In the middle of the arena, Carson Michaels stood motionless. He then swiftly turned away to the side, and hopped onto the lift to take him to his position. Once he was at the top, he pulled his bakugan out of his pocket, and looked out at the arena. The gigantic area was built for brawling, and the new advancements in technology had made the arena more safe for spectators, with force-fields in place to deflect stray shots. Carson looked at the arena's ground. The surface of the arena changed from grey concrete to a yellow-golden material that pulsated with Haos power. The arena selection was at random, and had no real effect on the brawl, except to provide a more fun battleground. Gleaming platinum and silver buildings rose out of the ground, and reflected the light in the full spectrum of colors, creating an arching rainbow over the field. Carson looked back down at his bakugan, Haos Tritonus.
"Well," Carson said, "You happy? We are rising in the WC circuit too quickly, and now we have to battle a guy who calls himself 'Prince'."
"Don't blame me," Tritonus said, opening up in Carson's hand, "This just means that we are actually good."
"Oh well," Carson said, tapping a card on his BakuPad, "Gate Card, set!"
The field pulsated a bit. With the new tech, all cards had become digitized, but were still usable outside of advanced arenas. The pulsation just signified a Gate Card had been set.
Carson pulled his arm back, and threw Tritonus down onto the field, "Bakugan brawl! Haos Tritonus, stand!"
Tritonus opened up on the ground, and emerged in his monster form. He rose from the ground, his silver metallic skin gleaming, and the gold markings on his body shining. He resembled Cyber Dragon, but with legs and wings. He roared, and the arena shook.
"Let's go, Fuu!" Carson called, getting into his battling mood.

This was going to be simple, quite actually. His goal for becoming number one, has not completely failed as he still conquered the millions of other brawlers there are in Bakugan World Championship.
He was ranked what now, exactly? He didn't know the answer to that, it was somewhere in the top 20, but it wasn't number one. As long as that was the reality, Fuu would never stop trying to win every fight he got into, although with the amateurs, it wasn't hard.
His opponent today was a Haos Brawler. He has never liked the attributed associated with light. Light only meant happiness, peace, serenity; which were all things that Fuu hated for his whole life. Back on his planet, there was no Haos Brawlers, and if you were a Haos Brawler, you brawled in secret. Fuu was more into the wind. Being silent and gentle, yet being capable of shredding anything and everything down to little bits. That's why Fuu is a Ventus Brawler.
The title "Prince" wasn't only associated with his heritage on his home planet, but it also had to do with him believing he was the "Prince of Divine Winds". A title he believes he rightfully earned after tearing everything in a battle arena apart. Fuu looked up at his opponent, at the sound of his name, "Let's go, Fuu!" Fuu gave a smirk; it was time. He grabbed his bakugan and threw it onto the battle field floor. "Bakugan Brawl, Stand Ventus NeonStrike Aeon!"

"Alright, E.T.," Carson said, tapping a card on his BakuPad, "After I'm done with you, you're gonna want to phone home to tell them about the brawler on Earth that kicked your ass! Ability activate! Star Shock!"
"Carson, take it easy with the taunting. We are going against a top notch brawler here, not some everyday amateur," Tritonus said, charging the enemy.
Tritonus' body became coated in electricity that crackled out of every one of his markings. He rushed in front of Aeon, and began a series of electricity filled strikes, aiming for vital points, and hitting a few, but mostly the attack was to cause some muscle damage.
"Believe me, E.T.," Carson taunted, giving a cocky smirk, "This attack will get more powerful with every strike. Something to do with static electricity."

Fuu stared at his opponent. Was he being taunted? Was his opponent really lowering himself to the point where he had to start taunting his opponent? This was quite unbelievable. The fact that he was taunting wasn't technically the problem, the problem was how bad he was at doing it. Don't get the boy wrong, Fuu had his many glorious time taunting his opponent, but at least they were good taunts. Seriously, he was being called E.T. How awful could he be?
The comment about calling home, didn't bother Fuu much. He had known already that it wasn't a secret that he wasn't from this place called Earth, but seriously the guy needed to stop focusing on silly tactics and actually fight. "Such silliness will only lead to your demise." Fuu said in a calm voice. He didn't see a reason to yell and lose his cool, so he wouldn't yet. He would wait until it was needed.
Fuu looked at his opponent's bakugan attack. It was impressive, his strength, but with a ninja as an opponent, such strikes would be useless. Fuu tapped a card on his BakuPad. "Ability Card Activate! Heavy Weight - Neon Striker!" That was the only thing needed to counter his attacks. Each time he gets hit, Aeon glows, symbolizing that his strength is growing just a bit higher than his opponent's is.

