The Sages Reborn

[Kaito Akimoto]

Rez shook his head. "Since when is 7017 too young?"

Luke blinked. He was honestly surprised by the sudden attack. "And now your lives are forfeit." Luke had been distracted for 3 seconds and that was long enough. Rez had gotten behind him.

The Sage slammed the pommel of his sword into Luke's back, causing the breath to be knocked out of the boy. Both Slanterix and Esterex tried to attack Rez but he had already grabbed Luke and moved. There was about 20 feet between Slanterix/Esterex and the gang. About 27 feet in the opposite direction from Slanterix was Rez and Luke.

[The King]

Houston threw out Sol with a quick "Bakugan brawl!" Sol appeared out of ball form and slammed into Slanterix and Esterix with a double clothesline. The bakugan fell to the ground with a large thud as Sol moved past them. Sol stopped and moved to face the bakugan as Houston activated his Battle Key. Sol became clad in the Universe Armor and armed with the Universe Sword and Shield. He stared down the bakugan as they got up slowly, and Houston ran towards Rez, his right hand flaming while his left hand was coated in electricity. Fire flowed from his feet augmenting his speed. When he was close enough, Houston threw an electrified punch into Luke's face, sending him flying.

"Respect your elders," Houston said as the earth around him began to float. Using three magics at once while he was this out of practice was dangerous, but it was too necessary and felt too good to pass up.

[Nakamura Takashi]

Nakamura smirks, and turn his head towards Mei. "Time to get to work!" yelled the priest. Mei nods. She moves so fast that she appears behind Esterex. She wraps her arms tigt around the bakugan. Then Mei moves again to the far left side of the soon to be battlefield. Nakamura opens his left hand out. An odd staff with five gems would appear in his hand. He then reaches into the left side of his jacket with his right hand. Nakamura pulls out a white piece of paper. The priest looks towards Mei and nods. To which Mei nods back. Nakamura then throws the paper to the feet of Mei, and yells out, "Construct barrier." An invisible forcefield opens up in a 5 meter radius around the Esterex. Nakamura then throws the staff towards the barrier. As it lands into the ground he yells, "Reinforce barrier." An odd white snake comes forth from the can and travels along the ground until it meets the barrier. The snake sinks into the ground and is replaced by a white line that connects the staff and the barrier. Mei would then reappear next to Nakamura. He sighs deeply, and then turns to Mei. "Im sorry, but i think we might need to open both the seals," sadly states the priest. Mei chuckles, and kneels down. "Its my job as your fimilar to obey, but in my own opinion it might put too much strain on your body," replies Mei as she hangs her head.
"And it is my job to protect the people from that which may destroy them from the inside," rebuttaled Nakamura. He would extend his hand until it hovered over Mei's back. "Open seals of the five elements," chanted Nakamura as turned his left hand 90 degrees counterclockwise. He then moved his hand down a bit. "Open seal of primordial energy," chanted Nakamura. He again would turn his left hand 90 degrees. A sharp gust of wind would gush forth from the two demon hunters. Nakamura would plung his hand into Mei right where the spleen would be. He pull out a small marble. Nakamura tosses the marble into the air. As it reaches the apex of its flight, a large fivepoint star surrounded by a circle would appear above it. A large serpent dragon (aka a chinese dragon) would come forth from the magical symbol. Its scales would change color depending on how the light hit them. Its size is monstrous. The air would fill with the feeling of hope. "Lets get this ball rolling. Demon's come to me," yells Nakamura as he walks towards Esterex.

[Ryek Marachion]

Ryek retracted his water tendril for a moment so he could send out his own bakugan. He picked two bakugan balls out of his pocket and tossed them." Bakugan brawl, lets do this Azure Barracudas and Chaos Barracudas." Ryek called out as his bakugan appeared in their monster forms. Ryek quickly tapped the right buttons to activate both of thier respective battle keys. Azure barracudas' body morphed to that of Sclarex Ultimatum's cosmetic effect, while Chaos Barracudas' face became clad in the Mask of The Demon Lord. Azure Barracudas ran down Slanterix while Esterix was the target of Chaos Barracudas.

