So far we have the deaths of bakugans, classing of them and cards, along with some other nice quirks to the system. I'm fine with that.
To respond to DG's RP note: I've been looking at starting up an RP, but it wont be like the episodes we have going. Its hard to explain how it shall work, I'll have a sample one up an running within the next three days if anyone is interested.
I'm still suggesting that RP has its own grouping on the front so it comes to the light of more eyes. Honestly, when I first cams here I remember not finding that general RP board until I looked around the general board itself.
Then I have to strongly agree to what Blaze said, and more. I feel that everyone who has been contributing to this discussion thread big or small has been a really big help. Everyone's voice counts and we need all the voices we can get if we wish to make this a better forum. (Sorry for my sappyness, I'll stop)

To put in my two cents to Darkness General, the problem i have with starting up a roleplay in the General section is that there isnt enough people actively willing to participate. I originally wanted to make a roleplay to end the current arc for Ryek, but i just dont see any sort of attendence that would make it worth while. Our small active roster makes the General Roleplay board useless
On everything else, if implemented right, i think it could help turn the tide of attendence

Trent, when it comes to your concern about the difficulty of understanding these changes, I'll respectfully disagree. The rules here are simple enough as it is, and people still don't get it. That's like saying it's difficult to understand how to play Call of Duty (I'm bullying that game a lot, I know). There's a progression system to all of this anyway, so everything won't get jammed in their faces all at once. Other than that, I'll look over the plugin ideas and your proposal in my spare time to see where we can go with that.
I'll second what Shira said. We've come up with some very good ideas for the battle system that we'll work with. Let's direct our attention to another topic: roleplaying.
Before I get into that, I want to address Darkness's post because it's something we all need to realize as members of this site. We have lost our identity. The expectation for WC's across the span of urls was intended to be a clash of brawling and roleplay. We've cut one of them out completely. If someone comes in here and sees that, they're going to leave because there's not an active presence of an integral part of the site. The system that we helped create should breathe new life into brawling that should aid newcomers as suggested so that they do not feel intimidated at the start. You acknowledged this as a problem yourself, so the solution to that would be to make some changes, whether it's big or small. New people are still entering the site even to this day, and I don't want them getting the same false impressions that others have been receiving. We all came together to make a change, so to have doubts about the success rate means that you don't believe in your input or our abilities in general. That's not why we're here. Negativity will drag us further down; none of us needs to have that on the table. (Thank you, Blaze)
I also will acknowledge that I have said season 3's ending would be my departure. That in conjunction with how much influence I seem to have here is the reason why I made this thread. I know what's going to eventually happen if we continue down this road. I was never obligated to keep this site running (even though I kinda am since I'm the co-admin...), but I have morals. I clearly see certain problems here that I am able to fix, so if I leave knowing that those problems are what's causing damage, I'd betray everything I stood for in the past. I don't want to be that guy.
Now for the topic at hand...
I don't want to sound like a villain here, but there's a clear reason why I am not too big on open battle royals in my plot (If you've seen people like Zero, there's no need for me to go into detail about that.). The activity is also a reason why you don't see that too much anyway. I can't fix that issue right now.
I also can't do anything about is the open roleplays. Like I had Xavier say in the plot, that's your job. That can't just be put on me. I'm already making the plotline itself and using multiple characters, some of which I shouldn't be using, but have to anyway because of terrible members in the past. No one did that when Mindy and Calvin were doing theirs; people made it themselves.
We've agreed that there needs to be a stricter presence on the character profiles. It brings that sense of immersion that shouldn't just be relegated to the official story. Other than requiring more effort and having someone moderate them, is there anything else that should be done in this area? Is there anything that needs to be changed for the Bakupacks?

Area of Profiles and Bakupacks.
I do not have anything else to add for Profiles. I will just repeat what I think I said. Profile Creation needs to be a little more complicated. If you have low and vague requirements people do not take it seriously. This is from my personal point of view since I have created many profiles and I personally do not take it too seriously.
As for Bakupacks I would recommend you do what you have been saying already; hiding them. I suppose you can select a thread and make it visible only for creator and staff. If you are planning to do this I am 101% for it.
As for the thing I asked you about in the chatbox, forget it. I would do some complaints and suggestions on the Season 2, but I don't think I'm the right person to do so.

