Episode 25: The Mistake You Will Never Make Again

[Noland Hardy]

Ever since Nero's identity of being the director of the CIA was exposed due to Karen running her mouth, he has constantly been in and out of the office while staying transformed into different forms to avoid getting caught by the police. While he was in his office, one of his employees who was avidly paying attention to the Supreme Court told him that a case has been taken by the justices to determine whether it was legal to make stricter laws about the restriction on possessing Bakugan rather than just an age limit. Although he was satisfied that they finally took a case involving that, Nero was still unsatisfied since he believed that it was going to be another Second Amendment case if the idea of them being used as self-defense comes up, which was something he hoped they wouldn't do since he allowed the Terrorists to wreak havoc just to convince the public of how dangerous they are. Since the Supreme Court will likely take too long to decide a verdict on the matter, Nero simply concluded he was correct in abandoning the waiting game and taking action himself considering he did not expect his identity to be revealed so early or the Terrorists breaking away. He instructed the employee to continue paying attention before returning to his hideout.

Upon reaching the hideout, Nero was confronted by Montai, who had the results of Kendrick's analysis. He read the results and was slightly disappointed that Kendrick's DNA confirmed one of Nero's theories to be false, which stated that the reason why Noland was able to use his special power was because of a genetic ability. He figured it would be beneficial to try on multiple targets since he attempted to test the same thing with the alien king's corpse to see if the power his Bakugan contained had anything to do with him. He could now conclude that the special power comes from the Bakugan, which can extend to their partner under certain circumstances. He also began theorizing that this ability was unique to the two Bakugan he saw on the slabs, which was two dragon-like Bakugan. This made him interested in getting Belphenoid back to implement his new findings to finish his plan, but he needed the Terrorists to return with them in their possession. While he waited, he called the President to inform him that he had all of the knowledge necessary to fulfill the plan that was laid out for them following the defeat of the aliens, but he was working on getting the Pack back before he was able to do it. He advised him to make sure the FBI stayed off his back while he takes care of the problem.

Fortunately for him, Karen had already challenged the Terrorists to confront him personally on the same night he stole Kendrick. They arrived at the hideout with the intent on destroying him; however, instead of notifying that he had the same intentions of doing that to them, Nero happily ordered the employees who were guarding the entrance to welcome them inside. Before the Terrorists had a chance to cause any damage to the building, Hydranoid showed up at the entrance and warped them to the same battlefield they battled Nero in for the first time. Nero casually made his way down there to confront the Terrorists. He offered his gratitude of them coming to him instead of having to search for them and told them that the final steps of his plan will be to take them down.

As Nero began activating his BrawlX for the upcoming battle, he eyed each of his opponents to observe their visible animosity towards him for any possible reason why they would want to be that way. Daniel's new look sparked his interest and immediately caused him to say, "That is what happens when don't heed my warnings or follow my instructions. You get embarrassed in battle and force MY Bakugan to go through an extended recovery period based on your reckless usage of them. How do you even give a Bakugan your life force anyway?" Nero began with an angry tone. "My plan now has plenty of detrimental flaws in it thanks to your disobedience. You three were dumb enough back then to be thrown in prison, and you still are just as incompetent today when you allow the two most powerful brawlers for the Resistors evolve their Bakugan. That was why you three were under my tutelage because the only ones who do the thinking around here are my staff and I. You were worth less than an unpaid intern."

Nero began flipping a gate card with his fingers as he continued his rant. "Seal the exits," Nero commanded the staff currently monitoring the battlefield. All of the exits from the room were completely shut and unable to be accessed. The room was basically a cage where Nero now has ultimate control of who goes in and who comes out. He had the Terrorists right where he wanted them. He then tossed the gate card to the center of the field so it could expand. "You know what comes next, don't you?" Nero gripped his Hydranoid and threw him onto the battlefield. "Bakugan brawl! Hydranoid stand!" Hydranoid landed on the gate card and stood with a menacing roar that signaled his eagerness to feast on the enemy. "You've denied me my rightful order of operations for far too long, and you had the nerve to try and kill my daughter on more than one occasion. For those crimes, you three will burn," Nero declared.

