Allen checked his messages to see what Alana and Jenna were up to. He expected to get in trouble with at least one of them. They're probably going to think that Allen ignored them this entire time.
"Nothing's open...and Alana seems to want to really talk about something...and Jenna wants casual conversation," Allen summed up. "Nothing unusual here. I should probably take care of Alana before she raids my house over worrying about me."
Good decision. He contacted her on FaceTime. He got an answer almost instantly. It was like she was waiting for him to call her.

"He never told me anything either," Allen shrugged. "Not to bring up a sore subject, but this reminds me of the Karen situation. He never talked to me about it. He's sure not saying anything now. If I know him well - which I do - he will never talk about it unless you press him to for whatever reason. It kinda seems like he's pretending that it didn't happen. I'm starting to wonder what's going through his head myself."
"Drago stays out of those conversations too. I'd tell you if I knew anything," Gorem added in just to protect himself.
"I don't want to be the one to get him talking about it, because - and this is just my personal opinion - I wouldn't want anyone pressuring me to talk about that if it was me. Is there something you're worried about that makes it a special circumstance? Crush? Ex-couple violence? Vengeful ex-girlfriend coming after you?"

"I certainly hope the last two things you said aren't happening..." Alana wished. "About the crush... It's kinda about that, but then it's really not..."
"How does that make sense?" Hydranoid questioned.
"I...really don't know how to explain this without creeping you out, so I'll just ask. Do you think Noland and I are a thing? You can be honest if you want to. I won't reach through this phone and hurt you if you say yes like most people."
Post by Allen Silva on Apr 29, 2020 5:39:43 GMT -5
"...I'm now wondering how honest I can be without getting beaten up..." Allen expressed. Just by the way he said that, one can tell what he really thinks about it.
"You two have a...relationship... I really don't know what to call it beyond that. It's like you're friends with benefits...but don't do anything that friends with benefits do... Unless you both really do those things, which - if you are and did do it while he was with Petra - I'll be the one reaching through the phone."
"With that being said...I don't think you should really care about what anyone else thinks of this 'relationship'. If you like each other, cool. If not, that's cool too. It's all about what you both think."
"Question. What if pops says that they aren't seeing what their relationship actually is because they don't want to see it?" Hydranoid interrupted. Alana became really flustered when he asked that without permission. It was sorta embarrassing...
"...Wait a second... Alana, why are you asking for my opinion here?"
Post by Alana Cortese on Apr 29, 2020 6:02:49 GMT -5
"..." Alana was kinda speechless here. She didn't know how to respond now that the topic progressed to this point. This was dangerous territory for her.
"...Hydranoid...why are you doing this?" she asked.
"You have to answer some questions that no one else is gonna ask you," Hydranoid believed.
"...Huh..." Alana cleared her throat three times before answering Allen's question. "...Something Dad said is true... We're not really bothered if we see each other when we're...less than fully clothed... We're together a lot too... We even act like a couple according to a lot of you... I'm just...confused on what to think about it."
Post by Allen Silva on Apr 29, 2020 6:25:04 GMT -5
"...This says a lot about what you really think about him. If you truly didn't see him as more than a friend or wasn't thinking about it a tiny bit, you wouldn't be paying any attention to what your dad said. You're pretty honest with what you're thinking about a lot of the time, so this reaction is very telling," Allen realized.
"...I've been noticing. Ever since that time Noland saved you from the Maverick virus, you both have gotten a lot closer. I think you're closer now than you were when we were hot off of putting Daniel and crew behind bars. Just think back to how Noland reacted when he thought you got hit by a rocket. I haven't seen Noland that mad since Kendrick got shot. The encounter with the Angels was pretty bad too, but this one was next level. There's a very tight bond here. Not sure if it's really as deep as what we're making it sound like, but there's definitely something here when everything gets added up. That, or you're both the greatest pretenders ever."

