Episode 12: Shootout

[Allen Silva]

Allen stared a Markus, wondering what his endgame was. He attacked Gorem and Ahio. But it seemed to help thier cause, as Gargulion launched a attack on Sakura. This attack seemed extremely strong, as it had enough force to push Sakura into a crater. Wether it did any damage was questionable. But that wasnt his first concern. Allen turned to his bakugan partner." You ok Gorem?"

" yeah. But I got to admit that I hurt a lot more than I'm used to." Gorem managed to spit out the words, but in his voice you could hear hesitation and weakness, something he had never felt before.

" can you hold him off for a couple minutes while I bring backup?"

" I don't think I'll be needed, but yeah."

Allen used his phone to try to get a hold of Noland. The situation was bad at best, but Noland could turn it around." Noland, we need you here ASAP. Me, Seiki and Markus are battling Daniel." Allen frantically relayed." Honestly he's beating us black and blue. Bring the rest here too. It wouldn't hurt to have some backup. Seriously, We are up the creek without a paddle and sinking fast." Allen ended the call there, hanging up and getting back to the battle.

[Noland Hardy]

"This is actually pretty good. It's expensive, but it's good," Noland remarked as he was enjoying food and a vanilla milkshake.

Noland, Tank, and Tracy were sitting down at the Johnny Rockets restaurant located inside of a train station called Union Station. They finished their visit to the Capitol earlier and visited the station for lunch. It was within walking distance and took no more than 10 minutes to make it there with all of the streets they had to cross. Tank and Tracy was fully intent on eating there while Noland stood there confused since he was not familiar with the location nor Johnny Rockets. They recommended he join them, so he did even though the prices were high, but he didn't seem to regret the purchases.

While they were eating, they had a discussion on how they were going to go into the first meet that was scheduled to take place in a few days. Each of them had a list of who was going to present at the event, and they were delighted that Allen, Markus, and Karen were not on the list for where they were going; however, Tank warned that there were multiple threatening schools that were going to be in attendance and even pointed out which ones they were.

"It seems like all of those schools have high battle efficiency ratings then, huh?" Noland asked. They then started talking about the massacre that took place at a studio the past weekend, bringing the mood down a little once they found out Daniel Andersen was responsible for the deaths of that many people. "Wasn't that the cute singer some people have been talking about at the Complex?" Noland asked when he saw a picture of Seiki in the article.

Drago turned toward Noland slightly annoyed. "You know you're caught in a weird situation when you call a girl cute when literally no one at the Complex described her in such a way." Drago's comment brought Tracy's mood down a little, but him and Noland were not aware of it.

Suddenly, they heard people screaming upstairs as they stormed back into the building for some odd reason. "Seriously...this is not the first time someone has been shot in D.C., people," Noland said to himself, completely disregarding anything they could have been running. A few seconds later, he feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He picked it up and noticed that Allen was calling him. He answered it and heard a quick, frantic call telling him that Daniel was causing trouble again and was hung up on before he could respond to it.

"I can't believe that even he can't deal with Daniel. He's just as strong as I am," Noland wondered. Fortunately, Noland was just about done with his meal, so he didn't waste any of the money he spent, which was a good thing considering the restaurant's price model. "Sorry to interrupt, but Daniel is obviously back, and he's pretty close to where we are since we're not far from the Capitol bulding. We gotta go." He got up from his seat and began sprinting towards the stairs and out of the building, figuring that they would follow him. "Alright, Drago! Let's roll!" Noland shouted as he threw the Bakugan and jumped on his back as soon as he stood in monster form.

Noland reached the Capitol building in a short time due to Drago's speed. They observed the battle and saw Sakura holding her own against three Bakugan. While she was occupied with them, Drago entered the battle abruptly and launched a surprise attack on the sorceress. "Inferno Buster!" Drago roared as he fired a stream of compressed solar and Pyrus at Sakura from the side, causing a massive explosion and sending her flying. "Ha! Didn't block it that time, did you, b-" Drago said before he was cut off, referencing the first time he used the attack against them at the school.

"Alright!" Noland shouted at Drago before he said the last word. He jumped off of the dragonoid's back and stood next to Allen, Markus, and Seiki. "Honestly," Noland remarked as he faced Daniel. "I'm finding it difficult to not want to kill you just as much as Tank does. What is the reason behind this many deaths? You don't feel bad at all for taking their lives?"