[Akane Huomoto]

"Oh what, I'm some pawn now which you see with no thoughts, a mere puppet?!" Akane growls and Torahu in her beast form crouches alongside her, growling at Hydranoid, as her partner glares at Nero.

"There's just one reason why I help you, and because you seem to think I'm nothing more than a pawn to use in your chess game, I'll give you my input right here and right now! It's because humans are despicable. They steal! They murder! They betray one another! Such a disgusting kind. Their only virtue is that they die so easily!" Akane glances at Torahu, a certain look in her red eyes met the lightning blue ones of the flaming tiger as she nodded and reverted back to a more manageable form. 

"Humans are in need of some purification, or erasure." She grips Torahu in her right fist as she turns her attention to Hydranoid. "But if it's a fight you earn for... You leave us no choice. The option of walking away is obviously out of the equation." Then Akane tosses up Torahu in the air before launching her into brawl. "Bakugan Brawl! Torahu, let's show him we're more than pawns. And that he should some respect to us, even if it be a little, for we end up doing all the dirty work!" With that said, Torahu roars in agreement, her blue flames flaring up as she roared.

[Daniel Andersen]

Daniel activated his gauntlet and started listening to Nero's comments. As he was listening his eyes were turning red as well as his artificial vessels. Red aura started to form around his body showing the growth of evil he was carrying.
"Don't worry, Nero. I've been in hell more than anyone; I'm used to the burn. But if you're so confident you can throw me in hell then I guess I'll just have to take you with me...and when time comes even your employees will face the same fate, then your Hydranoid....and eventually, your precious little Karen" Daniel replied with an evil smile on his face as his aura was getting stronger and stronger with every second. Sakura jumped on his shoulder and awaited to be thrown-in.
"Consider that 'eye for eye, tooth for tooth' law. What goes around comes around. You and those like you should have think twice before enslaving a race and then turning it into a toy for your personal entertainment."
He grabbed Sakura and tossed her at the field. She emerged from the light and released a dark energy flow around the area which started to glitter. Sakura turned to Hydranoid and then angrily said: "Well, hello traitor of our kind."
Daniel looked at Nero and said: "I cannot believe how one person can kill his own race and force a Bakugan to kill both races. I don't even know why you care about Karen, then. When she gets in your path will you just kill her as everyone else who stood in your path? It seems that you don't have any problem with your own race getting killed; or Bakugans getting killed because of you...But I have a problem with that; big problem. As far as I'm concerned you can go on and kill your own goddamn race, but if you lay your hands on only one and even the weakest Bakugan...I will make sure YOU burn in hell"

[Makoto Nakashima]

"You think you own us? We are not your property. I will do what I want with my life and some maniac won't be there to control it. I don't care if you have more money or power than I do, but I won't take that crap from you." Makoto said and launched Ahrangi into the battle.
Ahrangi stood in its monster form and got in the fighting position.
"Let's get this over with" said Ahrangi as he started walking slowly towards Hydranoid.
"And you don't have to be worried about that so-called daughter of yours. I don't have intentions to kill someone who's not even worth killing. That double spy you call daughter betrayed you more than we did and yet we are the ones you intend to kill. "
Makoto didn't want to continue with the talk anymore, so he activated his gauntlet and awaited for Hydranoid to attack first. It was almost time to battle and he didn't want to miss the chance to destroy Hydranoid.

[Nero Bullock]

"One hates humans with a fiery passion, the other thinks that the ultimate evil in this world is me, and the third one has no goals as much as he lacks the words to express them," Nero said out loud. "Akane, the answer to your question is a definite yes. You have no future. The criminal justice system exists to rehabilitate, and it was clear that none of you could be fixed when I helped you escape. Your reasons for helping me never concerned me because I don't care about any of you. Your deaths will be a blessing to every citizen of this world when they figure out that the scum of the Earth is no longer among them. Why would you ever hurt humans because they're 'despicable'? Why does that even cause you to murder when anything they do has nothing to do with you? You are just as much of a human as everyone else...or are you?"

