at this point. He was not doing well on enduring frustrations. At that point he pulled a dagger out of sheath on the back of his belt. "Doesn't matter- I'll finish this alone if I have to!"

"They predicted...?" Daniel thought upon hearing Jim talk to himself. He slowly rose back up on his feet. Jim did not seem like a guy who would play nice- judging by sharp-looking dagger. If he wanted to play that way then there was no point in holding back- Daniel did not need more than one stab wound for the evening, but Jim could use a few broken bones.
Jim started to lose his temper already- close combat did not seem to be to his liking; he could defend himself, but with that attitude he was going to have few regrets later one when he is beaten to the ground. Daniel entered defensive stance which, by the looks of it, seemed more offensive, boxing stance. He quickly, yet carefully, approached Jim. Jim was quick to react to that. Again, he was not complete pushover. However, there was no need to react to begin with- Daniel's stance was merely defense in which he approached Jim. Daniel had no intention in initiating an attack. With Jim's dagger going for Daniel who stopped before entering the melee reach the attack was a complete failure with Jim exposing himself for a counter-attack.
With another swift kick Daniel was able to knock the dagger away from Jim. Fancy knife flew away in a spin and lodged into a box nearby. Finally, Daniel initiated the attack now that his opponent was disarmed. He quickly closed the distance and gave his opponent's face another chain of kicks from his left foot. He, suddenly, changed his footing and struck Jim in the head with his right foot knocking him on the ground. "Now... I have some questions I wanna ask-" Daniel said.
At that point he looked in Alex's direction. Perhaps it would be for the best to help him out instead and ask questions later. "Ah, damn it... Nevermind- I'll catch up in a second, Jim. Don't you run away anywhere, okay?" Daniel said and with that he leaned towards Jim and with one well-timed punch he knocked the man out. "Let's go wrap this up. At this rate we might, as well, allow police to fight instead of us." Daniel said as he pulled out a few ability cards and headed towards Alex and Azrael who were in a bit of a pickle.

Intruder Saurus was originally targeting was fighting the boss and other members of Glacies, but Saurus could not be bothered to look back once the new target was in sight. Luckily, this new enemy did not appear to be as quick and nimble as the last one. Judging by his appearance it was a melee combatant so it was only a matter of smashing him until death. That was a strategy Saurus could stand behind. He readied his mechanical arm transforming it into a twin-barreled cannon. Best/worst thing about this guy- he would not even attempt to aim, but just fire in the general direction knowing that demon of a cannon would blow everything up in a wide radius.
"Hahaha, this will be over before you know it!" He shouted.
His entire body was surrounded in crimson lights. Enemies before him could feel the intensity of heat being emitted from his body and it was not a pleasant feeling for anyone- that was three times worse than breathing air in Sahara during extreme heat. That was the ability Jim activated earlier, Beast Energy. It came to full effect and it brought Saurus to a power-level far beyond of what he had in base and far beyond his enemies could ever imagine or hope to have. With such power comes a hefty price- usage of these 'improvised' mechanical weapons leaves a toll on both body and mind as it requires Bakugan's life force in order to operate properly. However, there was no time to think on that anymore...
"Hellfire Cannon!" He yelled and fired two super-charged bullets in enemies' general direction missing them completely, but causing a massive explosion which destroyed a large number of crates and boxes just sitting around. Radius of the explosion began to spread and threatened to catch both enemies inside its burning clutches.
"Hahaha, what's wrong, kids!? Can't endure? You might have fought some weak shits in your life, but I am on a whole new level... Now, let's fight until your flesh melts off your bones!!" Saurus shouted with diabolical excitement as he charged towards Azrael and Alex in attempt to crush them both.

Alex gestured with his left hand upon seeing the explosion and the spread. "Zone of Cold!" He shouted as his left eye began to glow in bright blue and intense cold started to spread around him and Azrael. It was difficult to notice to the naked eye, but it seemed like a 'barrier of cold' which would not allow the intense heat to break through and hurt either Alex or Azrael. Since Alex was the source of this effect and could affect an ally neither of them would get hurt by the cold either. However, explanation for human using such things was beyond science.
Thanks to Ventus enhancement ability Alex used earlier Azrael's speed was highly buffed. Once Saurus's attack failed to land directly Azrael began to sprint forward and change his path in zig-zag motion. Finally, he was able to swiftly circle around Saurus and jump to where he could make a clean hit on that giant thick meaty head.

