Mr. Keene, the chairman of the BBBA - Bakugan Battle Brawlers Association - decided it was in his best interest to appease the press and finally talk to them. He doesn't usually do it since the people can't handle the cold-hard truth being jammed into their faces. There was that, and the people who ask dumb questions are the same ones who can't afford his presence anyway.
Here he was in front of Legion's arena where he was supposed to be right about now. Instead of having a conversation about what they're going to do this upcoming season, he now has to convince a stupid public that Tank and Markus aren't criminals.
"Honestly, if I have to explain to you how wrong this is, you should be banned from ever having an opinion again," Houston started.
"Noland Hardy was personally responsible for murdering hundreds of law enforcement and army officers, and him and Allen Silva attacked the Army itself this past year," a reporter started saying. "Don't you think the people have a right to be skeptical of their threat to civilized society?"
"'Civilized' society? Alright. Here's what I KNOW. That has nothing to do with what happened here, and that's probably the dumbest thing you've ever said," Houston reminded him. "I've been watching your reporting history. You already have it out for the Resistors since your sister got punked by Noland after she was trying to kill his brother for being a Gundalian. There was even a tweet you made calling him and Kendrick gorillas. Let me just tell you something. I'm GLAD it happened, you racist motherfucker."
There was total silence coming from everyone when Houston said that. The reporter got all upset and tried to get in Houston's face, which prompted his guards to come over. Houston didn't need them though. He bitch slapped this fool and looked down on this idiot when he hit the pavement.
"How about you bring someone up here who knows what he or she is talking about, and take your racism elsewhere. In fact, just quit already. This is obviously not for you, and the world will be a much better place with you not saying a damn thing on camera."
"Um, Mr. Keene, I noticed that this crime scene is very peculiar for Tank and Markus to have allegedly murdered one man. What are your thoughts about that?" a female reporter asked him.
"Finally. Someone I can talk to," Houston rejoiced. "Listen, I get it. The Resistors are super strong. If they actually murdered someone - which I know didn't happen here - then you'd be hard-pressed to prove it in court."
"How do you KNOW they didn't?" she interrupted. "...Just for the sake of discussion..." She whispered the last part.
"The crime scene doesn't add up. There's flood damage, and it looks like the barriers were shattered, which led to the Bakugan doing a lot of damage in there. Why would anyone go through that much trouble to kill one man?" Houston posed. "Something happened in there that we're missing. We're still trying to talk with the team's coach and their crew since they were here when it happened, but a few of them are being a little uncooperative. We'll have more information on what's going to happen soon, but as a heads up, you may as well prepare your apology videos now. These men are innocent."

Tank and Markus were placed in a holding cell by themselves. Without Gladion or Gargulion being near them, it wasn't likely that they'll be able to fix their situation. They were sitting across from each other letting time pass them by.
The quietness was eventually going to drive Tank insane, so he tried to get something to talk about that didn't involve their situation.
"So...how's the old house treating ya?" Tank curiously asked.

Markus was getting ready to say something to kill the silence, but Tank's sudden question got him thinking. What could he tell him about the house that isn't edgy or boring? Tank isn't going to care about books, the possible installation of traps, or mini museums in each of his family members' rooms. Tank will just think he's a weirdo who needs to go outside and chill.
Was he thinking too far into that though? Probably not.
"Surprisingly well," Markus started to tell. "I haven't done much to it though. It's still the same as it has always been. I let some of my old teammates you've beaten up in high school crash there some time when they're in town. I think that helped the place feel like it was someone else other than me in there, you know?"
Markus then cut straight to another topic so that they didn't linger on an apparent sad situation. "Nevermind that. What's up with you and Dasia?"

"Nothing's really 'up' with us," Tank replied. It was clear what Markus was trying to ask. The fact that Tank wasn't made uncomfortable with that speaks volumes about the level of communication he and Markus developed.
"She's cool and all, but everyone doesn't think so, especially Steve," Tank recounted. "A couple of days before we got teleported and everything starts going to hell, she came back to tell me something. Mr. Keene was trying to get Vestal in on this league, so Dasia kept coming to me. Of course, we'd hang out, but it felt...dirty."
"Steve was looking at me like I was crazy. He always kept reminding her that she was the one who got Katherine killed. He made it seem like Katherine meant more to him than she did to me, and that I shouldn't be proud of that..."

"I hope I'm not out of line by saying this, but that sounds messed up," Markus thought of the situation. "I think what Steve is going through is normal, so I wouldn't hold it against him. We see things that everyone else shouldn't see. Some losses affect others more severely to the point where they can't see you interact with someone they associate with that loss. We both know that feeling."
"I think it's good that you seem to be alright with Dasia. You see her for who she really is and not the woman being used to assimilate us. You did good. Whatever's going on with Steve shouldn't make you feel differently."

