He/she noticed that Dante had used an ability that would make an attempt to wear down Hades gradually and wasn't very happy about it. The effectiveness wasn't the issue here. The problem was that his/her opponent could either be severely underestimating him/her or intentionally trolling, whether it was through holding back or wanting to burn even more time. Hades purposely picking at its body while the bursts were going off made the experience even more cringe-worthy.
"Under normal circumstances, I'd find what you just did funny, but all you're really doing is pissing me off. If you came after me to annoy me, then you're really good at your job," he/she declared. Another card on the BakuMeter was loaded up, ready to fire on command. "Ability activate! S.H.R.E.D.D.E.R." Hades unlocked a sizable canister - in terms of width - that contained numerous, smaller heads of Hades. Needless to say, the dogs were let out.
Thanks to Xavier giving it the ability to detach its heads, that's exactly what this ability did: released many Hades heads to act as autonomous players on the field. Whether it was by ramming Dante from any direction or blasting him outside of his field of vision, they did what they had to do, and they did it extremely quickly, faster than Hades could move through the air itself.
Hades then came off of the ground and joined its miniature "children" in the air, just to make itself more capable of handling Dante should he come any closer. "If you're going to stop me, then fight like you're going to; otherwise, I'll be on my way."

This attack masked person pulled was one of the oldest tricks in the book; when direct approach is not so good the use multi-directional attack to hit the enemy from all sides and make him unable to avoid large portions of damage coming from every direction. Dante recalls this move from many past experiences in Washington; swarms of Robotallions and Serpenoids attacking from every direction at incredible speed. Nasty tactic, no doubts. However, not flawless. Especially, when these little things were not as heavy as their mechanical daddy.
"Miracle Shining Wind". Alex said and then took a card with a color a lot different than of other two cards he played; it was colored in blue and nearly transparent for some reason. Like it was made of ocean-blue glass. Anyway, Miracle Shining Wind was a Special Ability that was used many times by Alex and Dante. It was an annoying ability when opponent thought outnumbering or mass-frontal attacks would help them win the fight. If it was just a single-strike attack it would be completely useless even against a simple Serpenoid. No matter how it sounds, this ability had nothing to do with Ventus. It was Clear-Attributed energy that was being continuously produced by Dante inside his body and then launched from his body to form a wind completely manufactured of Clear energy. However, it was not a breeze. It was a hurricane of energy.
It could be used in different ways. One of them was a blast towards all enemies in case they were in front, but since masked person decided to send heads all around Dante he was going to use this in a different way. Vacuum tornado.
For this trick Dante's lance and shield flashed disappearing from his hands. Then he put his palms together and as he slowly separated them a glowing orb was formed between them. Dante made the orb a little bigger and then forcefully soared in the air throwing the orb and hitting the ground with it. Once orb hit the ground it exploded and massive amount of energy was released in what seemed like a twister of Clear shining energy. Multiple heads that were launched at Dante were not as heavy as Hades, so they were easily sucked inside the tornado and they could not resist it. Dante was casually standing on the top of that tornado with his arms crossed and then he jumped off reaching the middle part of that tornado.
He spread the palm of his right hand and launched another good river of Clear energy at the tornado breaking it and then blasted all of those tiny heads right back at Hades. Since there were still funny ticks of his previous ability, Absolute Lance, additional impacts of metallic objects was going to make fine fireworks. Once those heads (God knows how many of them) hit Hades reaction from the previous ability was made and heads exploded like grenades forcing Hades to move 5-6 meters back to keep his own balance. He managed to get his balance back, but he also got a valuable lesson about sending minions at Dante.
Dante's lance and shield appeared again in a flash and he looked at the performance mechanical Bakugan did so far. "I don't see why you are annoyed. You started it and can't bear the consequences?" Dante inquired when heard that comment from the masked person. He also added: "I am not fighting you. This is called warming up. I'll ring a bell when I'm done." Dante replied to the comment masked person was making regarding why Alex and Dante were not using full power yet.
"...Another weapon of mass-destruction. They never get tired of them, do they? Disgusting." Alex thought to himself, but did not feel the need to enter the conversation with an opponent, so he decided to remain silent.

