Season 4, Ep 11: Grudge At First Sight

"What the-" Justin was dumbfounded, that Evo-Gear made Terrakinox's magic ten times more powerful than before. This was not good.

"ZeoFlaire! Get out of there!" He shouted. Using his superior speed that was enhanced by ZenAvisX, ZeoFlaire and his clone quickly moved out of the way. The two bakugan moved so quickly that it looked like they were teleporting.

ZeoFlaire landed, "Man," he groaned, "This chick is getting on my last nerves..."

"Well then ZeoFlaire, it's about time we do something about it."

The Ventus brawler's eyes flashed green as he shouted his next attack, "Ability Activate! Zephyr: Solar Winds!"

As the shockwaves from Terrkinox's Tremor Seal attack came charging towards the two bakugan. Their hands started to glow once more. This time, they were surrounded by a strange mist. The mist was sent towards the shockwaves, blowing them back and overall, neutralizing them. The two ZeoFlaires leaped into the air and awaited orders from Justin.

"Ability Activate! Eagle's Freedom!" He shouted as he threw another bakugan ball onto the field. This one was a Zephyr Pawn. It only had two wings, unlike the two ZeoFlaires, but it still seemed formidable. The three bakugan charged at the golem, hoping to take it down with a simultaneous attack.

"Go down!"

Zephyr: Solar Winds: Negate any of the opponents effects, I may copy on the opponent's effect that I negated. I copy Tremor Seal.

Tremor Seal: Your Opponent is prevented from trying to copy effects on the battlefield until the end of his third turn [AND/OR] Increase your G-Power by that of the double of his/her current G's. If you choose only one of the two effect, then you may also return the opponent back to base level. I choose the second effect in order to return your G-Power to base level. I pick the first two.

Eagle's Freedom: Send in another bakugan in the field. You may also drop opponents G to 0.

Valentina grimaced. Although she was pleased that her opponent was finally becoming serious, his attacks were getting annoying. It wasn't that she couldn't beat him. He was never really a threat, nor would she ever see him as such. However, the repetitiveness and persistence of his attacks was breaking her concentration; she didn't like that. "Little boy, you are beginning to become a pest. I'm going to have to deal with you."

Her eyes flashed as she activated her next attack. "Now, Terrakinox!" She shouted as the three Ventus bakugan rushed towards her partner, hoping to knock him down and out, but that wouldn't happen, she reasoned. "Ability Activate! Geo Revival!" Terrakinox let out a guttural roar as a magic circle appeared on the floor of the arena. Large rocks rose from the ground, intending on crashing into the three bird bakugan.

Valentina laughed. She would be very impressed if ZeoFlaire and his partners got out of this trap. Geo Revival was the end of many brawlers, including the ones that she had to defeat in order to make it to the final sixteen. If Justin could survive this, then crushing him would be that much more fun.

(Geo Revival: Select up to 2 cards used in battle which has been nullified/copied. Replace it with any normal ability from your bakupack. The effect of the replaced card no longer has its effect on the battlefield. The replaced card need not be played in the same post as this card usage. I replace my Igneous Halt with Ability Breaker.)

Justin smiled at his good looking opponent. He had her right where he wanted her.

Before he could make a taunt, he was cut off by ZeoFlaire, "Well, someone knows how to throw their weight around." He joked, referring to the rocks that were heading towards him and his partners.

"Seriously bro, that sucked." Justin laughed as he shook his head. After a few seconds, his focus returned as he locked eyes with his opponent.

Justin's laughter morphed into a serious frown as the rocks from Terrkinox's "throwing his weight around," smashed into Zephyr Pawn and ZeoFlaire's clone, knocking them out of the game.

He grimaced as Zephyr Pawn returned to his hand. "Dang, you are a hottie and a great brawler. You're the perfect combo. Too bad I'm gonna have to thrash you in front of everyone. Please don't cry when I finish you off." He smiled, indicating the playfulness of his taunts.

His ring started to glow once more as he activated the effect of his Evo-Gear.

"ZenAvisX!" He shouted, truly serious about winning this brawl, "Activate!"

"Gyaaaaah!" ZeoFlaire shouted as his wings started to glow green. Not wanting to share the fate of his partners, he used his incredible speed to dodge the attacks.