[Tank Stryker]

"Dammit," Tank muttered under his breath as he got up from the table. He dropped forty dollars on the table, enough to cover everyone's ticket plus the tip, and rushed off, "Those two owe me fifteen bucks each..." he mumbled as he grabbed Gladion off his shoulder. Running out the front of Union Station, Tank wound up and threw Gladion into the street. "Bakugan brawl!" he yelled as the warrior bakugan stood. Gladion picked Tank up and put him on his gigantic shoulder before bounding off in the direction Drago went.

Jumping from building to building, Gladion moved fast towards the Capitol building, only stopping on the side of the W Hotel to get a better view of the battlefield. After getting a satisfied view, Gladion launched himself into the battle with Tank on his shoulder. Tank swiped an ability through his BrawlX, "Ability activate!" he yelled, "Weapons Cache - Crossbow!"

A crossbow fell from a moving portal above Gladion, who equipped himself with it immediately. Looking down the sight, the Aquos bakugan launched a bolt at the flying Sakura, embedding itself the Darkus bakugan's thigh before exploding. The explosive tips were something Tank rarely used, as they were mostly for groups of enemies, but he felt like there was an exception in order today. The Darkus bakugan flew in the direction the bolt had been shot, away from the original site of the battle. Gladion landed next to Drago, and put Tank down next to Noland.

"What's going on here?" Tank asked, angrily, "And Hardy, you and White owe me thirty bucks!"

[Tracy White]

Tracy was still enjoying her food when she, Tank and Noland's presence were requested for by Allen. "Aw, man." Tracy said, expressing her unhapiness, "I was just getting more acquainted with the delicious food." she concluded, while cleaning her lips with a serviette. All three left the eating table an dashed off to the scene of battle in the order: Noland, Tracy, then Tank. Noland mounted on Drago, Tracy on Skystar, and Tank on Gladion.

On arrival, Drago made a quick attack on Sakura by launching a blast of fire at her. Tracy on the other hand, landed on the battle site with Skystar, after which, Drago and Noland landed.
"This is rather unusual, Noland. Don't you think?" Tracy asked.
Just then Tank and Gladion arrived, with Tank immediately using an ability on Gladion which made a great impact, just like Drago's. Tank didn't even wait for anything or even anyone before yelling at Tracy and Noland, telling them that they owe him.

"Hmph! What a ridiculous statement is that, Tank. We're in a battle and all you talk about is money? I owe you nothing." Tracy replied angrily. She didn't want to be distracted by Tank, so she faced the battle. "You're go, Sky." Tracy informed, and with a quick reply, Skystar yelled, "I'm ready when you are, Tracy! I'm ready to take her out!"
"Alright! Ability card activate! Flare Striker!" Tracy yelled while placing the ability on her gauntled.
"You like magic, Sakura?" Skystar rhetorically asked, "Now, you're gonna have a taste of your own medicine!"
On Skystar's hand appeared a magic staff colored gold. Skystar had a good grip on it before stretching out her hands, releasing a shockwave. The shockwave was directed at Sakura, and as it reached her, Sakura got blasted into a nearby tree. That wasn't all. Skystar created an eletromagnetic forcefield around her to restrict her movements and also created an energy cage which confined Sakura, constantly dropping pixie dusts on her, decreasing Sakura's strength.

[Akane Huomoto]

"You're quite pathetic, needing help take these pests on. And back there you were doing all this big talk about taking them on like they were nothing." Akane snorts at Daniel, appearing out form the shadows with Torahu in her beast form, stalking behind her. "I'm telling you Daniel, these actions will get your gravely injured sometime in your life of a terrorist. So don't go whining like a little kid when you get hurt later on as I drag you back," She says teasingly as Torahu laughs, sitting beside the Pyrus user.

Akane looks around and shrugs, "They don't seem too hard," Torahu reverts back to her toy form and flys into Akane's hand, who caught her and walks up beside Daniel to face the resistors, all six now present. "Let's go Torahu, Abbadon," Akane says, throwing the two said bakugan into the battle.

Torahu jumped in with her her blue fire glory, making the flames dance on her white pelt, and Abbadon was growling at the opponents, a dark aurora surrounding the demonic beast.

