"...Oh..." Tracy was very shocked to hear a challenge declaration come to her. "I thought for sure I was safe from challenges... I'm known as the healer after all..." Says the current NCAA D1 champion.
"Alright then. This should be fun. Let's do it," Tracy accepted. "But...where will we go? We can't fight seriously here..." Without saying anything, Ahio flew all of them to the same island where Noland fought Maverick Alana. Tracy was noticeably startled by the sudden trip. She was very unfamiliar with this kind of high-speed travel.
"Can you please not do that?" Tracy requested. It took a while for her to get a sense for where she was. Once she did, she opened her right hand. A bright light shone from her palm. It remained until a Haos Bakugan materialized from within it. "You're the challenger, so any particular rules?"

"...Ahio, manners..." Seiki reprimanded.
"Sorry...I kinda did that without even thinking about it... This adrenaline from messing with criminals is starting to bring me out of my character... I need to do better," Ahio lamented. "Won't happen again. Promise."
Seiki messed with her BrawlX to activate a feature that'll record the battle. Specifically, it scanned everyone in the area so the software could build a simulation based on acquired battle data.
"Anything goes, aside from killing of course," Seiki answered. "I'd like to keep going until one of us can't battle, if that's okay with you."

"Alrighty," Tracy accepted. "That sound good to you, Sky?" "...You finally ask me that after we're already here?" Skystar replied. "Mhm," Tracy hummed knowing she was in trouble for disturbing her peace. "...Well, this could be a grand opportunity to apply our new abilities, so I'll let it slide this one time. I expect a warning in advance for challenges, unless it's a literal fight to the death." "Understood. Ability activate! Arcane Focus!" This is a pre-battle ability that allows the user to remain in ball form on the field. While being surrounded by a very resilient force field, the user will increase their health and mana pool beyond their base capacities. It's roughly a 5% increase every five seconds. Not too bad, but not too good either. Skystar hovered onto the what will be their battlefield. She awaited a response, but she wasn't going to rush one. ( NCAA Champion Theme)

Seiki had no idea what Tracy used, but she didn't plan to have it active for too long. She gripped Ahio's ball form, reeled back, and launched Ahio. Ahio, after giving Seiki's throw a 'little sense of urgency', flew like a speeding bullet towards Skystar's force field. The thundering sound of the resulting impact reverberated throughout the island. Birds fled the area. Animals screeched. The trees shook and continued to do so even after the attack was made. It's as if the trees themselves were worried of the upcoming battle.
Ahio recoiled off of the force field and opened into monster form. She quickly realized that Skystar's force field was taken down. Seiki saw this as an opportunity to attack.
"Lightning Scale!" Seiki played. Ahio channeled the kinetic energy she gathered from the trips to Markus' house and to where they were now into lightning. They coursed through Ahio's scales enough to cover her figure. The intensity of the lightning released sparks at continuous intervals. Ahio was hoping Skystar would feel just how intense it is once she collides with the sorceress.

"As expected," Tracy quietly said to herself. Based on this reaction, she may have activated that ability for another reason. It was possible she didn't want Skystar to encounter a speedster without prior protection. Given how gungho Ahio is with that speedster mindset, it was a good thing Tracy prepared.
Still in ball form, Skystar shone brightly while moving around just a bit. This light was very blinding. As Ahio was not Drago or Gladion, she could not operate efficiently without her sight, so the accuracy of her charge was significantly affected. Fortunately - and as planned - Ahio's vision was obscured to the point where Skystar was able to avoid being blitzed in her most vulnerable state. She continued to gather energy via Arcane Focus while Ahio was flying around in a reckless fashion.

"Woah woah woah woah woah!" Ahio panicked as her flight path was 'redirected' so suddenly. She stopped traveling at high speeds to regain her composure. She didn't want to run into anything, not until she could see properly anyway.
"...I didn't even think that would be a weakness up until now... Why didn't I...?" Seiki questioned herself out loud. "Ability activate! Aerostorm!"
Ahio decided to use this ability in a different fashion. Rather than generating the twisters and leaving Skystar with multiple options to react, Ahio decided to have the twisters go in a horizontal line. Multiple green orbs left Ahio's body and transformed into twisters that have yet to be measured by humans. With Skystar's small size in her ball form, this should be a breeze.

