The individual snapped its fingers to trigger some flash of starry light. The dimensional boundaries in the area was distorted beyond belief. Tank and Markus knew they were in trouble by the fact that they could feel a buzzing noise in their ears.
It gets worse. Portals began opening in the kitchen that dropped off some interesting beings. Many of them were men and women that they didn't know, but some of them were very familiar.
"...John...and...Katherine...?" Tank gasped. Those two were here, but...they looked...pale...
"Gargulion, explain," Gladion demanded.

"My parents...and Maya...?" Markus confusingly asked when he saw them again. This could only mean that whatever this individual did had something to do with bringing people to life. The only problem with that was...Gargulion doesn't think it's that simple...
"Basically, the boundaries between the living and the dead have been cut," Gargulion recognized. "This means that life and death are practically the same...and bringing people from that realm to this one bears no consequence..."
"So...this guy's abilities with the afterlife exceeds even ours..." Markus painfully admitted. "Even the power of Hades is useless here..."
"Tank, call your people's. Tell them to evacuate the building," Gargulion requested.

"Can you get me the fuck out of here first before they turn me?" Tank requested as he pushed an approaching Katherine off of him.
"They're not even trying to attack us..." Gladion noticed. Maybe that was the point though. What if they were not trying to kill them through violence? What if...this was all a plot to subdue them and force them to become one of them? No one can die right now after all. The person's boundary manipulation abilities says so, which should mean that they should...
"...Run..." Gladion ordered.
Tank, Markus, Gargulion, and Gladion each booked it out of the room and phased through the walls thanks to Gargulion's abilities.

The strange person scoffed at his new subjects running away like that. It was a nuisance, but they would be captured soon enough.
"Once you deny three opportunities...you will be chased until you are no more..." the person declared. A bright galaxy-shaped portal appeared over it's current summons and made them disappear. Masses of energy were left where they once stood.
The energy masses moved towards the villain and entered it's body. The person groaned as if the process was painful, but it didn't last long. The power this person was exhibiting was tremendous given it's size. Thanks to this power increase, there were more tricks it could show. For now, it followed the Resistors. It went straight through the walls as if physical objects meant nothing...

Tank hurried to dial the people he knew were in the immediate vicinity. The first was the coach who was with some other important people in the organization at the very least. They had to be the first to know for obvious reasons.
"Come on... Pick up, pick up, pick up," Tank repeated. The call was answered after three rings.
"Tank! Is Markus here!? Tell that son of a bitch to get Nana Momma out of here! She's trying to eat our faces!" the coach complained.
"It's not Markus!" Tank responded.
"So we're fucked? Is that what you're saying?" the coach quickly followed up.
"Yes!" Tank confirmed. "Get out of there now!"
"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing with that!?" the coach yelled at someone. A gun went off in his surroundings. "Sweet Jesus...that didn't work!? Bullets don't kill these guys!? Fuck, fuck, fuck... Hey, Tank! I'm guessing you're with the boss who's responsible for this, right?"
"Yes, but only Gladion and Gargulion can see it," Tank confirmed.
"How big is it?" Coach wondered.
"Around Tank and Markus' size," Gladion yelled.
"Okay. Here's what's I want you to do..." Coach started.
"I'm listening..." Tank said...right before he heard a bunch of scrambling by multiple people trying to get out of there to save themselves.
"Lure it out to the field," he said. "We'll put up the barriers as if this was an actual event, but - judging by what Noland is able to do this - I'm guessing that's not gonna mean much if you or Markus have to try. I know you guys have been fucking around out there not showing your strength, but it'll have to do for now until Mr. Keene allows all of the teams to make improvements to their equipment."
"I got it," Tank accepted.
"Alright. Good luck with that thing," the coach wished.
Tank ended the call and shook his head in disgust.

"What the hell was that!?" Markus asked. "What happened to the part where they were supposed to leave!?"
"They're still alive for right now, so we might as well get some help," Gladion rationalized. "Besides, it's better that we know they're in the area so we don't have to account for a bunch of idiots scattering all over the place and getting themselves killed. They're smart people. They'll pull through if they stick together."
"That's YOUR team. If something happens to them, it's not on me," Gargulion expressed.
"No shit, Sherlock. Quit being a jackass and get yourself ready to fight," Gladion ordered.
"I've been ready to fight. We would've been doing that if you weren't the one who ran," Gargulion argued.
"We don't have time for this," Markus sternly criticized. "If they trust them, then so be it. Let's just do our jobs here."
"Tsk...alright. See ya'll at the battlefield," Gargulion sighed before turning around and going straight for the villain. Markus followed suit, but not before nodding in Tank's direction.

The villain noticed that Gargulion was coming straight for it, so it stopped in the hall of fame. It found it best to make another move before the Legendary Soldier gets there.
Rather than call on a specific entity, it chose to exercise its boundary manipulation powers over life and death. This time - with a finger snap - it was able to eliminate the boundary over the realm of the living and the dead. This was a very taxing move, so it was noticeably drained from having done this.
What was important to note from this was that with this change, everyone who exists in the living world now coexists with the people in the afterlife. Fortunately for the world as a whole, this only applied to the area around the Washington Legion's area of operations.
This allowed the deceased to come forward without any hindrance. It also allowed the villain to freely coordinate movement everywhere in the surrounding area.
"I call forth...the legendary hero of Earth...the one who sacrificed himself so that you all might survive...the Bakugan Termination System..." the villain prefaced.

