The Hex Code is an empowered form granted to direct descendants of the original Bakugan. Unlike the Switch Code, this mode is a form of pure darkness. It turns the user into a destructive menace that will stop at nothing to eradicate all forms of life that dare to stand in the way of a Hex Code user. The abilities of the user are boosted to a point where even the mightiest of warriors will fall prey to its corruptible influences.

Origins The Hex Code is a very rare embodiment of power that is only available to a Bakugan with the proper genetic code, specifically the Ultimate Warrior Gene - a specialized strand of DNA that denotes an individual as a descendant of the original Dragonoid or Dharaknoid, the two original Bakugan. This mode can be considered a confusing and unexpected occurrence. While Bakugan with this gene will be consciously aware that they possess a special power, the Hex Code is certainly far away from his/her imagination. It can even be argued that the Hex Code is more rare to see than the Switch Code itself. This is due to the fact that the Hex Code will awaken when the user feels a powerful negative emotion that pushes them to the brink of their consciousness. More often than not, the user will become evil the moment this mode is awakened, making it near impossible for the user to even know about it if they are put to death so that they will not wreak anymore havoc. Those who manage to survive the initial awakening controls forbidden power. Serious physical and psychological training is required for this form to be used in battle in a state where the user is not evil, even more so than the Switch Code itself. If the user is successful in controlling this dark power, their power makes them able to compete with even the most powerful forces in the universe and can even succeed where the Switch Code fails, albeit with some stipulations involved. Attributes The abilities granted to a Hex Code wielder are catastrophic. Like the Switch Code, the user's speed, durability, and power output are enhanced to a near god-like state. This form does not provide the health regeneration that the Switch Code provides. It also doesn't make the user Dextra either. What this form does in return makes up for these differences. The user has a special arsenal of Forbidden Abilities at their disposal that are noticeably more lethal than any other form of Forbidden Techniques, enough to where many high-level opponents are seen getting obliterated by a single ability. While activating these type of abilities would be detrimental to anyone else, a Hex Code user suffers little to no penalty for using these, assuming that the user is beyond the stage of the initial awakening. The other difference in this form from the Switch Code is the manner of how this form is controlled. Since this form does not operate on energy control, the user has an easier time maintaining this form. This leads to a quicker activation time than the Switch Code, making it easier for it to be used in short bursts to quickly finish an enemy. As a penalty for this, the user's stamina decreases very rapidly during prolonged use, making this form less viable than the Switch Code in most circumstances; however, this form can also benefit from the mastery of the Switch Code. If the user has mastered the Switch Code, they may apply this level of control to the Hex Code to unlock the full potential of this mode. The power of this form is made even scarier with that level of energy control, as the user would not have to rely on their emotions to maintain the level of power they wield. Additionally, their mental stability would also make it easier to stay true to their beliefs, forgoing the possibility of them turning evil.
