If you play a card before the battle, but the opponents bakugan isn't out, does that card even have a target?

This is what I think. A gate is set. I brawl in my Bakugan. To make sure you are at a lower G, I can use a card that says 'opponents power level will be at half their original G power'. That' an example of a before battle card.

Hugh, I made this thread to get other people's opinion on the subject. It's a possible bias if your the only person who says anything about it because it directly involves you

Say I have a before battle card(I actually do) and it says opponent loses 500g each turn. They do not lose 500g that turn cause they do not have a bakugan.(pretty simple) Bit if you have opponent cannot activate normal abilities then they cannot cause the target is the opponent . So I guess if the target isn't the enemy bakugan specifically then you are fine

Another question. Is the effect to bring out a bakugan and card from the opponents bakupack still legal? If so how does it work? Does the ability brought out instantly activate and does it count towords the limit?

Sorry, Ryek. Concerning the card in questions, sparring from countering, is is only a Special that can be used to bring in more Bakugans(If the opponents decide not to counter)?

I don't know, it's a unused effect from my bakupack, so I want to know what it means

May I see what the card/support is that has it?

The first effect is currently illegal. To be honest, the last effect is way too vague. At this point, I could only make assumptions since the creator did not say what will happen when they are brought out. My guess is you choose a bakugan and card from your opponent's bakupack and use it for yourself. Unfortunately, due to the way it is worded, it seems like the card will count towards the limits since he did not say he was using it from the bakupack, which would have voided that penalty; he said he was going to bring the card out of it. I will also assume that the card you bring out must be activated on that exact turn since you're not allowed to save it for future turns due to the risk of countering future effects.
