The Sages Reborn

Rez was up a little sooner than expected but couldn't really move. "That's pretty much it. Problem is, the only other Sage we got is this cat right here. He wasn't always like this. Only a Sage can seal them. Anyone can attempt to beat the three in battle." Rez winced as he felt them drawing nearer to Gimnasio. "They're following me. You'll have to leave me. Thanks to the energy Lye gave me, I should be able to lure them away from Gimnasio." Rez had managed to sit up at this point. "Don't know if I will make it back though. They seem out for blood."

[Riv Ulman]

Ryek wagged his finger at Rez." No, no, no. We aren't leaving you to the wolves." Ryek told the sage. He was still wagging his finger, and used a parent scolding their child voice. Ryek wasn't missing this fight." We've dealt with things like this. I for sure ain't missing this. Remember Gragion Reaper? He was a threat to the universe, and we got him good. If we go at these guys, we can win."

[Kaito Akimoto]

"I got one foot in the grave. Lye's a cat. Houston just came out of hiding. Carson doesn't need to be blamed for destroying his home. And..." Rez turned to Nakamura and Silan. "We just met these two." Rez turned back to Ryek. "I have no Bakugan to brawl with since these two are out." He handed the Phoenix twins to Houston. "Now, seeing as I actually have a plan for sealing the three and I need to be alone to do it...Leave me behind. Evacuate Gimnasio, somehow, while I try and lure them away. Knowing them, they'll come back here and slaughter everyone should I fail." Rez sighed. "Options are: I die and save everyone, we all die and save everyone, I die and don't save everyone or everyone dies. Option one is really the best course of action. I've lived far too long anyways." Rez tried not to talk much about what happened before he went crazy as Emperor of Gundalia...that was a time of misery and rage. A time Rez the Sage was more properly called Rez the...He couldn't even remember what the people called him. He didn't want to leave his friends but he'd rather do that than watch them die for his mistakes. Lye noticed first since he was sitting on Rez's lap and he felt something fall on him. Rez had begun to cry silently from remembering what he had done and thinking about all the friends he'd have to leave behind to make things right. "Please....Just...Trust me on this..."

Carson stomped his foot on the limo floor.

"Like hell you're dying protecting MY home!" Carson yelled, "Even if I die, I am NOT backing down! Tritonus and I didn't come all this way to do one measly press conference!"

"Trust me when I say this: Carson and I can EASILY hold our own in battle, even against the strongest opponents. What we lack in strength we make up in speed!" Tritonus added, solidifying the pair's will to fight.

[The King]

Houston took the bakugan from Rez, pulled a bakugan out of his pocket and handed it to Rez.

"I understand your concern, but trust me," Houston said firmly, "Sol and I CAN AND WILL FIGHT."

"Houston and I won't sit by as our home is destroyed. We are with Carson on this one," Sol said, his voice equally as firm as Houston's.

"The bakugan I am giving you," Houston said, "Is the former King of Vestroia. His name is Dextra Kingina. Sol was his successor before he decided to stay on earth with me. He is nearly as powerful as Sol was when he first evolved into his Universe Dragonoid form, but what he lacks in power he makes up for in agility."

Rez sat there motionless. He expected someone to react in such a manner but he wasn't sure who would. There was nothing else he could do. Rez closed his eyes. "There's no changing your minds, is there?" Rez let out a sigh of defeat.

[Riv Ulman]

Ryek did a nervous chuckle. At least they were going to work together." Not a chance Rez. We are about as hard headed as a ox. We will fight until we die man." Ryek assured the sage brawler. Now all they had to do was wait for these big lugs to get there. He then remembered the only person who didnt say anything on the matter." Silan! You joining in or am I gonna have to drag you into the battle?"

" dragging him might not be the best idea. What if he gets cut up by the ground?" Barracudas added in.

" it's a figure of speech Barracudas."

" oh. I knew that."

[Nakamura Takashi]

Nakamura scratched the back of his head. "Ummmm....I don't want to spoil the beautiful moment, but how do go about finding these things before they do anything that could put anyone in harm's way?" quickly asked the priest.

Rez took his glove off and showed the sigil burned into the back of his hand. "This will glow, along with causing some discomfort." Rez put his glove back and looked to the Bakugan given to him by Houston. "I'd guess we have about an hour to get as many people as we can to safety or to go to a place we can fight without worrying about civilians."