"...You know, however I feel about Noland, I wanted him to be the happiest that he could be," Alana admitted. "I feel like...whenever he's sad, depressed, or is angry enough to kill someone...I'm feeling the same way... Hm..."
"I see..." Hydranoid started to understand, but kept to himself.
"...Is this what Petra was seeing all this time? Did I really do this...?"
Post by Allen Silva on Apr 29, 2020 6:52:44 GMT -5
"Petra's unit caused their relationship to fail, not you," Allen asserted. "By being on Noland's case all the time, the Angels pushed him towards you. He felt like he could come to you to talk about those things. Petra wanted to be that person, so when she realized he was going to you, that's when they started having problems. The allegations of wanting to spend more time with you than her made it easier for Noland to look the other way; that's on top of the fact that she is an Angel herself. That's how I saw it anyway."
"But, is what Petra saw true now? That's what you have to find out for yourself. Even though I and others have said what we said, only you can communicate what your true feelings are. That's for the both of you."
Post by Alana Cortese on May 1, 2020 2:44:28 GMT -5
"I mean...I can't have those feelings. You know that..." Alana reminded Allen as if he knew the reason. "...Anyway, I'm more worried about Noland holding onto something unnecessarily and if we could help him during this time. That's all."
"...Hmph..." Hydranoid groaned in his head. He looked unsatisfied. Maybe he wanted her to admit she feels that why? If so, why? Or, maybe he wants her to not hold onto something unnecessarily like she's saying.
"So...to thank you for your valuable insight, let's change the subject to something you'd love to talk about. How's it going with Jenna? Noland told me everything, so I'm curious."
"...So what you're telling me is to never tell him anything again... Got it..." Allen sighed.
"Guess now you have to take your own advice," Gorem laughed off. His laugh trailed off once Allen's glare of disapproval came his way.
"...Alright. I'll take the bait. Markus let me know what really happened to her when she got kidnapped. She's in really bad shape. She was kinda like you were back then when you were asking for help on how to brawl. I do anything that shows any interest, I'll be back to being a lone giant..."
Post by Alana Cortese on May 1, 2020 3:30:18 GMT -5
"Awww. Don't say it like that," Alana insisted. "You do have your work cut out for you though. I know it'll be hard for you to be patient since you're a guy. I'm joking...maybe. But seriously, she's not gonna trust easily, so you're already in a good place by being her friend. Maybe we can help you out if she comes around us?"
"Seriously? Isn't that the person with that Ares-looking motherfucker? No thank you," Hydranoid opted out.
"Even if it's for Allen?"
"You're on your own, jack."
"Well, I will be her friend then. I'm over the brawl. She doesn't seem like a bad person, so I'll give her a chance. When are you seeing her again? Maybe I can tag along?"
"We'll remember that when you need our help, Hydranoid," Gorem kept note of.
"Not exactly sure when I'm seeing her again, but if you could come along, that'd really help. She'll really like having another friendly face around," Allen knew. "She'll probably be looking to practice with the competition at the Complex. Hopefully, we don't get the boot like the others did years ago. After the fight in the bleachers, the staff are looking for every opportunity."
"That place is nothing but trouble. I'm surprised any of you are still going over there," Gorem expressed.
"I should probably call her soon anyway. I don't want her thinking I'm ignoring her. If you need to air out anything else, let me know. I mean that, alright?"

"Alrighty. Good luck," Alana wished before the call ended. Once it did, Hydranoid had some questions...
"What did you mean when you said you 'can't have those feelings'?" he asked.
"I didn't give you enough of what I was thinking?" Alana snarkily responded.
"Woah...what's with the attitude?"
"If I needed your commentary, I'd ask for it. I don't need you constantly pushing me to talk about things I'm not comfortable enough to talk about.
"Fine. That's fair, but there was no reason to hold onto it the way you were doing. These are some serious things that you need to be considering. You don't even know how you feel about the guy. If you don't know, how's this whole 'friendship' supposed to be working out here? If you feel some type of way, you need to acknowledge it; otherwise, this whole dynamic is going to keep getting more awkward."
"What if I wanted it to be this way? Have you ever considered that? Why do you think I chose to reject all those guys that tried to get with me? Because I just ignore my own feelings? Maybe I like things being normal without having to deal with messes like Noland and Petra's relationship?"
"I'm not saying you have to hook up with him."
"Then what ARE you saying?"
"Don't ignore what you're feeling just because it's convenient for you right now."
"...You know what..."
"Tell you what. What you said about wanting what's going on now to remain...if that's how you feel without a shadow of a doubt, tell me that right now, and I'll keep my mouth shut about it forever."
"...Let me tell you something. You can't let this weigh on your heart forever. You know that. You've gotta look forward. I thought that's what we were trying to do here. I don't mean any harm. I just want you to be happy."
"..." Alana sighed and just walked away. She couldn't offer any more comments. Hydranoid shook his heads. He really didn't know what to do with her now.
"Human women are so weird... No wonder why men talk about them all the time..." Hydranoid said quietly so he doesn't cause another argument. "I wonder what Drago thinks."

At around the same time this conversation concluded, Kendrick arrived at a colosseum. It looked like the Dan Kuso Memorial Colosseum, the same one where nationals took place during the Pack fiasco. Clearly, no one could just walk in there and fight, so it was likely in a simulation.
Standing across from Kendrick was Noland. A brawl seemed to be on the horizon. Noland had his game face on, so Kendrick knew he was due for a serious test.
"So this is what being in a simulation feels like," Siege remarked. "I'm guessing this means we're going all out today?"
"Must be. There's no chance of us harming the environment or anyone else," Kendrick knew. "Hm...for some reason, I feel nervous about this. He's using Krakix too. I don't know why, but I feel like him using Krakix is much worse..."
