New Vestroia: Houston and Wes vs Bakugan Army

[The King]

Houston, separated from the rest of the World Soldiers, wandered around New Vestroia with Sol, hoping to run into them eventually. Sol's teleportation powers were not able to activate because of destructive interference released by the artificial bakugan. As he was wandering, he was caught off guard by the artificial bakugan army, and was surrounded. Houston and Sol tried their best to fight off the army, but the army kept coming with no end in sight. Nearly beaten, Houston had to pull out his secret weapon, and maybe call for help from a friend he knew was in the area.

"Ability activate!" Houston yelled, "Dragon Rejuvenation!"

Sol stood up and glowed white, signifying his Dextra Attribute. Sol's many wounds were healed, and his energy restored, but the bakugan army seemed to have no end in sight. A legion of Terrafalconi shot fireballs at Sol and Houston, to which Houston replied with one of Sol's signature abilities.

"Ability activate! Divine Defense!" Houston yelled, swiping another glowing card through his Scanner.

Sol's fist glowed red and orange, the energy looking more and more like a flame with each passing second. Finally, Sol punched the ground, creating a shield of fire that seared many of the bakugan near Sol and Houston, destroying them. Houston reached into his backpack, and pulled out one of his favorite snacks: beef jerky.

"Gosh, I hope he is nearby..." Houston said, opening the bag.

[Wes Sutterfield]

Wes jumped out of a nearby bush with a crazed look on his face and shouting at the top of his lungs.
"I SMELL JERKY!" Wes cried. "Oh, hi Houston. Hey, do you know about any jerky nearby?" Talon floated out of Wes's front pocket.
"It's always jerky with you. he said. "Why is that? Wes glanced at Talon in disbelief.
"Jerky is the essense of life," Wes said. "How many times must I tell you that?"
Wes glanced at Houston's hands.
"Oh, there it is. So, what do I gotta do this time? Sit? Roll over? Beg?"

[The King]

"Obliterate these guys," Houston said pointing to the army, "Sol and I have been fighting them off for a while."

"And make it snappy," Sol commanded. A small opening appeared in the shield.

"And fast," Houston added, as a screen appeared on his Scanner. A sword and shield were attached into the key hole on his back, "Battle Key, UNLOCK! Universe Key!"

Sol became armed with the Universe Sword and Shield, and became clad in the Universe Armor. Sol roared loud, and shook the ground below him. He took a battle stance, ready for the impending penetration.

[Wes Sutterfield]

"Ok, but I get the jerky afterwards, right?" Wes replied.
"Bakugan Brawl! Talon, Stand!"
The cyborganic beast rose from the ground with an intense battle cry as his cybernetics sparked to life. An electronic voice eminated from his core.
"BATTLE SYSTEMS ENGAGED! SYSTEMS OPERATING AT 100% EFFICIENCY!
"I'm ready, let's take em down!" Talon shouted.

[The King]

"Of course you will," Houston replied, rolling his eyes, as the shield was broken through. Houston swiped an ability through his Scanner, "Ability activate! Asteroid Launch!"

Sol rose into the air, and glowed red. Asteroids began raining down, slamming into the bakugan army crushing a lot of the land walking bakugan, while smaller asteroids grounded the flying bakugan. Sol charged into the battle, swinging the Universe Sword, slicing through the grounded bakugan.

"A little help, Wes?" Houston called.

[Wes Sutterfield]

"Understood!" Wes called.
"Ability Activate! Core Blast!"
"WARNING! CORE CONTAINMENT FIELD DEACTIVATED! CORE BREACH IMMINENT!"
"Ugh, that really gets annoying after the first hundred times you use that ability." Talon muttered.
A huge stream of dark energy surged from Talon's corrupted core and engulfed a line of enemy units, weakening them severely.
"How bout that?!" Wes shouted. "And we're just getting started!"

[The King]

The enemies weakened by the blast were immediately crushed by asteroids, yet quickly filled in by new forces. Houston grabbed an ability from his bakupack, swiped it, and held his Scanner up.

"Double Ability activate! Universe Laser plus Divine Defense!" Houston yelled. Sol jumped into the air, and released a powerful laser in a circle shape, destroying many of the immediately surrounding bakugan, and cragging up the ground around them to stall the attackers. Sol then recreated his shield so that Houston and Wes could formulate a plan.

"Wes," Houston said, "Use Talon's Battle Key. It will give him an advantage he needs against this many enemies."

[Wes Sutterfield]

"I hear ya," Wes replied.
A screen appeared on Wes's scanner. Two cannons affixed themselves to Talon's back.
"Battle Key, UNLOCK! Magna Key!"
"MAGNA KEY PROGRAMMING ENGAGED!"
Talon's wings folded up into twin particle cannons on his back.
"How 'bout THIS?!" Talon shouted.
"CONNECTION SEQUENCE COMPLETE! MULTIPLE TARGETS LOCKED!"
"Fire!" Wes shouted.
Electricity sparked between the twin prongs of the cannons as it charged itself with power. Then a mass of unstable energy erupted from the cannon, hitting multiple enemy units. As soon as the unstable blast came into contact with an enemy, it exploded with a large blast radius.
"MULTIPLE TARGETS ELIMINATED!"
"Gotta love the Magna Key," Wes commented.

