Dasia was wondering when Xavier was going to figure out what Dryoid's hidden power was. It looked like he chose the armor set that supports consecutive fusion ability usage. That can only mean one thing: Dasia would have to adapt her fighting style to the armor she sees since she knows what each of them do.
"Ability activate! Element Glow!" This was a dangerous adaption of Siege's Universal Element. It allows the wielder to shape its energy into a weapon suitable for the application of a certain attribute, akin to that of Skystar's Seraph Form being capable of this exact function.
A digital imprint of a scepter formed in Boriates' right hand until it became solid. Once it came into existence physically, it pointed the staff directly at Dryoid so a river of golden flames could be summoned to engulf the warrior. Based on what this substance was capable of doing earlier in the battle, this application needed no explanation.

Dryoid looked at the stream of flames heading towards them all, and it certainly wasn't thrilled to see it. The effects they have on the victim is just downright disgusting. One could only think what kind of nasty application exists with the other attributes.
"Go, Dryoid! Ability activate! Murasame Blade!" Dryoid grabbed a hilt off of his right hip and activated it, an energy sword protruding from it. Concentrated Subterra energy was the basis of this weapon. It uses the sheer power of the Subterra attribute to craft a sword capable of piercing even the sturdiest of walls.
Rather than attempt to cut through the flames - knowing that doing so would render the blade useless, especially in large concentrations such as the one heading for it - Dryoid used many advanced jumps and flips to maneuver its way through the combat zone without coming into contact with these flames. When it got to Boriates, it prepared to take a swing, making it clear what it's intentions were.

Boriates quickly assumed a defensive stance with its scepter. With the aid of the Custom Battle Ability, Boriates was easily able to keep up with Dryoid's strikes. It blocked the sword using the scepter.
"Ah. I see Gladion's movement is proving to be a good asset for Dryoid. I'm proud of that," Dasia celebrated. "I'm wondering how good Gorem's data will be in a few minutes. I doubt you'll be able to make use of Gladion's abilities in a few seconds, so I'll have a suitable test dummy to test those capabilities."
A surge of energy was seen coming from the hilt of the staff. It was bluish in color, showing that it was the Aquos attribute being used. In a flash of light, a frozen wave was unleashed upon the field that froze both Boriates and Dryoid. Unlike the latter, the ice encasing Boriates melted instantly, allowing it to take a jab at the frozen Dryoid and destroy it automatically.

"So as long as Boriates has that staff, it could use any attribute it wants on demand, without any recharge? Interesting," Xavier quickly deduced. He recognized it to be similar to Skystar's Seraph Form. The usage was inferior to Skystar's on account of there not being a spirit aiding Boriates, but it was still effective.
It was interesting how this could be one good example of how copies are inferior to the real deal. Then again, it's not really known what this Custom Battle Ability can really do. Perhaps Boriates is truly invincible and no one really knows, except for Dasia. Either way, this could just be the start in displaying how dangerous these mechanical creations have become.
"Fusion ability activate! Shoo Dragon Fly!" The first of many fusion abilities Dryoid has in its arsenal, this ability changes the color of the sword to emerald green. Its encasement was blown apart instantly. Countering Boriates' advances was a cinch now that there was nothing inhibiting it's movement.
Making contact with Boriates' staff with this ability caused a violent burst of energy to swat the spellcaster back. The staff was knocked out of its hand and disintegrated once it hit the floor. Following up with that maneuver, Dryoid slashed the air numerous times to cause wind ripples to go down range like energy waves.
"I didn't know overconfidence was a good strategy for such a 'good tactician' like yourself," Xavier barked. "There's a reason why you have prior knowledge about Dryoid's abilities and have to rely on the ones you've taken over. It's an excuse for your loneliness and your weakness."

Dasia scowled at Xavier for making that comment. How dare he insult her like that? He's one of the main reasons why she would ever feel alone in the first place.
"Ability activate! Hyper Tachyon Glow!" The horn on Boriates' head lit up as it projected three rings of light in front of it. Once they were in a row, they became solid. One of them was definitely capable of withstanding a slash from Shoo Dragon Fly without any of them being destroyed. This was due to the stacking effect that they had. If one ring gets damage, then the others are able to combine their energies to keep one safe. The only way to really get rid of them is to destroy them together, a tactic that Dasia was glad to have taken off of Tracy's hands.
"So what if I'm weak or lonely? You never cared anyway. For someone who suggested I asked for help, you sure didn't want to be that help for anyone. Perhaps your reliance on Dryoid itself shows how selfish you are." Boriates was now going to use this ability offensively. Arrows of pure light were being shaped by these rings and were ready to be fired on demand. They were incredibly large. It appeared as if Boriates could rapidly fire these arrows by pouring them out of these makeshift portals.

