Tinsley allowed Noland and Allen to walk away towards the outdoor arena. As they did, he started expressing how he felt in his mind. It was a lot to take in for him, some good and some bad.
"I honestly expected the Master Blaze to be the one fighting, not Alana," Tinsley thought. "I guess I shouldn't be too disappointed... We wanted him, but...Alana or Allen would suffice... It's still unclear about how powerful Noland actually is though, and that will definitely be a setback..."

Most of the people in the Complex's arenas migrated to the outdoor arena where it was safer to conduct battle between two powerful brawlers. In this way, everyone else wouldn't be disturbed and can conduct their activities normally.
Alana stood on one end of the battlefield while Jenna was on the other side. Lots of people flocked on over to the bleachers to see what was going to happen. Everyone had their phones, cameras, or any other recording device ready to go. Alana and robed Hydranoid were standing side-by-side while the crowd starting cheering for...Jenna...
"You know...she could have an Ares in that necklace," Alana mentioned to Hydranoid.
"So what?" he responded.
"I'm just saying that whoever is in there could be...different. Just keep a clear head, alright?"
"When don't I have a clear head...heads?"
"You know what I'm talking about."
"I'm the most clear-minded Bakugan out of all of us."
"Just get out there..."
"What you're insinuating is beyond me." Hydranoid jumped out into the arena and assumed his monster form. He made sure to not cause any rumbling from him doing too much for his entrance. He couldn't care less about the theatrics of this battle anyways. All he wanted was battle energy to feed on.
"Just a normal battle! Good luck out there!" Alana shouted so Jenna could hear her.

Jenna looked up at Hydranoid to get a good view of what she would have to deal with. He had a very intimidating appearance. She didn't look too disturbed by seeing him this close though. "They don't seem to say, 'Bakugan brawl,' anymore," Jenna noticed. "I thought that was what brawlers always did when a Bakugan enters battle. What should I say for you?""It would sound weird even if there was something you could say," the being sighed. "Don't worry about the general proceedings or whatever they do. Just follow her lead.""Okay. Stay safe," Jenna requested. The necklace shined in an onyx light. It then progressively disappeared from around her neck. Then, an onyx pillar of light shone down towards the arena. A being as tall as Hydranoid came walking out of it. It was a humanoid wearing plated armor and wielding a pointy spear. This being walked around the arena grounds to get a feel for the environment. It looked...confused. It was like the Earth was very unnatural for it to be on... "So this is how the Earth feels after all this time... Fascinating..." it observed. It then looked across at Hydranoid with a curious look on its face. "They were right... You take after us quite nicely. The height and look...nice resemblance, but...with a mysterious affliction that I don't recognize..." it incoherently mentioned. "...I suppose that shouldn't matter now... You probably don't even know what I'm saying."Jenna activated her BrawlX for battle. She attempted to calibrate it to attune the settings for this being, but...there was no match. "This isn't able to analyze your capabilities," Jenna informed the being. The being waved its hand behind its back. In doing so, something changed with the BrawlX. Suddenly, the device was loaded with information about the being and what it could do. "Thanks for that," Jenna thanked. "Okay. If everything's ready to go, let's brawl."( Boss Theme)

"I'm going to guess that you've been living under a rock," Hydranoid presumed. "Ah well. Let's just get this over with. I have things to do."
Alana wasn't really sure what this being was bringing to the table, and she was half sure that Jenna has minimal information on what Hydranoid is capable of doing in his present form. She had to break the ice somehow...
"Phantom!" Alana called out. This was the old Phantom Transmission ability, which - in case the audience hasn't figured out from Hydranoid's last display - was integrated into a maneuver he could perform without assistance from an ability card. He vanished in a purple puff of smoke, appeared on Geos' left, and threw a giant punch to it's lower body.

To everyone's shock, Geos caught Hydranoid's fist in it's palm. The pressure generated from Hydranoid's power was seemingly nullified when he made contact with Geos. It didn't produce a result at all...
"How'd you know? You read my mind?" Geos asked Hydranoid about his early assessment of it's comments.
"Absolution...?" Jenna read off of her BrawlX. "It activated automatically..."
"It is a passive trait," Geos clarified. "And it allows me to do..." Geos demonstrated it's power by unleashing a mighty wave of force from the palm of his hand. Doing so repelled Hydranoid backwards into the stadium barrier. "...that."

