Seventy years have passed since Naga first invaded earth. Bakugan has become even more famous that before. It has become a form of sport, and has large television tournaments and brawls, with tournaments made for this. Proffesional brawlers are even paid like proffesional soccer or golf players, and most are immensely rich. Among these are the highest ranked rivals, Negatus and Necro Sholin. There powerful bakugan, along with them, have become the most famous people on earth, and have defeated hundreds of brawalers before them. Yet Negatus, unknown to anyone else, has a dark plan behind this curtain of fame...

One year ago, he went to Vestroia. The land was beautiful, the bakugan exotic. Of course, he wasn't looking for any of this, and found what he was seeking on the most barren and darkest place of Vestroia. No bakugan ever ventured here, yet Negatus was in search of what they feared. For, even though Naga was defeated by Drago, his body still remained... At least, technically. His atoms and negative energy formed a massive crystal, which was unbreakable. Negatus took this with him, and only time can tell...