"Last time I checked, they have drills for this now, since it's such a common occurrence here," Carson said, looking at Houston, who was on his phone. About a minute later, an air raid siren filled the air. "And there we go."

Traffic came to a complete stop as people began running for cover in marked bunkers. The bunkers were deep enough to where people would be safe from any falling debris, and then some. The quantonium bunkers could take a beating, too, so if they were somehow dug out by a bakugan and attacked, they would be impenetrable. The crowds thinned as people took cover, and the only people out were the looters who would most likely perish at the hands of the dark bakugan.

"Keep driving, and don't stop," Carson commanded the driver, "These people will incinerate you at any given chance."

[Nakamura Takashi]

Nakamura rubbed his chin. Mei slowly opened her eyes. "Well....mabye that bunker might be a good place to run too?" blurted out Mei. Nakamura chuckled, and rubbed Mei's head. "That is a good idea, but only if it is in a forest or far away," replied Nakamura.

[Kaito Akimoto]

Rez cracked his knuckles and telepathically told Lye something about Rez's Sage lineage. He then turned to the others. "Leave the leader to Houston and I. The other two, Slanterix and Esterex, shouldn't be TOO much trouble. Slanterix is similar to Naga in appearance. He prefers to fight with illusions and trickery. Esterex has also been called Dashcraze due to her speed and insanity. She's a wolf-like Bakugan that can take a more lycan-esque form. All 3 can take human size and shape, which could make them Sages. I never fought or examined them long enough to find out." Rez took feathers out of his satchel and gave one to everybody. "Congratulations. You all get one free death. Should you die in this fight, these will revive you and transport you to my temple so you may recover. Do not try to return to the battle should this happen." Rez clutched one of 3 pendants around his neck and began thinking to himself. 'Well...Guess I'll have to use this.'

[Silan Jester]

Silan had kept quiet for a while because Houston terrified him to the core. Something about his power reminded him too much of the Joker Clan. He gulped hard and decided, finally, to speak.

"Look, I know we don't have time. And that you just met me. But if you guys can help me, then I can get two more bakugan under my wing. Ones that are the raw power equivalent of Houston over there." He wasn't sure if anyone was for the plan, but he wasn't waiting for refusals. Silan was going to sell them on this now. "One of them is a darkus bakugan. His name is Veiswick, he's built like an assassin. Tall, lanky, defined, and fast. No matter the concept, he's always fast. Like Light here, but even faster. He has a heightened sense of understanding and a sense of tactic and strategy that would be considered ungodly to some and that would just be him in a particularly unlucky situation. I've never seen him at his best because he isn't the most serious of people, but when he gets into a fight... My god is he scary.

"Then we have Xanitt. He's even more practically a god than Veiswick, pardon my grammar. He's a pyrus bakugan. His specialty is weapons, and is ambidextrous in practically everything. He can even dual wield two handed weapons, but that's not the worst. Weapons that he uses are even more powerful, like they are submitting their full power to only him and are willing to expose themselves to pain for his sake. It's like his weapons are alive. In fact, rumor has it that he has a living weapon. It's called Caledfwlch. Nobody knows where it came from, or even what attribute it is, just that it's really powerful. It can change its form to that of any sword in existence, and even some that have yet to exist. Xanitt's sword skills make Veiswick's strategic ability look like a child's painting in comparison, but Veiswick's speed has always been much faster than Xanitt's. Those lucky enough to be near the Joker Clan have even said that Veiswick was just faster than the time it takes Caledfwlch to change form.

"Someone has to send me back there. If I can get a hold of the Joker's then Rez won't even need to lift a finger."

[Ryek Marachion]

Ryek raised a eyebrow at Silans information. Near-god like bakugan with enormous power. That could help. But there was one problem." We don't have the time. According to the last e.t.a. Rez gave puts us about a hour from when these things are gonna arrive. We don't have the time to waste waiting for you to get these bakugan. Especially if you have to finesse some sort of deal with them." He was trying his best to stay calm in this situation. Ryek had no idea if he could beat even Tritonus in battle, and these things were stronger than Sol. But like he had said, they have no time to wait and get stronger." Why do you think Rez was going to sacrifice himself, to get us time. But there's no way in hades I'm letting him go. If your lilly-livered and don't wanna fight, then go to one of the bunkers and hide. But now its time to steal your courage and save the universe."

Rez looked at Silan. "Where exactly do you need to go?" Rez had plans, many plans. Sending Silan to get these near-god Bakugan was not one of them. "I might be able to get you there and still have time."