Tracy was slightly disturbed by this showing of force. She was nearly swept off of her feet. Realistically, she should be long gone, but for some odd reason that doesn't involve 'lack of attention to detail', she stayed on the ground. Then again, a Haos aura covered her body around that time, so Skystar's intervention may have ultimately been the reason.
"Ability activate! Aether: Force!" Tracy signaled. Skystar went into monster form, which canceled the Arcane Focus. She received her bonus from doing so, which was around less than ten seconds. A flashing, white orb of Haos energy was released from the tip of her bident. It's power stopped the massive twister in its tracks. It didn't outright cancel the ability though. It didn't happen yet anyway.
The spell is designed as a pacifistic defense. It will not inflict any damage if someone is hit - unless they're that much weaker than Skystar - but it will repel them across a great distance. The best parts about that are that Skystar can decide when the orb will implode to repel everything, or the repelling could happen if it is touched by an enemy in any way. Skystar intentionally stayed close to it just in case Ahio manages to hit her with something.
Now having control over the fight, Tracy decided to give Sky the best chance to defend herself from the harshest of Ahio's attacks. "Ability activate! Seraph Spirit!" she played. Spiritual energy left Skystar's body and took the form of a chibi-like Skystar. The being transformed into an Ahio, which then surged into Sky's body. This granted her similar characteristics to the Bakugan it mimicked. Sky now had speedster physiology; however, it wasn't as potent as Ahio's, but it was close enough to reliably see fast attacks coming. Her casting speed will see a huge improvement as well.

"Hey...! Was that me!?" Ahio noticed. "Fiddlesticks! That was like the only advantage I had!"
"...So this is how good you guys are, huh?" Seiki realized a bit more. She knew she didn't have control of the fight, but she had an idea on how to steal it back from Tracy. The only way to do that right now is to slow it down...
"Air Battle Extremis!" A twist on a vintage Ventus ability, Air Battle, Extremis takes it into overdrive. Ahio flew high up into the sky where she could not be seen. Violent winds were generated in the space between where she was and the ground. Only Oberus or any beings who could withstand such wind pressure could hope to reach her. That's assuming they take the ordinary way by going straight through the wind anyway.
"I mean...I'm very vulnerable to getting struck by lightning... This is a Haos Bakugan we're talking about... It could happen..." Ahio dreaded. "Ah well. Might as well enjoy this while I can."
Fortunately, anyone on the ground would suffer from an endless supply of wind blades cutting through anything at about the same speed as Ahio's speed. In theory, this should give Ahio the perfect opportunity to bombard Skystar from above, but for now, she found that this was enough.

Skystar was being butchered by these blades of wind. She was stunned in place, unable to move too much thanks to the nonstop and instantaneous attacks. It made it hard to focus on executing moves, which hints at the ability preventing the use of abilities. If something wasn't done very soon, then it'll be all over. It didn't help that the orb she was planning to save ended up bursting, and Ahio was way out of range to be affected.
"Nice move. I like it," Tracy commended before activating: "Ability activate! Angel's Guidance!" Skystar quickly sprouted angelic wings, which burst into a bright light. Now, the incoming damage would be converted into health regeneration instead.
Skystar rose up quickly after being reinvigorated. She had to figure out a way to target Ahio before something worse happens. "I think this'll be a good time to test this one," Sky suggested. She activated an ability herself without Tracy's approval. When Tracy looked at her BrawlX, she saw what was being used:
"Elemental Catalyst...interesting..." Tracy saw Skystar unleash a new, non-attributed attack. A clear light left Skystar's body that flashed over the landscape. In an instant, the wind in the area served as the perfect element for Pyrus energy to scorch the entire area. Simply breathing the air in would burn someone from the inside. Ahio only has herself to blame, because she supplied the wind that makes this possible.