I like the idea of honor points to determine member rank, and I like the idea of differentiating support weapons by type. The suggestions here are great, and I have a few of my own (sorry if this post is short, I'm on mobile). 1. Higher ranked players should not be allowed to challenge down, but not vice versa. What this means is that an ultimate brawler cannot challenge a newbie to get free honor points, but if a newbie feels like they've grown a pair and want to challenge a higher ranked brawler, they can do so for honor points with a multiplier effect added based on the difference in rank (like if a 1 Star member challenges a 3 star member, the Honor Point multiplier would be x2 for the difference). 2. We need more officially sponsored events like the PBL. I'm all for bringing it back, but the entire staff and community would need to buy in to make it big and a prominent part of our site. 3. It's been stated before in this thread, but I'll say it again. We need more open RPs for the players. We can have the canon story to drive the general plot and allow the writer of the season to explore the different characters, but we need to open up areas in the Official RP board to give non-canon characters places from the plot to go dick around in. Those are my suggestions, and, as a side note, I will be posting in the official RPs when I get back to Waco on the 6th. I'm sorry I've been so bad with posting, but I'm graduating early and have been having to bust my ass to do so. Anyway, let me know what you think. I totally agree with you Carson. When I joined this site a couple of years back, I used to battle big players and ended up losing. I understood then that it's not really morale boost for a new player coming here for the first time and losing. So I too suggest that we do not allow new players to battle with high ranking players (except of course, if they want to do a ranked battle). New players must battle players with less than 10 wins or less only. I would also like to suggest that people will be active if they are made full use of this site. They would be active if there are lots of opportunities for them to play and I have go to say that new players love competitions. Also, I see that once a team is created only a couple of them remain active. This too makes things boring. I suggest that all inactive groups or teams be disbanded. Inactivity can be measured by the number of active members posting in the team thread. For eg: If a team thread is inactive, then that team should be disbanded. Now about the plot. Well, I went to the first plot and I loved the story. But as I came to Evoblast, I found it a bit boring. So what I am suggesting is a realistic fantasy plot, something like Battle Brawlers where you have an annonymous person (like me ) and its revealed only in the end. Realistic + Fantasy + Mystery = One sexy plot. These are my suggestions. I am open to any questions or doubts regarding this. I am open to changes as well. Now, just for some fun, can anyone (excpet DG of course) guess who I am??

Seeing people so eager to start many plots gives me a pessimistic feeling. I am not saying plots are bad. Quite the opposite, but there is an issue.
Shira said she would start a fantasy plot. Ryek said he would start a plot. And now Hawk said he would start one as well.
What makes me pessimistic is the following. Some people might be reluctant to start a plot if someone else is starting one. They might think that participants will lose interest and stick to the more dominant plot. This is not necessarily going to happen, but I just have a bad feeling that someone will not make it or give up on it because of the reason above.
What I want to say to three of you who want to do a plot. Just do it. Whenever you have time and will do it. People ALREADY said they would join. And those people are active here, so you don't have to be afraid of them giving up and going away. And why would they give up? I see some good ideas going in your threads, so don't give up on making your plot. No pressure. If you don't have time or don't want to it is alright. I gave up on mine because of lack of time.
Aside from that I want to talk about Official Plot. I barely have anything to complain about not because there are no mistakes, but because I won't point out same mistakes all the time.
My current satisfaction level with the plot dropped a lot. Because all burden is (as always) placed on the owner, Damian. Because of various reasons he controls more characters than he should. I will not go into it. You have my and his rants from before. If you want to know then read them.
People applied for characters and realized they couldn't do it because life strikes at times. But the bad thing is that Damian takes and controls their characters. Maybe it would have been a better idea if someone else applied for characters Damian and Jamal, Markus and Tracy.
Personally, I think I could do character Damian well in a RP because I am used to characters that are A-holes beyond imagination. (Yes, I failed at Makoto Nakashima. His character was somehow 'empty' to me and I could not do much to change him in than little amount of episodes)
Maybe this is a material of discussion with Damian himself in a PM, but I am pointing it out here. If someone has time they could take another character to push that burden off Damian's back.
I am sure I could do it, but if Damian wants to do them this way it is fine by me. (I think it is pretty late for Markus to be taken by anyone since Damian made him quite unique and I think I couldn't be be able to do it there. Or anyone.)
This is why I am eager to apply with more characters. Because I have a lot of time on my hands in many occasions. Since plot could function normally without Alex and Lydia I guess it was a pointless effort there.
Another topic in Official Plot, but I want to keep it away from upper one. Development between characters.
Characters' relationships should be developed and I don't mean like their love lives and that sort of thing I can find in every episode. I mean just 'relations'. How are characters towards one another? In terms of behavior and what do they talk about?
This is especially important for Resistors in my eyes. I have not ever seen Tank and Seiki having a very important conversation in a long time. Or Noland and Markus. Or Allen and any character except Noland and Alana. This is what I noticed, but I might have missed it.
Normally, everything is like this.
Noland-Alana-Allen Noland-Seiki Noland-Tracy (seems to be less of this one now) Tank-Markus Tank-Noland (rarely now)
It would not hurt if characters like Alana and Tank or Markus would have a conversation or battle against someone. They are all in one team after all.
I apologize for bad English at places, my long posts etc. This is all my perspective. Not trying to say your ideas or plots are bad. I just want to make it easier for you. Also, if you have something to say about this please point it out. I overthink, so I 'ovetalk' and 'overwrite' consequently and is hard to keep track of entire post.
And yes, Hawk, they probably can ^_^