Meanwhile Ryek quickly reformed his tendril and lashed out with it, all the while giving Rez a puzzled look." You're really that old, you don't look a day over 30." He commented before pulling his attention to the problem at hand.

"Let's go, Tritonus!" Carson yelled as he threw in his bakugan, "Bakugan brawl!"

Tritonus opened up into his monster form and flew above Slanterix. Carson grabbed the Meteorite Fragment on the necklace he was wearing and yelled, "Meteorite Fragment, ENGAGE!" The fragment glowed white and disappeared, reappearing as a part of Tritonus. Starblazer X was good to go.

"Ability activate!" Carson yelled, "Tribeam!"

Tritonus opened his mouth and released a three colored beam at Slanterix, who was still motionless on the ground. The beam hit Slanterix square in the chest, and drove the dark bakugan further into the ground. Tritonus jumped back, going light speed, and appeared next to Sol, ready to attack again.

I wish I could help Houston, Ryek, Nakamura, and Rez, Carson thought, But I can't do what they do...

'Slurp, ting, slurp, ting.'

L (short for Lawliet) was eating away at a delicious Sundae as he was watching this fight commence. He was a little curios as to why they were fighting, however. He did despise un-necessary disputes. He was sitting on a large branch on a tree, as if it was a tree itself. His legs criss crossed, sitting in an indian style, they called it. His guardian Bakugan, Darkus Draco Adeus, leaning against his neck, while on his shoulder, pretending to slip, but it wasn't fooling him. His bakugan was a practical reflection of L. Very chill, laid back, and always sarcastic. Just like L. 


" You awake? "


"That slurping of yours is getting immensely annoying, you airhead."





"Definitely awake. You need to stop that, it's not healthy if you're to much of a lazy pig to do anything."




" Says the Sundae eating freak sitting in a tree. "



" You would know wouldn't you? Doom dimension dropout. Keep quiet, I'm trying to watch the
show. Go fetch us some popcorn."




" I'm not your butler, and you're more lazy then I am."




" You could of fooled me, sitting on my shoulder is half of what you do. "




" Excuse me? Throw me onto a field and I will be the one attacking you, not the enemy."



" You're right. It's more then half of what you do, my fault. "



" I'm taking another fake nap, any objections? "


" Go right ahead, winged dragon lard silo "



" Excuse me? "



" Nothin' go back to having dreams about female bakugan. "



" Jealous? "



Both Draco Adeus and L. chuckled in amusement with their fun little disputes. Although they seemed like friction itself, they were practically meant for each other. They do battle and train together as if it was made for them. They were more lucky then both of them knew.





This entire thing was interesting. Being unnoticed, he was watching from the shadows, as his dull crimson eyes shined through the darkness like two black opals stood out in the light. His stare was ice cold, his personality was solid, but laid back. Always observing, always correcting, always deducing things that didn't need to be. He was wearing a pair of dark grey sweat pants, a black long sleeved shirt, and black spiky hair. (As shown in my profile picture)


He sat there, only observing, because that's what he usually did. He observed. He was a very skilled brawler indeed, but never one to start fights unless he found the person he wanted to fight, absolutely....curios. And no, not curious. Curios, the definition of something intriguing, rare, and unusual. L doesn't just does things, he thinks them out. 


He sat his sundae glass bowl down, and licked his fingers, as if sucking the cheese off his fingers after eating a bag of Cheetos. He gently placed both of his firm, and solid hands on his sturdy and strong legs, and put one forearm up, along with his hand, to place his head gently against as he watched. He looked bored, but he was actually....interested. He wanted to see how this one went. Regardless of whether it turned out to be meaningless or not.

