“Ability activate! Sword Dance!” Sydney’s voice roared from behind. She was sitting on Vergilius's back during the charge before she jumped and landed on the ground so swords would not phase her. Longswords formed around Vergilius and started revolving around him swiftly; there were dozens of them. Sharp magical blades began severing monsters' limbs and tearing them in shreds as Vergilius passed by. Seconds later everything was splattered around and pools of blood covered the floor. Merciless onslaught by Vergilius left some of the terrorists shocked, but it was not completely one-sided; swords began melting down and blood covering Vergilius caused his body to go stiff and slow down which was unexpected. “Debuffs: slow and corrosion. Health dropping by 2% per second. Health 96%.” Vergilius gave a quick report on the situation. 'Corrosion' is a debuff that depletes health of mechanical Bakugans such as Vergilius (cyborg). It is like poison for organic Bakugans.
“Ability activate! Nano Restore!” Sydney announced.
Vergilius’s body flashed and it began restoring with a blue aura all around it. Tiny nanobots were produced all over his body and began reconstructing its bits and pieces and quickly nullifying the effects of slow and corrosion. He was having none of that trash from terrorists.

Thomas and Keto were late for the party, but were close enough and the corridor they had taken was leading to the same location. As soon as they burst into the main room their Bakugans rushed at the terrorists and their Bakugans. Uriel charged into the ones Dante and Metallius were handling; it would not take long for those things to get torn apart. "Ability activate! Broken Faith!" Thomas announced upon inserting the ability card into his gauntlet. Uriel took off and reached the center of the room and then headed to the ceiling; he spread his wings whose silver composition transformed into gold before releasing golden rays at the busy enemies. Their bodies became coated in an odd golden substance that made them significantly slow and, most importantly, decrease their defense by 30% for 10 seconds allowing the attacks to just tear through them. Thomas went for another card and played it. "Ability activate! Starlight Breaker!" Uriel surrounded himself with golden energy; he gained a golden aura and was surrounded by flames painted in gold. He then crashed into the enemies causing a forceful explosion that did light AoE damage before triggering second effect which made thousands of golden swords emerge from the ground impaling enemies' bodies and killing some of them in the process.
"You never learn to die, do you... monster?" Thomas inquires upon setting his sights on Daniel. Unlike others he was not surprised. He was used to monsters like Daniel.

Keto was sitting on Chaosdranoid's shoulder. There were plenty spots on his back to sit on thanks to his mechanic and gigantic body. As soon as they burst through the wall, since entering through the door like normal people would be too much, they took a quick look around to realize where each one of her allies were and what they were supposed to do. Addressing elephant in the room was one of the first things for Keto- and it was Daniel being present there. Wasn't he supposed to be dead? Perhaps it was trickery and he never had died? Or someone could have revived him? Was he... on their side? He did look like he was fighting terrorists, but one cannot be too cautious since Daniel had plenty of moments when he was not an ally. "Oh, good... the Andersen shut-in is back." Keto said under her breath and then uploaded a card over her tablet. "Give them hell, C." Keto said to her partner. "Eat... THIS!!" Chaosdranoid yelled as he unloaded his Catastrophe Cannon at enemies Uriel was fighting. Uriel moved away in time and two giant projectiles from Chaosdranoid's back hit the ground with terrorists and their Bakugans blowing them all to pieces- it sure proves Chaosdranoid's role of DPS in this team; he can take out multiple strong Bakugans with his deadly weaponry.
"Be quick about it! We can't let these assholes escape!" Keto ordered.

Cyber was observing the battle from a dark corner. He was perfectly aware Daniel knew about his presence, but others did not. Daniel had to deal with those other terrorists tho because they were about to do something very dangerous. Cyber simply accessed some of Kyuki's older PCs and started extracting confidential documents and uploading them to Chrono Elite at incredible speeds. Having him makes any Chrono Elite's job overly easy since he can hack into anything and anyone anytime and anywhere. Thanks to Kyuki's advanced protection he had to came into physical contact with PCs and use data he could find from other areas to successfully hack the PCs. However, it did not take long and all shields were brought down. In only a few minutes Cyber used those PCs to hack into several other bases Kyuki used to control and extracted a huge portion of confidential data from them. Once he was finished he called for his 'Bakugan'. One shown previously is a rare Bakugan type that was combined with technology and DNA salvaged from a meteorite that was found around Antarctica. Thanks to the technology and DNA this Bakugan has become overly powerful and its power grows not from training or actual strength, but from knowledge- the more knowledge it has the more power it has. It can shape knowledge into physical power and use it to advantage. It could literally take a paragraph of text about a sword and shape a real sword out of that in seconds; however, process is much simpler using electronics.
"Extraction complete! Final orders from Headquarters: Retrieve the woman. Leave no survivors." Odd Bakugan spoke and then created a portal that seemed to have been consisted of flashing ones and zeros. It is called the Data Transfer Portal or DTS for short- whatever enters it is transported in form of data and reformed on the other side of the portal.