"I'm sure a man of your standing would know the pain of having deterrence as a consequence knowing that the person in front of you is not worth your time," the masked person person. "In that regard, there are consequences when warming up is done incorrectly. When you do too little of it, what do you think happens?"
The black markings along Hades's six wings retracted to reveal a plethora of small-sized barrels. They shot a tether-like electrical substance that latched onto Dante, refusing to let him move an inch. "You'll crash and burn," he/she revealed. Energy was rapidly siphoned from Hades to Dante, which was definitely not a good thing. The never-ending cycle of energy bursts that they thought would be effective was transferred to Dante via the energy current, passing that ailment onto him instead, the better place for an attack like that. Dante was then forcefully slammed into the ground.
"Lash and Bash Extreme is an ability Hades can hit you with just by looking at you; it happens that fast. All of that energy you trolled us with is now being used against you. Whether your Bakugan can resist it or not is not my problem. I don't really care honestly. I'd just wish you take a hint and leave." Hades picked Dante back up and threw him out into the sky, followed by a combined laser blast from all three heads for good luck.

"Keep them coming!!" Dante shouted at the masked person.
"Crystal Shield." Alex said and then took an ability card similar to the last one to color, but was not transparent as the last one. Gauntlet opened and he placed that ability card triggering an ability completely appropriate for their situation. Dante's shield was one thing of his all equipment that was the toughest. The problem for enemies was not that it could defend Dante properly. The problem was when Alex decides to use it as a weapon instead. Dante's shield gained such textures that it practically looked like a large crystal and not a shield anymore.
Thanks to the fact Hades launched his lasers towards Dante it could be used against him just as Hades did with Dante's attack. Lasers hit the shield detonated turning themselves into waves of energy that were now pulsing back to the direction they came from; towards Hades. His entire body was exposed to those waves and ground below him started to shatter crazily under such pressure. "As for this..." Dante said while still being in mid-air from Hades's throw.
"...you can forget about it..." Blue Haos energy Dante previously used was used against him. Blue energy was drawn from his body into the shield as a part of Crystal Shield ability. Once it was drawn there it all exploded at once in one burst and turned into energy waves similar to those created thanks to Hades's lasers. Those waves were also sent at Hades repeating the same effect from before; continuous blue Haos bursts on his metallic body surface. Since Dante's shield was not made of metal energy from blue Haos did not remain on it to continue on bursts. However, Hades was having a fine gift of annoyance from the same ailment being transferred to him all over and over.
"Are you disappointed police was not here to fight you, Joker? For your information, I can do this all day long." Dante said to the masked person. He was not getting tired yet. He definitely felt much harder hits than those in the past.
Alex just continued to ignore what Dante and masked person were saying. As far as he was concerned he was not giving a single damn about their conversation. Attacks that person was using sure were nasty, but not anything different than many attacks he had seen before. Detachable parts, laser guns, ailment reflection.
All of Alex's will to comment on things that were happening before him disappeared as soon as he laid his eyes on his opponent and that metal Bakugan. Words that were coming to his mind were not worth saying to such mind as of that person. Alex just quietly sighed started scratching his nose.

The masked person shook his/her head at Alex's moves. This fight was really getting them nowhere. "Good for you," he/she sarcastically said about Dante's unwillingness to back off. "The only thing more disappointing than how boring you are as a fighter is your intelligence. My mask doesn't have an effect on your ears; you should have used them better."
Referencing what he/she said when Alex asked what his/her story was, "I vaguely mentioned that I am the reason why numerous Vestals are dead right now, and I also told you that I had something to tell the CIA. If you put those together, even you could deduce that I'm actually digging you out of a grave you've already dug." He/she looked at Hades to make a point. "After all, this Hades, the one you can't even damage, is a product of Earth's stupidity, and it's JUST A PROTOTYPE."
On the BakuMeter was a different colored ability - purple layered to be exact - that was something more powerful, definitely enough to be considered a weapon of mass destruction. "But I know you're too stubborn to take my word for it, so I'll just have to show you how serious I am about this and how it's not to be taken lightly. You may think you're strong enough to play around with this thing, but here's a newsflash for you." Hades's saw blades on his chest converted to elongated barrels, apparently ready to fire something large. "You're weaker than you think."