[Silan Jester]

Veiswick's eyes darted around as he mumbled to himself, strategizing. He saw his opening and vanished, surprising Esterix when he appeared airborne at his head, falling slowly. Then Xanitt zoomed down from the side, catching Esterix in the jaw with an outstretched foot. The blow made the earth beneath him buckle, but that wasn't the end of it. He unleashed an ungodly combination of punches and kicks and elbows and knees, and a few hundred strikes in, he ended it with a jumping tornado kick, spinning full circle to make sure the last attack struck Veiswick. The attack sent them both flying.

"D0N'7 G37 1N MY W4Y V!! Y0U'R3 RU1N1NG MY FUN!!!" He shouted at him. They were strong, but dysfunctional.

[Nakamura Takashi]

Nakamura sighed deeply. He rubbed his temple with his left hand. "Im guessing I'll need a stronger barrier if those things can get to my prey. Mei! Can you bring our prey back to us," yelled Nakamura towards the large serpent dragon. Mei gave a slight nod towards the priest. She then flew towards Esterix, and picked the bakugan up with her front arms. While Mei was grabbing the bakugan, Nakamura was preparing a barrier. He let out a small chant, kneeled, and then touch the ground with his left hand. He would yell, "Five point barrier construct!" A five point star, with a cricle encompassing it, would extend from his hand. Mei then dropped Esterix into the center of the star. A hemisphere that was slightly opaque would start to form. Its radius was 75 meters long. Nakamura then yelled out, "Reinforce. Permeable equals demoms and humans!" This ment that only demons and humans could pass through. "Its your turn Kurosawa," stated Nakamura. A suited man appears next to the priest. ((Yes im locking esterix off. Just wait a few post cause Nak's gonna make a huge mistake which will let one of you be a huge hero.))

[Kaito Akimoto]

Rez flickered (moving at a speed that tricks most into believing you're where you just were) and slammed against Luke, causing him to fly into a tree. Luke caught himself on a branch and let a dark aura flow from him to it. Standing beside his new ally, Luke had turned the tree ointo a treant.

Rez smirked and plunged his hand into the ground, flowing his own aura into the ground. "A treant? Please. Child's play." A golem formed a few feet from. The golem was rock and what appeared to be magma. "Mr. Tree, meet General Mountain." The golem charged the treant. Rez tossed his sword to Houston. "Go nuts. Focus energy into it when you swing and you canmmake a dimension tear for you to use to get around a battlefield."

Esterex was enraged. Not one day free and another had already trapped her. "Let. Me. GO!" Esterex slammed against the barrier to no avail.

Slanterix was faced with the rest of Rez's ragtag group of fighters. "So. Let's begin." Slanterix surrounded himself with an auraof dark purple fire. "First, the court Jesters." Slanterix moved at speeds near Mach 1 and marked Veis and Xan with a patch of fire similar to his aura. Afterwards, he took to the skies and kept his on the armored Dragonoid called Sol. Soon the patches would take effect.

[Ryek Marachion]

Ryek nodded at Barracudas, signaling that he's leaving the fight with Slanterix to him for now. Turning to the problem at hand, Ryek found himself low on options." Anybody know a source of water around here? I like the water tendril and all, but I'm gonna need all i can muster to be of any sort of help here." He asked anyone willing to help.

In the meantime, Barracudas found himself being ignored. After being the last of the bakugan to be addressed, he was offended. Barracudas thought quickly of a move and begun to unleash it. He charged up a razor blade like projectile on his hand, then launched it at the bakugan, hoping to get him while he was distracted by Sol.

[The King]

Houston sliced a dimensional tear in the ground, and turned to Ryek. "Use this. I opened a tear to a reservoir." After that, Houston ripped a second one, and charged into it, appearing behind Luke. Houston thrusted his weapon at Luke, but the attack was dodged, and Luke was in the air above them. Houston cursed under his breath and looked towards Sol.

"Alright, Sol," Houston yelled, throwing a glowing card at Sol, "Give 'em hell! Ability activate! Phantom Universe!"

The card hit Sol and a pulse of purple energy rippled across him. Sol turned invisible, and the clank of his armor was muffled to an almost nonexistent thud with each step. Sol flew into the air, eliminating that minor drawback, and charged at Slanterix, slashing and flying around.