Justin smirked with confidence. ZeoFlaire was a very fast bakugan, but combined with the power of ZenAvisX, he was practically untouchable. The eagle bakugan swiftly zoomed between the attacks with easy. He was so incredibly fast, that it looked like he was teleporting rapidly, landing on the ground, on rocks, appearing in the air, doing what ever he could to avoid the attacks.

The rocks ended up crashing into each other, smashing into bits as they missed the Ventus bakugan. He then charged forward disappearing one last time.

"What a shame." ZeoFlaire taunted as he appeared behind Terrakinox, "You pose no threat to me if your speed doesn't add up."

ZenAvisX: Negate any move or card the opponent uses.

Valentina raised her eyebrows in intrigue. At one point in the brawl, Justin's bakugan didn't stand a chance. However, he had all of a sudden become fast, very fast. It was quite the sight to behold, seeing a bakugan move so quickly that it looked like it was teleporting from place to place. It was incredible. The Subterra brawler smirked while thinking to herself, So this is the power of the veteran member of those Nova Brawlers. Interesting.

She looked intensely at the seen in front of her, studying the movement patterns of ZeoFlaire as he dodged Terrakinox's Geo Revival attack. If it were any other opponent, they would have been smashed within the rocks just as Zephyr Pawn and ZeoFlaire's clone were. However, this was no ordinary opponent, just an annoying parrot and his flirtatious nuisance of a brawler. She'd have to stay on her guard.

"Terrakinox!" She shouted in order to get her bakugan's attention. The golem turned to look at Valentina and grunted in acknowledgment. The Russian girl nodded "It's time that we go all out on the offensive." She then glared straight at her opponent. "You've been a fun opponent, Justin, however, this game is over. It's time we widen the gap between our skills, now." Her eyes flashed that golden brown color as he shouted, "Terrakinox! Activate Geo-Gate!"

The bakugan roared and slammed his spiked fists together. Several magic circles appeared all over his body as the attack was activated. Suddenly, thousands of sharp-edged rocks appeared from the circles, intending to shred anything in their path. Even with ZeoFlaire behind Terrakinox, this attack had no blind spot. Valentina smiled in relief. She had this punk right where she wanted him.

"Gyaaaaah!" ZeoFlaire shouted as he was pummeled by a barrage of razor sharp rocks.

Justin stared, his jaw slightly open. He hadn't expected Valentina to pull of such a devastating attack. Even with ZeoFlaire's incredible speed, there was no way to dodge an attack with no blind spot There was even a magic circle above Terrakinox's head.

Justin shook his head. He had gotten cocky and distracted by his opponent. Oh well. He was positive that Gin would give him Hell for this.

As ZeoFlaire returned to his hand, the eagle bakugan groaned as he said to his partner, "Sorry man. I just couldn't do it."

"Don't worry buddy," Justin smiled at his partner, "I should have been more focused."

He turned to look at his opponent. "Valentina, You are quite the opponent. This was a fun brawl and I hope you do well in the tournament."

"Also," He continued with a sly smile, "You're quite the young lady. We should go out some time, you and me. Well, good luck and later!" He turned around and gave a sort of half-wave to the Russian girl as the crowd cheered her name.

Valentina gave a confident smile as Terrakinox's assault hit its mark. She had figured out her opponent's strategy, and then broken it down to it's most basic points, deducing each one of his next moves. It was a simple but effective strategy taught to her by father. Never back down from an opponent, be calm and level headed, and yuo will be able to deduce your opponent's attacks by their movements, actions, and their feelings. Those words still echoed in her mind.

Father, She though to her self. His death had come at a blow. Now that he was gone, all she had left was Shadow Storm, more specifically Master Kaden, who believed in cleansing the world and making it a better place. It was people like him who gave her hope for the future. Therefore she chose to follow his orders exactly how he told her too, that's why he gave her the powers that she possessed.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Justin's voice. Despite being her opponent and despite losing to a girl, he was very polite about the whole thing. In fact, he sounded like he enjoyed the brawl. How peculiar. However, his last comment bothered her, "We should go out some time, you and me." As he turned to walk away, she turned around and laughed nervously. She wasn't sure what it was, but something about the Ventus brawler made her feel...uncomfortable. Who would make such an offer after meeting someone only for the first time?

"Fool." She muttered under her breath.
