Ladies and gentlemen, due to popular demand and a longing for a new ranking tournament to update the rankings, I am proud to re-introduce the largest tournament ever created in WC history, the World Tournament! This tournament moves away from the standard bracket layout that everyone loves to use and innovates with a point system designed to give everyone a fair chance as well as making it more accessible to everyone aside from veterans, and you don't even have to register! Following the climactic battle between Noland and Markus for the championship, I'm sure we'll see some fantastic battles leading to the final rounds.
How do you advance in this tournament?
Each contestant will be given 5 weeks from Wednesday, May 13, 2015 to win as many brawls as they can. Brawls started before this date do not count. Only those started following this announcement will be applied. You must pm Damian your wins so they can be recorded here. The top 4 players with the most wins will move on to the final rounds. There is no limit to how many times you can battle.
Does it matter if you lose?
To a certain extent, yes it does. Players generally will not have anything done to their tournament standings if they lose a battle. HOWEVER, if you happen to be in the top 4 during these four weeks and you lose a battle, one win will be deducted from your total wins.
What will happen if "mistakes are made" in battles used for the tournament?
Players must refrain from cheating, boosting, and any sort of behavior that ruins the legitimacy of your brawl. The 3 strike system will still be used in battles. Here is what happens if you are caught doing any of these things:
1st offense: You lose the brawl that you were in and you are on probation for 3 days. (This means you cannot brawl for the tourney for those 3 days.)
2nd offense: You lose the brawl that you were in, but it will count as two losses. You are on probation for 6 days and are unable to use any items created after May 13 for your future first round brawls. If what you were doing was terribly bad, I can handicap you. ^_^
3rd offense: You are dismissed from the tournament.
(Boosting will be treated as if it is your third offense. There is a zero-tolerance policy for this behavior.)
Remember that cheaters never prosper. We're all trying to play a fair game. Don't ruin that for others or you will pay for it.
Is there anything else you may be hiding from us?
> You may not use banned effects in this tournament.
> You are NOT allowed to take another player's Bakugan.
> Plot brawls do not count. (This is for those canons who thought they could abuse the potential flaw in my rules had I not said that.)
> If anyone competing in the tournament declines your brawl, report them to me and I will have to ask them why they did. If the reason isn't legitimate, then the person who declined it just gave their potential opponent the win. The reason why is to make sure no one loses or wins because you decided to decline brawls on purpose.
If you have any questions regarding this tournament, pm Noland Hardy or Damian Kirifuda for more information. I wish all of you good luck. You'll need it.