Nero suddenly realized part of the reason why Akane would ever have that thought in her head aside from the usual reasons of why some people are messed up in the head. "You three aren't from here, are you? Interesting. In that case, I definitely don't have to feel any remorse about dealing with you three," Nero stated. "You three are the most disgusting criminals and hypocrites I have ever seen. You accuse me of killing my own race when I haven't done anything of the sort. Nothing that either of you have ever done based on the assignments I have given you told you to kill anyone. Why do you think I tamed Belphenoid after he killed that young boy at Noland's school? Every injury and death that has occurred has been by your own free will, so how can you accuse me of treason when you've been hurting and killing people and Bakugan for the majority of your miserable life? And you dare give the impression you give a damn about any death?"

Nero then activated an ability on his BrawlX to viciously attack his opponents. "Ability activate! Chaos of the Darkness!" Hydranoid charged himself with dark lightning before unleashing a volley of blasts at all three of the Terrorist's Bakugan aggressively. His opponents were continuously battered by the powerful blasts as Hydranoid continued to fire towards them, showing them no mercy. "Oh. Excuse me. I didn't mind my manners. I forgot that you love to assume you know the full intentions of every person you encounter. You think you know who I am? Tell me. Why do you think I'm a mindless killer just like you are?" Nero said as the blasts kept hitting their mark.

[Daniel Andersen]

" There is no criminal that has superweapons like Hydranoid and Belphenoid that he doesn't want to use them to kill. Why would you hide like this, plan all these things and possess superweapons if you hadn't done something wrong in your past and you HAVE to hide or...you are planning to do something and no one is supposed to  find out. Your attitude, hiding, weaponry and plans I have seen suggest something fatal is being planned"Daniel replied to Nero before activating an ability that started glowing and flashing from his gauntlet in different colors. Sakura was wrapped up in dark-purple glittering dust that was soon spread over the battlefield. 
Then she looked at Hydranoid and yelled: "Deal with this! Golden Wall!"
She stroke the ground with her wand and created a huge, semitransparent golden cylinder which surrounded all three Terrorist Bakugans giving them protection against Hydranoid and launching back some of his attacks in form of dark-purple sharp particles which started stabbing Hydranoid.
"Your words would have so much more sense if you don't compare me to any human. I already told your precious little Karen and her boyfriend Noland the same thing, but they would not listen...You think I would be such a fool to kill my own race, Nero? The only reason why I'm here is because I am disgusted by how humans treat Bakugans as toys for their little games and I won't let that happen anymore."
He was observing intense battle for a couple of seconds; particles continued stabbing Hydranoid and exploding later. He looked disturbed somehow as he watched Hydranoid getting hurt; as he was actually feeling sorry for him.
"And the answer is...NO. I am not a human! I am disgusted that I am even considered as one. 'Daniel Andersen', just a label...name of the human who used to control this body. He was just an unfortunate child who was infused with my DNA by one of human doctors. And the result was...ME. Sometimes I talk about things such as my 'parents', thanks to Daniel's emotional breach through my mind proving that this person is still alive and trying to get control. Mixture of our mind caused me to work with you in the first place; I needed a shelter until I managed to take over completely. Reason I was able to power up Belphenoid with my life force seems a bit obvious now, isn't it?"

[Makoto Nakashima]

"It's easy to talk, Nero, isn't it? When you have money and power and a strong Bakugan it is easy to look down on others and justify your own flaws and sins. You underestimate everyone and everything just because you have all this. Would it be so easy if you had nothing?!" asked Makoto and activated an ability.
Ahrangi jumped high to pass Sakura's wall and reached Hydranoid in a few seconds using advantage of particles stabbing Hydranoid. When he reached him Makoto yelled: "Ability activate! Typhoon Punch!"
Ahrangi charged his left fist up and jump uppercutting Hydranoid and pushing him back a few inches.
After that Ahrangi pointed his fist towards Hydranoid and launched a horizontal tornado which pushed large dragon back even more. "You want more of this? I can do this all day. " Makoto yelled.
He then looked at Daniel and thought to himself: "Is he crazy or...I'd better not think about it"

[Akane Huomoto]

Akane sighs as she crosses her arms for a moment, "Well, I guess we'll attack too." She wasn't necessarily enjoying the fight against Nero and his Hydranoid, but it looks like it couldn't be avoided... "Ability Activate, Blazing Wind."