Cyber and that monster got out of the area with their portal. Fina looked at them and muttered angrily and silently. "Bastards... we taught you everything you know... you think you can win this war against me...? Think... AGAIN." With that Fina rolled over so her back is turned towards the ground and she faces the ceiling. She reached for her coat's pocket and pulled out a small device with a few buttons on it. She went for the tiny blue one and pressed it. Considering terrorists were busy due to Daniel's and others' interference she was ignored and that gave her an opportunity to make an escaping maneuver. A portal similar to Cyber's appeared and Fina jumped into it with those bits of strength she had left. With that she disappeared from the area and was teleported somewhere else.
This new area she teleported to was a dark and wet place; probably some ruin. Its infrastructure was damaged severely and it was filled with numerous devices such as workstation computers and incubators, but most of those were not functional. Basically, everything was in ruins. Outside the building was a giant and dark rainforest; light could barely go through the trees with that density. Only one device appeared to be functioning; whatever allowed Fina to teleport there using a data portal. "Ugh..." She muttered and spat some blood on the floor. She reached for one of the shelves and forcefully ripped its doors off; there were some vials in there filled with dark-green liquid. Without hesitation, Fina grabbed 3 of them one by one and drank the substance. Her body began regenerating slowly saving her from possible death, but not guaranteeing full healing.

"Damn it! She escaped again." Uriel spoke angrily.
"Not on my watch... Come on, let's go!" Thomas ordered.
He jumped to Uriel's shoulder. Uriel then released a wave of energy through his sword-arm and broke through the ceiling. He and Thomas left the building in attempt to track Fina's life force before signs of it fade with time. Uriel could feel the fading force in the north, but he could not pinpoint it. Best he could do was to try and find the area where she could be and hope they could find her later on in one of her hiding spots. Two of them have been on the chase for about ten minutes and could find nothing; trace faded completely and they had nothing to pinpoint or just assume her location based on the trace. "Damn..." Thomas muttered in dissatisfaction. "We've gotta go back." He said to Uriel and his Bakugan simply agreed. "Okay." Uriel turned back and headed back towards the hideout Fina escaped from. The rest of their team must have been fighting terrorists at the time.

There were, circa, thirteen monsters left inside the room everyone was fighting. However, only 4 terrorists were left, provided that none escaped during the big mess. Daniel made sure that terrorists, who knew what they were doing with those monsters, were gone for good so they could not perform any actions that could boost those things. For Daniel it was moderately difficult to defeat the monsters without giving the terrorists a slaughter first; it seemed like terrorists were using modified forms of Silver gauntlets produced by Silver Knights and their elite brawlers. Cards they were using were completely black with red blood-vessel-like markings spread all across. It was an unknown type of cards, but Daniel could not give it time to think- he had to kill these things before they hurt someone or escaped. "Die..." He formed a claw on his left arm; a claw consisting of molten lava and surrounded by a dark miasma. That claw went right for one of the terrorists piercing his heart and spreading the darkness from miasma through his entire body causing it to decay and fall apart quickly. One of the monsters, Fear Ripper, charged at Daniel with its giant claws, but it was way too slow to outmaneuver the prey. "Die..." Daniel moved quickly out of the monster's grasp before forming a scythe from the shadows; scythe was surrounded by bloody-red flames as it sank into monster's neck and ripped it off; as a result the entire body ended up burning to cinders. After giving himself some space to think and move Daniel spoke to the team who, originally, came here for Fina.
"There are three men and twelve Bakugans left... Make yourself useful and kill them..." Daniel spoke. The way he was talking it appeared as if he was having trouble breathing. One could hear his deep breaths from afar; as if he had a really bad cold.

