"...We're in so much trouble..." Gargulion sighed. "...They're probably going to make us pay for that." He cared nothing about the mist killing any unsuspecting bystanders.
"...Did you notice that this guy broke your hold, but...Vince did nothing...?" Markus questioned.
"I don't want to read too much into that, but it's troubling. Right now, they all must die," Gargulion concluded.
Markus got in contact with Tank again as they continued to chase this guy. "Hey, he's coming towards you now. Get ready."

"...You're not even going to tell me how you did? That was kinda fast!" Tank complained. Before Tank could get settled with this new information, Vince came into the arena with this bitch close by. Excedra was on the sidelines coughing. He put his hand up to let everyone know he was coming. He just needed a minute.
"What the fuck? Nothing happened to him. It's all six of them...and one of me..." Gladion sighed. "You had one job, Gargulion. One job..."
Tank was visibly disturbed by this revelation, but this was the cards he was dealt. He knew that if Markus could've, he would've prevented Tank from having to deal with this. That's why he quickly got over this disappointing news and stood strong. He had to.
"Markus, I hope you've got a plan. I am a confident guy, but taking the six of them on at once... That's above my pay grade," Tank admitted. "Lord knows I'll try, but..."

"Try," Markus encouraged. "I know this looks bad, but just hold on."
"...Since Tank can't be killed here...I wonder what this guy will do to him if he sees an opportunity... Markus began thinking to himself. It was sounding like he wanted Tank to be placed on edge on purpose, but...the plan wasn't all that clear right now. What if the person intends to separate the boundaries right before they kill Tank IF they win?
Maybe that's the answer. Perhaps he should strike when he/she gets greedy? Or...maybe he won't have to if the person couldn't evade Gargulion through any other method than fleeing the scene. "Gargulion, stay undetected for now. Don't come out for any reason until I give the signal," Markus commanded.
"...I hope you know what you're doing..." Gargulion hoped.

"...That assassin could be trouble if I let my guard down around him..." the villain relayed to Vince. "See to it that he is taken care of when he reenters the area. We shall see to it that this man in front of us is converted at once."
After conveniently telling everyone it's methodical, master plan, the villain started to move towards Tank. It was occasionally looking left and right to make sure that Gargulion didn't spring out on it. At the same time, it was also weary of Gladion's movements.
All of this could mean one thing: this person doesn't have the sensing abilities necessary to detect Gargulion when he is moving around stealthily. This is why using Vince to monitor Markus was a top priority...

"It'll be done," Vince assured the entity. "Clayf. Oberus. Ready up."
"...Yes..." Clayf responded with a rasp voice as well. He hopped on in and opened up in his monster form. He was without his trusty weapon, the Pandemonium's Purge. It belonged to Allen and Gorem now. It was no matter though. Clayf was already strong enough without the weapon.
"...On the double..." Oberus said, again following the pattern with the rasp-sounding voices. She opened up and perched on top of Clayf's head.
Vince's approach to this was to box Gladion in where he was and cover his escape routes. "Ability activate! Colossal Drive!" Clayf got in a tackling stance and continuously flashed in a brown color. Prior to moving, Oberus granted him her speed, so it was going to be a very fast tackle that should easily run straight over Gladion.
Once he moved, it was like an impact of a lightning strike, except much grander in scale. He upturned the arena grounds and had debris flying all over the place.

While the battle was starting to setup, the coach and several other important people were in the control room to handle the proceedings of this battle.
"Okay. There they are. Put the barrier up and start scanning," the coach demanded.
Little did he know, the barrier was not gonna mean much in a second. With Clayf intending to get on ESPN, Tank had to get out of the way, which could only mean the barrier was taking a hit. Well...it was gonna get blown away regardless, but this'll be overkill.
"Ability activate! Song of the Celedon!" With a clear disadvantage, Tank had to do what he could to survive as long as possible. With this, Gladion's body turned gold for a brief moment as the soothing voice of a beautiful, woman singer. It was potent enough to calm godly beings, which made Gladion able to significantly lower a target's performance below their base level. Due to this, he was able to make sure that Oberus was not moving fast enough to make it impossible for Gladion to dodge.
Thankfully, he managed to roll over to his right to avoid Clayf, because Gladion could potentially take more damage from powerful beings by being gold.
Still, even with Clayf and Oberus powered down, their combined assault led to the elder crashing into the barrier and bringing down the whole system...
"...Well, we did try," the coach said. He shortly threw his hands up like he was saying, 'To hell with this.'
"We need to make this as difficult for them as possible," Gladion reminded Tank.
"I'm on it," Tank acknowledged.