Torahu, a rather safe-ish distance away from Hydranoid, somewhere close to the edge where she wouldn't be caught out in the real fight, emits a ground shaking roar, summoning a gust of wind. But not any wind, but the winds of the blue flames... It still has wind in there, so Torahu wasn't too happy doing it, for she preferred simply fire-based abilities. It would have to do for now. The blue winds that the pyrus tiger summoned swept over Hydranoid, unknowing to Akane or Torahu if it did really any damage.  
 

[Nero Bullock]

Nero literally facepalmed at Makoto's statement and said,"Wasn't that what you three were doing out in the streets? You've got to be kidding me..." He then decided that the amount of assumptions being thrown his way has gone on far enough as it was now time for them to know the truth since they've seen so much of his operation already. "There would be plenty of people in higher authority than me who would disagree with your accusation, Daniel. Do you have any idea of who I really am? You want to know why I've been able to amass such power? You want to know what I plan to do with all of this?" Nero asked. He then uploaded an ability onto his BrawlX before he said anything about it and declared, "Ability activate! Auragano Revenge!" A purple aura consumed all three of the Terrorist's Bakugan and decreased their power levels while Hydranoid received a significant increase, allowing him to resist the effects of the Pyrus ability to a certain degree as he leaped back to his starting position and tortured his opponents with a stream of black lightning unleashed from his mouth.

"I am the one who serves in Vince Hardy's absence...the new director of the CIA," Nero revealed. "My role is being the leader of the gathering of various information that the president and other government officials seek that will allow us to adapt our national security policies for threats such as 9/11 and the second one. Vince warned us of the incoming invasion unlike the idiot who preceded him, and he even provided us a nice set of instructions for what to do after his disappearance. I won't give you all of the details of what has been given to us, but I'll just say that what is going on now is apart of his grand design and what this position and organization is designed to do. Our job is to inform the United States of anything about our enemies that will aid us, and that is exactly what we've done concerning the Bakugan. Two of the most catastrophic events in American history have been caused by those bastards and Vince has sought to remedy the problem, and I will finish it. He then pulled up a picture of Karen on his BrawlX and continued with his explanation. "We are instructed to deal with foreign matters, not domestic ones. For that reason, Karen has been kept here for that purpose. She acquainted herself with six of the most dangerous brawlers in the entire country and analyzed who they fought against, which was you three, strategically deployed by me for everyone in this country to see. Once you three came back into the picture, you've removed all doubt about what needs to implemented to keep this country safe. And you might ask what that certain thing is."

Nero gave a slight evil smirk upon getting ready to reveal the rest of his plan. "It is the removal of all Bakugan whether through annihilation or expunging. That is where the Pack comes in. Although I can't reveal their origin to you just yet, you three have made them participate in enough battles to gather enough battle energy to not only power themselves up far beyond anything you could ever compare to, but they could summon armies large enough to make that vision possible. So in a way, not only was Daniel correct that the government keeps information hidden, but you three just orchestrated the action that you were attempting to prevent. In the next twenty four hours, the removal process will begin, and anyone who decides to resist shall be either removed or executed for treason in accordance to the decree the President has set himself even though it will likely get him impeached, but sacrifices must be made to ensure the protection of the human race regardless of jobs being placed at risk."

[Daniel Andersen]

