"I know... You're right..." Seiki conceded. "It's just... This is a whole new world and feel to me. It was like when I starting singing for the first time. I get all of these ideas for my abilities, and I end up spending a lot more time there. I just lose track of everything... It's Ahio's fault though."
"I can't help it. It's just soooooo much fun," Ahio rejoiced. "I can see why you guys like this brawling stuff now. It's oddly satisfying to challenge your own abilities like this. I'm not even scared of the big bads anymore."
"So...I'm guessing you have a lot to update me with, huh?" Seiki figured since it sounded like Noland and Petra were not having a good time here... "I'm all ears whenever you feel up to it."

"'A lot' can't describe what I have to tell you," Noland laughed off...and hiding a miserable feeling at the same time. "We'll catch up later though. I was just passing by with Kendrick and my son. I don't want to distract you or anything. It's good to see you though."
Noland immediately disappeared, having gone back to where Kendrick was via Hyper Motion.

Seiki was left scratching her head in confusion. Ahio was stunned just as much as she was.
"...Did he just say what I thought he said?" Ahio wondered.
"..." Seiki didn't provide an answer. She was at a loss for words...
"...Is that why him and Petra are having problems? Did he...?" Ahio wondered even more.
"Noland's not stupid..." Seiki thought. "...I'm just surprised he could say something like that to me... I hope he's okay... He looks...tired..."
Police officers came over to pick up the weapons that Ahio had confiscated. Ahio willingly gave them up and was talking with them about what had happened. Seiki was closely monitoring her BrawlX to make sure she wasn't needed for anything. She didn't know what was going on in there, but if Nero didn't say anything, everything must be fine... That's what she believes at least.

Houston had himself a nice portable chair outside of the Complex. He was patiently waiting for Tank and Markus to walk outside as free men. News reporters were waiting with him. Luckily for them, they were given the privilege to wait in the same area as Houston. After all of the biased reports about the Resistors, it was only fair that they be granted permission to sit next to such greatness.
They weren't going to wait all day for news, because Markus and Tank were walking outside of the facility together. There were no handcuffs or officers in sight.
"Knew it," Houston remarked. "No one just walks out of there like that unless they're free. Now, I realize how hard it is to admit you're wrong - or stupid since the facts of the situation were pretty clear - but remember that the idiot from earlier lost his job a couple of minutes ago. You can make yourselves look like fools all you want, but I'm telling you right now. I'll get myself thrown in a cell for making sure none of you say a racist thing again."

The reporters were very hesitant to approach Tank and Markus after Houston said what he said. While none of them were in agreement with what happened earlier with the racist remarks, it was concerning to think that the same thing could happened to them if they say the wrong things. Houston simply knows too many people. They collectively decided not to say anything...
Only one woman came forward to ask them something. She was the same lady who spoke to Houston before concerning the lack of damning evidence at the crime scene.
"Mr. Stryker and Mr. Hederick," she signaled, bring a microphone to them along with cameras. "There has been a lot of chatter regarding how dangerous the Resistors are to 'civilized society'. Do you have any thoughts about that?"
"There's no such thing as a 'civilized society'," Tank answered. "That's all I'm going to say before I go off and possibly lose my job. Kill the cameras. I'm not in the mood."
Tank walked up to Mr. Keene who was eagerly awaiting his return. He shook the man's hand, but that was all that was going to happen today. "I'm going to go repair the arena real quick. Do you mind if we reschedule? And could you formally invite Markus to the meeting too?"

"You want it, you got it," Houston complied. "I know today was very eventful, so take as much time as you need. You as well, Markus. Be sure to do something nice for all of the fine ladies and gents that were there when it happened. If it weren't for them, this whole investigation wouldn't have gone by so fast."
Houston started packing up his travel chair and got ready to head out with his peeps and the pros. "I'll probably never know what's really going on, but do me just one solid. Don't get yourselves in any trouble you can't handle. Neither of us wants to see you come back here or worse."

Later on - after covering the shift for the person he impersonated - Andrew went to Montai's house to give her the news on what happened. Montai's legs were across Andrew's lap on the couch.
"So...you made sure Gladion and Gargulion got out of there before they talked?" she wondered.
"From what I heard, they never got out of ball form," Andrew reported. "Seiki and Ahio got them out before anything substantial was done. It looked like the people there had lost evidence, so the case was going to get thrown out anyway. Alex and Victoria tried to take custody of them, and they revealed what the Knights and Eden are up to in the process. Something's going on here."
"You're going to find that out, right?" Montai wondered.
"Since when were you interested in overstepping our boundaries?" Andrew questioned.
"Since the day Sargon threatened you and Noland," Montai answered. "If the Army and the President chooses not to mind their business, neither will I. Them, the Silver Knights, and Eden won't be doing what they're doing forever. I promise you that."
"...I'm very okay with that," Andrew said with some excitement.