"Oh really?" Vince said with some surprise. It sounded like he didn't expect Gladion to be able to dodge that, but he responded pretty well.
This was only the beginning though.
"Excedra, you're on," Vince called. Excedra jumped onto the field out of his robed form into monster form when called. "Grand Down! Let's go!"
When Excedra landed, the arena erupted like a volcano. Everything was completely leveled, and the battle arena itself was about to start collapsing.
"...You should probably get out of here," the coach started advising some people. "...I don't want to die, Frank."

Excedra's move was devastating enough to send Gladion into the air. At that moment, the villain saw fit to go after Tank right then and there.
One would have to question that move though. Gladion is a lot more threatening in this battle than Tank is himself. Why would this person go after Tank instead of wanting to finish off Gladion while he's vulnerable? Hm...
Regardless of what was going through the enemy's head, it was going to gut Tank. Gladion didn't look back to check on this development. That's because Gargulion attempted to stab it from underneath.
To his surprise, Apollonir swiftly showed up to say no to that. "Nice try," the elder Dragonoid said. Apollonir pushed the would-be assailant back to dodge the purple javelin-shaped blade that almost ended its career.
"Now! Void Impaler!" Markus shouted. Gargulion jumped straight towards Apollonir with two energy blades he crafted using his body's stones as hilts. Apollonir was going to willingly take the attack and allow the villain to phase right on through. That was the initial plan, but Gargulion had a different plan.
Gargulion exited his body and emerged in his spirit form. He flew through Apollonir, flipped forward until his arms were near Apollonir's legs. He grabbed them, and yanked Apollonir to the broken grounds. The sealed frame then attached itself right onto the villain.

Tank couldn't stop himself from cracking a smile at Markus and Gargulion's sudden entrance into the battle. Now that Gargulion attached a body to the villain, Tank could see the coward up close for the first time. Tank chose to spit in it's direction rather than shake it's hand for finally being able to be dealt with.
"I thought you'd have run off by now. I was starting to think this would be too much for you to handle," Tank said to Markus. "But, seriously, thanks. That'll make this a lot easier."
Grabbing two abilities, Tank continued his campaign against the former Legendary Soldiers. "Double ability activate! Boundary of Styx plus Relic of the Gods - Staff of Hera!"
Gladion backflipped while in the air to mask his usage of the first ability. His hands lit in the Aquos blue color. He then swiped them across the horizon, specifically making sure Apollonir and Excedra was on one side while Clayf, Oberus, Gargulion, and the villain were on the other. The specific portions of land Gladion's energy eventually grazed became the perimeter that'll separate the combatants. A large, swampy river ran through the horizon that had some form of mystical barrier. It prevented anyone from crossing unless they offered payment. In this case, it would be a hefty sum of G-Power. The price was irrelevant right now, because the river was meant to carry the dead to the Underworld; however, thanks to the idiot who eliminated the separation of the realms, all of the combatants were considered alive as well and they were in the world of the living. Because of this, no one could cross it.
As if that wasn't bad enough, Gladion was also blessed with a scepter that descended from a ray of light. He calmly floated back down to the ground with this weapon in hand. It rumbled slightly as power started exiting the scepter. It seized Excedra so that he could now be forcefully broken from his bonds to the other Legendary Soldier. In this way, Gladion was now about to turn the legendary hydra against his own brothers and sisters.
"I don't know how long they're going to let me do this, so try to take that guy out quickly now," Gladion stressed to Gargulion on the other side.