Hydranoid's massive body slammed into the barrier and cracked it. He was able to land safely on his feet. That was all fine and dandy, especially since the cracks on the barrier disappeared like it was regenerated or something.
"It's really about to happen again..." some guy in the audience said. "You were a lot better when you were Karen!"
"..." Alana didn't pay him any mind, but it was annoying to hear that name again...
"Keep that same energy," Hydranoid challenged the audience.
"Ability activate! Blaster Head!" In an attempt to figure out what Geos just did to Hydranoid, Alana fired off a destructive ability. Projectiles will be launched out of each of Hydranoid's heads. For the two heads in the middle, they shot an energy beam and a spiral of dark energy to create a spectacular-looking attack. The left head infused it with bio-electricity that spread outward. The right head spammed spiky pellets that would serve as a huge annoyance. This was usually a way to destroy massive defenses, so if this didn't work, then Alana will know what kind of power she's up against.

This was an alarming attack to be unleashed upon someone so early and so quickly. If anything was to be taken from the Resistor's reputation, Alana was probably just getting started.
Geos planted it's spear into the ground when Hydranoid's assault came through. A spherical, onyx-colored barrier appeared that guarded against the attacks with relative ease. The barrier itself rose into the air, carrying Geos with it.
"Absolution...gone...but Domain replaced it...?" Jenna silently noted. This was the same ability that was used inside of the Complex to ward off so many people... "Another passive, I'm guessing? But...there are cracks on the design...?"
"I will tell you all about that in due time when we've been together long enough," Geos assured her. While Geos was airborne, Jenna then saw Domain disappear. Absolution came back with similar cracks in the design. With this, Geos looped around Hydranoid's back in an attempt to run him over with the barrier.

Alana was greatly surprised by Blaster Head not working. Hydranoid was even more surprised. This was starting to become really difficult... "This is a first..." Hydranoid admitted as much as he didn't want to. He hastily jumped to the left to avoid getting steamrolled. "This is really throwing me off... I'm not really used to this happening.""..." Alana was thinking about the situation very carefully. She heard Geos say something about passive abilities, as in it activates by itself without any intervention. It wasn't any different from Phantom Transmission being a passive trait since Alana doesn't need to use an ability to trigger it. This thinking made her question the viability of firing anymore abilities since she doesn't know how Geos operates yet. She does know how to combat something like this though. She has done it before...

"You've got her on the ropes! Keep going!" an audience member shouted in support of Jenna.
"Hasn't even left a scratch! You got her!" another one stated. These outbursts led to everyone chanting Jenna's name. Jenna herself was surprised by this. She really didn't know what was going on...
She did figure out the basic mechanics behind what Geos was doing. Whenever Geos attacked, Absolution was active. Whenever Geos defended, Domain was active. This said to her that both passive abilities activated depending on the mode of battle Geos was in.
"I think I'm starting to get this now," Jenna believed.
"Not completely," Geos asserted. The generalization that Jenna must have been thinking of in terms of attack and defense was basic. It is a lot more to it than that. Geos circled back around to Hydranoid in an attempt to run him over again. If Hydranoid is on the run, then there was no reason to stop.

Hydranoid was a little worried about the state of things. If he gets hit by Geos, that's going to be a lot of damage. He didn't want to take it head-on either, especially when his previous attempts to attack Geos failed. Still, if him and Alana were going to find out what Geos is using, they're going to have to take a risk.
"Hydranoid, you still trust me, right?" Alana asked.
"If you need to ask me that now, I'm about to do something really stupid," Hydranoid knew. "Go on. Put me out of my misery."
"Alright..." Alana intentionally waited for Geos to get within 100 meters of Hydranoid before putting her next ability into play. "Ability activate! Abolisher Head!"
Hydranoid's right head shot a Hydranoid head-shaped energy blast towards Geos. It bit into the barrier. The energy head then exploded when contact was made. The barrier itself disappeared. Hydranoid jumped to his right and swung his body in the same direction so that he could carry the weight of his body into the tail swipes that he was hoping would smack Geos off the face of the planet.