Still in disbelief to see Daniel, Alex stopped for a second. He, however, snapped out of it seconds later and went to put a card into the gauntlet. "Right. Here it goes. Dante?" Alex said, checking if Dante was ready for the action. "Ready when you are." Dante confirmed. "Ability activate! Blessed Twin!" It was the same ability from before when party was fighting against Sphinx.
Dante's spear was swapped for another holy sword. Using the seraph wings he moved swiftly towards two of the terrorists' monsters. In a few seconds he unleashed furious waves of sword slashes at them leaving countless scars all over their bodies. Since Dante still was not as much of a DPS as Chaosdranoid he had to do another ability to finally get rid of the two. "Fusion Ability activate! Hundred Lights!" If that ability was not going to kill those things then there was no point in even fighting anymore. Dante jumped and flew backwards to gain some distance between him and the monsters. He then violently flapped his wings releasing exactly a hundred feathers from them. Feathers were glowing in powerful white light illuminating the ground below. All of a sudden, feathers transformed into a hundred swords of same design as Dante's swords in Blessed Twin. Swords rained down on the helpless enemies impaling them wherever there was space to get stabbed. Soon their bodies could not be seen from the amount of swords stuck in their bodies. Swords vanished and Dante simply landed near the monsters to confirm the kills- he cut both their heads of with his blades even though they were already dead after Hundred Lights. "Nice job. Let's clean up the rest!"

Michael was fighting two of the monsters as well. They were mindlessly charging towards Metallius. One of them appeared to be a Laserman while other one was a Saurus with a particle cannon attached to its right shoulder. Both of these were shooting at Metallius, but their projectiles were not as effective as they had hoped. "I don't even need to dodge." Metallius mocked the two and then spread his wings; wings were clad in heavy, metallic armor and considering their size they could be used as a weapon. "Ability activate! Megaton Smash!" Michael activated the card meant to be used with Metallius's heavy flexible wings. He extended both of them, leaned forward and then lunged with them smashing both enemies and crushing them under the massive weight of the wings. Their bodies were completely crushed; chunks of them scattered across the floor and dark-purple liquid was spreading across the floor. The floor was getting burnt by the liquid; it must have been a highly-concentrated acidic substance. "Ugh... That's nice." Michael said as he looked at the corpses.

Fina was gone from the scene after so much effort that had been put into looking for her and breaking through her defenses. Explosion heard recently must have been from a fight against Fina since her body had been severely damaged. Was Daniel who did that to her or was it the terrorists? Latter would not make much sense since terrorists belong to Chrono Elite and they are allied to Kyuki; meaning his wife as well. Daniel, indeed, caused some major damage to Fina's defenses and entire infrastructure of the room without need of a Bakugan. No wonder some refer to him as 'monster'; good or bad he always displays such horrifying powers. That differs him from Alex and Lydia who are reluctant to show theirs so there would be no pandemonium caused. It is hard to form alliance with Daniel or grow any bond with him with that overly selfish and dark attitude he has; not even Alex and Lydia are that close to him. No one is. None of that resolved the mystery of how he came back to life or if he had died in the first place. That only made this mission way more interesting; it would make such an eventful story to tell to Victoria upon return. However, first thing on the list was to remove the threat of those monsters. “Ability activate! Dragon Wheel!” Sydney called for the ability.
Vergilius caused flashes of light all around him; numerous swords were spawned out of thin air. There were twenty swords in total. Swords were positioned in a circle formation and charged towards a pair of monsters spinning like a tornado. Pair of monsters was torn apart by the swords and one more monster was damaged before swords disappeared.

Beatrice had no source of overwhelming strength like teammate Bakugans so her best bet was to play the support role until the end and avoid those dangerous monsters. There were still six monsters left and, from her experience, Chaosdranoid could wipe them out all at once and so her intention was to boost him up as much as possible so he could do it in one attack. The sight of Daniel Andersen did creep Shabelle out quite a bit considering he should have been dead the entire time and there he was, shrouded by darkness and acting like most villains would; he mercilessly executed some of those terrorists even though some of them were down and helpless- he could have, at least, spared them for Silver Knights to interrogate them. Shabelle was disgusted and horrified by his actions. However, she could not deal with that right now. She had to help Keto with dealing with the monsters. "Miss Keto, it's on you." Shabelle called and then took a card from the left back pocket playing it right from the hand without any gauntlets. "Ability activate! Rage Boost!"
Beatrice pointed her staff towards Chaosdranoid and released a red stream of light that connected to Chaosdranoid increasing all his abilities' offensive power by 25% and bonus 1% for every enemy defeated within 10 minutes since Rage Boost's activation. Due to this the boost to offense went over 30% making Chaosdranoid's offensive ability reaching potential of a one-shot genocide. "Your power grew- now rid us of these fiends." Beatrice spoke to Chaosdranoid.

