So, I'm getting bored with how little is going on. Anybody up for a battle? And Grimm, if you do join, I'll be very clear with my request. I don't want a one-two punch combo with Serperios and Exedra. We both know that beats me if I don't use my strongest Bakugan. With that said, this is open for everybody!
Gate Card, Set! Bakugan, Brawl! Bakugan, Stand! Rise Aquos Slight!
Me: 500 ?: ?

Where did you get the card? I don't see it on your character profile, nor do I see it anywhere in the card shop via purchase.

Me: 700 You: 800
Aquos Reactor: Add 500 Gs to every Aquos Bakugan on the field. Shop. Attribute Merge: Change the opponent's Attribute. Shop, Aquos.

I am not exactly fond of that type of move, so I think I am going to negate it. Dark Judgement. I am going to go ahead and keep my attribute as it is thank you, I prefer Darkus.

And that's the exact response I expected. You saw the threat to your plays and got rid of it ASAP, ignoring the potential to swing the tide in your favor. In you writing that, did you notice that my Gs were 100 lower than yours? You could've attacked. However, that was a learning opportunity, so no take backs, okay? Ability Activate! Power Surge! This'll transfer 200 Gs from you and then gain Slight 200 Gs. Me: 1100 You: 800 Power Surge: Blue Ability Card - Transfers 200 Gs to Slight and adds 200 Gs to him - Aquos bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/37870/power-surge

And you know what I respond with? Water Slide! This green ability will reduce you back to base power, then transfer 200 to me! Me: 750 You: 300 Water Slide: Green Ability - Returns the opponent to base power level then transfers 200 Gs bakugan-generation.proboards.com/thread/37945/water-slide

And in response to that, I'll use an Ability Breaker on your Dark Judgement. That, in turn, reactivates my Attribute Merge. You know what that means, right? All of your Darkus specific non-white cards are negated! You're back to being Haos! And do keep in mind the effect limitations. You've already used up both of our negation effects, so this is a definitive effect, unless you have a way to block it.
Me: 1300 You: 600
Ability Breaker: Negate an opponent's Ability Card. Shop.
And yes, it's been gone over in one of my brawls before. You can negate cards that were not negated immediately at a later point in time.

And there goes any understanding on Battle mechanics I may have had. I forfeit, I have nothing I can do.

Don't sweat it, Durant. You're still learning. Now, there is a way you could've gotten rid of it. I don't think you have a card like this, but gaining protection would've meant I couldn't touch you. Additionally, I'll explain a few card functions to you. The Shop Cards are technically Attributeless. That means that even if your Attribute is changed from what they directly affect, they are still in effect because they weren't negated. However, cards you make are likely of a certain Attribute, and as such can be negated from an Attribute Change. Does that make sense? In the future, if an Ability is of an extremely simple effect such as just transferring Gs or gaining them, or closer to the Shop Cards in general, it probably wouldn't hurt to try making its Attribute any. The worst that happens is staff says you can't make it any. Good luck in the future!
I Attack. Good Brawl, Durant. Any questions before I send it off?
