_[Lights stream everywhere and sounds seem to bounce all inside an unknown man's head as he struggles to awaken] "I was waking up from what was suppose to be an afternoon nap". [After a brief moment, he regains full consciousness.] "I looks around the room when I realized-" [The man slightly panics, realizing that he's not in his home, but rather in a different bedroom altogether] "that I wasn't in the same room that I was in when I fell asleep." [The man begins to stand up. As he starts placing his foot on the floor, he touches something.] "But that wasn't the most bizarre thing that had happened. Oh no, it quickly became much worse." [The man glances down to see that he was about to step on a dead woman. She appeared to have been stabbed to death.] "At first I didn't know what to make of it. This was the first time I had witnessed something so... horrific."

_[The man immediately wakes up, heavily breathing. He is dripping in sweat and feels a pulsing pain on his left arm.] "I had the most awful dream imaginable. In the matter of fact, it felt all too real." [Suddenly a flashback appears of the man running for dear life along with his best friend trying his best to outrun a dark cloaked figure behind him through the city.] "I tried shaking the nightmare out of my mind by slapping myself awake and splashing cold water on my face from the faucet. But that one part- [The flashback jumps forward in time to where the man and his best friend stood at the edge of a skyscraper roof. The dark cloaked figure stood in between them and the only door leading inside the building. The man pinches his arm with all his might, trying to wake up. The dark cloaked figure raises his hand, and out of no where shoots a bullet perfectly between the best friend's eyes.] "I had awoken just then........... This RP takes place in the modern world and time. The situation... A group of humanoid aliens have found a way to tamper with human dreams and are causing unexplained murders. It is the protagonists job to save the world by defeating the enemies in the "Dream World".
Antagonists currently live in a large ship amongst their race as they float around in space. The planet you once lived in doesn't exist anymore. Needing a new place to get nutrients and other needed things, the antagonists has decided to attack Earth. They have the supernatural ability to tapped into dreams, and so they do so with a random citizens dreams. Making these indirect attacks are what's kept suspicion off them. The plan's simple, eliminate the humans and take Earth for yourselves so that your species can continue to survive.
Although both sides have main goals, there will be minor goals popping up here and there in the RP.
For protagonists, up until your dream is tapped into, you've simply dreamed. No thoughts were put into it. You've let your subconscious take over since the first time you've dreamed. When the antagonist tap into your dreams, you can become slightly more aware of the world you're in. That being said, don't go around doing anything and everything you want. Your mind can't comprehend that. Your mind generally makes everything it sees, hears, touches, smells, and tastes into a sense of realism no matter if something is "obviously" not real. For example, you know you can't jump 100 stories high in the real world, so what makes you think you can do it in a dream that seems so real? Each time you enter the Dream Dimension you may be able stetch your limitations a bit, but don't go from a normal jump to a 100 story jump instantly. Gradually become able to do that impossible stunt each time you enter the dream dimension. Once the antagonists (or perhaps ever a protagonist) tap into your dream for the first time, you can thereafter become conscious in dreams whenever you'd like. And for the last note, you can try waking up from a dream by doing what your character feels is the best way in doing so, like pinching yourself. You can also still wake up by real world alarm clocks, someone shaking you awake, or even naturally.
For antagonist, you can do whatever you want in a dream for the most part. You've lived and experienced the true power behind a dream since day one. Now you can't be super ultra mega powerful and indestructable with the knowledge of the universe, but you can have some special skills and abilities that are otherwise impossible to do in the real world. You can also merge multiple dreamers into one dream. However, only the dreamer that everyone's merged into has control of the dream's enviroment whereas everyone else can only add something to the dream that pertains to self.
For both protagonist and antagonist, you cannot change the enviroment of the original dreamer. Only the dreamer has control of what the setting is in their dream. For example, if the dreamer you're tapping into is a pirate on a ship, you can't immediately change the theme to a prison house, a castle in medieval times, etc. Lastly, when a dreamer spots you, s/he will automatically know you aren't a projected image of his/her subconscious mind, which for first timers experiencing this usually results in fear and therefore begins altering their dream world into a fearful place.
