"...Yeah..." Tracy sighed. "I can't believe how naive I was. I thought doing the bare minimum to survive would've been enough to not turn dark. Just thinking about a certain spell did me in..."
"I doubt we'll be disqualified though. Luckily, our dark halves didn't do nearly as much as they could've done," Skystar noted. "We could've killed him though..."
"That's what's bugging me the most... Yeah, we're not going around using dark magic, but...I have very dangerous abilities. Not being in control of when they're used... I don't know if I can handle that..."

"That may be why you turned. What if your dark half feeds off of that?" Markus wondered. "You've had a good handle on it so far. Even when you were fighting Father Lyles, nothing happened. You threw comets and meteors at him, so I don't think using dangerous abilities is what gets the other half going. You might be more in control of this than we think. That's what I think anyway."
"The referees have reviewed the footage and determined that there was no foul play; therefore, Tracy White is your winner!" an announcer said over the intercom.
"...I know how you're feeling about what happened out there, but I have to say. You're really special. A healer beating the top-ranked offensive brawler so easily is crazy. You're amazing," Markus genuinely believed. "I'm proud of you."
"I overheard some people saying that Auntie Anne's was setting up shop outside. My treat, if you're up for it," Markus offered.

"Awwww..." Skystar teased. Tracy was very grateful to have Markus there. It should go without saying.
"Sure," Tracy happily accepted. "Thanks..."
Now that Markus avoided getting in trouble, Yuji was having himself a good time over what just happened. He was happily humming a tune as he scrolled through Twitter.
"You seem a lot happier than usual," Miko noticed.
"'Her spells won't do that much damage to Drazardon', that person said. Then Skystar nukes him with one and ends the battle immediately," Yuji got out before laughing about it. "Oh man. Alright. We'll give Twitter a break right now. As you've heard, the refs found no conclusive evidence that Tracy did that to Drake with malicious intent. So, she wins, and she did so very convincingly. I don't remember seeing Skystar get damaged at all in the fight."
"You're right. She didn't. This was Tracy's battle from the beginning," Miko accepted. "And it's not like Drake faltered completely. I thought he made the right call in having Drazardon retreat when he did. It was unfortunate that when he did, Draz walked right into Skystar's preferred engagement distance. I'm struggling to think about what Drake could've done differently to avoid this outcome. He wasn't doing anything in close quarters, and he got overpowered at range. Was there even a way for him to win here?"
"I think Drake may have bet on the possibility that Draz could overpower Skystar after using his signature Nuclear Power. Looking at the footage, Drake was shaken when Skystar's summon stalemated Draz's Dark Tornado. When you're faced with a summon that powerful, and then there's Skystar herself whose strength is ambiguous at best, Drake could only make the safest decision that he could make. If he allowed Draz to stay up close, there's no telling what else Skystar would've affected him with. None of us know. So, I don't disagree with anything that Drake did. Anyone worth their salt would've told Drake to regroup after seeing what Skystar put on him. They wouldn't have wanted Skystar to have easy access to someone who wasn't even damaging her at all. That really makes you question why people don't give them enough credit. When you see stuff like this, it really has you wondering what the reason is for downplaying them."
"I didn't get the chance to say this after Alana won since we were on break, but... I'm a full believer now," Miko admitted. "Initially, I was thinking, 'Yeah, they're heroes, but maybe it was just miracles that helped them to do what they did. They're not really refined like the top competition.' You wouldn't even be wrong to think that either. Even Tank thought that way about Noland earlier, but then the young man became national champion. I say that to say, I didn't expect to see what each of them did so far. I think that Calvin is going to have a battle on his hands if he fights either Noland or Allen today."