Meanwhile...
Krakix and Siege were considering going after Hades once it fled again, but it sounded like the woman in front of them was put in charge of dispatching them by the one who nullified Siege's Tsunami Wave. Knowing they would have to get past her to get to Hades, Krakix and Siege gave each other a nod. That represented their eagerness to work alongside each other once more, even if they were the ones painted evil because of the Hurranians.
Krakix made his signature combat roar; however, this one was much different. Not only did it shatter every window of all nearby buildings and vehicles, but it also cracked the ground. This was because he had used the power of Asmodeus, specifically Hypersonic Blast, to produce a sound wave capable of producing a force that can crush anyone in the vicinity.
Siege jabbed the ground with his lance to create five ice clones of himself. They were later sculpted into everyone's favorite: the Pack. It consisted of one Belphenoid, two Asmodeus, and two Abbadon. The five of them ran forward while activating an icy version of one of their signature moves: Evil Multiplication. Clones of the Pack started stepping out of the frozen constructs, becoming copies of their respective Bakugan. They all pounced on the enemy from different angles, whether it was from the top, bottom, left, or right. Krakix and Siege stayed back in observance, getting their own bodies ready to enter the fight truthfully.

Angelight/Devillin's orb vanished and soon a young woman with long silver hair and wearing a suit came to Lydia's aid. It was this Bakugan's real standby form while the orb form was a fake (spy) that was used mainly for observation from afar. It appeared that Devillin was enjoying an ice cream and used this to mock Dante and Alex without the need to really come there and get a risk of being thrown into a trash can by Dante. This human form could easily be used to trick anyone since it was not emitting any Bakugan life force. Once Dante stopped Siege's attack this human form flashed revealing Angelight; the light side of this dual Bakugan.
Lydia activated her laptop. She was not fond of gauntlets; she hated them. She was able to improve her brawling skills using the laptop. She had one tiny weakness with brawls; she hated those as well. Just seeing one and not participating would make her feel a little painful in the stomach, but participating was a little issue. However, she won many fights even with this problem of hers. "Time Reverse!" Lydia said and clicked a button on her laptop.
Unlike with gauntlet-users she could 'Download Abilities' or 'Craft Abilities' which was her talent in brawls. This way she could create an ability and use it in the middle of a fight or download existing abilities via network. Time Reverse was listed in her favorites and all it took to activate it was a click of a button. Ability that targets the user Bakugan reversing a certain characteristic or quality.
She targeted herself to nullify...no, not heal, but nullify her damage. Time reversal work as damage never happened and no matter how powerful strikes were they were not as effective as these two Bakugans planned them to be. Suddenly, Angelight's body flashed and dark purple energy emerged revealing a female Devil Bakugan now instead of an angel. This was a more offensive form.
"Zero Existence." Lydia pressed another button triggering this ability. Devillin flapped her wings creating a storm of darkness that caught both Bakugans and those copies that were formed into Pack. Effect of this ability, except for lots of damage, was an existence-eraser. It would completely erase something from existence as long as it was not a living being. Since Pack here was only a product of cloning ability card they all vanished. Plus, this pushed Siege and Krakix into each other and then into the ground.
"What cute little critters. Are you having fun?" Devilin giggled. She was very different than Angelight. More dark. More violent. Opposite of Lydia, too, but surprisingly strong.

Krakix and Siege were not very pleased that their foe had managed to survive through the use of extraordinary powers, strength they never came by before. They have been out of the loop for a while, but they know a challenge when they see one. That was okay though because they were extraordinary themselves. They had the ability to combat nearly any foe and had the Hurranians on their side to give them ideal strength from other infected species. It was the perfect combination, one they refused to let get beaten as they returned to their feet.
Siege dove underneath them all using Dive Mirage, making him able to reappear wherever he wanted whenever he wanted. For his own defense, Krakix used his Bushido Shield preemptively to make sure he was guarded in case another surprise comes up. A vigorous flame surrounded him in unison with an aura-like flame encasing it. This was because of Belphenoid's Gehenna Crimson Striker and Abbadon's Dragon Breath, which would make Krakix's every step cause a massive fire - one that he's immune to - and has boosted physical parameters.
Siege would occasionally rise up from the ground and use Subzero Crash to jab upwards, freezing anything in the vicinity. All that would leave is Krakix jumping in to break what's left with his overpowering strength. This was their attack pattern when attacking Devilin: Siege surfaces to freeze the area Devilin is in, and then Krakix will smash her to pieces.