"...Oh no..." Gargulion groaned.
"What? What happened?" Markus requested to know.
"Get out of sight..." Gargulion suggested. They both sunk into the ground so they could move around out of the view of others should they get seen.
They moved just under this villainous asshole who has now gotten so bold as to call on the name of a very familiar ally. A portal dropped off the husk of the man they once called a hero... In fact, he still is a hero, but now...no one really knows...
"...Tank...we got a problem... A really big problem..." Markus notified.

The man was none other than Vince...
"..." Vince opened his eyes instantly. He looked himself over to see that his body was just a pale husk of what it was when he was alive. His breathing was like a poor kid with bad allergies. He didn't look surprised or scared though. It was like he knew why he was there...
He held out his right hand and had a bright glow of Switch Code energy gather there. Six Bakugan appeared there and revolved around it. These were assumed to be the former Legendary Soldiers.
"Surrender yourselves now, or his wrath will be unleashed upon this planet!" the villain decreed.

Tank was left speechless by what he just heard. This guy who was around the same size as him and Markus just pushed two Legendary Soldiers into a corner using a skillset that surpassed even Gargulion. How were they going to deal with Vince with ALL of the former Legendary Soldiers being with him?
"Okay. Markus, listen to me, and listen to me good," Tank stressed. "We're immortal now, and so are they. But that guy IS NOT. If we can strip him of his power and return everything to normal, we can beat him."
"If you can, see if you could take control of Vince so we can use him against this guy. If not, don't worry. Just focus on that bastard who did this. If the Soldiers open out of ball form, then you get out of there and come here. If not, just keep them in there and annoy him for a bit. I got something that'll take care of this bullshit."

"Gotcha," Markus accepted. He took a deep breath and observed the area he was looking up at. "Ability activate. Pandemonium."
"Alright," Gargulion complied. While still underneath the Hall of Fame room, Gargulion thrusted his hand upwards to flood the room with a dark green wave of soul power. This energy wave had as much staying power as Maurice's love for Tank's female persona.
Being within the immediate burst allowed Gargulion a long-range method of influencing the souls of his targets. Being within the gaze of this ability also allowed Gargulion to exercise a greater degree of control so he could ultimately turn the target to whatever side he wants them to be on.
He struck Vince head-on, which meant that the former Soldiers were hit as well. The dark stalker was hit as well; however, it was unknown what actually happened to it...

The villain grunted as it was trying it's hardest to retain control of its body. In the process, it became visible to Markus. It was unknown if this was because it was hit or if Gargulion's method of control had anything to do with it.
"You...will...not...!" the individual boldly claimed before it's body burst forth with great power. Judging by how it was standing, it didn't seem like it was going to be swayed to any side other than the side it was already on.
"Vince, get rid of the assassin, NOW!" it rudely ordered.

The villain didn't know or see this, but Vince was apparently disgruntled by the fact that he was resurrected to be bossed around by some asshat who's too afraid to show his/her face. He knew that the person had to have some control over his actions since it wouldn't make much sense for the borders to be broken just because.
So, after cutting his eyes to his right, Vince allowed a Darkus orb to float down to the floor. It opened, but it showed a Bakugan in a robed form. This was Excedra.
"Ability activate! Demon Wizard! Shut him down!" Vince commanded. Excedra held up his staff to execute his signature power-absorption move. What better way to keep Markus and Gargulion in place than to seal them six feet under?

"Dammit!" Gargulion cursed. He and Markus had to do something quick, or they were done for.
"Ability activate! Reflective Soul!" Using his own soul as a medium, Gargulion performed a unique form of echolocation to search for others. Considering he had already targeted and met with the souls of his enemies from the previous ability, this process was relatively quick. Once they were found, all of the suffering Gargulion was going through was reflected onto them.
With that done, it was time to go on the offensive while he is still only contesting Excedra. "Now, ability activate! Mist of the Underworld!" Gargulion released a pestilent toxic cloud in the room. This was the air found in the afterlife, which allows its denizens to breath. It was not meant for the living AT ALL, and - thanks to Markus' newfound rival - they were all living beings, which meant they could be affected by this ability.

The villain was coughing up a storm from being subjected to this mess. It fled elsewhere by phasing through the wall. This left Vince by himself.
Vince was suffering in these extreme conditions as well, but he had added protection from his Switch Code. Still, he made it a point to get out of there as soon as possible. He intentionally burst through the door to the Hall of Fame room so he could escape and allow the mist to spread at the same time. This was done to affect everyone else in the immediate area.
Excedra booked it an opposite direction from Vince. Rather than take a door, he just floated straight into the wall and tore through it. So much for avoiding any structural damage so far.