While the Resistors could celebrate for a job well done so far, there was Drake who was left all alone. He went into the restroom and looked at himself in the mirror. He started hallucinating a little bit. The Drake Kyudai from the Evoblast universe showed his face in the mirror. Drake himself looked like he was struggling to stay in control. He kept beating the sink countertop with his fist. He only stopped when someone walked in the bathroom. No, it wasn't Tinsley this time. It was Jimmy. "Are you alright?" Jimmy asked. "What do you think!?" Drake lashed out. "...Point made..." Jimmy accepted. "...Whenever you're good to talk, I'm here..." Jimmy excused himself from there. Drake's eyes lit up as if he was taken over. "...So you hated your brother...because you were jealous..." Drake now saw from his universal counterpart. "Then why...am I having those urges too...? Am I jealous too...? I won't become you... I can't...or I'll lose everything..."While Drake was fighting his demons, the next contestants were ready to go. "Before we get to the next battle, we have some announcements. And yes, we have been given permission to air out some people's business," Yuji started. "The Arizona Ancients gave Jadyn their approval, so she'll be a star Ancients fans will love to have, especially after the Makuto controversy... You know what happened with the Hurranians and all. Also, all teams have blacklisted Benjamin indefinitely... Didn't see that coming at all. That's a real shame too. I really liked his battle style. I wish he made a better decision out there." "Jenna has her work cut out for her. There are a lot of colleges interested in her. No pro teams though. I'm hearing they want her to get a little bit more experience before they put out any offers. This makes sense. This was only her third official battle, so she definitely has some growing to do," Miko added on. "Here's a surprising one. Maurice is now major eye-candy for college recruiters. They see a lot of potential in him and are hoping that he continues to improve so they can acquire him. That's really good news all things considered.""Maurice, if you're listening, I'm proud of you. Please continue grinding. You're almost there," Yuji sincerely wished. "Leah, the division 3 champion, received multiple offers from pro teams. This is a huge shift from before. She was very vocal about how Maurice ruined her chances of going D1 in the first place. Now, she's about to be a professional brawler. I wonder what changed their mind. But to round this off, Alana and Tracy are being overwhelmed with offers. I know a lot of you like speculating on where people's best move is - in addition to proving Twitter warriors and Youtube commentators wrong about certain outcomes like the most recent battle - so let us know!" "Now, we're moving on to our third-to-last battle of this event... I don't want it to end either.... We've seen so many good performances today...""Can anyone stop the Resistors? There are only three of them left, and only two could possibly face Calvin himself. But first, let's work your nerves a bit by bringing Miko's favorite newcomer to the pros out here.... Well, he'll have to compete with Markus for her attention, but we'll see what be brings to the table. Out of the blue corner, he has made a name for himself for being able to adapt to any situation, defeat any opponent, attract any crowd in the country, and the one who carries Washington's sports on his back. It's the Legion's General, Tank Stryker!" Tank came out in full Legion gear. Gladion was close behind in robed form. Tank held a poker face the entire time. He didn't know who he was fighting. He knew it wasn't going to be Noland or Allen, so that made him a lot more calm by default. Whoever was in charge of matching hasn't let two Resistors fight each other. Why start now? "His opponent in the red corner is our last collegiate champion. She's the NJCAA Division 1 Champion from the New Mexico Military Institute. Very few people actually know what she's capable of. She's hoping to show everyone that they should be paying attention to a lot more than the biggest names. It's Krystal Wolfe!"A girl with unusual purple eyes and light purple hair walked out to the standing ovation from military personnel. She was this universe's Krystal Wolfe. Unlike her Evoblast counterpart, she's in extreme physical shape, is very outspoken, and actually cares about what's going on in front of her. More importantly, she has no relation to Team Blaster. It's important because she has no reason to be, just like her counterpart. The only thing off about her was that she was wearing a short skirt to a brawling event. All she'd need is a nice gust of wind to show everyone her stuff. It doesn't look like she cared about that though.
Tank looked around and saw a couple of uniformed men and women in the audience. Having a biased outlook on what Sargon's behavior encouraged, Tank suspected a hidden motive here. He didn't let it bother him though. That was the case until their platforms brought them closer together, and Krystal was checking him out without shame.
"I'll be honest... We're being taught to hate you guys now...but I don't think I can follow that order anymore," Krystal admitted.
"...Are you okay?" Tank asked in confusion.
"I'm more than okay," Krystal gladly answered. "You must not be if you think that's going to distract me." "Awww. You're no fun. I'm 19, career-oriented, and am no gold-digger, so I won't ruin your career if we were alone for a while...and f-"
"Ref!"
"I don't hear you saying no..." The ref came on over and made sure they both knew the rules. He didn't seem to care about the banter. If anything, he was wondering why Tank wasn't being receptive to Krystal's advances. He knows he would've. He separated the combatants though. Maybe Tank will come to his senses after the battle. Maybe...
"Seems we have more discipline than the military," Gladion noticed.
"I can't really blame them. When the Silver Knights and a group of seven people are more effective than all military branches, their morale must be at an all-time low," Tank believed.
When they returned to their respective sides, the ref began the match.