The craftiness of Alana's planning left Geos without any time to avoid being hit. It was smacked by the strongest parts of Hydranoid's body. It's body spun when it was flung to the barriers, which had huge cracks in it upon hitting it. It bounced off of the barrier and rolled on the ground for a little bit until it was able to use it's hands to grasp the ground and halt it's momentum.
"..." A lot of 'Woahs' and 'Damns' were heard coming from an audience who seemed to be eager to count Alana out of the battle. No one expected Alana to counter like that.
"That was a loud hit..." Jenna noticed. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Geos answered. It picked itself up from the ground and shook the blow off. "They just got rid of my Domain..."
"Really...?" Jenna asked with a hint of surprise. She looked at her BrawlX to see that Domain was grayed out and had a red X through it. It was like it was eliminated from the battle... "Huh..."
"This one's a lot more troubling than I perceived from our initial exchanges," Geos admitted.
Jenna noticed that Absolution was swapped out with something else: Command. Geos was lifted high into the sky. An onyx aura surrounded Geos' body as it activated some form of technique. It became really dark outside as storm clouds littered the sky to block out the sun. A massive tornado was formed in the center of the arena, and lightning strikes shot down towards the ground like a cannon was pumping them out each second.

"Oh wow..." Alana gasped. "No doubt about it now... This girl's something else..."
"...These attacks are a lot weaker than the barrier that was supposed to flatten me," Hydranoid noticed. He sounded very unimpressed by what was happening in front of him. He didn't want to write it off just yet since Geos did very well to last this long against him, but...it was uneventful to go from such a strong power to a weak one...
"Ability activate! Wizard Proxy!" Hydranoid's body released a dark smoke from his body that took on the shape of a Dragonoid avatar that was the same as the one Drago made when him, Drago, and Gorem teamed up against Hydra back then. A scary, Excedra-sounding roar came from this entity as it shot a stream of smoke towards everything Geos was throwing at Hydranoid. It was all devoured like it was nothing. It didn't help that Geos' stunt created a ton of battle energy for it to get a feel for. It attempted to fall straight on Geos to smother it in unstoppable force.
"Get out of the way before it falls on you!" an audience member shouted towards Geos. When Alana got put under some stress, no one supported her, but Jenna gets all the praise. What an eventful day they were having.

"Even all that isn't anything to Alana... She's amazing..." Jenna expressed.
"Relax, mortals," Geos suggested to the audience before they have heart attacks. Absolution was entered into Jenna's BrawlX again, and with it, Geos took it's spear to slice straight down towards the ground. In doing so, the smoke was dissipated into nothing...
"Of course, you're the same," Jenna guessed.
"I do my best," Geos shrugged before dashing towards Hydranoid with it's spear pointed towards Hydranoid's chest. It's speed was astounding this time around, way faster than anything it has ever done up to that point.

"What...?" Hydranoid gasped when his Excedra-related powers were just cut through like pieces of paper. Hydranoid then did his best to evade Geos' approach. He was able to dodge the attack by moving over since Geos' wasn't moving so fast that it couldn't be seen; however, something bad happened when Hydranoid did that...
The attack seemed to carry so much power that it's force was covering a wider area than where the spear itself would indicate to anyone. Hydranoid's durable scales were torn through, and his skin was sliced open. Hydranoid roared in agonizing pain as he fell over.
"..." Alana was stuck between concern and surprise. She didn't know how to react to what just happened. All she could do was look at Geos to try and get a good idea on what just happened...

The audience was ecstatic upon seeing Geos gut Hydranoid the way that it did. Again, Jenna looked down to see that Command was gone, but Absolution was there. This mysteriousness to Geos' combat ability had her very interested to see what it was going to do now that Hydranoid was vulnerable.
Another mysterious detail was that Geos' armor had cracks show up on it when it initiated that attack. Absolution on Jenna's BrawlX also showed similar cracks to it as well. If this wasn't a cosmetic detail, then it must have something to do with the power output on the ability.
"But...Command didn't have any cracks when Geos did what it did with the storm..." Jenna noticed. "So...power regulation has to be something that Geos can freely do with Absolution, Domain, and Command..."
And with that thought, Jenna posed a question to Alana right as Geos moved in for a victory. "Are you able to continue?" Jenna asked. Geos turned around to look at Hydranoid. It got ready to do something else with it's spear.