When Daniel heard that Nero and other authorities of the CIA were planning to make a complete extermination of Bakugan race his eyes started burning in crimson. He was able to keep his cool in many situations, but this was crossing the line and he simply couldn't take it anymore.
He was not yelling, but his tone diabolically changed completely erasing his human tone.
"CIA? Invasion?! You bastards...you...you are disease. You all are disease! Like it's not enough that you kill each other you now have to kill Bakugan?! You first turn them into slaves; into toys for you pleasure of fighting and then...they give you their trust and you.....bastards. I knew it from the very beginning; I tried to warn the others not to make contact with you, but they wouldn't listen...This proves my point..."
Then he pulled out a card and put it in the gauntlet opening. Gauntlet flashed in dark-purple color while dark mist started surrounding Sakura. She started screaming in rage and soon a horrific change happened. Daniel's crimson aura combined and fused with Sakura's dark-purple aura creating a new aura that continued to grow. It showed rage of both of them. This protected Sakura from Hydranoid's attack.
Sakura turned to Nero and pointed at Daniel: "All this time I've been returning my debts to HIM. I was sure he was wrong about killing you humans, but THIS...this proves me wrong. (looks at Hydranoid) And YOU! How can you just stand here and watch this all happen?! Bakugans are your race as well...For what you do you will pay with your life!"
Daniel then yelled: "Come on, Sakura! Chains of Convertion!"
Suddenly, dark-purple matter around Sakura transformed into black, diamond chains. Some chains also emerged from the ground and binded Hydranoid's legs and hands while chains Sakura held were thrown to bind Hydranoid's body and head. As he was binded energy was sapped from him very quickly to Sakura's body. This quickly drained enough energy to make Hydranoid's attacks almost completely ineffective against Torahu and Ahrangi. Daniel was not intending to stop there. "Ability activate! Dead Rising!"
Sakura stroke the ground and created a portal. Suddenly, horde of zombified Bakugan revealed themselves around Hydranoid and they had surprisingly high power. Daniel was not going to let Nero or Hydranoid get away with their intentions, so he activated this deadly combination of abilities weakening Hydranoid and letting him be devoured to death by zombies.
Horde hurled at Hydranoid and started slashing, stabbing and bitting him like crazy while Sakura prepared for the next attack. 

[Makoto Nakashima]

"You want to kill us?!" Ahrangi yelled in rage and confusion as he simply couldn't understand the motive of such treatment to Bakugans in general. He understood that there were reasons to kill HIM since he was a Bakugan of a Terrorist, but couldn't understand why even peaceful Bakugans would be treated such why.
Makoto didn't know how to react, so he laughed. He didn't even know why he laughed, but couldn't keep himself from doing so. "You must be crazy. You will then have to eliminate half of the population as well; you think that all people and Bakugans will just let you do what you planned? Not even your Hydranoid and the Pack could go against the whole world; especially with Hardy and Silva in the picture."
Makoto pulled out a card and activated it. "If you don't manage as CIA director, Nero, don't worry. You can do better as a comedian. Ability, activate! Drill Punch!"
Ahrangi rushed at Hydranoid and started of with similar tactic; by making a jump. Then he pointed his arms that his body is like an arrow. He started spinning and creating a tornado-drill.
In a few seconds he hit Hydranoid in the chest pushing him further back and did some collateral damage on the battlefield.

[Akane Huomoto]

"Six most dangerous brawlers huh? So those six were posing as some type of threat then?" Akane asks herself as she pulls out her next card to play. "They were fairly strong, but didn't seem like some type of threat you would deem dangerous... Unless you're referring to someone else, but I don't really see anyone else would could fit the agenda. Anyways, Ability Activate, Blue Ignition."

Torahu once again summons her infamous blue flames engulfs Hydraniod in a cage of blue fire briefly before disappearing, leaving no damage at all. It just merely allowed the pyrus tiger to obtain any status attachments that Hydraniod would have, not to much of a problem maybe? Alongside that, she had a small power boost but remained at the side of the main battle, still not wanting to get caught up in the main destruction.

[Nero Bullock]