Without declaring anything, Krystal threw in her Bakugan. Gladion jumped into the arena at the same time. Both Bakugan stood in monster forms on their respective sides. To Gladion's surprise, he had to look up slightly. This was a large dragon:
"Oh..." Gladion sighed in awe. The dragon was almost as big as Drazardon.
"Greetings, Gladion. I'm a Dragonoid just like Drago. I'm also a Dharak. Yes, my parents are a Dragonoid and a Dharak. Thought one of you might like to hear that. Everyone calls me Destroyer, just so you know," Destroyer introduced.
"No offense, but none of us cares about what you are," Gladion interrupted.
"Of course. Just thought you should know, since you'll be seeing me again later due to...obvious reasons. Might help you. Might not. Anyway, I'm not allowed to say anything that'll get Krystal thrown in the brig, so... This isn't personal. Just professional..."
"So you're just going to gloss over the threat you just made?" Gladion wondered.
"Don't die, but...die."
"Ability activate! Disaster Launcher!" Krystal activated. She pointed her gauntlet towards Gladion. After Destroyer poured energy into the device, Krystal shot an invisible blast in Gladion's direction. Tank's eyes glowed blue in response to this attack, which shows how threatening this was.
"Gladion, move!" Tank ordered. Suddenly, a white flash of light covered the entire arena. Strangely, this produced a loud sound, like lightning striking a nearby object. That's almost what happened. A large lightning bolt ended up striking a large chunk of the arena. The power of this lightning strike was so severe that the power in the arena and the surrounding area went out. This was essentially the effect of Disaster Launcher: the area affected suffers the aftermath of a storm.
"...We're not live anymore? What are you talking about?" Yuji asked some nearby people.
"That ability fried everything, even the generators," Miko noticed. "Is that even legal to do? Why would anyone do it anyway? These orgs aren't in the business of not having any viewers!"
"Someone get Markus or Tracy up here. We need to see this," Yuji requested.
Gladion managed to survive by wrapping himself in his cape. This protected him from damage, but now his cape was ruined with burn marks. Destroyer roared loudly and charged to run him over.
"Ability activate! Strength of the Gods!" Tank played. Gladion focused divine energy into his being to gain godly physical strength. With it, he...rolled out of the way?
"What the hell are you doing?" Gladion asked as he surprised Destroyer by grabbing his tail. He forcefully yanked Destroyer into the air and slammed him back into the ground. Gladion got some distance before he could get zapped. With the strong lightning strike, Gladion could only assume Destroyer could do more.
"What are you here to do?" Gladion asked him.
"What does it look like?" Destroyer responded as he got back up.
"Let me guess. You're just like Benjamin, aren't you? You're not here to brawl for sport. You're here so the Army can show they're stronger than us?" Tank guessed.
"I can't confirm or deny that, sexy," Krystal answered. "Don't worry. I'm at least stronger than Benjamin, so you won't be totally bored. Plus, we can have fun afterwards too..."
"Gladion, take that thing out NOW!" Tank ordered. From the sounds of things, he wasn't messing around. He was going to end this as soon as possible.

