S4, E4: Beauty ... Or Else

There seemed to be an earthquake by the way the audience roared awaiting the two brawlers. Luke who had made his name in the arena was about to brawl someone by the name Tetsuro. He wasn't too excited and wanted to make it a quick finish. ''Ready Moonlight? We'll eliminate them''. The devious bakugan opened up in the palm of his hand ''Yes, We will show them no mercy'' .

Walking out on the field, Luke gave a smirk as he gave a single wave at the audience. The Underground was Luke's playground - no rules , no restrictions and no limits. ''Heh...Lets go...'' he commented as his smile turned into a deadly grin. With a single swift moment, the purple haired brawler pulled out a gate card and smartly landed it on the field. The field gave off a purple glow which soon faded.

''Go! Moonlight Butterfly!'' Luke sharply threw out the bakugan. As it stood - the bakugan transformed into an elegant yet deadly looking butterfly bakugan. Her beautiful wings stretched out to the width of the field. And a dark glow surrounded her. The audience was awestruck by the elegance. The display was enough to capture the attention of many spectators. Now what did the freak have to offer?

Tetsuro made his way to the arena. The underground is a place with no rules, which sounded to like to much fun to pass up. Him and his meteorite bakugan Vizgardrian had definitely heard of thier opponent. Luke cage, a darkus brawler with a mean streak. That didnt matter, just so long as the brawl satisfied him. When he entered the arena, he saw that his opponent had already set the gate." growing impatient, where you.?" tetsuro asked his opponent." rhetorical question. But how ugly can you get?"

In one swift motion, Tetsuro grabbed Vizgardrian and tossed him onto the gate card." look upon the beauty of this world. Stand vizgardrian." upon the stand command, vizgardian popped open and revealed his monster form. Though not beautiful, the occular beast had a aura of confidence around him." at least your bakugan is beautiful. But how about your fighting style?"

" I belive he allowed you the first move." the pyrus bakugan had one eye upon his head, and his jaw is secured under the area where the chin would be. He had two eyes hidden under the hands. He also has a fourth eye which only opens when his meteor fragment is attatched or when his ultimate ability is activated. As of now, he stood with his arms crossed around his chest.

''Freak''. Lucid couldn't help the comment. His opponent looked like a clown. And for someone to speak of beauty so highly - his bakugan was gruesome in looks. Luke just let the Clown's comments pass - they meant nothing to him coming from someone so lowly. His strategy was to eliminate his opponent completely while making it quick and keeping his calm.

''Ability Activate - Destructive Air Battle". The card from his hand shimmered a bright purple as the brawler tapped it on his bakupad. Moonlight Butterfly shot straight up in the sky and with one sharp movement - fluttered its wings that wiped up storm winds at Vizgardrian. Following that, the elegant butterfly began shooting out purple beams of energy at the Pyrus bakugan. They seemed like missiles as they would follow their target for a while before detonating. The arena seemed like a battle field and the winds could be felt as far as to the audience.

Tetsuro gave a chuckle at his opponents response." where do you go on calling people freaks? That's not nice." tetsuro then tapped a ability on his bakupad." whatever. Ability activate. Iris shockwave." he waved his hand, then pointed at moonlight butterfly. Vizgardrian dialates his pupil and then returned it to normal size. Afterwords a eclectric shockwave came from his eye, ditisipating the energy beams.

" I might not be the most beautiful thing in this world. But underestimating me might just mean your demise." he continued to stand in the same spot. This was how he fought. He would only move if compleatly neassacary. He then bowed in place as to mock his opponent.

Luke couldn't help but give a sigh. He wasn't amused by the clown's performance. His bakugan seemed to endure hits , but for how long? It was now time for a real display of power. Moonlight Butterfly just awaited orders still hovering over the battlefield. Luke just gave a slight smile. ''Gate Card Open. Hazardous Nightmare Realm'' The field began to glow a bright eye blinding purple. When the light faded , the field had been transformed into a graveyard like zone with smoke covering the field making it almost impossible to see through it.

And in the centre of it, stood the Pyrus bakugan - its feet trapped in a purple void slowly sapping away its power. ''Now Ability Activate - Chaotic Hazardous Waver'' . Moonlight butterfly flew higher up in the sky and took a deep breathe. The audience went silent as if waiting for something to happen. And then it did. The bakugan screeched loudly emitting purple waves at the bakugan. There was no escape this time. The waves, if hit would make the opponent suffer and already immobilized - the continuous waves would be merciless.

Tetsuro let out a loud yawn. He had made a good move in reality, tetsuro just loved to mock his opponent." ability activate. Eyeless buster." he said as he tapped the ability on his bakupad. Vizgardrian fired a lazer from his eye at the butterfly. The real point of the ability was the fact that it switched the gate to his own. Tetsuro had a plan." now that I have your attention, and the gate card. Gate card open! Zero eye."