"Not so fast!" Saurus exclaimed.
With one swift 360-degree spin he smacked Azrael and tossed him in the direction of Alex where the crashed. It was not a lot of damage, but it was not a big deal for Saurus either. He just wanted that quick pest out of his business as soon as possible. Sure they had to resort to their speed and such cowardly tactics upon laying their eyes on Saurus's magnificent power.
Before Azrael could recover from the throw Saurus pointed his twin cannons in the general direction and began shooting shells in quick succession resorting to the 'spray and pray' strategy some prefer to use. "You guys need to lighten up, hahahaha!!!" He shouted excitedly as he continued to fire the cannons.

"Shit..." Azrael muttered as he slowly stood up again.
"You still in one piece?" Alex called out.
"Still."
"Yeah, look- at this rate all the evidence will be gone. Mind if we start trying?" Alex asked seeing how the entire warehouse was already set ablaze and most of the cargo being on fire. Authorities are not going to enjoy it anyway, but if there is no evidence whatsoever then it would make all of their efforts entirely pointless. "Alright. Make it quick!" Azrael agreed.
Alex quickly placed another card into the gauntlet. "Ability activate! Spiritual Shield!" He announced as Azrael's shield flashed. A giant translucent version of his shield formed before him blocking all of the Saurus's bullets as they made their way forward. Azrael made another swift approach like before, zig-zag. He began to circle around Saurus in unpredictable patterns going from zig-zag to randomly changing directions. Even if Saurus was quick that was going to be a nightmare to fight against.
"Let's go!" Azrael challenged loudly.

"You wanna go?!" Saurus angrily shouted upon seeing Azrael approach him for the second time. He was not very happy with his bullets being wasted on a shield. He pointed his twin cannons towards where Azrael was supposed to arrive and fired about three normal rounds each releasing a small explosion in a 5-meter radius. However, with that pest's movement it was impossible to land a hit or get him in the explosion radius.
Swift response to that was him reconfiguring the arm into the blade once again in attempt to wildly slash in Azrael's general direction. With one slip right by Saurus Azrael was able to avoid the initial attack and started circling around making it increasingly difficult to land a hit with that blade and, especially, with such inaccurate cannon. Saurus was definitely in a disadvantage against a smaller and quicker opponent, but that was far from worrying for him as he still had plenty of tricks up his sleeve.
"Seriously?! That's how you want to play this, cowards?!" Saurus angrily shouted, having a massive dislike for this type of combat. In that situation, until next ability was used, he saw no better option than to extend the blade as far as possible and then spin around in hope to hit Azrael who was just circling and avoiding. It was not a reliable strategy, but it was not as stupid either since Azrael seemed like a melee-focused combatant and he had to approach Saurus eventually.

Azrael was not going to fall for that one. Even with that spinning a massive Bakugan like Saurus could not elegantly execute that job, especially with such weapon and difference in weight between his left and right sides of the body. Azrael continued on circling around and observing Saurus frantically spin and slash. He was slowly getting closer and closer to Saurus waiting for few slashes to happen and, finally, the giant beast lost its balance. It was just a second before regaining balance, but that was plenty of time for this knight to land a blow.
"Too slow- ." Azrael's leaped forward and then slashed Saurus in the back before swiftly disengaging and avoiding frantic slashing that continued to go on. Maniacal screeching coming from Saurus suggested he was not very happy that he could not land a single hit. To worsen his state and mood Azrael continued doing this landing about three additional hits and causing Saurus to bleed quite a bit, but it did not seem that the beast was getting tired. "That's one tough dino..." Azrael thought while preparing for another attack.
Meanwhile...
Alex turned away from the fight the moment Azrael started circling around the enemy. Combat situation was not as bad as it seemed- the only problem was damaged environment and the fact everything was on fire. "Breath of Frost..." Alex took a deep breath and closed his eyes before starting to calmly exhale. There were no visible signs of anything happening except for the fact that the flames right in front of him and those weaker ones around him began to slowly extinguish. Surfaces of the building and objects were covered in thin layers of ice stopping the flames from progressing and it did not seem word 'thin' mattered in there since it was, apparently, not melting away.

"Little cockroach! Stop hiding around and fight me!" Saurus shouted. Madness was still evident from his tone and shouts. Crude weapons installed and burrowing deep in his body, rage-inducing technology and abilities with continuous increases in power; most Bakugans cannot afford to take a direct hit from his normal attacks, little less from his cannons. Azrael was at disadvantage when it came to firepower and physical strength, but his smaller body allowed him to circle around this monster which lacks proper area-of-effect attacks.
The more Saurus was fighting the greater his strength was and if these two fail to eliminate him in timely manner it would not end well for them. "Heatwave!!!" Saurus shouted louder and louder with every passing second; his body and mind being torn apart by the crude mechanisms placed inside him. He was getting very close to a point of no return- if this mindless onslaught continued it would, certainly, end in his death. Sadly, he cares more about power and pride than his own well-being. Both fists hitting the ground and mechanisms burrowing deeper and deeper drawing every ounce of power out of his body to activate the ability. His body began to overheat and gained distinct red color and with a mad screech he unleashed a blast of fire inside a radius of 150 meters. "If you won't... come and fight... Then I'll just have to burn this entire place down!!" Saurus threatened.

