Episode 7: Welcome Back, "Iron Juggernaut"

[Noland Hardy]

After fighting through a tough series of back-to-back battles, Noland finally found some time to meditate on the current situation at hand. He decided to battle for recreational purposes once again to help him get his mind off of the nightmare that is commonly referred to as his "dark past". As he sat in his room to contemplate, he observed the pictures on his dresser once again; he looked past the picture that had Alana in it on purpose to avoid any unnecessary showing of emotion, but one particular photo had caught his interest: the picture of himself and Allen Silva at their graduation. Everyone knew Allen by the moniker "Iron Juggernaut", the one he received while battling alongside Noland in that unforgettable fiasco. In this crisis, he could only wonder if both of them were going through the same thing as they were commonly caught up in the same situations since the emergence of the "Terrorists" when they were 10 years old. 

Noland was curious to find out how he was doing after a considerable amount of time apart, so he decided to give him a call that night to check on him. Allen received the call and happily received him, but had very interesting news to share. The stress in his voice was very apparent, and it was clear that there was a message that desperately needed to be heard. Before he was able to do that, he had to start from the beginning; he had to say what led him to this in the first place.

[Allen Silva]

Ever since the fated night, Allen's parents put the wall down on his actions. Every day it was simply go to school, return, and open the study books. He was compleately forbidden from brawling. Allen was tiring himself with trying to answer his parents wishes, but it was hard. He was a brawler at heart and that was his calling. Yet with "big brother" breathing down his neck, he didnt have time or the ability to sneak out. His parents literally put cameras in his room. Allen was lucky they didn't take Shatter Gorem from him.

But what they couldn't take was rumors and the news. Allen had, from various resources, kept up to date with the current terrorist activities. He found it very deliberate that they would attack now. Especially with him out of commission as far as brawling went.

So instead of brawling, to waste time, he begun to lift weights. One day, he was leaving his gym time, when some girl stopped him to challenge him to a brawl. Of course, even with the bans his parents placed, he couldn't say no to a brawl.

" alright miss, lets see how ya fare against a unbeaten Titan like me. Gate card set! Bakugan brawl ." Allen called out as he tossed a card out. Following that up, he tossed out a brown ball. " Bakugan stand! Now lets bust 'em Shatter Gorem."

Shatter Gorem changed into his monster form. It is a bipedal golem bakugan with light armor around his forearms and shins. He also has a helmet." We're gonna show you how we rev it up!"

[Akane Huomoto]

    Akane was walking around the place, bored out of her mind, her bakugan currently resting from their last battle which wasn't worth their time at all if you ask her. "Torahu, I'm bored..." she groans, waking up her blue pyrus bakugan resting on her shoulder.

    "Well I don't really know what to say... Maybe if you keep your eyes sharp, you'll find some worthy opponent who won't be taken down so easily with a few moves from us." Torahu says, stretching a bit before hovering above her partner's shoulder.

    The pyrus brawler shurgs, "I suppose so. After all there is no point on heading back home..." the girl's eyes caught a familiar person.

    The sudden stop in speech had drawn Torahu's attention to whatever or whoever Akane's attention was stolen by, and was slightly shocked as well. "Is that?!"

    Akane nods with a smirk, "Yeah, finally someone worthy of battle, unlike those weaklings we destroyed in the past week or two." She walks up to the person who was just leaving the gym,     "Hey. You." She takes Torahu off her shoulder, who had curled up into her sphere form. "You up for a brawl?"

    The Iron Juggernaut had agreed to the challenge, much to her delight, and placed the field, ready for a brawl with his Subterra Shatter Gorem now on the field.

    "Hah! Don't get your ego to high up, because I'll be there to make sure it lowers in a heartbeat!" she growls with a smirk, and throws her blue pyrus bakugan in. "Bakugan Brawl! Roar! Torahu!"

    Torahu has landed on the gatecard and transformed into her original form, a white tiger with blazing fiery blue eyes and blue flames dancing on her back and the top of her tail.
"I'm counting on you to make this a rather interesting brawl Shatter Gorem!" The blue bakugan roars, shaking the field for a second before she got in her battle stance, her gaze locked on the subterra bakugan like a predator hunting its prey.

Allen whistled at what he saw. This girls bakugan was a fearsome creature indeed. Definently a level of competition he hasn't faced in a long time." Beat it down in a heartbeat? You seem a little overconfident yourself there little girlie. " Allen responded while looking through his ability cards. He wanted to see the perfect oppening move for his return to brawling." Ya do know who I am, don't ya? I'm known as the " Iron Juggernaut". Yep, that's right, here is Allen Silva in the flesh."

After the short introduction, he finally found the ability he was looking for." Alright Gorem. First move is online. Ability activate!" Allen said, holding up a glowing brown card." Here comes Rush Wrecker." He finished.

