To get to know more about Bakugan, here is the list of the basic terms you may learn below!
BakuCore: A BakuCore is a metal, hexagonal shaped tile that empowers Bakugan and allow them to transform from closed to open ball form ("Stand"). It is the replacement for the metal Gate Cards.
Ability Card: An Ability Card is an extremely valuable card to be holding in a deck. They are played from the hand at certain times to affect the outcome of the match. It's also quite forceful and when used properly, it can have a devastating effect on your opponents. There are four types of cards: Action Card, Hero Card, Evo (Evolution) Card, and Flip Cards. Faction: Factions are representative of the Bakugan element system. They consist of Pyrus (Fire), Aquos (Water), Haos (Light), Darkus (Dark Energy), Ventus (Nature) and Aurelus (Gold).
B-Power: B-Power, short for "Bakugan Power", is the replacement for G-Power and is first one of the two stats on a Bakugan from the Bakugan Battle Planet series. Much like its predecessor, it is the measure of a Bakugan's current power level. It can be affected by BakuCores and Ability Cards. Unlike G-Power, a Bakugan's B-Power is standardized with all releases of the Bakugan and is no longer randomized.
Damage Rating: Damage Rating is the second stats on a Bakugan. It is the Bakugan's attack power and determines how much life points the opponent loses.
Energy: Energy is used like mana points. It is used as a cost to play Ability Cards depending how much the Energy is required. Players can charge 1 Energy per turn. Although it is not required to charge Energy every turn, it is highly recommended to do so in order to boost the Energy to the number needed to play the right Ability Cards.
Hide Matrix: The Hide Matrix, also known as the BakuCore Field, is the arrangement of BakuCores that make up the playing field. During the game, players will roll their Bakugan over the Hide Matrix, attempting to pick up BakuCores for bonuses. Instead of calling the "battlefield", we now call it the Hide Matrix.[/ul]