"Now now Daniel, I don't need you throwing all of us off just because you want your bakugans to thrive in your darkness, so don't try to effect us to much," Akane sighs, referring to Makoto who has yet to appear.

[Daniel Andersen]

"You have some nerve, Akane. I don't recall asking you for any help." Daniel coldly replied to Akane and proceeded with his tactic.
His gauntlet started glowing in dark-purple once again as Sakura was waiting for an ability to be used. Before activating anything Daniel snapped his fingers and a mysterious shadow appeared of nowhere knocking out Skystar and Gladion letting Sakura resist Skystar's ability.
A couple of seconds after shadow jumped in front of Daniel revealing itself to be Belphenoid.
"Sakura, here it goes! Ability activate! Silver Wind!" yowled Daniel as he rose his gauntlet which continued to glow in dark-purple charging up Sakura's holy wand.
Sakura's energy was quickly restored thanks to the ability activated. She rapidly jumped to the middle of the battlefield and charged up her wand to a new level of power.
"I hope you like silver, kids." Sakura added sarcastically as her wand started to overload with energy. "Here it goes"
A blast of energy was released from her wand in a form of a vertical tornado that hurled towards Resistors' Bakugans. Tornado managed to blast away all except Drago and Gorem who were heavy enough to resist the powerful storm. Still, Daniel's tactic was not to blow them away in the first place. It didn't take long time for Resistors to realize that their Bakugan were glittering and their bodies were turning into pure elementar silver. 
Drago and Gorem were still somehow resisting thanks to their heavy structure, but other Resistors' Bakugans were quickly turning into Silver.            

[Allen Silva]

Allen held up his hand, and activated the card placed in it. The card glew a brown color, eminating a bright light." Great time for this one. Ability activate! Powers polish." Allen called out the abilities name, signifying the activation and resolving of its effects." Now we get to shake the ground with our might, ey Gorem?"

Gorem's rock body begun to get shinier and shinier. As the sheen increased, so did the energy surrounding the bakugan, returning from his previous Rush Wrecker attack. Gorem sat in wait as the energy increased, until it reached its largest size, then charged at his target. Yet this time, instead of going after Sakura, Gorem went after Toharu and Abbadon." Without a doubt. Now no more talk, lets win this."

[Noland Hardy]

Noland was confident in their victory as soon as they arrived there since Daniel was quickly getting overwhelmed by their interference; however, this viewpoint soon changed once he saw Akane enter the area and summon both her Bakugan and Abbadon. "Uh oh," Noland accidentally said out loud, revealing his concern for the state of the battle. The matter escalated to another level when both Skystar and Gladion were repelled by a mysterious Bakugan that was later recognized as Belphenoid. "We might be in serious trouble here. I'm sure Makoto isn't too far away with Ahrangi and Asmodeus either," Noland said in his mind this time. Although he was paying attention to the high threat level they posed just by being together, Noland disregarded any hint of fear of getting annihilated in order to prevent these people from getting hurt.

Sakura then activated an ability that launched a tornado at all of their Bakugan. Drago and Gorem were able to resist the effects of the tornado very easily using their weight. The others were not as fortunate since they were all launched backwards. Noland looked back at them and discovered that their bodies were being covered by a silver-like substance that could end up immobilizing them if not taken care of in a timely manner. "Ability activate! Ability Breaker!" Noland commanded as he placed the card in his gauntlet. A bright light flashed around the area that nullified the effects of the opponent's ability. While Drago himself was not really hindered in any way, Noland still activated the card to get his teammates out of the position they were in. "Pick up the pace if you haven't already, everyone. We need to get this guy out of here now," Noland warned.