In addressing the character dialogues, I'm doing it in a way that makes sense to everyone's character instead of forcing them to interact with each other. Realistically, Seiki wasn't going to have those conversations with most of them given her tendency to shy away from them in the first place (that may be fixed following Oberus's test, but we'll see). There'd be no reason for Seiki and Tank to have a conversation on that level. What are they going to talk about? Tank and Markus are also professionals attending college; they're not around the others enough for me to do that.
What I'm trying to say is that there'll be a time and place for everything, but I'm not going to rush nor force it. That's my game plan.

I would love to give ideas on the plot but I currently have none. I have, however, been jotting a few ideas down and would like to share them.
Battle Locations: I really don't see any [unique] difference among the different battle arenas. There is no sense of variation at all. Why don't we add specific limits to what can be used in these arenas, as well as consequences for disobeying them. Take it like the arenas' power capacities being overloaded. The challenger or challenged (depending on what we pick, but I'd say challenged) should be favoured by transforming the battlefield to his/her attribute which might increase his/her Bakugan's power or be a multiplier to its attacks. The power capacity would regulate effect usage and tune down everyone's effects. If the field is overloaded, it might cause damage, depending on the amount of power the field's capacity was oveloaded by. It might take time for a repair and its capacity might change.
Premium and Copyrighted Effects: I do not see any flaw in this. Normally, in most games involving spells, you do not have the power to create your effects. This is a roleplay and members are given the power to use their creativity. Since creativity should bring a sense of accomplishment, a copyright would be loved. Having premium effects ensure that it's hard for brawlers to acquire effects like looping which has allowed chain reactions that make a move long. It'll also help to curb an arena's destruction.
Finally, let's try Bakugan Season 1's system! I just can't stop thinking about it. I mean, it would be really fun and intense. Knowing which gate is where won't be a problem at all, I think? Numbering them would be good. I can give an illustrative battle if this idea is voted for. This game will really become strategy based.

Adding onto what Trent said: I was looking through the battle areas too, it can get a little cluttered sometimes. Personally, I think there should be a battle board for official competition, one for just brawling in general, and maybe one other one with no limitations.
- World Stadium : Fight in official competitions for prizes and rankings! (View {where ever the news is for current battle events will be posted} for current events) - Gym : Fight against other brawlers upon challenge, regular rules apply! - Forgotten Allyeay : Rules will be set by brawlers, wins don't count towards experience points.
This is what I'm seeing, just throwing it out there.
If we do decide to go with S1 fighting style, I can design some various gate set-ups visuals. And it would be interesting to see how it would play out with a season one battle system, there could be effects that a bakugan can help their ally on an adjacent gate.

Compiling everything we've agreed to so far, we've said:
-Stricter requirements for character profiles
-Settings changed in the Bakupack Board so that only the creator and staff members are able to view Bakupacks
-Battlefield modifications so that there is variation (I'm not on board with Trent's idea of giving certain bonuses to one brawler. That can't happen.)
-Greater interest from all current members for both roleplaying and brawling (includes sponsored events)
-Honor Points, experience system to rank brawlers
-Differentiating support weapon types (every support weapon won't be the same)
-Class System for Cards (Yes, Forbidden Cards will have the potential to harm the user.)
-Greater emphasis on currency and what it can be used for
-Rules in place for Premium and Copyrighted Effects so that power can be regulated
-Evolution/Upgrade points, challenges that need to be completed to reach a certain milestone with an item
-Changes made to teams, making them more useful to be apart of
-Season 1 Battle System (the rules are in the staff room)
Is there anything else that needs to be addressed here on this site before we tackle these problems?

Oh, this is just me but: - Organization of boards. Mainly the brawling locations and RP boards
- Possible different forum skins/themes (one based of each attribute maybe? Sorry, I'm getting carried away)
This is just, to me what I think would be a nice touch to make the place more appealing, but like I said, it's just me.

The battle boards can be a little iffy to navigate. How come the board for event brawls is in the middle? Would it make more sense for it to be around the top? Just moving the locations around in order of importance perhaps?
As for the RP, the RP should have its own separate grouping away from general threads and battle posts. Those boards can be quite busy, so recent RP posts will be overlooked by the other posts.
