In antiquity the city-state was known as Lacedaemon, while the name Sparta referred to its main settlement on the banks of the Eurotas River in Laconia, in south-eastern Peloponnese. it rose to become the dominant military land-power in Ancient Greece. Sparta wielded the strongest haos bakugan whom they called Spartan. Spartan was recognized as the overall leader of the combined Greek forces, Sparta was the principal enemy of Thebes, Thebes wields the strongest Darkus bakugan whom they called Thebai. Thebai was an evil Bakugan that wanted to rule the universe and Spartan was the only one that could stop him. But Spartan was defeated by thebai. The Thebans exciled the Spartans from their own land, 10 years later the Spartans attacked the thebans and was victorious the Spartans claimed their land back. But then they saw a bakugan, the Bakugan cursed Thebai because of his actions, Thebai had fallen into a deep slumber . He was then placed in a temple in a far away land by the Spartans. A few years later Spartan was also placed in a temple where he would stay and wait for Thebai to awaken. And would stop him from destroying the world.