"Aww, got nothing to say, E.T.?" Carson continued, "I thought someone as "smart" as you would think of a decent comeback!"
Carson looked down at his BakuPad. It detailed the ability's power to him.
"So, with each hit, you get stronger, eh?" Carson said under his breath, quickly returning to his original volume when he tapped his BakuPad, "Ability activate! Draining Space!"
Tritonus glowed silver, the light enveloping Aeon. The light began draining away Aeon's power as Tritonus' onslaught continued.
"C'mon E.T.," Carson goaded, "Or do you prefer PRINCE E.T.? Frankly, showing this much restraint can't be good for leading. If you can't show people who's boss, then why would you be allowed to lead?"

Fuu simply crossed his arms and smirked at his opponent. Truly a huge waste of his time. He didn't need to reply back to such childish games to prove how good of a leader he was. Instead, he would just let his brawling skills and his brawling partner explain for him.
Fuu tapped his BakuPad, "NeonStrike Style - Shadow Alter Ego." With that, his bakugan suddenly disappeared from his opponent's grip. Without a second passing, he reappeared behind Tritonus with five exact copies of him. They began to strike with multiple barrages.

Tritonus began taking blow after blow from the bakugan and its copies. He managed to turn around to face his opponents. The smart thing about this move is that he can now hit his opponents head on. The dumb thing about this move is that he's getting hit in the vital areas.
"Carson!" Tritonus called, "Give me something to use! Quickly!"
"Don't get your panties in a twist, Tritonus. I'm on it," Carson said, tapping his BakuPad. An ability appeared on the screen. "Ability activate!" Carson yelled, "Star Fury!"
The clones of Aeon dissipated, turning into white energy, and forming a protective barrier around Tritonus.
"Cool thing about this move, E.T.," Carson said, "Is that it takes your ability, and uses it against you! Now for the attack!" Carson tapped his BakuPad again, "Ability activate! Starlight Overdrive!"
Tritonus became coated in a brilliant white light. The light became intertwined with gold and silver. The only other color in the mixture was two blood red eyes staring at Aeon. The glowing bakugan launched itself at Aeon, and began a series of lightning fast punches.
"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, Tritonus!" Carson encouraged his bakugan, "Be like Muhammad Ali!"

Alright, it was time to calm some of this down. Not only was being called out of his name annoying, but seeing such a pathetic bakugan battling was even worst. Fuu tapped his BakuPad, "NeonStrike Style - Fire Illusion". Suddenly everything went black, then in only seconds, the scenery came back appearing to be covered in flames. Tritonus would began to feel the fire burning from his feet up. And the best part was, he would be incapable of moving, since the ability stunned his opponent. He grinned, "How's that for a counterattack, Carson?"

"Not good enough." Carson said as he was tapping an ability card. "Ability activate! Star Burn!"
Tritonus began glowing with a very bright light. He began to be surrounded by a ball of light as he continued to be affected by the opposing ability card. The light then spread out across the arena continuously, which nullified the ability and began to harm the opponent as he was already in Aeon's face since he was stopped from moving while he was continuously throwing punches. As it hits the opponent, white markers would appear on the bakugan on each place that it hits and then disappears.
"Keep it up Tritonus." Carson said. "Show this guy why we're going to be the best around here."

Fuu scratched his head and merely yawned at his opponent's counter attack. He didn't understand why, but he was expecting more. If that was all he was going to receive from his opponent, why should he struggle with the battle, why should he put effort in it? He pressed on his BakuPad, "Ability Activate! NeonStrike - Battle Bastion!" This was one of Aeon's simplest abilities. It's effect simply returned the battle to how it was when the round first started. Both bakugan stood face to face. "Come on now, make better moves, Carson."

"Better moves you say? Lets Brawl!" Says Carson. Carson tapped an ability on his bakupad. "Ability Activate! Triton Crusher!" Yelled Carson.
Tritonus leaped up into the air and tucked his knees into his stomach and put his fists forward. He then began rapidly falling to the ground right at Aeon. Tritonus smashed into Aeon and the impact made a huge crash and created a cloud of smoke. Everyone was anxiously waiting for the smoke to clear to see what happened. When the smoke cleared they seen Tritonus standing over top of Aeon who was laying on the ground.
"How's that for better move?" Carson said.

Hmph. The prince merely watched at this turn's counterattack. He had to admit, it was stronger than the one given last turn, and it was definitely more impressive this time. Fuu honestly had no more options in the brawl. It was either lose or use that weapon. The weapon that he was warned to never use again. He lowered his head in disappointment. When the smoke cleared, it was clear that Carson had won. Aeon returned to ball form, and shot to Fuu's hand.
"That was interesting ..." Fuu muttered before turning away. He lost, but not by that much. It was still an alright match - he wouldn't complain about the result. Next time, however, he wouldn't hold back. That was Fuu's promise to Carson.

Tritonus returned to ball form, and flew into Carson's outstretched hand.
"Aww yeah! We keep on moving up!" Carson said as he turned around and walked out of the arena. He stopped at a water fountain, and left to go back home.