"He-he-he..." Devilin giggled seeing all that effort for attacks to be made was about to be in vain. Lydia observed those two Bakugans' attacks and it effort put into them was surely something to be reckoned with. However, even the strongest attack meant nothing if it couldn't hit its target. "Okikaeru!" Lydia shouted and pressed a button on her laptop. Laptop signaled an activation of this ability and it was another of her 'distortion'-class abilities. Not only that Lydia's Bakugan could distort time and existence of things, but also the space itself. For this ability Devilin turned her back to two opponents while singing something that seemed like a very creepy lullaby.
Energy of darkness she produced caused her to distort her space and Krakix's space. Distortions switched places switching locations of Devilin and Krakix as well. Krakix appeared on Devilin's spot right before Siege was about to freeze her. Results of this ended uncomfortably for both Bakugans. Devilin purposely turned her back before, so Krakix would get confused and couldn't dodge or block that attack giving Devilin another unfair advantage against the two.
"Fushoku Wing." Lydia said activating yet another ability via her laptop. Since both enemies had their backs turned on Devilin she really had a good opportunity for a back-attack. She quickly started flapping her wings releasing black wing from them and soon that wind caught both Bakugans inside it. Since those two were armored Bakugans this ability had a very nasty effect. Except for dealing extra damage it created corrosion on bodies of those two Bakugans; corrosion colored completely in black. It was burning their metal armors and corroding their skin that was exposed to this attack. And since they were caught up in it their movements were highly reduced.
"Trolled." Devillin mockingly shouted and in manner of mockery showed them her tongue as they were struggling with the corrosion.

The other masked individual approached the scene with Krakix and Siege in a stalemate with a girl and her Bakugan. The word "stalemate" was used to describe how much trouble they weren't in despite the situation looking to say the opposite.
"Aw, poor things. You know, you really shouldn't be teasing them. They're only trying to learn. It has been over three hundred years," he/she explained. Having become accustomed to the pain on his/her arm, he/she had his/her hands out, apparently wanting Krakix and Siege to come. They followed the instruction without delay. They used the Pack's regenerative abilities to easily restore their condition back to 100%, completely disregarding the effects of those used by their opponent. "I don't intend to be mean, but you would be steamrolled in your condition if they were in total control. The Hurranians are their main intelligence, and they've been trying to recover after being dormant for so long. That's why they're here so often. They're a lot of strong brawlers here, so it's convenient for them to learn from you."
Getting to the point, "I'd like to ask you for a favor. There should have been a masked person - the one that's not me - that came across here recently with a mechanical Bakugan named Hades. Have you seen it, and if so, where have they gone? Whoever is with it must be destroyed."
An earth-shattering explosion occurred off in the distance. Rising up from the ground was a pile of purple smoke that actually formed a mushroom cloud high above the clouds. "There it goes." He/she hopped aboard Krakix's shoulder. He and Siege took off together, running right through Devilin without caring what she does from there.

"Huh...?" Lydia sighed as she looked at another masked person passing by. This time it was a different mask and behavior (certainly not as insane as of the first person). This person inquired about mechanical Bakugan and the first masked person, but soon located them and went with two Bakugans there to chase after that person. It seemed like they were not getting along.
Devillin switched out with Angelight because of difference in their movement speed. Angelight picked Lydia up and chased towards two Bakugans. Since she was holding Lydia she could not perform any attacks that required her to use hands.
"What do you make of THIS?" Angelight inquired, but it looked more like a rhetorical question filled with annoyance towards the whole situation.
Lydia was trying to brainstorm ideas on what was happening and why it was happening. Two masked people. One with a mechanical Bakugan and acting insane. Another with two rampaging Bakugans chasing after the first person seeking that person's destruction. Too little information, but Lydia looked at Krakix with some sort of curiosity. She felt like she have seen that Bakugan before, but was not sure.
"There is an ominous smell around both of them...I don't know why, but it is there." Lydia said in a worrisome tone thinking about what could have happened if they hadn't intervened and stopped those two from rampaging. However, now that they were on the run Lydia and Angelight had to follow them to stop possible accidents from happening.