"If you were sure he was wrong about killing humans, then why did YOU do it? Don't be mistaken for a second, Sakura. You were most definitely in the wrong for not thinking for yourself and sparing the numerous people and Bakugan that you've mercilessly destroyed for his own personal gain," Nero rebutted. "You've lost all credibility in your statements the moment you arrived here and began treating us any way you pleased. You three came to our planet and slaughtered thousands of people who have lived innocent lives that were undeserving of the vile treatment that you've given them, but according to you, it's justified simply because you have a motive for doing so, yet I'm the disease? You said that the reason why you murder our people is because you simply don't like how they act towards Bakugan, but according to Makoto, I'm the one who looks down on others due to the power I have when all you three are doing is using yours to instill fear, yet I'm the disease. Akane says that the reason why she has no remorse in hurting humans is because they're despicable and are in need of either purification or erasure, so she decides to aid you in your destructive endeavors to cause genocide to the humans regardless of the fact that many good citizens meet their end by your hand, yet I'm the disease. When a citizen who is tasked with making sure this country is protected has had enough of your bullshit and acquires the power to exact revenge on the Bakugan for even having the audacity to lay a finger on us while they were unprovoked, I'm suddenly the bad guy for desiring to avenge my fallen brothers and sisters who were victims of your relentless killing spree. I have had enough. The government has had enough. The citizens of the United States of America have had enough."

Nero then activated an ability in response to the multiple attacks that have been used against him. "Ability activate! Gravity Chamber!" Hydranoid became surrounded in a large, purple orb that began to spin rapidly, creating a gravitational pull that pulled every single enemy towards him. He easily defeated multiple attackers using this method and absorbed their power, allowing him to transfer it to his body to heal multiple wounds that he has received from the onslaught. "I would have given you a proper answer to your question, Sakura, but as a killer of Bakugan yourself, are you truly worthy of even hearing it?" Hydranoid countered. "You should at least get one thing straight. I'm not going to stand here and watch it happen. I'm going to be the one to make sure it happens. Maybe once we lay waste to a few Bakugan, you'll finally know how it feels when someone kills those of your own race since you feel so strongly about the humans' need for death." Nero laughed a little as Sakura, Ahrangi, and Torahu were being pulled towards Hydranoid as a result of Gravity Chamber. Once they made contact with Hydranoid, they viciously flew backwards into the walls, completely sapped of their power and left severely damaged by the massive energy burst. As his opponents were seemingly left there to rot, Nero began to say, "So tell me, Daniel. Who are these 'others'? Where do you come from? I think I'll stop by and give them my regards in the same manner you did for us."

[Daniel Andersen]

"I don't kill because I don't like your ways of acting. I do it to STOP you from doing it even more. I tried to do it peaceful way, but your race couldn't accept Bakugan free and going back to their homes; they want control over Bakugans. They tried to kill me for my trying, so I had to accept the game; kill or be killed."
Sakura, Torahu and Ahrangi were being pushed back by Hydranoid's new technique. It was a real pain because Sakura couldn't resist despite her Chains of Convertion. She was getting some serious damage there, but she caught her breath to speak. "I...return my debt...to him...That is why I kill...that debt worths more than a few hundred humans...and with your intention, Nero...you reveal me that it worths all human lives; since you all are worthless bastards"
As she said that Hydranoid made a powerful push blasting three Terrorist Bakugans in the wall.
None of them was able to move due to high damage they received. Daniel realized that Nero was using more powerful abilities with every move, so he couldn't afford losing the opportunity to fight back. "Sakura, stand the hell up!" he yelled to Sakura who was still lying near a wall.
She used her wand as a support to rise, but barely. She was so powerless that she had to support herself using the wand. "Ugh...easy for you...to say..."
"Nero, I had no other choice, but to kill. It was not the first option, but despite how many times I tried your race didn't let me do anything peaceful way. 'Others' I mentioned WERE Bakugans before coming to your world. I advised them not to come here; if they listened these problems wouldn't be in our hands, Nero. We would all live normal lives, but no...Idiots didn't listen and now I have to bring them back to Vestroia...Some of them want to kill me despite I want to help them...quite sad, but I cannot let them stop me from saving those who want freedom. That is why I must do what I do..."
Daniel then turned to Makoto and Akane and gave them a strict look. He was showing signs of mistrust on this battle. There was a huge possibility of defeat and that was not the worst part.
He then uploaded an Ability and said quietly: "Ability....activate! Burning Blue!"
Sakura was shrouded in blue flames similar to ones Torahu uses. Most wounds were healed, but not completely. She then emerged from the fire and launched a wave of blue fire which wrapped Hydranoid. It started igniting as hell, but Sakura was still not strong enough alone, so she called: "Hey, Torahu and Ahrangi. Mind giving me a hand?"