Before Gladion could do what Tank ordered, Destroyer showed something very unsettling: a gray aura, one that matches what Noland and Allen said Sargon's Giganox had. Neither Tank or Gladion questioned it. All Tank did was smirk. He knew this was going to be a little messy...for his opponent. He wasn't going to show any mercy.
"Ability activate! Blizzard Generator!" An Aquos-colored glow shot out from Destroyer's eyes. A very frigid blizzard brewed on the arena grounds. Thankfully, the barriers were able to trap that energy inside of the arena, or else the spectators would freeze to death almost instantly. Even Tank and Krystal were lucky to be safe from harm. It was hard to see or hear anything too. Gladion covered himself with his cloak to keep warm, but he had no idea how long he'd hold up. Even with his Pyrus powers, this was unusually cold. His eyes couldn't get a lock on Destroyer, and he's supposed to have the second-best vision in the Resistors, behind Drago of course. This told Tank that Destroyer was enhanced by the Army with the same energy system Giganox was using. Destroyer may be worse than Giganox, because its unique genetics may have made him more receptive to this energy.
"Ladies and gents, we're back!" Yuji announced. "Many thanks to Markus and Tracy for making sure we have power."
"We don't know what happened from the time we cut out, but there's a blizzard," Miko noticed. "It looks like a whiteout down there."
"We know that Destroyer is capable of altering weather conditions. It wouldn't surprise me if she's being groomed by the military. Not saying that she is, but I know I would. That's a very devastating ability to use overseas, especially in environments unfamiliar with extreme weather," Yuji commented. "I know that Tank can battle in any conditions. That's part of what makes him so great. I'll bet a lot of money that he hasn't seen anything like this."
"Drago...Gorem...what did you get us into?" Gladion asked out loud. He wasn't expecting an answer. He was secretly hoping that making noise would let Destroyer find him, if he can't do that already. He waited about fifteen seconds, a long time in a battle. That's when the reality of the situation hit him: Destroyer was waiting for Gladion to freeze. The blizzard wasn't fully developed yet either. "If I attempt to do anything, he'll jump on us."
"Ability activate! Helm of Darkness!" Tank played anyway. Gladion's helmet turned gray. So, without Gladion having to move a muscle, he was able to turn invisible. This provoked Destroyer into lunging at Gladion, but by the time he did, the Legendary Soldier was gone.
"That wasn't supposed to happen!" Destroyer roared in frustration. Destroyer was then slammed in his face by a powerful force. Destroyer snapped back, but this encouraged Gladion to continue hitting Destroyer. Destroyer jumped into the air to get away, but this only gave Gladion a clear read of where he was going. It also allowed the audience to finally see him. Unfortunately, they got a good view of a beatdown. Destroyer felt feet on his back, and was then choked. Gladion's weight started to push him down to the ground, and he was losing air fast.
"Who's telling you to act like this, Krystal? I thought Sargon was benched," Tank inquired.
"He was. What? You think he's the only one?" Krystal shrugged. "That's the funny thing about war though. You take out a leader of some group, and then you find out that the leader has followers. Crazy. I know."
"People like that don't have followers. They have SLAVES. Calling them followers implies that the leader actually gives a damn about any of you. You're just a tool for them to show their power," Tank argued. "But, you can keep going though. It's your funeral."
Destroyer attempted to shake Gladion off by doing barrel rolls. This provided yet another opening for Gladion. He pressed his feet onto the back of Destroyer's neck. Since this part of Destroyer's body wasn't as strong as his back, Destroyer hit the ground in almost an instant. Gladion then jumped backwards and floated back down using the power of his cape. He wasn't done yet though.
"Ability activate! Weapon of the Gods - Sphere of Demeter!" While this temporarily exposed Gladion's position, it was worth the risk. Gladion promptly released a clear-attributed orb from his right hand. It then turned red and had a Pyrus symbol etched onto it. It released many pulses of energy to bring a heatwave into the area. It was powerful enough to eliminate the effects of the blizzard and return the weather to normal. On top of that, while the orb is alive and booming, the temperature will stay as it is and will progressively warm up.
"Seems Gladion is invisible and Destroyer is on the ground gasping for air. I wonder what happened," Yuji pondered. "We'd know that if a certain someone let us see."
"Let's hope Tank can keep Krystal from doing that again. I think people are watching the battle so they can see what happens," Miko added on.