" Great choice partner."Shatter Gorem's body began to glow with a bright brown energy. As his speed begun to increase, so did the amount of energy that sorounded the subterra bakugan. He charged at Torahu in a shoulder ram, looking to run right through the pyrus bakugan.

" afraid now are ya? Well you should be. This ability makes it so lowering Gorem's power would be a useless endeavor. I ain't even gonna have to break a sweat here." Allen goaded with the first move out of the way. Or so he thought until he remembered that there was still part that he forgot about." Oh and don't try to grow your own power either. More often than not, it's not gonna work."

[Akane Huomoto]

    Akane narrows her eyes, "now that seems like a rather good card to have on hand..." she murmurs, taking out her deck and looking through her cards. "Which one to use... Tiger's Claw, Blue Ignition, what else..."

    Torahu stands her ground, in a battle stance, barring her pearl white teeth, "I'm ready when you are Akane. Give me a nice ability so I can possibly rip him into shreds." The tiger growls, the blue fire on its back flaring up, making herself look larger.

    "Okay then, lets set this up. Ability Activate! Blue Ignition!" Akane shouts, holding up an ability card.

    Her bakugan response to the card was a roar, causing the blue flames on her back to engulf both herself and Shatter Gorem. "You should loose some Gs every turn, and at this point, negative effects won't effect Torahu." The pyrus brawler explains before looking through her cards again. This is the 'Iron Juggernaut' we're going up against, every move counts... Now what should the next step for the plan be... "I'll just have to wait and see for his next move to have mine," she murmurs, bringing the cards down to her side and looking at the field where the two bakugans brawling stand.

[Allen Silva]

Shatter Gorem's ability, which protected his power from being changed was still active. This was Akane's mistake." Hey girl, did you forget my rush wrecker essentially eliminates power level from the battling equation?" Allen reminded his opponent. She seemed to have forgot that pivotal piece of this puzzle. But those flames seemed like they were going to be trouble, so he prepared his next move anyway." Here we go, ability activate, ability breaker." Allen said, holding up a ability that glowed with the white light of a generic ability.

" now your probably thinking, why did I do that. Well here's why. Those blue flames terrorize my power level. If the advantage my bakugan has now was somehow lost, I would have been in real trouble." The subterra brawler explained to his naïve opponent. He wanted a real challenge out of this girl, but she wasnt showing anything so far.

Shatter Gorem, responding to the activation of the ability breaker, glew the same color as the ability. This light dispelled the flames from both him and Torahu. Shatter Gorem then continued his charge at the cat bakugan.

" hint hint here on how to survive this. Find a way to stop the massive rock man from blasting your cat. If you don't, your going to experience real power."

[Akane Huomoto]

Torahu growls at the two, reflecting her partner's inner feelings about the move. There really wasn't anything she could do now at this point, she still wanted him to play one more ability so she could activated that one card she has lingering about in her mind. Just this one, then I can...

"Ability activate! Swift Thruster!" She shouts as Torahu glows blue and smashes herself against the subterra bakugan, but with no avail due to that one ability activated in the beginning. If my calculations are correct, then I should be able to do that move... If he doesn't have some wacky counter-card... She says to herself mentally, her attention not really all on the battlefield. "I'm well aware that the move won't affect your bakugan... yet." She says, adding on the last part in a whisper tone, her fingers playing with a card, which just so happens to be her next move if all things go according to plan.

[Allen Silva]

Allen was surprised at Akane's methods. She was going head on even though it would be detrimental to her winning. It seemed obvious to Allen that she had some sort of master scheme. Allen pulled a ability card out and activated it all in one motion." Ability activate, gravel roam." Allen said, still holding up the glowing ability card." Lets see how they last between a rock and a hard place my brother from another mother."

" looks like we're getting serious here." Shatter Gorem goaded, all while picking up a handful of rocks, charging them with his energy. This gave the rocks a disspelling property, which was the whole point of the ability. The golem bakugan then threw the rocks at Toharu. As the rocks flew, a energy trail followed." Sorry but we know what a trap looks like when we see one. And guess what, that had trap written all over it. Well its not going to work, because the energy on those rocks make your ability split." Shatter Gorem boasted, shadow boxing against the air.

[Akane Huomoto]

The rocks shot at Tourahu indeed made it, but it really didn't faze the pyrus brawler.
"Hm well played." Akane says as she brings out her next card, her next move. "Special Ability Activate! Tiger's Claw!" She says as Tourahu pounds on the field with her claws unsheathed three times. There was a flashing light every time the pyrus bakugan had smashed the field, causing some rather... interesting effects. "This special ability should place an end to that protection of yours, stop that ability breaker from interfering with my move, and stop that gravel roam ability part-way." She explains as her bakugan was engulfed in a light blue light. "Did I forget to mention that Torahu gains a few Gs? Well, ya know now." The few abilities Akane had played before were now reactivated, the prevention abilities now nulled out.