The area was smothered in purple smoke. It sure didn't make the area any prettier than it wasn't. Fortunately for them all, the ability wasn't a nuclear weapon, but it sure looked like it caused some type of fallout effect. The air around them was a tad bit purple. This was definitely a product of one of the disadvantages Xavier told his scientists that needed to be fixed; the aftermath of this attack sure wasn't good to look at. "This does use too much energy..." he/she realized. "A whopping thirty-second cooldown is needed to recharge? Good grief..."
He/she didn't need to worry about that for now. The smoke began to clear, showing their opponents alive and well, but in a serious mishap. They were both on the ground, glowing in a bright color. There was a gigantic power surge, but it didn't look like they were in any condition to use it. "That one must have rang the bell for you."
He/she looked at the opposition to see if they would pose a threat any longer and to watch his/her back considering that Hades needed about twenty more seconds before it re-activated. Once five seconds were left, he/she was about to move. "You two want to know something cool, or maybe really terrible from your point of view? That's only one of Hades's high powered attacks of that scale, and it's the weakest." Hades re-activated. It covered its barrels back into saw-blades, opened its mouth, and was prepared to wipe both Alex and Dante off of the planet. "Is that all you have for me, gentlemen? Can I go about my business now?"

"...We are not done here...not closely..." Alex said in a menacing tone. He then dragged out another ability card, but then Dante interrupted him. "...Ghh...I guess fighting him in normal form was too much of an expectation...I need to switch forms...Fast..." Dante said while trying to get up with a little help of his lance.
"Not that again...Hmph...fine, whatever." Alex said angrily at the fact he had to switch Dante's forms. At that point choosing not to switch them would gradually wear Dante's health down, so switching forms was a reasonable option. He put the card back inside his gauntlet and dragged out another card which was oddly colored. It was a completely white card with a red ruby implanted right in the middle of it. Ruby emitted amazing red glow before it was even put in the gauntlet. Alex swiftly put it inside the gauntlet triggering a way more powerful blast of energy from that ruby. Entire gauntlet started glowing red, then Dante's entire body. It was flashing in red color and force was creating cracks in the ground around them while menacing win was pushing everything away from Dante.
"Light sent by God, that lies on path of mankind, that devours darkness and brings us salvation. I summon thee to purify, to save, to destroy! Rise from you deep slumber and bring destruction upon the evil before us!" Alex shouted revealing the ancient Knight code of Silver Knights which was required as one of two keys of activating ancient 'Dragon Prince' Mode or 'Valiant Strive' as it was originally named. Alex's gauntlet changed shape cladding his right arm completely in metal that resembled a piece of armor. It did not have any slot for cards suggesting they were activating through speech.
"Dante 'The Valiant Strive' Mode, Access Granted! Activate!" Alex shouted triggering red flames showering Dante and creating orb of fire around his body. That orb rose high in the sky releasing overheated steam and flaming rain at entire area and even Hades and masked person. Finally, his new form was revealed. Dragon-like massive Bakugan that was at least 1,5 times bigger than Hades and had significantly huge mass and firepower ready in its arsenal. Dragon screeched wrathfully at his opponents and due to his appearance weather shifted; suddenly dark clouds appeared and thunderstorm started.
Dragon landed not too far from Alex and landing caused ground to break everywhere around No Man's Land. "Ability Unlock! Valiant Art: Reality Shredder!" This ability had no card, but large gauntlet flashed. However, dragon form of Dante did not seem to be doing anything at that point. Alex was surprised as that was the first time happening with Valiant Strive.
"Status ailment recognized. Ability delay function: 55 seconds." Voice from the gauntlet informed Alex about what was going to happen after 55 seconds. Thanks to massive damage Hades did to Dante's normal form it caused a deadly status ailment that could delay opponent's abilities and probably even gates. Alex could not know about the gates since he never placed one. Dante needed 55 seconds to attack Hades. However, that was enough time for Alex considering Reality Shredder is powerful enough to break through mountains without a precise hit.
"Well, isn't this interesting? I'd suggest you try to leave for your business as soon as possible...Once 55 seconds pass both you and me might be lying in our grave when Reality Shredder is fired. Don't bother firing those cute attacks that are supposedly stronger. You'll just waste your energy; Dante's skin now is made of Chrome Fusion Diamond material. You might be able to break it though...in case your toy is packing a few nuclear warheads..." Alex said while waiting for the timer to come down and fire Reality Shredder. Whether this person decided to go or attack it did not matter at that point.