"This is going a lot like how I expected it to go. No idea why everyone keeps selling ya'll short. Still, I have to damage you a little. I don't want to get our entire class in trouble. That'd be bad," Krystal announced. Tank didn't pay attention to her talking. He was more interested in seeing Destroyer breathing heavily. Smoke was coming out of his mouth too.
"Is Destroyer okay?" Tank wondered.
"How insulting! Of course I'm okay! You think that's enough to do me in!?" Destroyer roared.
"No need to get all pissy with me. I'm just making sure I'm not bullying you. That's what it feels like anyway. I also want to make sure you don't accidentally die. Not that I want you to, but...maybe? Nothing personal though... Just professional...right?" Tank rusted Destroyer's scales with that remark. He was highly pissed off now.
"That does it! I've had enough!" the dragon yelled.
"Really? And what are you gonna do about it? Giganox isn't here to save you, not that he could anyway! You'll never be good enough to beat us!"
"...Tank...I think you've really pissed him off..." Gladion said with some worry. He felt a significant increase in Destroyer's power level. A permanent gray aura washed over Destroyer. It glowed with high intensity. It reminded him of something. Yuji noticed it too...
"...Doesn't this remind you of when Noland did that...'thing'?" Yuji asked Miko.
"...Now that you say that... It looks very familiar...and a lot more menacing," she responded.
"Ability activate! Storm Fusion!" Krystal tried. As the name implies, Destroyer could now combine storms. For Destroyer's next magic trick, he'll mix a hurricane with a tornado. This'll give the hurricane more powerful winds than normal. That was the least worrisome part of it. When the arena became pelted with rainfall, Gladion became exposed. The torrential downpour beat on Gladion's armor like a drum. But wait, there's more. The arena started to flood...
"It's about time that I'm actually concerned about what she's doing..." Tank kept to himself. "If she decides to use lightning or ice, Gladion could be in big trouble. It doesn't look like Destroyer is begging for air now that he's in this mock Switch Code form."
"Tank doesn't usually just stand there while his opponent is scheming. I wonder what he's thinking," Yuji wondered.
Tank allowed the arena to flood. He figured he'd be nice and allow his opponent to setup. There was this tiny chance that it could be his undoing, but who cares? The way he sees it, it'll do better with ratings if this results in a climactic showdown. Destroyer hovered over the large pool while Gladion stood at the bottom unbothered.
As Tank and Gladion expected, lightning energy started to generate on Destroyer's scales. "Ability activate! Apple of Discord!" Gladion generated a golden apple in his right hand. He threw it out of the water and gave it the divine energy he had leftover so it could float. At about the same time, a giant pillar of lightning surrounded Destroyer and shot straight into the sky. Now, it became very dark, and lightning struck the arena like a cannon. Everyone should've seen Destroyer's shocked look when the only thing struck was the golden apple.
"You missed. Too bad we won't!" Tank shouted. "Ability activate! Weapon of the Gods - Trident of Poseidon!" A portal opened at Gladion's feet. The famed trident rose from underneath. "You should feel lucky. I was planning to use this against Markus or Calvin, but I guess I'll let you be the first victim of my new attack. Consider it a gift of respect to the US Army!"