Xavier had picked up on an important detail of this new Coalition Armor. He could see Dryoid's stats increase and remain stable across the board. This armor set made Dryoid retain all of the buffs granted to it through each fusion ability activated. In this case, Shoo Dragon Fly's effects would stay put even if Xavier decides to activate another fusion ability, something to give Gladion thanks for.
"Fusion ability activate! Geki Dust Barrier!" Dryoid's blade darkened in color. It stabbed the floor and ripped through it. A cloud of sparkling dust was swept up from this motion. The energy within the light arrows destabilized when going through this cloud and broke down before Dryoid could be punished by it. Thanks to Shoo Dragon Fly, the range of this attack was increased, giving it coverage across the field, even to where Boriates was residing. The rings it had summoned were eventually broken down as well.
Not wanting Boriates to have a ranged advantage anymore, Dryoid rushed towards it in a zigzag formation, not wanting its movements to be tracked so easily. "Selfish? I've done more for this planet than you've ever done in your entire life. I'm the one who gave the people clean water. I'm the one who gave them a security net. I'm the one who took the cities back from the Hurranians. All you've done was enslave them and took us endless stairs back. I should have been the king!"

"You be the king? Ha! I always knew it! You've been jealous all this time!" Dasia finally got out of him. "You can't even keep yourself alive without my help while you're a prince! What makes you think you'll fare any better on the throne!?"
Dasia now started activating abilities in anger. She was really starting to try on this one. "Ability activate! Muzzle Lancer!" Boriates drew a gunlance from his right arm. The weapon was an extremely effective tool for all ranges since the lance can be used normally while also carrying the properties of a devastating cannon. This is what it would use to handle Dryoid at the range it was coming in from.
"But, wait. There's something funny about that whole selection process that I should mention. Wait for it..." Dasia smirked evilly before she revealed this little secret of hers. "I told Father to pick me over you."

This really triggered Xavier. Not only was his birthright robbed from him, but it was his own sister that did this to him. You really think you know someone...
"You think...that it's even remotely funny...? How...dare...you...!" Xavier grabbed another fusion ability. He activated it without haste, just moments after Dryoid locked blades with Boriates. "Fusion ability activate! Double Caliber!"
Dryoid leaped backwards to get out of close quarters. It was necessary to draw the hilt on it's left hip. When it activated, it carried the same buffs that the other blade did, making Dryoid's power incredibly dangerous. It twisted both of these blades very fast to make them look like buzz saws. Dryoid then threw them both.
"At least Father understood one thing, before he got led to believe you were ever capable of being a role model. It's better to die a hero than a monster," Xavier retorted. The buzz saws flew in varying directions according to Dryoid's commands, as it could control where they went. One cut the floor near Boriates to blow it off of its feet and cover it in dust to suppress its powers. The other went straight across the front side of its body, damaging crucial systems in the process. This process was going to continue, but Dryoid wanted to make sure that Boriates had nowhere left to go.
It dispatched the blade that was on its back that was supposed to be used for backup. Activating it gave it all the bonuses the other two blades carried. It was about to come in for a landing.

"How about not dying at all? That's a very inviting offer to be a queen. No one has truly died, X. They're all with me," Dasia happily responded. This was technically true, since the deceased have their DNA apart of the Hurranian database and can be created at any time. This includes Mother and Father as well.
"Fusion ability activate! Buster Mega Barrel!" Ignoring the further attacks by Double Caliber, Boriates raised it's left arm to call on the barrels used for Prometheus Cannon once more. This time, two additional barrels were next to the established two. The gunblade on its right arm shot a blast downwards so a repulsive force field would blow the flying blades away so the shots can be fired.
"I don't know about you though... You believe that dying as you are now is more preferable. I may just grant you your wish with this..." Dasia unveiled a chrome-covered ability card that was sure to do the job. "Ability activate! Olympus Cannon!"
The barrels on Boriates' right arm were split apart. This enhanced the range potency and the destructive power of this ability straight to the top. Light particles were gathering within the barrels as a devastating blast was about to be unleashed.