"Yeah...you're right..." Tank conceded. "I guess it's kinda my fault too. I haven't thought about how he might have felt before I brought Dasia around him. I could've done better. I shouldn't have expected for him to feel comfortable right away. Now Dasia wants nothing to do with me..."
Tank casually looked around the cell for a way out of there. Obviously, escape shouldn't be on his mind since he could make his situation worse and it'll definitely lead to Legion cutting him. His facial expression showed a hint of concern, like they were in a good position to get themselves in deeper trouble...
"You ever get that feeling that us getting locked up was someone's lucky chance to make fun of us, or...get us?" Tank pondered. "I'd make a joke at your expense, but...something just doesn't seem right. I feel like we're being setup here. It's almost as if someone could show up at any minute to punk us..."

He was right on the money. Faint sound of footsteps from the other room could be heard and with every passing second it was getting louder and louder. Footsteps stopped and creak of iron notified two Resistors of someone's approach into the corridor where they were being held. There was no sound for a brief moment and the footsteps continued. Person stopped right where their cell was. It did not take a second to realize it was Alex Andersen. Unlike normally, he was wearing uniform of Silver Knights- it looked quite tidy and cozy. Alex's left hand was bandaged- judging by the looks of it he must have gotten hurt recently.
He just stopped there, standing and observing the two. It was quite a lovely sight to behold. It does not happen so often that Resistors are put behind bars. As most of them and their Bakugans act like arrogant hypocrites it is a satisfying thing whenever they get inconvenienced in any way. Injustice and wrongs they commit are alright because they are 'heroes' who save the world from some 'greater evil' and because they have their own ideologies to justify such acts, but what happens if wrongs and injustice happen to them? They complain, they resort to verbal violence and seek no retribution for their sins because, in their heads, they have not committed any sins. People such as president and these judges will lick their feet and get them out of trouble because that is how the system works- as long as these nobodies get what they want they will crawl deep inside Resistors' asses if they have to. That is just... how the system works and it will work again their favor sooner or later once the scheduled ass-kissing comes into play from people supervising this whole thing.

Markus looked towards the door and saw Alex's face through the window. While it was bad that Alex himself was present, the idea of a Silver Knight being here told Markus just how fucked him and Tank were.
"Tank... If we survive this, and we get put in a bad situation, you're not saying a fucking thing," Markus declared, because this jinxing was getting ridiculous.
Markus looked towards the door for a little bit to see if Alex was just going to stand there the whole time, or if - assuming he could - he was gonna invite himself in. Either option was annoying to think about, so Markus just pretended like Alex wasn't there.
"So, about this meeting with Mr. Keene," Markus said to change the topic. "You think he'll not be cheap and get some better barriers for the colosseums? This scene is getting really boring when I don't and can't put in that much effort."

The situation with Tank and Markus warranted Andrew to be called into Montai's office for an urgent meeting. He knew what it was going to be about, so he already had a notepad in hand with the information he currently has.
"Get them out of there," Montai quickly ordered.
"...Okay...?" Andrew wearily accepted. "So you don't want to hear anything?"
"Don't talk to me. Just go before it's too late," Montai ordered again. "I'm not letting this intel on the enemy go to the Silver Knights or anybody!"
Clearly taken aback by this unusually assertive Montai, Andrew nodded and went on his way. He quickly retrieved Hades from his laboratory, and then had it open a dimensional gate. In less than a second after opening the portal, a girl and a robed being appeared in front of Andrew. The electricity they generated from this high-speed movement lingered even though the two were stationary.
"Welcome back," Andrew greeted. "We need you..."

A blur in the sky was the only hint of a presence anything could see from the duo that just appeared. They were constantly moving at speeds unheard of by the common hero or criminal. They were moving so fast that they couldn't find the time to talk about what has happened.
Luckily for them, they could think through it.
"The boys are being held at the Raiden Complex, the reconstructed D.C. Jail," Nero informed them earlier. "The Silver Knights funded most of it, so they formed a partnership with the D.C. Department of Corrections. Now, anyone brought in that meets a certain threshold of power will be dealt with by the Knights themselves. Tank and Markus are clearly going to be prime candidates for the case to be handed to the Knights. They're sovereigns, so they have entirely separate laws from ours. While they would be free by U.S. standards, they might not be with the Knights. We need to get them out of there before the Knights have a chance to put our boys away."
"..." Still opting for silence, the duo zipped around the building to do some preliminary scouting. They then appeared at the Yard's Park, which was some ways away from the facility, but not too far. That's when her identity became a lot clearer. It was Seiki, one who could be considered the "forgotten" Resistor. She had been using her time to train. Aside from getting more comfortable using her powers, she went through some changes to her body and her looks.
"Your equipment is placed where you want them," Seiki plainly informed him. "Should I go in or wait?"
"You know, this really looks like a place we shouldn't be at," Ahio commented while standing around in her classy robes. "Plus, I'm not good with staying out of sight. I still make too much noise when I travel. Drago's gonna have my beak for not getting that right after a year..."
"...Why me instead of Noland?" Seiki curiously asked Nero.

