Season 4, Ep 12: Full Throttle Showdown!

With Round 2 of the Final Sixteen out of the way, the second Showcase Brawl is underway. Unlike the previous contest, only two brawlers are allowed to compete. However, this brawl involves no life gauges. Instead, the brawlers will compete in a best 2 out of 3 competition. The first brawler to win two rounds will win the brawl and go home with fabulous prizes. Who will win?

(This brawl is for NON-CANON brawlers. Please, read the rules before brawling. Only two brawlers may compete. First come, first serve. This is a normal brawl, you must follow the rules as you would in any other brawl. The only difference is that you must win 2 games in order to win. Also, you must roleplay when you brawl [and state the effects and G-Power at the end]. I would prefer good grammar but I don't expect perfection [See "Dark Thunder"]. As in Ep. 7, the two competitors will receive $1000. The winner will get a special gift from me [Yes it is a good gift]. Have fun!)

Ace stepped forward. "Who do you think my challenger would be, Emerald Dragon?" Ace said as Emerald Dragon flew in front of him and opened.

"It could be anyone..Hopefully someone worthy to fight." He replied.

"Okay. Gate Card, Set!" Ace yelled as he threw down his Gate Card. "Bakugan, Brawl! Bakugan, Stand! Rise, Shining Emerald Dragon!" Ace yelled as he threw Shining Emerald Dragon. He opened, and his dragon form appeared over the arena. He flew into the arena, and roared. The force of the roar made me step back. Ace nodded in approval. "Let's Go!" Ace said happily, ready for a good brawl.

Ryan stepped in. As he's completely bored...

Ryan: "Another showcase brawl. Well...at least I do have something to do. Missed brawling for quite a while since the first one."
Giranstorm: "I heard our opponent is pretty tough, an evolved Bakugan or somehow."
Ryan: "You ready to brawl partner?"
Giranstorm: "Why not."

Giranstorm flips himself back as a sphere. Ryan gets ready with his Double-Scope Launcher on his arm and puts his partner into.

Ryan: "Ready...and fire! Bakugan brawl! Dextra Ultima Giranstorm descend!"

Giranstorm did a perfect landing on the gate card and pops out from ball form into monster form, showing his Silver Armor and a bulky body, ready to battle. Giranstorm gave out a roar.

Giranstorm: "Nice to brawl you, let's see what you have got!"
Ryan: "I'm counting on you partner!"

CDS: "Dextra Ultima Giranstorm standed at 1200G. Current Score displayed:

Ace turned to see the dragon. "Don't let me down, Emerald Dragon! Now, Battle Gear, BOOST!" Ace yelled as he threw a battle gear. It opened, and Emerald Dragon had a set of golden armor formed around him. He roared in approval. "Let's see how you like Shining Emerald Armor!" Ace said triumphantly. Ace looked at Ryan, glad he was his opponent. He wasn't too powerful, yet he was nowhere near weak either. He was the perfect opponent in this battle. Ace planned to find his strategy early and continue to dodge his attacks.

Shining Emerald Armor: G-Power cannot be lowered or swapped.

Ryan wags his finger at the Ventus Brawler.

Ryan: "That would not help much. Let's show you what are the real powers of Giranstorm!"
Giranstorm: "Alright! Gimme some perfect aims to deal with!"

Ryan calls out a move to his CDS, as an ability card showed up on the screen.

Ryan: "Ability activate! Lock-on! Now do an attack!"

Giranstorm concentrates his aim at Emerald Dragon. He also launched his claw glowing rainbow-colored, then switches it to Purple. After that Giranstorm created an extremely large claw involving the power of the element of Time. He finally concentrated his aim and fired his attack.

Ryan: "Go get'em!"

CDS: "Lock-On: Sends back opponent's SW. Opponent's SW now sent back, opponent's SW effect is now inactive. Loop an ability card from the user's Bakupack.

Looped Gigafang Judgment: Increases the user by 600G and decrease opponent by 200G times the number of Bakugans on field."

Ace grinned after the good attack. "Nice one! Now, It's My turn!" I said as I flipped out an ability card, and showed it to my opponent. The card flashed white and it disappeared. "Ability Card, Activate! Emerald Punisher!" Ace said as Emerald Dragon grinned. He easily dodged the dragon's attack, and shot a searing blast of fire at the opponent's dragon.

"You were saying?" Shining Emerald Dragon said as he hovered in the air.

Emerald Punisher: Reflects 1 Ability and Can Negate another one.
I chose to reflect Gigafang Judgement and Negate Lock On.

Ryan was shocked when he knew this brawler was really tough. It was thinking his next move, when the searing shot was striking Giranstorm.

Giranstorm: "Do...something!!!!"
Ryan: "Hang in there partner! I got this!"

As Ryan commands his CDS, reacting immediately to save Giranstorm, with Giranstorm's favourite move.

Ryan: "You'll love this. Ability activate!"
Giranstorm: "Hover Drive!"

Giranstotrm quickly reacts to try block that searing shot of flame. He then flies up levitating in the air and circles around the opponent, trying to make the opponent dizzy and confused.

Ryan: "Give him a wrap!"
Giranstorm: "Choke on this boy! Here comes my wrap, Hey-yeah!"

CDS: "Hover Drive: The user gains advantage throughout the round. Decrease any 2 Bakugans ranged 0 - 400G. Decreased opponent by 0G and the user by 400G."

"Ability Card, Activate! Dimension Retreival!" Ace yelled as Shining Emerald Dragon used Hover Drive as well. Both Dragons attacked at the same time, so both of their attacks were useless. The two Dragons then were motionless, waiting for the other to attack.

Dimension Retreival: Take the card that your opponent just used and copy it.

The battlefield rose black smoke after the clash.

Ryan: "Woah, Giranstorm you okay?"
Giranstorm: "I'm fine here. It's a good thing to know that he actually used that card."
Ryan: "We gotta thank him for using that."

CDS: "Ryan has chose to skip. An advantage means that the opponent would take life gauge damage if a Bakugan owns an advantage and its G-Power is lower than the opponent. Opponent's Bakugan's G-Power is still higher than Ryan. However, there are no life gauges in this battle. Therefore, Ryan is still leading."

Ace grinned. "Go, Emerald Flame Torrent!" Ace yelled as Emerald Dragon absolutely obliterated the opponent with a vortex of flames. Emerald Dragon flew through the air, shooting more green fireballs at the cloud of smoke.

Ryan laughed.