When it was activated, a eyeball apeared in the middle of the room. It then unleashed devastatingly powerful winds that would slam Moonlight Butterfly into the the wall. The fun part was that moonlight was now green, signifying it's change to the ventus atribute." your move, my little...hmmm...." he sat for a moment. He wanted to say friend, but he really didn't like this guy. He then raised up his finger." GOT IT! You are my plaything for now."

Luke just let Moonlight take the hits. They were powerful as the butterfly struggled to stay in the sky - but just not enough to take her down. ''I'm fine!'' the elegant bakugan exclaimed as she took to the sky again. So his opponent wasn't a total loser. Yet they were so predictable and it was entertaining to hear the brawler boast as if he already won.''If your done...'' he paused for a minute as he took out another card and gently tapped it on his bakupad.

''Ability Activate - Secret Trap: Reverse Negation'' the field seemed to glow a bright purple and the eyeball collapsed from the sky. The field yet again was reduced to thick smoke and fog. It had seemed Tetsuro's move was for nothing. Vizgadrian was yet again trapped in a void. ''Now..'' Luke smiled slightly as if the end was near. The silent brawler took out another card ''Silent Midnight Striker''. As he called out the name - Moonlight Butterfly was shrouded in the thick smoke. And then out of no where - the beauty continuously began attacking the beast in quick movements from all directions.

Tetsuro scoffed at the brawlers attempts to truely cause damage to vizgardrian." y'know it's going to take so much more than that." then he tapped one ability on his bakupad. The pad glee red, signifying the abilities activation." go, glint blink." vizgardrian opened both of his extra eyes, releasing a blinding light in all directions. The point of this ability was to get Moonlight Butterfly of him.tetsuro tapped two more abilities." now comes the fun part. Double ability activate! Hopeless eye plus eye of the abyss."

Vizgardrian aimed one of his eyes at Moonlight. Then what happened next could only be told by Moonlightfalling over and writhing in pain." hopeless eye diverges the bakugan into a world of thier own fears. But, eye of the abyss diverges them so far into thier own conciosness, that they experience fears they never knew they had." tetsuro began spinning his finger in a circular motion." have fun with that ability. I always do." as he said that, he grew a ear to ear smile.

Luke just watched as the bakugan was voided off into a world of fear. Fear? It was Moonlight butterfly who washed the darkus brawler's fears off - there was nothing the bakgan feared herself. But the pain that accompanied the attack could not be ignored. The graceful creature was truly stunned for a while. But as the attack ceased, the Butterfly was up on her feet within moment.

Luke just smiled. He was confident in his bakugan's ability and endurance. And this display from the bakugan just heightened his confidence. So Tetsuro wasn't all talk - but he wasn't about to earn the brawler's respect anytime soon. ''Meteoroid fragment Initiate'' a fragment piece began to glow in the boy's hand and soon hovered around the bakugan and in a flash - Moonlight Butterfly was covered with crytals and her body was as hard as diamonds.

The second move was easy. The Butterfly swept down from the sky with high speed aiming directly at the beast's eye in an attempt to piece through. After that she made her way back to sky and opened her wings that covered the sky. With one sharp movement - she send down hell. Millions of sharp crystals began to pour down on the field not leaving and inch of the ground open.

" so that's what you want to try." tetsuro said, as nonchalant as ever. Tesuro just tapped another ability on his bakupad." let's use this. Ability activate. Retinae protector." vizgardrian again dilates his pupil and returns it to it's original size. But this time, a shield was generated, which was reflecting the crystal shards. This was a powerful defensive ability, but it couldn't be held for long." vizgardrian, you ok?"

" yeah, im good. Just a little weaker."the occular beast stated. Of course, this was a lie. He was much weaker than in the beginning, but he also knew he could last. Then one of his knees buckled in. He turned to face his brawler. " yo tetsuro, a real plan would help. He's not our average opponent."

Right as vizgardrian said that, the shield from the ability collapsed. The rain of crystals was too much and vizgardrian was sent to ball form. He then rolled over to tetsuros feet. All tetsuro did was pick him up and utter a laugh." wow. Time for a evaluation." he then placed his hand under his chin for a good few minutes. When he was finished, he raised his hand for compleate sillence." your fighting style is very ugly. Focusing on keeping the opponent on defensive, that's just boring. You werent worth my full power." he then raised his voice to adress the fans." I am now off to find a opponent with a beautiful fighting style. Until then, this is goodbye." he gave a bow to appeal to them, then walked off, out of the stadium.

Luke just listened and smiled as his brawler left the field with some lame excuse. A roar of applause was heard as people seemed to enjoy the battle nevertheless the winner. Turning his bakugan back to ball form, the boy raised his hands once to acknowledge the fans before exiting the field without another word.
