"Status, Dharak?" Rashad requested as he was clashing with Lyles.
"It hurts staying still, and it hurts even more if I try to move them," Dharak complained.
"Stay put," Rashad ordered.
"Of course," Dharak sarcastically responded. Not like he was able to go anywhere else...
"Power up." Rashad entered Switch Code himself. He quickly zapped the wall that Lyles was hung on, but struck the bottom of it. In this way, it would collapse while he's on it, which would force Lyles to jump off or fall down to the ground. "Ability activate. All Consuming."
Dharak himself entered Switch Code to use this ability. He held a Dextra orb of energy in his mouth. Without him doing anything else, Lyles and the crumbling wall were violently pulled toward him. Rashad then began pushing Lyles.

"Ultimate Warrior Gene, eh?" Lyles recognized. "You resorted to that so early? Over a mere Gundalian like myself?" As a reward for the Emperor doing this, Lyles decided to subject both the Emperor and Dharak to a bright red wave of energy that covered the entire cathedral. "I wanted to be nice a little, thinking you were going to get the hint, turn tail, and go on back to your little hole in the castle. Both the Dragonoid and Dharak holders were never smart enough to do that."
It took a bit of grit, but Rashad and Dharak were able to stand against Lyles' power without crumbling from the weight of it. From the looks on their faces, it was something to behold, but nothing worth worshiping someone over. The Switch Code's inherent properties made sure of that.
"I gave you the same courtesy," Rashad countered. "Besides, why would we run when my Switch Code allows us to fight forever?"
"Didn't get enough intel?" Dharak wondered before standing up like he was never harmed before. Even though he was being subjected to what Lyles was doing to him, it didn't stop him from moving nor did it interrupt his ability... "Try this out."
Dharak did Lyles an even bigger favor by shooting the orb towards him as it was still exercising its central purpose: attraction. This made Lyles make contact with the orb, but it didn't damage him...yet. He was violently trapped inside of it.
"Ability activate. Westwall Blazer." Dharak was fully intent on wiping out Lyles with this ability. He was able to charge a powerful blast in what seemed like an instant. A Dextra blast much wider than Dharak's own body was launched in the space Lyles was in.

Lyles didn't show a sign of panic when he was this close to getting obliterated. He decided to give Dharak a taste of his own medicine since he was trying to kill him. As he was inside of the attraction sphere, he was being crushed from every direction possible. This serves as the perfect medium for his next trick: materializing a giant, red arm in front of him that blocked the incoming attack with its palm.
This was the culmination of all of the pain Lyles was feeling from inside of the sphere, and it was growing bigger every nanosecond. Eventually, it came to a point where it had enough, and it violently burst. The resulting explosion produced a gigantic mushroom cloud, and multiple buildings were blown apart. Even the castle took significant damage...
In the midst of the confusion, Lyles decided to evacuate the area before the Emperor could figure out what just happened. "Don't take that too hard, Emperor. Nothing personal," Lyles insisted before getting the hell out of there.
Rashad was blown on his back from the explosion. He was almost knocked unconscious, which is more than likely because of being empowered at the time. Dharak had shielded him from the building's collapse and carried him away from the structure to avoid any unnecessary damage from Lyles if he tried anything else.
"Rashad!" Dharak roared. It was unlike him to refer to him by first name, but this was a really bad emergency...
"I'm fine!" Rashad quickly answered. He quickly looked around and saw the devastation that took place. He was beyond furious. "Where is he!?" he shouted, his voice sounding devilish.
It was difficult for Tonya to avoid the stunning effects from the explosion, but she did her best. Fortunately, she had a thermal scope attached to her sniper rifle, so she was able to look through all of the chaos.
"I'm looking...!" Tonya acknowledged. She scanned all over to find out where Lyles was. Her thermal sight was ignoring everyone else aside from anyone who possessed Lyles' energy signature. This was because it was linked to her gauntlet, and it was modified to be able to perform this function. She found Lyles on a far building to the east looking in the direction of the Emperor and Dharak. It looked like he was preparing to attack.
Tonya took a shot and intentionally aimed for the head. The bullet hit its mark and dropped Lyles right where he was.
"Target down!" Tonya called out. "He's east of where you are. Courthouse."
"Thank you," Rashad thanked. "Dharak, what are you thinking this looks like? Pain manipulation?"
"I'm sure of it," Dharak agreed. "It would've taken longer to heal if my bones were broken. I think he just induced that pain level to trick my mind to think that my arms and legs were broken. The crushing effect he felt from being in the center of the orb must've been the cause of the explosion."
"Dammit...! We had him!" Rashad angrily regretted. "Kianna, be advised. Our target manipulates pain, and he was sniped in the head. Approach him with caution. He can't be allowed to blow up anymore buildings. We have a lot of casualties here..."
Kianna was transported to the courthouse by Contestir. They were cautiously looking around to identify where Lyles was located. They found him in the front of the building. He was still lying face-down on the ground, but...he had a giant orb of energy flowing out of his head.

