Bakugan Evoblast Episode 3


After the battle against Dimitri in a warehouse, Jimmy and Edin participate in a competitive battle at the stadium. Later when Edin has defeated many opponents, he now faces a battler named Herman Wendbaerne! A member of Dimitri's gang. With the audience watching them battle, who will take all in this battle and who will go home?

"Herman Wendbaerne vs Edin Ryu!! Get ready to launch your Bakugan and have a blast!!" announcer Rumiko Kasumi said, pointing finger in the air as the crowd cheered louder.

OOC: All members (except old canons and Drake Kyudai since he doesn't appear yet) are allowed to post in this RP as they are watching this battle. You get $300 reward per posting!

[Kelvin Casper]

Kelvin setting among the spectators said within him self " i pray this kid makes us proud" The crowd were all supporting Edin cause he is a good guy " well we just sit here watching cause if we try to cheat we will be punished" Demotoloid said to Kelvin as he popped of Kelvin's pocket " Well you are right, we can't do anything" Kelvin replied.

[Herman Wendbaerne]

Herman strode out of the entry to the arena with a wild glint in his eye. He finally had a team. He finally had a leader to follow and from what he had seen, Dimitri was perfect for his tastes.  All his life he had been searching for a team or a group to be a part of and now he had one.
"Calm down Herman." Katapultra cautioned, "You need to focus on this battle and make Dimitri proud"
"Your right," Herman replied, "Let's get down to business and defeat this guy."
"Gate card set! Bakugan Brawl! Bakublaster launch!  Let's go Ventus Katapultra!"

[Dimitri Crushuffler]

In the stands, Dimitri was sitting next to some of his fellow bullies, looking down upon the arena with a glare on his face. He was still annoyed by the fact that he lost to Jimmy, and was still shocked by how Heronix was able to break free from the quicksand. He looked down upon Herman, and glared at him. "Don't fail us, Herman... And don't get humiliated by that brat..." Said Dimitri, warning Herman.

[Jimmy Kyudai]

Meanwhile, Jimmy was relaxing in the locker room after winning some battles. He saw the public TV featuring Edin Ryu vs Herman Wendbaerne! Heronix came out from Jimmy's pocket, "Hey check it out it's Edin!" Heronix said after his ball form was opened. "Sweet, I bet he's gonna win! I want to see how he raises his skills after we've promised professor Rumiko that we will become stronger some day!" Jimmy replied, "Hey I forgot we gotta catch up with Wendy! She wouldn't wanna miss this battle without me, let's go Heronix!" Jimmy said, grabbing Heronix by the ball form and leaving the locker room. "You really think Wendy is gonna get mad for not catching up, don't you Jimmy?" Heronix sighed.

[Edin Ryu]

Edin took a nice stroll from the entrance of the arena towards his placement in the arena thinking about his and Jimmy's success in this tournament. "So far, so good." Edin said in his mind with a smile on his face. "Just a little while longer before we reach the top...but first..." He stepped up to where he was supposed to stand in the arena. He heard Rumiko say his opponents name, but it didn't ring a bell in his mind. He took a quick glance at his opponent since he didn't know who he was, and suddenly, his mood changed from being excited that he had made it this far to a serious demeanor. "So...I have to deal with one of those guys, huh?" Edin said to himself. His opponents face looked very familiar. While Edin just recently found out the guy's name, he remembers seeing him alongside Dimitri and his fellow gang members. It was safe to say he was facing a member of this said gang. "Hey Herman!" he shouted. "You should know by now that who you're associating yourself with is a criminal! Stealing bakugan is wrong! What you're doing to these people is vile and heartless, and you will get what is coming to you!" 

"Bakumonitor Battlefield, activate!" His glasses were his Bakumonitor, and it shined, giving him access to 3D view of the bakugan as well as allowing gate cards to be placed in the arena. Edin got a hold of his bakugan and was prepared to throw it into battle. "Ready for some revenge?" Edin asked. "Justice is always ready! Let's rock!" 