"Ohhh. You're about to finish me off now? You feeling proud over there?" Krystal asked with a lack of care in her voice. "Honestly, I'm not surprised you're taking this personally, but good grief. You're taking this way too seriously. At this rate, I'm gonna end up begging for positions, and you'll be worse off for making the higher-ups mad. Neither of us wins." She pulled out a purple card, one that resembles a forbidden ability card. Indeed. That's what it was.
"Ability activate! Internalized Focus!" Krystal played. Now that external storms have failed, Destroyer has no choice but to turn to internal storms. That is another way of saying that Destroyer IS the storm. He can adapt characteristics of a storm to physical attributes whenever he wants. Once this was played, Gladion became moderately concerned. Tank was even more attentive than usual.
"Remember. It was you who made this personal," Destroyer warned Gladion before going on a rampage. He dove right in the water, splitting it apart in the process. A tornado-level wind aura covered him, giving him a high burst of speed and obscene offensive power. He was not as fast as Ahio, so Gladion didn't have to worry about not being able to respond in time.
"Ability activate! Eternal Punishment - Atlas!" Tank quickly played. Gladion bravely stood where he was before the eventual high-speed tackle could hit. A globe-shaped blue ball of energy emanated from Gladion. It briefly froze Destroyer in place, and then repelled him. Gladion remained in place as the recoil from Destroyer's tackle produced a gust so powerful, it broke the arena barriers. While Gladion did resist this force, using this ability costed him some health, about 10% per cast. It was well worth the price though. For his sacrifice, Destroyer was about to be punished. An invisible force pushed down on Destroyer. Like he was holding something up...
"No...you," Gladion rejected. "It doesn't matter what you think or say. You are what you do, what you say, and what you follow. You're all the same useless dogs they parade around just so they can think they're strong and in control. You made yourself that the moment you implied you were fighting for them."
"That, and I'm not letting those asswipes get brave enough to come after my friends again," Tank promised. "If you're too weak, then that's how it is. You all still measure your power by how big your explosions are. Big whoop. I can make those too, but I can do it even better than you can." As he said that, Gladion began manipulating the water that Destroyer provided. A large, water sphere was formed around Destroyer with the dragon at its core. It was like a Water Refrain on a very large scale. This was the grand stage for the finisher, the moment everyone was waiting for. Krystal wasn't about to give up either.
"Ability activate! Localized Focus!" Krystal tried. She knew that whatever spell Destroyer was under, his stamina would be very low. So, she used a cost-effective ability, one that compresses the effects of a storm into a devastating beam. Destroyer attempted to use it, but it was no use. Destroyer was being pushed down even more, and he spent more energy trying to hold himself up than on firing the ability.
"Ability activate! Greek Fire!" Tank played. A small portal opened above Gladion's left hand that dropped off a barrier-encased flask. He used Poseidon's trident to control the projectile. He let it circle around Destroyer just to tease him. Then, without it overstaying its welcome, it lodged itself into the water barrier. The inferno that ensued once Destroyer was set ablaze created a pillar of fire that extended all the way into the heavens.

"Wow... Are you kidding me...? He can do that...?" Jenna remarked in awe of Tank's strength. Yuji and Miko were equally as stunned as she was.
"Where did that come from...?" Yuji asked in regards to the sudden showing of force. "We've never seen him act like that before... Tank is known to be very precise and a minimalist when it comes to blowing stuff up. Just look at how high this pillar of fire goes..."
"This attack also destroyed the barriers..." Miko observed. "Thank you very smart people for designing a machine learning barrier... Look at how fast this fire is spreading. If this was really Greek Fire that Gladion just used, how are we gonna put this out?"
"More importantly, what's gonna happen to Destroyer now? Take a look." Destroyer was helpless within the Greek Fire. He screamed in agony, like someone was being burned at the stake. The smell of burnt flesh permeated throughout the arena. Even when Krystal's life gauge dropped to zero, Destroyer was still being cooked in hell. It was only when Gladion waved the trident did the flames start to go away. Everyone could see the serious burns across his skin as he plummeted to the ground and returned to a grayed ball form.
"Destroyer would've died if Gladion didn't show mercy..." Geos noticed.
"...Where did you guys get your power?" Jenna wondered after seeing all of this.