Markus had returned home to stay away from people. He didn't want any questions coming his way concerning his arrest. Also, since he's famous, people are always looking for some dirt to hate on him for. This situation was it, and Markus was really not in the mood.
He only had time for one visitor who showed up at his door around 9. He looked through the live camera footage to see that it was Tank and Gladion on their own. No one had followed them. Gargulion made sure of that as he was constantly patrolling the perimeter.
Markus led him to the basement. He had a very nice man cave there: a bar, pool and fools ball tables, table tennis, plasma tv, and a leather sofa. These features weren't as important as the task at hand, so Markus never bothered to mention anything about them.
"So...what was Gladion about to tell us before we were rudely interrupted?" Markus wondered.

Gladion opened a portal that dropped the book he read earlier. He took it and tossed it on the couch. When it landed, the book's contents could be seen briefly. There were a few pages, but MANY were missing. "All I can really say is...we're in a lot of trouble," Gladion started. "'The Tribunal' - as Vince calls them - seem to be obsessed with gaining power that 'transcends the limitations of the body and mind.' There was a little blurb talking about what would take place before they come back, not unlike the book of Revelation in the Holy Bible. This Collision fiasco was mentioned in that blurb. Some of them are coming from 'a place outside time and space' to 'save' more people. They do so under the leadership of figureheads called 'Fathers' and 'Mothers'. Each 'Father' and 'Mother' has dominion over a planet. All members are warned to be attentive to what the 'knights of rebuke' are doing, because they will do anything they can to deny the humans their 'ascension to the place of power that the patriarch and matriarch have entered against their wishes.'"Gladion took a deep breath after giving out all that information. It was truly taxing on the mind. "That's all I got," Gladion concluded. "There's a lot missing from that book, but it does give us some insight as to who and what we're dealing with. These are human beings that have insane power.""So, Maurice's old man must have gotten sucked into whatever these guys are preaching, and that's how he was able to do what he did?" Tank gathered. "Sounds about right," Gladion wagered. "But what does this have to do with the Angels butting into Noland's life then?" Tank reasonably questioned.

Markus was replaying what Vince told them in his head. Somehow, everything he was hearing was leading somewhere...
"Mr. Hardy told us to watch Achron... My best guess right now would be that 'knights of rebuke' mean them," Markus tried to piece together. "Asuka's Ares isn't an ordinary being, and it is a knight. Of course, there's always the problem with taking certain text too literally, but...I can't see any other possibility of the Angels being that spooked about a ring from this woman. There's also the Andersens' powers that we don't know too much about either. I'm not saying they're connected, but...I really don't know right now."
Markus sighed. He was trying hard not to think of too many things and to take this slow, but he was starting to feel very angry. Vince warned them both that the Knights and Eden were not who they thought they were, which means they could be wolves in sheep's clothing. The Silver Knights were very worrisome right now, but...what about Eden?
"...Suppose this ring Noland has belongs to the Tribunal's enemy. This book tells them to watch for whatever they're doing. You think there's a Tribunal member in Eden? Maybe a 'Mother'?" Markus speculated for the sake of discussion.

"You may be onto something here," Tank started to agree. "The Andersens look human, but they have powers. Then again, so do I, but theirs are far more powerful than mine. Even Nero has powers after getting hit with a Forbidden Ability... What do we do with that?"
"But...this guess with Eden having one of these goons in their ranks... That'd surprise me just as much as Gunz not making it to the pros," Tank shrugged.
"What about the part that says the knights are trying to deny the humans their rise to power?" Gladion wondered. "Did Noland and Drago cross a certain threshold that has certain beings scared?"
"I really hope that's not true. We're all not that far behind him. If he crossed some threshold, then we should all be targets too," Tank scoffed. "Besides, we can take him."
"We've all taken the Trial of the Twelve, so the Silver Knights already put threat levels on us," Gladion added.
"Still one of the biggest regrets in the past two years," Tank sighed. "But...I get the point. Right now, our focus is on Hardy and what he has that THEY want to look at him for. He said he was getting followed ever since he was called the strongest, and that was WITHOUT him having that ring."
"Yeah...after what you told me when we you got out, I don't believe you were told the whole truth," Gladion stated.
"Will WE tell the whole truth to everyone else about this though?" Tank wondered. "If they find out, the Tribunal will go after them too..."

"I don't know who we'll tell at this point. For all we know, no one can be trusted," Markus summed up. "There could be people in the government who align themselves with this ideology. Our own family members could be on either side. Maurice's father was, so it can be anyone."
"...But we can't let the rest of us get caught off guard by someone who could be that powerful. Who knows if there's someone else who could also use the previous Legendary Soldiers against us. Maybe there's forces worse than them that they have access to... The Resistors as a whole must know about these things and be ready for them..."
"...Because they're here...and they've come to take their powers back..."