"Alright! Bakugan brawl! Bakublaster, launch!" Dragoonior was thrown onto the gate card, and then stood in his monster form. In the process of doing so, he launched projectiles at his opponent while also receiving the hits from the opposing projectiles. As he anticipated this, he used his gaunlet-like shield to block them to prevent any unnecessary damage from being taken. "Bring it on!" Dragoonior roared. 

[Herman Wendbaerne]

Katapultra didn't fair quite as well as Dragoonior, because when he ducked to avoid the projectiles, they still managed to strike his wings.  He stood his ground, however and was not much worse for the encounter.
     Herman laughed at Edin's words.   "Sure," he said, "you and your pals would like to think that we are evil, but thats just because you're afraid of us.  We have the true power.  Just because you finally decided to come out from behind Jimmy's coat tails and fight, doesn't mean that you have any power at all."  He grinned slyly at Edin and then continued, "Enough talk," he exclaimed, "Let's get serious!  Katapultra!  Ability activate! Big storm!"
      Katapultra sent a ball of green energy flying across the field to strike Dragoonior in the chest and then collapsed.  Dragoonior was looking better and better but then, suddenly the two bakugan completely changed as Dragoonior collapsed and Katapultr got his turn at looking smug and strong.
     "Ha," Herman laughed, "Your Dragoonior isn't so strong now is he?  Big storm allows Katapultra to transfer almost all his gs to the opponent and then switch them.  How do you like that?

[Steven Hunt]

Steven was closely watching the battle between Edin and the fellow group member of Dimitri's gang, Herman. "We will win this battle no matter what." He thought with a smirk on his face. However, he really didn't know what the two were talking about in between most of the fighting because they weren't talking too loud, unless they used their abilities. "He better not be saying anything that could get all of us kicked out."
Steven thought. He continued to watch the battle with his arms crossed.

[Edin Ryu]

"So you think you're any better by hiding behind your leader and your teammates by cheating? Edin asked. "Funny. You're not just evildoers who steal bakugan, but maybe a little bit stupid." Following the ability's activation, Edin did not expect much from the attack considering it did not do any visible damage, but he suspected that there was more to the attack than what they saw. His suspicions were proven true as a dangerous amount of Dragoonior's power was transferred to his ventus attacker. After hearing Herman underestimate him once again, and then asked his opinion on the attack, Edin could only crack a smile while planning ahead. "Do better!" Edin exclaimed. He then pulled out an ability card and shouted, "Ability activate! Ability Breaker!" Upon activation, a light flashed from the card, cancelling the effects of the ability Herman had activated. This brought their power levels back to the way they were at first. Dragoonior then had enough strength to get back up and rejoin the fight. "Nice save, Edin." Dragoonior rejoiced. "Now I'll return the favor!" Dragoonior took flight and charged at Katapultra with a sword and shield in hand in an attempt to land devastating blows on his opponent.

[Herman Wendbaerne]

     At the activation of Edin's ability, Herman grinned.  He wasn't fool enough to think that Dragoonior, or Edin for that matter, would go down without a fight.  When he saw Dragoonior charging across the field, he knew he had good reason to worry though.
  "Get out of the way!" Herman shouted at Katapultra, "Don't just let him hit you!"  Katapultra managed to dodge but only barely avoided the attack.  "Quick," Herman shouted, "take to the air! You are a ventus bakugan after all!"
   "Of course master!" Katapultra replied and he soared off, trying to get above Dragoonior. 
  Once he had managed to get above Dragoonior, Herman called out, "Ability activate!  Green flame!"  A burst of swirling green fire burst from Katapultra's jaws and shot down toward Dragoonior.  Two more blasts, aimed in the same general area finished the attack and if succesful would seriously decrease Dragoonior's strength.

[Edin Ryu]

"Hmmmm. This should knock you down a couple of stories. Ability activate." Edin said as he revealed a card in response to Green Flame. "Hide Armor!" Dragoonior's armor began to glow as it became reinforced with his power, enabling it to protect the user from the attacks that were aimed at him and it allows him to link an effect along with it to power up even more. Due to the nature of his opponents attacks, he decided to use the same power decreasing effect it would have had to power up his next move. His sword turns green, and with the linking complete, he instantly shot straight up into the sky resisting the attacks with his shield since he was protected, and was able to stun Katapultra with his shield, and then landed a powerful slash on the enemy's body. "You're definitely going to be feeling that for a while!" Dragoonior gloated.