"...Huh..." Even Allen was taken aback by Tank acting like that. Allen knew Tank had done his homework, but this was surprising. Markus was dangerous too. "Guess Tank is really coming for us..." Allen figured. "We really need to watch out for him... We need to be careful about Markus and Tracy too..."
Allen became distracted from that thought when Jenna asked him about their power. He knew it was something she wouldn't be satisfied with, but what else can he say? "I don't know if it was passed down to us, if we got this strong ourselves, or maybe both... Sometimes, I question it when I see us doing something like this," he replied.
"Well, if you're asking about me, I did a lot of crossfit and powerlifting," Gorem revealed. "But, enough about us. I probably wouldn't have objected if that dragon 'accidentally' got cooked a little longer. He's more powerful than Giganox. Granted, he wouldn't win in a fight against Giganox, but still... They really made it that far... You think Noland and Drago noticed that?"
"If we did, then they found out about that as soon as we got here," Allen believed.

Noland was sitting with Alana and Jadyn. The 'third wheel' was the only one who had a smile on her face about what she saw. Noland and Alana were far away from having fun. They were beyond disgusted.
"Um...is everything okay with you two?" Jadyn paused and then asked. "You both have that same look... Like you've seen the most disgusting thing in your lives..." She was right.
"It's scary how right you are," Hydranoid spoke up.
"I...I...um..." Alana fumbled. She turned to Noland to see what he thought. She carefully watched him to see what he would do. Next to the Angels doing what they were doing, Sargon's shenanigans were next in line. Seeing this energy system being used by another Bakugan was very unsettling, maybe even threatening to Noland and Allen.

"..." It took everything Noland had to not cause a scene. It was just as he feared when he told Sargon off. The General made it okay for something like this to happen. Because of him, Krystal now possesses power she doesn't understand. The Army will only accelerate their efforts to get back at the Resistors. Will they groom more of these people? Will they accelerate Krystal's growth? Will they continue to refine this 'super soldier formula'? These were all questions the FBI will have to answer. Fortunately, an agent happened to be sitting in front of him. Noland tapped him and whispered in his ear.
"...Huh...So it all makes sense to me now... Okay," Clarence understood. "I was wondering what happened with Destroyer... I don't pay attention to Greek Mythology..." Clarence had an idea of what happened, but he said this to avoid voicing his true intentions.
"...What's going on...?" Jadyn asked in confusion.
"Nothing," Noland dismissed.
"Right..." Jadyn read the situation and saw that Noland and Alana weren't in the mood to talk about it. She shrugged and watched everyone celebrate Tank's amazing win.

Tank walked back through the arena hallway. Usually, there's a prideful look on his face, like, 'What did you expect? It's me we're talking about!'. Instead, he had a, 'What did I just do?' look. He knows the consequences of his victory. The Army will come back with something else. All this means was the inevitable was delayed. Tank knew that when he was fighting, but it still feels...wrong. Krystal was right in a way. This was a no-win situation.
Then there was another look: 'Why do I feel so empty?' He had his fanbase. Cool. But...he thought about Steve's situation, which led to him thinking about Katherine and John. He'd like to think he became stronger and moved on, but Steve found a way to reopen those wounds. What happened to everyone...and why isn't he happy?
"Hey! Look!" Gladion alerted Tank. Tank looked around and saw a black-haired girl that looked awfully familiar... This girl had a twin that looked just like her too...
"..." Tank walked closer to the two of them. Something was telling him to keep walking by, but what the hell? He's not doing anything right now anyway. "What's going on? Why are you here?"

Dasia was initially shocked by how Tank sounded so uninterested in her presence. Lace was equally as shocked.
"...Is it because of what she's wearing?" Lace wondered. She looked Dasia up and down and saw that she had a sorta revealing shirt and jeans that fit her figure very nicely. This led her to say, "She said she wanted to look good for you though..."
"I did not say that!" Dasia quickly objected. She cleared her throat after her outburst. "I thought I'd come by to see how you were doing... I had no idea there was a competition today though. Congrats on the win!"

"...Don't do it, Tank..." Gladion secretly hoped. He could tell where this was going based on Tank's body language. He wasn't relaxed at all. He was very tense.
"We're all good now, right? Friends again?" Tank said before he got started.
"Here we go..." Gladion braced.
"So, let's all make sure I understand what's going on here. When I'm by myself and try to approach you, you reject me and you're just 'It's for the best', but you come here looking for me, and there's no issue?"