[Allen Silva]

Allen flinched at how prepared she was for his gravel roam. He wasnt expecting such a perfectly timed counter attack when he had only just came up with his own next move." That's a good card you got. But it won't help against my arsenal of butt whoopin', bakugan crushin' moves." He taunted, starting to get into his groove. He looked through his cards, dropping the basic cards to the floor. After a few seconds, he finally found what he was looking for. This card was one of his favorites and a very powerful card." Here we go now. Gate card open. Face the power of my Monolith Broken."

The battling area began to rumble after a brown energy pulsed in the shape of a card. The rumbling continued, and even intensified in certain places. From those separate epicenters came buildings, monuments, and the rests of the makings of a ancient city. Once the city had fully erected, a wave of green energy blew through the new battlefield, taking with it any of the effects of Torahu's abilities. This energy also powered up Shatter Gorem, letting him use more of his power.

[Akane Huomoto]

Akane sighs, thinking of her next move. She was finished with wave one, now it was on to the second wave? She wasn't too sure and just allowed to see where the flames would take her in this round. "Well, might as well use this guy up," she holds up a card, "Ability Activate, Crushing Claw!"

Torahu had launched the blue flames dancing on her back towards Shatter Gorem and latched onto him for a second before withdrawing with some copied data. "With this it should allow Torahu to attach any status attachments you have, which would be that shield which is preventing the power levels from dropping..." She just knew something rather bad was going to happen next. Another counter and advantage for him on his next move most likely... For this is the Iron Juggernaut wouldn't give in to such a move like that.

[Allen Silva]

Allen had already prepared his own counteraction for Akane's attack. Really it would be a counter for any move, so he was always in the clear." Lets see what you do when we get brighter." Allen taunted, holding up a now glowing ability card. That measly move wasn't going to shake him without a real kicker." Ability activate. Powers polish. Here comes the power of the light."

Shatter Gorem began to gain a metallic sheen to his rock body. As he grew more and more of this sheen, a light begun to erupt from his body." Powers polish once again eliminates the need for power ups. But if you haven't noticed, the ability also can adapt a portion of its ability from a second ability." Gorem hinted at, making it known that theirs more to this move than meets the eye." Now return to the field, Gravel Roam!" Upon comand, the gravel from his previous ability shot out and back at Toharu.

[Nero Bullock]

"Seems you're having a lot of fun, Akane," Nero said as he made a brief appearance through a portal opened by his mysterious Bakugan. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Silva; I've already become well acquainted with your eternal rival. He told me to give you his regards while he sat in the rubble of a campus," Nero proclaimed to Allen. He then turned his attention to Akane and began speaking out loud. "The legend of the 'Iron Juggernaut' is an ugly truth, isn't it? His defense is among the best you'll ever see. Regardless of how skilled of a brawler you may be, you are no match for the 'impenetrable' shield that the young man possesses. At this rate, that Gorem will drive you into the ground if you're not able to inflict considerable damage in the next few turns."

Nero held out a Bakugan and immediately threw it into battle. It stood with a mighty roar that repelled all of the incoming gravel instantaneously.



"That was terribly easy to counter. It's clear you're not taking this battle seriously. I have to give you your props for being such a dominant force without being close to 100%. Very good," Nero commended. "Fortunately for you, Akane," Nero said. "Abbadon is finished with his diagnostics and is ready to be used on demand. This shall place you on somewhat of an equal ground with Silva and should give you some room to mount a comeback. Although he's a legend, you should at least be able to provide a better challenge than this according to your statistics. I hope you'll at least make it interesting this time." With that said, Nero exited the premises by going back through the portal he arrived there with.

[Akane Huomoto]

"Thank you very much for the small gift..." Akane's face as unseeable due to a shadow casted over. "Sounds pretty nice...Abbadon huh?" her red eyes were seemingly glowing now, her pyrus bakugan now staggering up to its paws to stand beside Abbadon, the feline's eyes now glowing as well. "Well then, shall the real show begin!?" Her laugh seemed rather... dark and demented at this point, now pumped up for a decent battle rather than the weaklings she had brawled before.

"Now Abbadon, Torahu, let's wrap this up," and the two launched themselves at Shatter Gorem, combining their strength and power, clashing with the subterra opponent in hopes of actually lowering his power levels rather then wasting their power on trying to beat down something that couldn't be beaten down to begin with.

[Allen Silva]

Allen grimaced again. A whole new enemy and whatever's going on here caught him by surprise. This new bakugan even negated the power of his last ability. He needed to push them back and rally behind a powerhouse ability. He fetched up another ability and prayed for its success." Ability activate, Richter Blockade. Now lets try this on for size." He shouted out.

Shatter Gorem charged more energy into his hands, and reached up under a piece of the ground. Gorem, utilizing all his strength, pulled up the chunk. Then the bakugan punched the piece of the ground, sending it after Toharu and the brand new opponent. Now all he had to do was survive their next assault