Azrael could not find time to dodge so he knelt and placed the shield in front to protect, at least, his own head against the fire. Heatwave ability caused the blasts of fire to quickly spread in all directions burning boxes and crates and even damaging the warehouse structure itself. Pillars started to crumble and even metal parts were melting down. Azrael was struck by several blasts of fire which were partially weakened by his shield in the front. Heatwave appeared to be a continuous ability- as long as Saurus would assume his channeling pose the blasts of fire would keep on being created and launched in every direction.
Having seen this Alex sprinted behind a wall several meters away from the raging enemy. Even behind the walls and safe from flames he could sense immense heat. He took a moment to draw two ability cards and then peeked out to the battle. Azrael was stuck in a spot, unable to assume offensive stance because of endless flames. In one way this was good... if Saurus kept on using this much power when both his mental and physical health were in danger due to the machinery inside him he would, eventually, pass out or outright die. However, neither Alex or Azrael wanted him dead- he was still a living being and he was a living evidence to what has transpired in this problematic organization.
"Is that his plan...?" Azrael thought to himself. "...use Heatwave to guarantee hits on me while at the same time preventing me from attacking him in that immobile stance. He knows if I go into offensive these flames are going to end me. Tch... is he even aware his life is at risk?" He questioned.
"Huh?" Azrael turned on the side.
Alex was waving at him from behind the cover. Because of the noise caused by this ruckus they could not properly converse or use tactics, but Azrael had a pretty decent sight. He could see Alex wave with two ability cards. According to their color and markings those were Champion's Strike and Daring Approach. "Got it!" Azrael nodded at Alex and then quickly stood up, ready to assume offensive stance.
Alex quickly placed both cards inside his gauntlet activating them at the same time. With activation of Daring Approach Azrael's mind and body gained absolute focus. Azrael dropped the shield and grabbed the longsword with both hands. He began to sprint towards Saurus whose back was wide open; thanks to previous abilities and Daring Approach in effect his speed was drastically increased. Flames continued to appear and strike Azrael who had no shield. However, damage he was taking from these direct hits was halved due to resistance gained from ability in play. If Azrael moves towards his target in a straight line Daring Approach increases his speed by 75% and reduces damage by 50%.
As for Champion's Strike... Azrael prepared his sword and jumped to gain some height on his target- the link and cables holding the cannons together as well as connecting them to Saurus. With use of Champion's Strike attacker has an increase in damage inflicted upon making a critical hit negating one ongoing ability enemy has active. With Saurus practically motionless the fight was over.
Sword struck against the crude metal. Upon splitting it in half pipes that came along with it and cables all around tore apart and fluids of unknown origin began to spill. A mad screech came from the crazed foe as his body began to shake violently in pain and panic. One of the cannons began to detach from rest of the body and without surgical tools the pain for Saurus was mind-breaking. His Heatwave was suddenly canceled with his concentration lost. Pain he has been enduring so far, pain from the attacks and the punishment from his vital spot being hit. There was nothing more to it- the mad screech halted and Saurus crashed on the ground- unconscious.
"Whew... he's out. We made it." Alex said with relief in his tone.
"Yeah. Good work. I believe area is secure." Azrael responded noticing the lack of noise around them after Saurus was downed.
"Mhm, let's look around. I'll make a few calls."

"Already two steps ahead of ya." Daniel's voice echoed from the other side of the room. He walked to the Alex's side of the room carelessly dragging Jim Costa by the shirt. He was holding a phone in his right hand. "Cops and special forces are on their way." Daniel explained.
He took a few steps by Alex to look in Saurus's direction. It was truly one beast of a monster being able to do such tremendous damage against Lougel even with an unarmed strike and then incinerate most of the building with non-stop attacks. Saurus race is among the weakest Bakugans out there and yet that one was capable of unleashing such powerful attacks. Of course, he paid a hefty price for such unnatural augmentation and disregard for his own health. Gruesome how there are creatures who are willing to do such things for power and how there are those who wish to enable it- there are probably more in possession of Glacies. Maybe even bigger and stronger than this one. What would happen if such augmentation was to be used on a Fear Ripper or... God forbid, a Hydranoid or a Golem. There is still hope those forms do not exist, but if they do Daniel hopes to put them down before people get hurt.
"Anyways..." Daniel sighed as he pulled out the documents he grabbed earlier. "We should get going, too. Let's take a peek at these along the road, shall we?" He suggested.