"...We need to finish this before Apollonir recovers..." Markus instantly thought upon seeing what Tank was doing. Strategically, the move was brilliant, but...Apollonir's might and prowess doesn't care about that at all...
"Haven't you learned by now that you can't control me!?" the villain shouted in confidence. "Your compatriot will be converted! There's nothing you can do to stop that, especially with you still being stuck with Legendary Soldiers to battle."
"We don't have to battle our predecessors to get rid of you nor do I have to control you to get what I want," Markus reminded this buffoon. He was speaking from within Gargulion's consciousness to avoid being targeted himself. After all, there were too many targets on the field to begin with. Him being out there would've complicated things even more. "Your powers are strong, maybe stronger than ours. But how's your body?"
"...Wait...you didn't..." the villain began to process.
"I probably did," Markus confirmed. The frame that was on this person's body started to squeeze. "Considering it's Gargulion's body you're inhabiting, we can remotely force it to reject it's host should it get 'borrowed'. I'll leave it to you to guess what's about to happen to you."
"...Curse...you...!" the person grunted. The pain was almost too much to bear, which should come as no surprise since Gargulion is now attempting to get a mushy, bloody result. The person would now have to rely on its own strength to get out of Gargulion's body. If it's possible for that to happen, could it be done before the strain drains enough of its power for Gargulion to then control it?

Vince was lightly nodding his head at the current proceedings. He even smiled a bit. This attitude quickly pissed off the villain who was currently in the process of getting killed by Gargulion.
"What is the meaning of this, Vince!? You have the power of all six of these god-level beings, and you're letting two brawlers do this to me!?" it shouted.
"..." Vince's smile slowly turned into a frown. "I fight at my own pace," Vince talked back. "Maybe...if you'd have slowed things down a bit, you'd be in a much better situation than the one you're in."
"...How dare you...I should've converted you when you were alive!" the person regretted.
"Makes no sense to wish for an earlier death," Vince scoffed. "Dead or alive, I'm always kicking."
Despite him talking like this, Vince was going to keep attacking Tank and Markus anyway. Gladion's tactic did work in that Excedra immediately started using Ultimate Trident against Apollonir without a given ability from Vince himself. Apollonir quickly got up to evade the life-eating blasts from each of the hydra's heads, but he had to stop Excedra from shooting before it hits him.
"Double ability activate! Power Windup plus Ignited Hammer!" First, Oberus began flapping her wings continuously. Her legendary power enabled this act to create an unearthly windstorm that began to devastate the Legion's building. The initial burst of the storm was enough to blow some sense into Excedra's heads, forcing him to miss Apollonir with his blasts.
Apollonir then enhanced his power by covering his skin in a lava-like veil. His movement speed was pushed higher in addition to his attack and defense. Apollonir rushed towards Excedra and got behind him. He positioned his arms around two of Excedra's tails. He deadlifted Excedra off of the ground and swung him around until he built enough momentum to send him straight to Gladion. A tail swipe with the speed Excedra's traveling at would be catastrophic.

"Oh shit..." Tank loathed. Oberus bringing this wind here makes it kinda difficult for Gladion to move around efficiently, and a large hydra was about to smack Gladion with his tails. This wasn't looking good...
"Ability activate! Relic of the Gods - Club of Heracles!" Tank quickly put in play. Gladion ditched Hera's scepter and tossed it into a portal. In exchange, he received a club that didn't have any eye-candy. It was a plain weapon, but one that carried a legacy with it.
Strangely, Gladion stood still and awaited Excedra to hit him. Before the impact, Gladion turned the club so it was facing towards the ground. He hit the ground, which released a small, but noticeable wave of power. Gladion's armor had an invisible aura around it like it was giving off heat.
Excedra's tails made contact, but Gladion only moved a couple of inches rather than get ragdolled by it. It would seem like wielding the club blessed Gladion with the god's strength, allowing him to stand strong in the midst of a great struggle.
"Gargulion, is our guy almost dead?" Gladion asked like he was getting weary of his condition.