"I got it." Keto responded to her support.
"You won't regret it, kid." Chaosdranoid ensured Beatrice.
"Ability activate! Chaotic Barrage." Girl said as she swiped over her tablet picking the ability.
Chaosdranoid positioned his cannons forward and opened the hatches all over his back and shoulders. Those were, clearly, missile pads. With amazing speed and ear-piercing screeching missiles were launched towards the remaining six enemies raining death upon them, dealing massive damage with every missile that lands a hit and explodes. With that done some of the enemies were incapacitated while few used defensive maneuvers to avoid damage. However, Chaosdranoid was not close to done. His two cannons, positioned forward, aimed for targets that avoided death- those were 3 enemies. Two large shells fired from the cannons met up with the unlucky monsters wiping them out from face of the Earth with a single bang and a loud explosion filled with smoke and flame. One of them survived, surprisingly, but it could barely move so it was not a threat in the slightest. Even with a buff Chaosdranoid could not wipe them out; smaller targets are not this destroyer's specialty so they can easily avoid his attacks. A bigger target would be quickly crushed and turned to dust.

Last monster to live, limping and struggling for air was Daniel's target. He formed another scythe out of shadows in order to decapitate the monster. "Die..." He said and the head of the best fell to the ground before being kicked aside by Daniel. Last ones alive were the three terrorists who Daniel planned to spare for later use. His scythe disappeared as he approached one of the terrorists. "Get... away from me..." Terrorists shouted in absolute shock after having had witnessed the horror of this enemy's power before. Daniel grabbed the man by his neck and then tossed him aside like trash. "Be silent or I'll rip your lungs out." He threatened the terrorist before turning towards his 'guests' who were useful to ease Daniel's job by eliminating all of the remaining monsters. For some odd reason his strength alone was not enough to deal significant damage to them aside from murdering one or two.
"What are YOU doing in here?" Daniel inquired the group.
"Young human, we have been in here for long enough..." A silent and dark voice spoke inside Daniel's head. Considering all the events that unfolded, it is undoubtedly Deathcrown.
"Hold on a second." Daniel stopped him.

"We've come here for Fina... she escaped. Again." Dante answered.
"Leave that aside for now." Alex interrupted. "You're alive, Daniel... we thought you were gone forever."
"The Resistor had a lethal shot on you- you were undoubtedly dead." Dante confirmed.
All the mess and chaos on this mission was set aside for Alex with a troubling thought about Daniel being among living again. Alex did not know if he should be happy, worried or both at that moment. He was in shock and had so many questions that, simply, had to be answered. The primary, and most important, question is about how Daniel returned to life. They knew, for a fact, that once Kuzuha absorbed powers of Achron and Deathcrown lying within Daniel's body and mind she absorbed Daniel's body as well. Kuzuha has been with Silver Knights ever since and even though her actions were quite secretive there was no chance she could have revived Daniel without an enormous surge of power released, which would be noticed. Plus, Kuzuha has no revival abilities and no matter how flexible her powers are it is something she will never be able to use. So there has to be something or someone else. Another thing worrying Alex is Daniel's state and behavior- Daniel now talks slower, he does not have that 'tired' look on his face anymore but rather deadly one, he breathes like it hurts to breathe in the first place and fights so aggressively. He looks like he completely lost the need of having a Bakugan.

"Yes... I WAS dead..." Daniel replied. "...but some insolent fools could not respect my body and soul being laid to rest..."
Daniel was referring to those who have decided to revive him. He did not look particularly happy to be among the living again; it was already known that Daniel wanted to die because his brain could not deal with the mental and physical pain anymore. The fact that he is alive must mean he is not very happy either. Those who revived him potentially made a huge mistake... who knows what happened to them when he realized they revived him. Maybe he killed them. Daniel stomped on one of the monsters' corpses and severed a part of its body that had the odd, colorful rock-like skin. He put it in his pocket and then began to back away from the group.
"We'll have time to talk... right now I have something... more important to do." Daniel explained. A crimson flash of light blinded those present as Daniel was thrown into a portal that appeared and disappeared in a split second.