This masked person arrived at "No Man's Land" by following the trail of smoke left behind by Hades's attack. At long last, he/she finally came mask to mask with the other mysterious person. Aside from the threat Hades posed, the abomination the knight transformed into was quite devastating. "I suggest you take your washed Bakugan to the side before you die. It is not a matter of 'might' being able to break your Bakugan; it's a definite 'will.' The firepower contained in that Hades is beyond this planet's weaponry," he/she warned as Krakix and Siege walked up to inspect this so-called Valiant Strive upgrade.
"I do think it will benefit you in the long run if you de-activate this transformation immediately. This one over there is highly evasive. Whoever it is will use Hades's pre-equipped dimensional transporter to leave the area entirely before you ever get a chance to hit them with your attack, making all of what you just did useless. You're only killing yourself, but it's up to you whether you take that seriously or not. I'm just trying to prevent a useless death." He/she activated a BakuMeter, prompting Krakix and Siege to enter the battle.
"I've no words to say to you except for 'die,'" he/she said. "Bushido Seal and Universal Element, activate!" Krakix roared very loudly as he put his left foot out in front him, cracking the ground just by the sheer force of his growing power. He took both hilts from his hips, combined the two, and then powered his blade on. The pulse energy that erupted from it was unstable at first, but quickly stabilized into a frightening blade that has the potential to have its deadly swings decapitate even the most armored foes.
A circle surrounded Siege and bathed him in a bright, rainbow light. A silhouette representation of Siege from each attribute entered into his consciousness, effectively making him a Dextra Bakugan on demand. His color scheme reflected this condition by coloring him in a rainbow.
Both empowered by their forms, Krakix and Siege approached Hades, careful of what the machine might do next.

"What in the....?" Angelight gasped while looking at the devastated battlefield. She noticed Valiant Strive preparing to launch his dimension-cutting attacking while masked person she and Lydia were chasing attacked the other masked person. They landed not too far from the battlefield with no intention to approach two masked individuals fighting each other.
Lydia was aware of power of Hades seeing that much destruction around, but that was not all this thing was hiding. However, Alex's decision on using Reality Shredder was not smart at that moment. Considering they were on No Man's Land that attack could possibly awake remaining pieces of the Pack...if there was any left. Lydia put a command into her laptop triggering Angelight's ability.
"Absolute Hour!" Ability similar to Alex's Absolute-class cards. These abilities were devised long time ago for Bakugans of holy class like Dante and Angelight. It was thanks to Daniel's Kuzuha that Angelight learned this ability and was allowed to use it. Effect of Absolute Hour; one trait target possessed was made into a permanent trait unless ability was deactivated or negated. Angelight's wings started shining covering Dante's body and affecting his ability that was running a 55-second count. That count's time was stopped blocking Alex's ability from activating.
That move obviously surprised Alex who did not expect Lydia to stop his attack. "Idiot! Are you trying to kill yourself?!" Lydia shouted at Alex angrily. "This is the fourth time you are using Valiant this week...at this rate your health will drop..." She complained to Alex whose overuse of Valiant due to terrible circumstances in Washington might lead him to the world of pain. "Time Set!" Another ability was activated through Lydia's laptop.
Angelight's wings started shining in golden light covering Dante's body. After a few seconds his Valiant Strive mode was deactivated and Dante turned back to his original form. Even though his armor did not crack he was obviously injured under all that pressure. Angelight's wings continued to shine bringing Dante's physical state to a more positive condition. Nature of this ability was to turn back target's time to somewhere in the past, but it was very limited in the range of use. It could only reset it to a few minutes and since Alex had been fighting for far longer many Dante's injuries still remained.
"What's with you...?" Lydia began saying slowly in a worrisome tone. "You're always getting yourself in trouble...Please, stop it..." She was worried that Alex might get hurt with what he was doing. Unlike with other Silver Knights with his ability of transformation he was the only one receiving a painful punishment afterwards. She could not stand watching him in that state anymore. Angelight triggered her healing skill with wings recovering Dante gradually while observing the fight in case they had to do something.