"Come on, Tritonus!" Carson yelled at his bakugan, "Do something! I know you have the power in you!"

Carson, you must fully trust me and my power, like I trust you and yours!" Tritonus responded.

"I do trust you, Tritonus!" Carson yelled back, grabbing a card, "I am putting all my faith in you!"

At the uttering of those words, Tritonus began to glow in a golden light. The light was bright and constant for a few seconds before flickering with red, green, blue, purple, yellow, and brown. The light expanded like an exploding star, and in the center of it was the new Tritonus. His body was now a solid gold with his markings taking on the colors of the light. His Meteorite Fragment had changed, too, looking more streamlined and battle ready than it did before.

"I am Magna Tritonus!" Tritonus yelled, "And now you shall feel my power!" Tritonus charged at Slanterix, his body disappearing and reappearing behind the enemy bakugan.

"Longer light speed..." Carson said in bewilderment, looking down at the card in his hand. The card began to glow gold and split into two cards. The light faded after a couple of seconds, and in Carson's hands were the keys to Tritonus' new power.

"Double ability activate!" Carson and Tritonus said in unison, "Legendary Ability - Magnum Tribeam plus Legendary Ability - Galactic Divebomb!"

Tritonus released a much more powerful version of his Tribeam attack on Slanterix, sending the bakugan flying through multiple trees, and slamming him into the side of the mountain. Tritonus then flew up into the air, and became coated in a golden fire. He charged at light speed towards Slanterix, and slammed into the bakugan, driving him through the mountain itself. Tritonus then appeared above the still flying Slanterix, and slammed a downwards double hammer strike on him, driving the bakugan far into the ground, immobilizing it.

[Ryek Marachion]

Ryek looked over at Huston, then at the hole he created. If it was what he said it was, Ryek was really in the game." Thanks man. Now its time for something I haven't done but once." He said as he pulled water out of the hole, swirling it around him. After building up enough water, he begun to mold it. First came huge water spikes protruding out of the back. Then a tail and four giagantic tendrils, two on each side. Then came a crocodilian face and snarling teeth. Finally came black streaks down each tendril and its head, creating two eyes. After its formation, the water beast roared, shaking the earth moderately." Now here comes Mizu no Kami: Rirīsu-jū" Ryek said, lifting his left arm up and slamming it down, causing one of the tendrils to do the same.

Barracudas looked at Silan and simply wondered his purpose. Maybe he was supposed to bring Xanitt and Viesswick under control. Barracudas knew his darker counterpart was thinking the same thing, if not worse. He returned his attention to the dark bakugan he was supposed to fight. He tapped the runes to activate his Burst Fist ability. His hand glew green and he rushed at Slanterix, looking to get his piece of the action.

Meanwhile Chaos Barracudas was buying his time until he would have to strike. He wanted to suck power from as many people as he could, but he wasnt able to keep up with the battles speed. Once it was close enough, he would unleash his power.

[Kaito Akimoto]

The fight had gone for hours and was still going. Luke, who had merged with Slanterix and Esterex, was the only one with fight left in him. Rez and Lye came to a decision. Rez got everyone except himself, Lye, the Phoenix twins, Makai, Kagayaku and Luke into a dimension hole that left them at his temple. Afterwards, the Sages ran off with Luke at their heels. They led him into a hole to a wasteland of the Sage dimemsion. The Phoenix twins, Makai and Kagayaku fought Luke while Rez and Lye prepared the final blow. After an hour, the six latched onto Luke and flared their power. Their bodies were pushed beyond the limit. With a final, telepathic 'Goodbye' and 'God Speed', they were gone. Luke, the Sages, half the Sage dimension just gone...leaving behind a void. Sage Dimensia and Rez's staff appeared at Houston's feet. It was this that told Houston what happened. A funeral was held, Silan consoled Kanji and Phaeton became a hermit. No one knew exactly what happened, but no more Sage brawlers existed. Even years later, none arose.