Post by Andrew Bullock on Jul 28, 2019 2:31:12 GMT -5
"Because Noland's power is useless with what we're going to do. Your speed isn't," Andrew answered. "Plus, you have the least amount of interaction with these people, if you have any at all. Due to this, you're going into this with a fresh mind. That's what we need to get Tank and Markus out of this with the least amount of conflict as possible."
Andrew had multiple CIA employees handling the surveillance footage of the current operation back at the base. Andrew himself was driving up in a hooptie. He appeared as an overweight man in his mid 50s. A man with the same physical appearance was relaxing in the CIA base. This means that there had to have been the use of the CIA technology that allows the user to turn into another person if they have a DNA sample. It was just like a couple of years ago, except that it was being used in a morally-sound investigation.
"As far as they know, I'm coming back from lunch," Andrew relayed to Seiki. "I'm going to go inside to see what's going on. Stay within the area, but don't engage. Our keywords are 'pack' and 'insidious.' 'Pack' means to remove Gladion and Gargulion from the area. 'Insidious' means that we're going to take Tank and Markus out ourselves. Is that clear?"

"Hm...okay. Makes sense," Seiki accepted. Although her face didn't show it at the time, she was secretly happy that her abilities were more important than anyone else's in this situation. She didn't want to stroke her ego though. It was only the beginning.
"That's it? I thought we got called here to shove my claws up someone's-" Ahio was saying.
"Language," Seiki reminded her.
"Hmph. Says the one who shouts bad words in another language," Ahio childishly responded.
"But I don't," Seiki innocently assured her feathered annoyance friend. She reached into her handbag to pull out a Ziploc bag full of chicken wingettes that ungrateful humans haven't finished yet.
"Aww. That for me?" Ahio excitedly wondered.
"Maybe, but you'll have to zap me first," Seiki promised.
"Why would I do that? I wouldn't hurt you over some food," the birdbrain confusingly expressed.
"I mean give me some of your electricity so I can transfer it into the food," Seiki clarified, but with a facepalm.
"Oh...right..." Ahio did just as Seiki wanted. Now, Seiki imbued the food with Ahio's power so that the servants lovely animals would flock on by and be blessed with her speed. The animals in question were rats. RATS.
Seiki fed the rodents gracefully. They ended up becoming fast themselves and scurried all the way to the Raiden Complex. They were easily able to get inside of the walls by breaking through it. These walls were heavily reinforced so that Bakugan can't get in to break S-rank criminals out of there, but - with Seiki's newfound power - it didn't matter.
The rats themselves lost their speed when they got inside, but it was more than enough to put a devilish smile on their faces. They smelled food coming from the kitchen, and they were hungry for more.