Ahio was overcooked by this ability. She looked burnt and limp when she was plummeting downward. She landed in the ocean. The giant splash she made was big enough to even spill over Seiki's head. She faceplanted on the ground and was completely drenched. The impact knocked her out for a brief moment.

"Oh man..." Tracy worried. She was concerned just by the look of what happened. Scientifically, wind and fire is a disastrous combo. Considering that the wind that made Skystar's flames worse was generated by a Legendary Soldier, the result was worse than projected. It wouldn't be a big surprise if Ahio actually died from that.
"Checking..." Skystar announced. She looked at Ahio for a brief moment to see whether or not she could continue. "Angel's Embrace," she casted. Six rings of light traveled from the top of everyone's bodies. As they traveled down, they returned to the states they were in prior to the battle. This is an emergency-only ability that will save an entire party, but it can't be used to revive dead entities. That's good news at least. Ahio was still alive, albeit hanging by a thread.
"I will take responsibility for that. I imagine you had something more tame in mind," Skystar recognized.
"She lived. It's fine for now," Tracy forgave. "But yeah, we should probably be in a testing environment before we use a spell like that again." Tracy walked over to Seiki. She knelt down to speak to her. "Hey...I think we should call it off here," she expressed. It sounded like she was really saying, 'We're done. No more.'

Seiki picked herself up rather quickly. She looked a little disappointed, but that was to be expected. Ahio vibrated continuously to make sure she wasn't soaked anymore, and then flew over to see what everyone was talking about. She was hoping they weren't talking about what just happened to her. That was rather embarrassing...
"I'm sorry..." Ahio apologized.
"No, you don't have to be. You did your best," Seiki insisted. "We just have more things to learn is all."
"I know, but...outside of my very last ability, I didn't hit Skystar once...and I got one-shotted..."

"I know that's disappointing to you, but it'll be very valuable to you going forward. You did want to see how far you've come," Skystar started. "This reminds me of when I first started getting stronger back when Gladion and Drago went at it. There's skill in battle that just comes naturally as you fight stronger opponents. It's not that you don't have enough skill or none at all. In fact, all of us mortal beings will never have this perfected. I remember Gladion putting it like this: 'It's all about who can make the best decisions in the worst situations.' It makes sense when you think about it. After all, the difference between you or I winning or losing was based off of a few decisions from both sides, not because of any differences in power or ability. Being where we are power-wise, all it takes is one decision. Just one."
"And that's just how we need to look at this. You're more than capable of holding your own. I couldn't be more proud of how far you've come," Tracy sincerely believed. "Getting battle-tested is a brutal process, but it'll work if you trust the process. You'll adjust quickly. You've made it this far this fast. You can do anything."

"That makes sense," Seiki received. "I guess I was expecting to do much better, but that's alright. I can see why Nero asked me to do this." It was a wake-up call if anything. Her past battles haven't been all that difficult. Battling Tracy showed her how jarring it was to go from battling low-level opponents to literal gods. No wonder why Noland, Allen, and Alana wouldn't fight the high schoolers. It might mess them up for when the real competition comes.
"I can't believe Oberus never gave me a heads-up on how difficult this process was gonna be. I could've gotten myself more prepared for being cooked to f-" Ahio was cut off by the plucking of one of her feathers. Seiki apparently thought she said enough for one day.
"We'll be fine. We'll worry about that when we show Nero the footage," Seiki insisted. "Good job today. Really. You did good."
"Awww. Okay. If you say so," Ahio finally accepted.

Post by Father Lyles on Mar 22, 2020 18:30:05 GMT -5
Around 3 in the morning the very next day...
Father Lyles was supposed to meet with Father Tinsley to discuss the developments of their respective planets. Currently, Earth and Gundalia were proving to be the most important planets in the universe, so it was crucial that they were both on the same page. Both men met each other at an abandoned church in the 'reverse Earth' as some might find easier to grasp. Lyles found Tinsley laid out on the pulpit in a sleeping bag.
"Father," Lyles called out.
