After noticing the level of boredom on the site, I decided to make this site to discuss about and recommend animes.

I came up with a way to go about this. Anyone will bring any genres and we'll talk about animes under that particular genre. First, I'll go for the most popular genre which is action. Akame Ga Kill

Sounds good, but idk where to start.
First of all, I'd like to say that I did not like this anime first. It was depressing for me and you probably know why (everyone just dies). But now I like it more than those mainstream anime (DB, Fairy Tail...) because it takes things seriously. Let's be honest, when characters in DB and FT die they either 'don't die' thanks to some stupid excuse that makes no sense or they just don't 'stay dead'. This anime is more intense because things are very serious in it.
Definitely, a recommend to 'veterans', but not for people new in anime.

For me, those mainstream animes are usually too long because they always deviate from the main plot and I end up losing interest. About Akame Ga Kill, I also didn't enjoy this anime at first but kept on watching because of my sis and I kinda like the way everyone died including Tatsumi, I had been longing to watch an anime that ends in tragedy. I just don't understand who the main character was, was it Akame or Tatsumi?

I think it was Tatsumi. Even though anime is named 'Akame' I think she is just second main. Only Tatsumi's and her stories are really going deep while others' barely scratch the surface.
And, yes, I agree with what you said. Mainstream anime like those basically have no plot and are not interesting. Dragon Ball is basically 'who yells the loudest wins'.
I wanted Akame Ga Kill to continue. There is manga, but I have not read it. Did you have a chance to read it?

No I don't read manga. I have this stupid idea that reading an action manga will be a lot like reading a ben 10 comic. I think Akame is the main character, well she was the only survivor (even Esdeath, hope I spelt it well, died) it's a safe assumption.

Let's check out another action anime. Guilty Crown, If you haven't watched this anime, watch it. I highly recommend it and it is the only anime with mecha genre that I enjoyed.

Yes, I've watched Guilty Crown twice since I needed some reminders to actually understand the plot. It had that bitter-sweet ending, I must say. Protagonists win, but all that has happened and price of victory still leaves me thinking of how it would have turned out if main character (whose name I forgot) did not become crazed with power.

Can't say I blame him? He turned evil when Hare (the girl that loved him) died. By the way, his name is Ouma Shu.

Well, it is understandable. It sure went to hell very quick with those guys. Seeing you've watched Guilty Crown there is one other anime with a lot of 'psychology' in it. Have you watched Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu? I have received lots of recommendations to watch it. It has only 24 episodes, mixes drama, thriller, action etc.