Xavier knew the level of power Dasia had at her fingertips. The blast Boriates just fired was powerful enough to destroy at least half of a planet if launched in a careless fashion, and that's without knowing if Dasia was holding it back or not. It was safe to consider this a situation where Dasia was not holding back. If it hits, Xavier can forget about overthrowing Dasia. He may as well take comfort in being a king in the Hurranian network if they can even salvage his DNA after getting destroyed in a catastrophic blast.
"Today's not my day to die, so don't get excited," Xavier declared. Dryoid held his blade out in front of him. It twisted in the air in a repeated cycle. The blast from the Olympus Cannon was contained by this action, stuck in Dryoid's control. "One thing that always separated you from me is that you're always so kind, even in your current state. You lack the darkness necessary to act in critical situations, which is why we're here right now. I don't have that problem. I don't see my loving sister in front of me; all I see is a liar, manipulator, and a murderer."
Xavier then revealed one of his abilities that was covered in bronze. "I don't care who it is. You're a danger to our planet, a living cancer who must be destroyed. With this ability - Gaian Reflector - I will do just that, and save these people from your slave ship."
Dryoid deployed nails from underneath its feet to keep it firmly planted on the floor. The thruster pack on its back surged to push Dryoid against this powerful force. Once enough energy was produced, Dryoid pushed the blast from Olympus Cannon back towards Boriates with an added bonus: attacks reflected by this ability are amplified to three times of their original power, making them deadly to absorb, clash with, or even to defend against.

A figurative sweat drop was seen coming from Boriates' head when it's attack was brought back to it. There was nothing that could be done to evade it. It was consumed by this blast and could not be seen.
Dasia looked at this in horror. The blast was going to take 'good' care of Boriates, but its power was simply too high to not let Dasia join in. She was screaming as she got smothered by this blast too.
The result was a thundering explosion that blinded everyone and even shook the fabric of the makeshift environment they were battling in. It began to destabilize, losing its shape and formation. It was getting ready to revert back to the Mother Palace. When it did, it showed Boriates in pieces. The fragments were scattered on top of Dasia, who was severely bruised and burned from this ordeal.

Xavier witnessed what he just did. He couldn't hold back a tear from having to strike down his own sister. The head scientist knew how he felt. He was right beside Xavier, trying to give him some comfort in all of this. It was hard for a comment to be made about this though. Saying something along the lines of, "At least you destroyed your sister," or, "She won't be hurting anyone ever again," would probably make the atmosphere more poisonous.
"I'm-"
"Stop. You don't need to say anything," Xavier said to cut him off. "There's nothing you could say that could make what just happened any better. This was all my fault. If I was a better brother, maybe I could have prevented her from ever being infected in the first place. I never took care of her like she did for me. I failed once again."
"..."
"My birthright meant everything to me from the beginning. Now I realize that Dasia may have been right all along. I had it good, but now that she's become this monster, I can't hide my feelings anymore. I miss her..."
Xavier started walking forward, but was impeded by Dryoid. It did not trust this scene. Dasia dying was too good to be true. It could tell that there was something sinister in the works here.

Dasia's supposed corpse shed tears of happiness that she was loved this much. It took all of this for Xavier to finally open up and admit what he should have known this entire time. It was a shame that he was far too late.
"There you go, X... You finally realize it..." Dasia's voice confirmed. It didn't necessarily come from her corpse. It was somewhere within the throne room. Her voice echoed throughout it, almost like she was apart of it somehow...
"It's question time..." she notified. "Based on our discussion earlier, this is your way to peace in contrast to mine. So, answer me this. How did it feel, and do you think it's working?"

Xavier gulped. Dasia was still alive, and no one knew where she was.
"Um...I'm creeped out, sir," the head scientist whimpered.
"That makes both of us," Xavier sympathized. He thought Dryoid would be able to detect it. It did and didn't at the same time. Dasia's signature was all over the room. No one could pinpoint where she was exactly.
"It felt terrible, of course. Anyone who gets enjoyment out of doing this to someone is evil themselves, especially when it's against someone they love. Yes, I said it. I love you."
"So do I..." the head scientist innocently chimed in.
"Don't you see what you're doing? You're the one causing conflict. Destroying you would definitely work towards peace, but it would be even better if you stopped this madness. You don't have to do this."

"Ah, but, that's precisely why you can't destroy me. Destroying one person would just lead to someone else wanting to do the same to you for vengeance," Dasia explained. "As an example..."
The head scientist suddenly went rogue against Xavier. He shot a pulse towards Dryoid that infected it, making it go haywire and reject Xavier's control over it, as he was not a Hurranian himself. It then turned towards Xavier in preparation to force him to do Dasia's bidding.
"You don't create peace. You build up conflict until everyone pays the price. That's what history has taught you, especially on Gundalia and Earth. You're a smart man. I know you know this deep down in your heart." Electric pulses from all over the room began rebuilding both Dasia and Boriates. In a couple of seconds, they were all brand new.
"On the opposite end, you can join me, and there would be no hope for any vengeance to take place. We all want the same thing. Why choose the more difficult path?"