Disguised as the overweight man that worked at the Complex, Andrew waltzed inside to meet and greet the correctional officers at the front desk. ( Raiden Complex) Andrew was spotted by the CO at the front. He gave the lady his ID so that she could tailor the security checkpoint to him. Since this housed the worst of the worst, security measures were in place that were tailored to your position. If you were a civilian, the ordinary checking that every jail does would be in place. In the case of a case manager like the man Andrew was posing as, he was allowed to have a brawling device on him. In this way, he was able to get through without being detected. While Andrew was walking through the checkpoint, he was listening to the conversation the CO was having with a fellow co-worker. Both were women. "What are we going to do about the officers? Many of them aren't happy about those two getting put in here..." "I don't blame them. It doesn't help that a Silver Knight seems to be antagonizing one of them..." "That's the kind of behavior that makes me hate the day the higher-ups ever partnered with these guys. I get that this makes us look better, but the majority of them are so distasteful. The military orgs are way more respectful than them." "Can't even say hi to people. They walk in and want you out of their way or they'll just walk right through you. No hometraining whatsoever." "Shoot. And people want to try and make the Resistors look bad. Those people have no idea." Andrew walked deeper into the facility after passing through the main checkpoint. He immediately went to his right, took about 15 steps, and then made another right. This room was where Tank and Markus' holding cell was. Alex was standing right in front of it. It took everything Andrew had to not blow his cover and jump on the Silver Knight where he stood, but he had to maintain his disguise. Since the man he's impersonating is a case manager, Andrew shouldn't be in contact with Tank or Markus until they're fully processed. "Yo, Mr. Battle, come here a second," an officer called out to Andrew. The officer was a man at the main desk in that room they were in. Andrew walked up to him to see what this was all about. He was taken into an empty holding cell so that no one could hear what they were saying. "How's this whole thing shaping up, officer?" Andrew asked him. "It's that Silver Knight, man," the officer complained. "That guy has been here for a while just watching them. It's getting creepy. I'm about ready to ask him to leave, but I was told by the boss lady that the Silver Knights were thinking about taking over." "Is that a confirmation or are we thinking they will?" Andrew wondered. "I dunno. She never tells us for sure, but since they're here, there's no way in hell that they aren't going to take them. They pretty much wasted that whole Colosseum trying to kill one guy. Those Knights know something happened there. They'll be all over them." "There goes my chances for getting promoted over Mrs. Ballard then. Tank and Markus being on my list and then getting through reentry? I might never get another opportunity like this...""Don't sweat it. I heard we're about to get our hands on some dirtbags from the Underground. They may not have the name recognition as our boys in the cell right now, but their crimes are much worse in comparison...not like there's really a comparison at all right now." "Ya'll feeling okay?""It's hard, man. Like, I get it. We had to take them in since it didn't really look good to the average joe, but the average joe don't know anything about this. See, the one thing that I learned back in training was that everyone that we watch in here aren't always evil. Sometimes, we just have to take a look at the situation from their perspective. I guess that's too much to ask the larger population. The people who know that something deeper happened at that Colosseum? We're all the minority. I don't know if the Silver Knights think they committed a crime or if they're just trying to probe them for information, but I don't like the way this asshat in front of the cell is looking at them. In fact, none of us like it." "Except the person in charge?""I'm afraid so. That's why I requested for you and Mrs. Ballard not to conduct the tour with the community relationships you were supposed to do today. We're all on edge, and we're about to have a problem with the Silver Knights from what it looks like." "I understand. Has this Knight told you what he's here for?""If they're admitted into the facility, the Silver Knights usually don't have to say anything to us. The ones at the front are the gatekeepers that know why he's here." "That shouldn't stop you from sending this one on his way if he's making you uncomfortable. It shouldn't have to involve any personal malice or anything involving this situation. There's nothing preventing you from doing your job. He's in your house. You can kick him out if you please.""I know that, but... I'm gonna get in trouble, man. I don't know what to do. These Knights are ruthless." "And if you share that with your boss? What happens?""I'd be too soft, not fit for this job. I'll be on my way looking for something else while I'm waiting to here back from the CIA." "Just do your job then. Don't sweat the bigger picture here. You know your mom wouldn't want you trying to throw your reputation away. I know it's hard, but...just hang on.""I'll try... Thanks for always talking to me..." "You're always welcome. Now, I have some things I need to deal with at my desk, so I'm gonna head back. Let me know if anything changes so I can get a head start on their paperwork.""You got it."

"Wow... She actually did that to you? That's crazy..." Markus sighed about what he was hearing during his and Tank's conversation. "No wonder why you gave up with her... If I was in that position, I'd have given up on relationships entirely. You're a lot better than I am. That's for sure. Relationship-wise, not brawling wise. Just so we're clear."
The same officer that was just talking to Nero - Mr. Battle in this case - approached the cell they were in. Judging from the conversation he was just having with Nero, he was not happy about Alex being there at all. Still, he was going to be respectful in his approach.
"Sir, we're really not supposed to be letting people stand around in here if there isn't anything being done. You have a minute to do something, or you'll be asked to leave," the officer stated to Alex.
"Thanks, officer," Markus thanked.

Alex turned towards the officer giving him a dark and stern look. He remained silent for about few seconds looking officer up and down from head to toe. It was even creepier than Alex just staring at the two Resistors, but then he spoke up. "My, how insensitive of me. I must have been lost in thought again. I apologize if I... inconvenienced you, officer." He said it in a rather polite... maybe too polite of a way. It was not how Alex would normally talk and behave- all that politeness did not suit him well as a person, but he was not going to make a scene over nothing.
"These two will be taken into Silver Knights' custody- Admiral's orders. Not that I know why she would want this, but I guess cells over there are cozier than these so maybe she is just being nice." Alex explained his reasoning behind coming over there. Since Admiral Maria was gone back to her home planet it was only Ms.Izumo who could request such thing- there were no replacement Admirals. Alex could only assume these two would receive some different sort of treatment than one in this prison. He could not care less- knowing the government and how much they love to suck on Resistors' you-know-what these two will be out in no time anyways so it is probably just a waste of time. Still, orders are orders.
"I would kindly ask if you could open up the cells and..." He said to the officer and then turned away. "... if two gentlemen could be nice to follow me."