[The King]

"It's a good weapon," Houston replied, "but can it handle close range?"

The bakugan army broke through the shield. Houston grabbed onto Sol, and Sol flew into the air, with Wes and Talon following close behind. Aerial units began to attack at close range, but Sol was able to fend them off with his Battle Key.

"Wes!" Houston called, "You two handle long range! We'll handle short range!"

"Houston. I think we may have to call Dragon Emperor, or at least do something to give us an edge," Sol said.

"Yeah, we need to call him, but we need more energy built up," Houston replied, grabbing an ability, swiping it through his Scanner, "Ability activate! Team Ability - Dragon Fire Shuriken!"

Sol spat some super nova fire into his hand, and molded it into a Shuriken. He jumped into the air, and threw the Shuriken, which arced through a line of enemies, destroying them.

"Wes," Houston said, "We gotta build up brawling energy. Use powerful abilities!"

[Wes Sutterfield]

"You got it!" Wes shouted. "Here's an appetizer!"
"Ability Activate! Volcanic Slash!"
Talon slammed his namesakes into the ground and a huge mound of rock exploded up out of the ground underneath some of the enemy forces knocking them off their feet.
"Now for the main course!"
"Ability Activate! Eruption Slash!"
Talon again drove his humongous claws into the ground. The mound of rock glowed red, then popped its top and rained lava onto all of the surrounding forces.
"That powerful enough for ya, or do we need to move onto dessert and after-dinner mints?" Talon asked.

[The King]

Houston's BakuScanner's lens glowed bright white, then shot out a bright beam of light into the air.

"I think they're ready for their just desserts!" Houston commented with a smile, "please welcome my Crasher Mech, Dextra Dragon Emperor!"

Sol's Crasher Mech shot down out of the skies and slammed into the ground. The gigantic robot let out a roar, and ran towards the army. It fired multiple lasers that slammed into most of the ground forces, which were vaporized almost instantaneously, but quickly replaced. Sol continued to fight off the close ranged forces, with Talon taking out farther away forces that weren't destroyed by Dragon Emperor.

"Wes," Houston said, turning to his best friend, "We gotta do something, or we're done for. Dragon Emperor can't hold them off by himself for long. We need a final push."

"Houston," Sol said, Sparta kicking a Terrafalconus into another one, sending them spiraling to the ground, "I think Talon and I can fuse. Our power would triple, and allow us to push back the army enough to cause a retreat."

[Wes Sutterfield]

"Sounds like a good idea to me," Wes called. "How 'bout you, Talon?"
Talon turned to Wes.
"Ok, I'm all for it!"
"I just hope the cybernetics hold up under the stress..." Wes muttered.
Wes turned back towards Houston.
"Ready when you are!"

[The King]

Sol glowed bright white, and touched Talon,s shoulder. The two bakugan were engulfed in a brighter light that continued to shine, until the light faded, revealing Sol and Talon's fused form. Talon's core was in the middle of Sol's chest, and his wings replaced Sol's wings. The Magna Key was attached to Sol's back, and his left claw became that of Talon's. In his right hand was the Universe Sword.

"I am Sol and Talon's fused form! You may call me Soalon!" Soalon called. Then, Soalon lunged at the area of the army not being attacked by Dragon Emperor. He slashed through the bakugan with his sword and claw, then jumped into the air.

"Fusion ability activate!" Houston yelled as he swiped a glowing ability through his scanner, "Ultimate Universal Fury!"

Soalon glowed white, then lunged again at the army, but this time with a little extra boost. Soalon was moving so fast, he was nearly invisible. The back line of the army began to retreat, but most of the army remained.

"Wes! Final push time! Hit 'em hard!" Houston yelled.

[Wes Sutterfield]

"Ok!" Wes called.
"Ability Activate! Core Burst!"
The dark power within Talon's corruped core combined with the universal power of Sol, creating an attack born of sheer power. The force of the blast obliterated the large portion of the army that was directly in the path of the attack and the remaining dark energy drained power from the remainder of the enemy forces.
"Nice one!" Wes shouted.

[The King]

The forces retreated, leaving through a portal from New Vestroia to wherever they go.

"CYBERNETIC SYSTEMS CRASHING," Talon's cybernetics notified, but the fight was won... Or so they thought. After Dragon Emperor vanished, believing himself that the fight was over, a final wave attacked the nearly immobile bakugan.

"Houston! Do something!" Soalon called.

"Bakugan, diffuse!" Houston commanded. The two bakugan split into two, and Sol launched himself at half of the remaining forces, destroying them with his Battle Key.

"Talon," Sol called, "Finish off those guys!"
