If you are new to this site or returning after a long time then you may not know how things work, how to do things and a good way of starting up. I am Blaze Hayes, a member since May 24, 2015. When I joined things were done differently and I know how hard it is starting. There was a huge gap back then. Nowadays things are more even but it can still be hard when you starting out.
So you help you guys I wanted to make a simple guide. Now I will assume you have done nothing. So let me start from there.
1. Rules
2. Character Profile
3. Bakupacks.
4. Battles.
5. Creating Cards and Bakugan.
If you have any questions then feel free to message the staff of the site and ask any of us high ranked brawlers. If there are things I have missed then let me know so I can add it in.
So you help you guys I wanted to make a simple guide. Now I will assume you have done nothing. So let me start from there.
1. Rules
I know, I know we all hate rules, but we need them. Trust me. This bit is simple. General Rules, Battle Rules which example how you battle and such and other rules. I will go through them one by one.
General Rules.
This is the basic rules any site will give you, be respectful, no spamming or using all caps for some examples. On top of not being a hater or asking about being staff. As much you may hate these they are quite short, read them. We will know if you have not read them.
Battle Rules.
This section is quite a lot but it states what you need to brawl and what you can use in the brawl. If you don't read this section you will not get far in brawling. To make things simple I will explain a little.
To brawl you need the following: An approved Character Profile and a Bakupack. I will guide you through these things later so don't worry about them. On top of this, the brawls are down via text so no pictures or visuals. If you make cards, support weapons or Bakugan during a brawl you cannot use them in those ongoing brawls.
You must also post a response within 3 days or it is a forfeit. Staff can cancel your brawls if needed and DO NOT cheat. Cheating does not help, it only gets you banned. And you can't change your move without letting your opponent know. How you brawl I will explain later if you can't want to read the rules yourself.
Other Rules.
This just has some links to some handy things like an FAQ and the rules for other things not found in the rules board.

2. Character Profile
Once you got the rules done we need to start doing the two things that let us brawl. The first being a Character profile. Now you may hate this part but it is needed and we encourage creativity. This stuff also gives you free cards, Bakugan and shooting skills. I mean, Free Stuff, who DOESN'T want that? But to get it you need to put work in. The character profile asks for the following things. If you are on mobile, you will need to put this in yourself.
Name:
Gender:
Race:
Age:
Sexual Orientation:
Personality:
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Physical Appearance:

Starter Gate Card 2:
Starter Gate Card 3:
Starter Ability Card 1:
Starter Ability Card 2:
Starter Ability Card 3:
Starter Ability Card 4:
Special Shooting Skill #1:
Special Shooting Skill #2:
Some of these have drop-down lists to select from like the cards, skills, attribute, gender, race, sexual orientation. Other things you need to fill out yourself. The traits down to weakness can be small simple lists of 3-5 things each. However, for personality, appearance and the character story, we need 1-2 good sized paragraphs.
Below are examples of what to do and what to no do:
Good: bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/38869/malcom-truman
Good amount for all sections and provides some nice detail.
Bad: bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/38847/fire
hardly any information given, on top of this look at the Bakugan, Apollonir. Apollonir is kinda banned in brawls, Drago is well you know. Don't do this.
If you don't know what Bakugan you can use, then check here: bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/36295/bakugan-legal-illegal
Note: Custom Bakugan cannot be used here.

3. Bakupacks.
Now you most likely have no idea what this is. It is where you keep all your stuff and on top of this list your rewards from battles(with a link to the battle) so you can rank up when it is time and use your stuff in brawls. When you create your Bakupack you will only be able to enter in certain things unless you're on mobile. You enter your Bakugan, cards and skills into this and any future Bakugan and cards you make.
Once that is created you may edit and add in extra posts for other stuff. I highly suggest editing your Bakupack after you make it and present it in a way good for you. For example, I have my gates, normal abilities, specials and fusions all listed separately and all the shop cards (brought not created and this term includes the profile cards) have the effect listed next to the name. I also group cards of the same type depending on their attribute. Shops cards have their names colours on their attribute. For created Bakugan and Card I name them and link it to the thread it was made.
You don't have to do this but it works nicely. Here is what I one looks like for an example:
As you can see it looks quite nice right? Play around with yours. Do what is best for you. While you are editing I suggest adding a section at the bottom or in a new post a battle record. That says the battles each your Bakugan was in(where you use multiple in one battle go with the first used). You would for each battle name the battle, put a link to it within the name, and list the result, your rewarded points then at the very bottom or top list the total amount of points.
When you get the following points you can get these ranks:
Beginner: Starting Rank.
Brawler: 300 needed in total for this rank.
Skilled Brawler: 750 needed in total for this rank.
Pro Brawler: 1,050 needed in total for this rank.
Ultimate Brawler: 2,100 needed in total for this rank.
Master Brawer: 3,150 needed in total for this rank.
Legendary Brawler: 6,750 needed in total for this rank.
Each rank lets you do/have certain things, this thread here lists them: bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/36283/honor-points-information

4. Battles.
For those who want to battle right away here you go. This bit is for you.
Brawls start with someone making the thread. When they do they will set the gate card. Once it is set in the same post they will go: Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!
After that, they will state their Bakugan. At the end of their post they will put something like so:
Me: 500
You: Unknown
This stating of power needs to be at the end of all brawl posts.
The opponent or you will respond by throwing in your own Bakugan and list both player's powers. There can only be one Gate card per round so don't try and use a gate if you did not set it.
When two Bakugan are down players take it in turns to play cards. To do so you go: Ability/Special Ability/Fusion Ability Activate!
Then you will list the card. Under that, you will put the link or if not a created card say shop card and then list the effects. After that, you have to state the new powers and any status either player had like advantage or +100 per turn for example. You only have 4 normals 1 special and 1 fusion per round. Gates must be used with a normal ability or risk losing a normal count.
When no one else can play cards the round ends. The difference in power is dealt as damage to the losing player. Players start at 500 life gauge or once you get to the high enough rank, 1000. When someone's gauge is zero the brawl ends. You will receive honor points(use to rank up) and money(buy better stuff with it).

5. Creating Cards and Bakugan.
If you want to get far you will need to make your own Bakugan and Cards. Bakugan is pretty simple and all must be 500g max unless it is an evolve Bakugan which you have the rank and win links for.
Cards are a bit more difficult. They have classes depending on the effects in them. White are shop cards, blue is very basic like negate a card and gain 200gs. Green is a bit more powerful and is the class for any premium or copyrighted effects like: Gain 100g per turn and Gain Advantage. However, you can only have one Premium effect in a single card so keep that in mind. Red is the most powerful is are things like gaining power by the highest amount of power achieved at any point in the brawl. However, these classes can only be used a certain amount of times per round so keep this in mind when making them.
More information on the card creation can be found in its board.