"Getting there..." Gargulion nervously expressed as he was being targeted by Oberus and Clayf. He had his frame that housed the villain's body in his grasp so that he's always with it. He didn't want to risk Oberus taking it from him nor did he want Clayf to get his hands on it. This was a tough situation. One speedster and a defensive madman was what was on the plate.
"Double ability activate! Unleash plus Steeled Vessel!" As a precautionary move, Gargulion rubbed his palm over his frame. Black and red sparks emanated from it to show that something was done to it. It was a curse, one that would immediately seize someone who attempts to tamper with the body. Their health and stamina would be cut by a quarter.
As an upgrade to the DNA Stimulus exclusive Armed Vessel, Steeled Vessel let Gargulion also control his own body's functions in addition to capturing another technique to create a body out of. First, he released a small soul orb that amassed a spherical frame composed of Oberus' wind power. Lastly, he started to channel the villain's power due to it being within one of Gargulion's bodies...
"What!?" the villain screeched.
"I told you I don't have to control you to get what I want," Markus reiterated. This time, he was channeling power through the frames instead of forcing the being itself to use it's power.
Unfortunately, Gargulion couldn't just end this charade all at once since doing that is very taxing and could kill the weakened villain before the process finishes. He had to prioritize which boundary to fix first. Having the world of the living and the dead together in one place was absolutely unacceptable, so that was fixed first. A green light flashed over the land to execute this shift back to normalcy. Now, all that was left was to reestablish the difference between life and death.

"You idiot! What are you doing!?" the villain screeched. "You overrated piece of shit!"
Vince was straight-faced during the villain's outburst. All he was doing was taking all of this in. Simply seeing what Tank and Markus did to improve themselves since the battle with the Hurranians was all he was concerned about. He almost didn't hear the villain bitch like a little kid after talking all of that mess earlier.
"...Ability activate! Copycat!" Vince activated. With this old classic in the history of Subterra legendary warriors, Clayf could now copy what he had seen recently. Clayf chose to infringe on Gargulion's copyright to Steeled Vessel and create a new body himself. The body wouldn't be as small and puny as what Gargulion made. It was a gigantic Clayf...
"Used to build these all the time back in the day..." Clayf reminisced. "Man...where has the time gone...?" Suddenly, the boundary that Gargulion repaired ended up getting broken once more, so everything was back to the way it was when Vince entered the battle. "You can be afraid over there all you'd like. Unfortunately for you, tough guy, you're gonna have to put me and my bro here down if you want to make it out."
Now that he maintained a threatening presence to the opposition's goal, Vince chose to do something about the supposed advantage the villain believed Tank and Markus to have. "Ability activate! Holy Seal! Lock them down!"
Lars Lion prayed to the heavens prior to executing this technique. She used the light from the sun for this ability. A hexagram surrounded the entire arena. Harmful light rays began pelting the area in a never-ending cycle. Luckily for Lars Lion's allies, she chose to exclude them from the harmful effects of the ability. Gladion and Gargulion were not so lucky. The agony from being subjected to an ancient Haos spell like this would make targets struggle to move around, if they could manage to do so at all. Furthermore, the damage dealt to them is distributed to Lars Lion's allies as stamina points so they could fight longer.

Gargulion was the one who was subjected to the most punishment. Gladion's durability was heightened due to the power of Heracles, but Gargulion had nothing to defend himself against this onslaught. If he didn't do something, it was gonna be over.
"I know this is hard, but stand your ground," Markus advised Gargulion. "It'll be over soon."
"Of course," Gargulion sarcastically responded.
"Heh...ability activate! Hollow Render!" Now was the perfect time to use this ability. Circular diagrams popped up around the frame housing the villain and the new orb entity Gargulion created earlier. Sound waves were released from these two bodies. It didn't make any noise in the traditional sense, but everyone who weren't Resistors were subjected to a banshee's scream that attacked all of their senses. It was like a reset button that completely nullified everything they did. The only thing that wasn't nullified was the boundary manipulation that Clayf reestablished, because - for some odd reason - he was unable to. At the very least, Clayf's body double was disintegrated rather easily.
This ability usually requires Gargulion to use a frame as a medium for summoning the energy from the afterlife, but since the boundary was broken, the ability was noticeably stronger since they were technically in the realm itself. The former Soldiers were basically being torn apart from the inside.
"Okay. On my go, you're going to open the gate to the afterlife," Markus informed Gargulion.
"...If you say so," Gargulion sighed.