[Makoto Nakashima]

Just as Noland activated his ability Makoto appeared behind Daniel and Akane.
As he was walking to his teammates he was followed by Ahrangi and Asmodeus in their monster forms. "Ahrangi, Asmodeus, go!" Makoto declared as two figures rushed at Resistors and their Bakugans. "Ability activate! Stance: Karate!"
Ahrangi was making swift movements on the battlefield effortlessly avoiding any chance of being hit by any of Resistors' Bakugans and reached Gorem first. He focused energy in his arms to perform a karate chop on Gorem's head sending him flying towards Dragonoid. Gorem crashed into Dragonoid making them both fall down. As Ahrangi kept on fighting Gorem and Dragonoid, Asmodeus charged at Ahio and Gargulion.
Makoto turned to Markus and said quietly: "You wanted to see me? Here I am."
Asmodeus jumped aside of Gargulion to gain a good angle of firing. 
"Ability activate! Infernal Echo!" Makoto yowled as his ability was activated. Asmodeus rose his head towards Gargulion and screeched so loud that he actually produced a horrific blast wave.
Blast wave hit Gargulion before it could move out of the way. 
Gargulion was hit from aside and it was sent into Ahio crushing them both in the wall.

[Seiki Maki]

"Geez, this is going to be a drag," Seiki whines, referring to the additional terrorists with their monstrous bakugans as how she wanted this to be other and done with as she gets out another card to play. "Get ready for a windy frenzy, Ability Activate, Turbulence!"

The said ability card made Ahio quickly jump into the air, avoiding Gorem making her into a bird-pancake, and using all her strength to flap her wings with the silver slowly crawling up her feathers. She quickly flaps her wings to send three tornadoes to the terrorists bakugan. Some of their effects were then altered with so it was only half the effect, but others like the silver problem stayed a problem.

[Tracy White]

The effect of Sakura that was encasing them in silver was making them weak and constricted. "Hold on, Sky!", Tracy yelled, seeing the critical condition Skystar was in, "Help in on the way!" While thinking of a good way to set Skystar free, Noland activated an ability that nullified all the effects affecting their bakugans. Skystar and the rest were finally free and ready for their next attack.

"Ability activate! Indigo Slash!", Tracy yelled, while activating the ability. With anger, Skystar dashed towards Sakura with her staff which was transformed into a mace in the process. Getting in a close range with Sakura, Skystar jumped high, so as she was in the air, the force at which she ran projected her forward.
"Hya!", Skystar yelled, as she laid a blow on Sakura which pummeled her into the ground. Skystar took a distance from Sakura and waited for her to get up. As soon as Sakura was on her feet, Skystar dashed at her again, and this time, her mace transformed into two sabres. At the speed of lightning, Skystar went to and fro, slashing Sakura with each sword, front and back. This continued until the final blow; the final blow was quite different from the other slashes because the energy and power at which it was executed was different. It made a great impact and created explosions everywhere. Sakura was sent high into the air and landed in a nearly deep pool of water, smoke rising from her chest. Then, the same energy cage imprisoned Sakura, restricting and constricting her again. But this time, the cage was fortified and surrounded with lightning bolts.

Meanwhile, Makoto showed up and made a direct target at Gorem and Drago with Ahrangi. Also at the same time, Gargulion and Ahio were attacked by Asmodeus. Luckily for Ahio, she escaped narrowly.
"Alright, Sky. Looks like we have enough food on our plate today.", Tracy said, and with a smile, Skystar morphed her sabres into two staffs with pointy edges. She then used her magic to appear at where Makoto's attack was based. As soon as Skystar appeared, she stretched forth her staffs and released energy straps at Ahrangi and Asmodeus. The energy straps wrapped them up and lifted them into the air, suspending them.
"Hey Noland, Allen, you too, Markus, I don't think Sky can hold them that long. Think of something quick."' Tracy warned.

[Akane Huomoto]

"So, shall we get this party started?" Akane sneers with a dark smile, her red eyes looking as if they were glowing under her hair which casted a shadow over her face. "Now, ability activate! Blazing Wind!"

Torahu roars and summons a violent gust of flaming blue fire which sweeps over the whole field, causing all the resistor's bakugans to have a health drain.

Abbadon pitched in by doing a similar move, but with inflicting much more damage than Torahu did to the opposing bakugans with a dark gale.

"Now, let's see how all you fools can withstand against all of us, hm?" She hums in delight, enjoying this little brawl where she was actually thinking about what to do next, one of her first challenging brawls with a hint of excitement in a long time.

[Tank Stryker]

(OOC: You do know that G Power has no real effect and/or use in these types of battles, right?)