"You make any attempt to neutralize my powers, and I'll waste this entire city," Lyles threatened Kianna. "You just be a nice lady and talk to me for a second."
Lyles returned to his feet. The orb in question fell down on the ground, but instead of detonating, it bounced. "...Wow..." Lyles remarked upon getting a good look at her. "You know what? You look like someone who's about to get herself in trouble. Why? Because I can tell that you're associating me with someone by the name of Gallagher, and you want me to die for it." By saying this, he was indirectly telling Kianna that he can also manipulate emotional pain as well.
"I'll let you in on a little secret," Lyles offered. In exchange, he was siphoning the pain from Kianna and used it to empower himself. He was looking to take another go at the Emperor soon. "He was my protege. I sent him here thinking he was going to hold down the fort until I was unsealed. I thought wrong. It wasn't a complete waste though. The famous Twelve Orders is only down to three members now from what I gather. That wasn't a complete waste, don't you think?"
As Lyles was there mouthing off, Rashad was hanging back to not trigger him to do anything. Actually, he was still at the scene of his failure. He could do what he needed to do from there though. For this, Dharak's scales turned black, showing that he entered the Hex Code.
"Ability activate. Dianos Memoria Cross." Dharak's Hex Code centered around illusions, and this forbidden ability would show just a sliver of what he can do. With this, he can 'convince' the target that they do not remember something. He could even outright cause the target to forget a lot of what they know if the illusion is good enough, but that wouldn't do them any good. They need Lyles to remember what he's doing if they want to avoid anymore casualties.
So, he was able to get a lock on Lyles' energy signature. Dharak's energy seized Lyles as he was talking. He forced Lyles to forget that he knows about Kianna's skillset. This was what they needed to respond.
"Kianna, shut him down now," Rashad told her to do with his Hex-influenced voice.
Kianna knew what Rashad had done by just hearing his voice like that. With that, Kianna gave Contestir a bump on his foot.
"Zona Ray," Contestir activated. He scanned Lyles briefly so that he could get a read on how Lyles was doing what he was doing. He received this intel via anti-energy, so now, rather than recreate his power in his own way, he was going to do the opposite of what Lyles was doing instead.
With his shoulder cannons, Contestir shined bright lights over the payload and Lyles and made it so that the energies would be canceled about instead. In this way, Contestir directly neutralized Lyles' power to turn pain into a weapon.

"..." Lyles was greatly confused when he saw his energy orb shrinking until it was no more. He also felt his control over pain going away too... "Hold on... How did you just do that...?"
He was in a state of panic now. With his main power counteracted by the flooding of anti-energy particles in his system thanks to Contestir, there was no way he'd be able to do what he did again. "...Someone played with my memory here... There's no way that this is happening... How in the world do I know about the Emperor and Killian, but I don't know about you...?"
Rashad wasn't going to say anything about that. He and Dharak closed in on him immediately. He struck Lyles in his spine with an electrified fist. The electricity got transferred to practically every place on Lyles' body. The terrorist would find that his bodily functions just got knocked out of him like it was nothing.
"Put him out of his misery," Rashad ordered. And by that, there would be no room for Lyles to feel anything. He was going to obliterate Lyles before he ever got the chance to hurt anyone again.

Lyles was coughing up blood from the ordeal. This was certainly a bad place to be in, but...that would only be if it was going to be him that got destroyed. "A word of advice, Emperor," Lyles was going to advise him. "Our power transcends the limitations of the body..."
With that being said, Lyles gave up possession of the body he was currently using. It returned to the original owner, someone the Emperor would recognize very well...
Rashad became wide-eyed when he saw who it really was. Unfortunately, Dharak was too focused on finishing this guy off that he never bothered to stop and look. So, with a quick pressure wave unleashed from his mouth, the person was crushed underneath his power. That was it...
"..." Rashad looked at the corpse in horror of what he had done. "Dharak..."
"...Aw shit..." Dharak sighed.
"...Floria's older brother...Dominick..." Rashad regrettably identified. "...One of our best minds when it came to policing...and I killed him..."