[Herman Wendbaerne]

"Katapultraaaaa!" Herman yelled as his long time friend and partner plumitted to earth.  "You will pay for that, Edin.  Katapultra has been with me for a long time and I'm not going to let you do that to him."  Herman dropped his head, trying to hide the angry tears that threatened to come pouring down his face.  "If he knew what we had been through together," Herman thought, "he would understand the reason I follow Dimitri."  He remembered the years of sadness, when those he had called friends all turned on him and left him to wander, alone, through forsaken places.  He remembered the ridicule that every person he had met had poured down on him. But then he met Dimitri.  Dimitri had been kind to him and allowed him to come in and be part of the team.  He followed Dimitri because he was he only one he could remember that had been kind to him during those long, hard years.  Suddenly, he lifted his head.  "Katapultra," he said, "ready to finish this guy?
     "I'm always ready!"
     "Then let's do this!  Gate card open! Wind Wall!  Your last ability now does you no good and any ability you use to hurt Katapultra, will hurt you instead."
     A spiraling green wall surrounded Katapultra and rose high in the air, protecting him from any attack that Dragoonior might try to use against them.

[Edin Ryu]

"You looked like you were about to cry there." Edin taunted. "I wish you cared about other bakugan like you do that one. It would make defeating you less necessary." Edin then pulled out an ability card in response to that gate card. Despite the disadvantage he was now placed in due to that shield's activation, Edin knew exactly what he needed to do to regain control over this battle. "Ability activate! Heat Thrasher!" Dragoonior let out a loud roar as a swarm of large meteors began to rain down on the battlefield. As they were headed to their targets, they began to burst into flames. The first few were aimed at the gate card on purpose in order to nullify it, and it did just that. With the meteors crashing into the gate card, it made it useless, and the shield protecting Katapultra ceased to exist. This left his opponent open to be devastated by this meteor storm as the impacts were sure to cause major trouble for anyone caught in its path. "You could never protect yourself from justice, Katapultra!" Dragoonior roared.

[Herman Wendbaerne]

Edin's remark made Herman scowl, but Dragoonior's attack was even worse than anything Edin could say.
     "I have to do something, and fast." Herman thought, then he yelled above the explosions, "Ability activate! Tornado alley!"
     Katapultra started to rise to his feet to make the attack, but a missile struck him and kept him from finishing the move.
     "Katapultra, get up buddy!" Herman yelled.
     Suddenly, bakugan came flying into the arena from the stands and about 100 bullies leapt from their places to join Herman in the fight.  "Thanks guys." Herman said weakly.

[Edin Ryu]

Edin raised an eyebrow as soon as he saw about 100 bakugan appear instantly. "Uh oh... That's a lot of bakugan..." Edin said in his mind. "Well, at least these people will finally see them for what they truly are if they haven't already." Edin then pulled out a card that had a surefire way of ending this battle even when there is a massive swarm of enemies against him. "You guys can't stop cheating, can you?" Edin asked. "Don't your realize that cheaters can never truly win? Ability activate! Incinerator Grenade!" Dragoonior launched a fire ball directly at his attackers that increased in size as it neared his opponents. This was because the ability increased his power even more if he was facing multiple bakugan, and due to the sheer amount of bakugan against him, only a fool would want to stick around to be hit by this attack. As it neared his opponent, Edin said in his mind, "I made a promise to become stronger. Not just to Professor Rumiko, but to my friends as well. One hundred bakugan will not keep me from keeping my promise. Not now. Not ever." By the time the fireball reached his opponents, the size of it was enormous. The monstrosity towered over his opponents. "Burn out!" Dragoonior roared. The fireball was detonated in their vicinity, and a massive explosion occurred that wiped out every single enemy that stood before it, leaving not a single standing bakugan in the aftermath.