Tank was going to let Tracy's comment about the money slide for now. That was all of his allowance, and he expected to be paid back. However, Daniel's little trick proved to be a bit of a hiccup in that plan. The powerful hit from the shadow, which had finally appeared as Belphenoid, knocked Gladion to the ground hard, and the aura penetrating every cell of his body really didn't help. The gladiator bakugan got up slowly, but not from any injuries, rather from pure, unadulterated rage. Gladion looked back at Tank and nodded, to which Tank responded with a grin and a nod, his eyes burning with vengeance.

"Alright, Gladion," Tank called out, "Looks like we gotta be a bit creative this time!"

"Just tell me what to do!" Gladion responded, determined to destroy his foes.

"Maki, Silva," Tank called, pointing towards Makoto, "Focus all of your attention on Mr. Miyagi and Asmod-whatever. You two will have the best chance of defeating them. Silva focus on defense, Maki, offense."

Tank turned towards Tracy and Markus. "White, Markus," he called out toward the two, "Focus your attention on Torahu and Abbadon. Sneak attacks, tricks, and distancing tactics is their Achilles' Heel."

Tank turned to Noland, "Hardy, you're with me," Tank said calmly, his eyes flashing blue, "I've got a score to settle."

Tank threw out his hand, extending his fingers, "Go! Trust me on this! And watch your heads! It's about to get a little shaken up in here!" Tank reached into his back pocket after and grabbed a few ability cards, swiping them through his BrawlX. "Follow my lead, Hardy," he said as the BrawlX screen shone bright, "Triple Ability activate! Weapon of the Gods - Hermes' Sandals plus Weapon of the Gods - Trident of Poseidon plus Earthshaker!"

Bright lights shone around Gladion as portals opened up below and above him. Winged sandals attached themselves to Gladion's feet, giving him the ability to fly, and a heavy downpour occurred from newly gathered stormclouds, not enough to put out the fires from Torahu, but enough to herald the weapon that has been known to move the earth: the Trident of Poseidon. Gladion grabbed the trident in his right hand, spinning it a bit before slamming it into the ground. The earth began to move and shake as the fire and gale from Akane's bakugan dissipated before shattering and throwing the enemy bakugan into the air alongside slabs of land.

Gladion nodded back to Drago, signalling him to attack with him. With the Trident burning a blue aura in his hands, Gladion launched himself off of subsequent slabs of land, getting closer and closer to Belphenoid. When he was close enough, Gladion impaled Belphenoid with the legendary three-tipped spear through the underbelly, and threw him into Sakura with a satisfying thud.

"Keep the pressure up, Noland!" Tank commanded as he kept his balance during the earthquake. He showed no signs of falling, but it was a lot harder than it looked.

[Noland Hardy]

Drago was knocked back a considerable distance after taking a hit from Gorem, who slammed into him following a blow from Ahrangi. He skid on the ground before finally rolling over to bounce himself back into the air to recover. The dragon shook off the pain he felt from being hit by someone as heavy as Shatter Gorem despite being familiar with taking blows to that degree. "The gang's all here," Drago noted as he became aware of the entrances of Makoto and Akane as soon as they began to dominate Daniel. Soon after his full recovery, Drago turned his attention to Gladion as he made a gesture to attack with him. He nodded back in acknowledgement and gave Noland the signal to start issuing commands. "Noland, ready on your go!"

Noland pulled an ability to use in his move so that he might fulfill what Tank was asking him to do while at the same time giving the other brawlers room to respond with a combination attack. He knew that all six of them were necessary "I hope you stretched for this one, Drago," Noland stated as he activated the ability card on his gauntlet. "Ability activate! Novia Blade!" Using the diamond on his forehead as the source of energy, Drago projected an energy beam that functioned as a potent blade. While he could use the long-range capabilities of the ability by firing it like a beam, Drago opted for the safer and more powerful option that would not take too much longer than if he chose the extended range option. He swung his head back towards his left as a means of preparing the swing, and then turned his head as quick as he could to his right to swing, tearing the landscape in which it traveled and severely damaging all opposing Bakugan on the field as the ground collapsed underneath them following the direct impact.

[Allen Silva]

Allen listened and nodded at Tanks plan. For whatever reason, Allen didnt care that he was bieng bossed around by someone other than Noland. In fact, he took it as a blessing. It helped that Tank was a authoritative battle hardened brawler who knew strategy." Alright Saeki, guess I got you for help." Allen remarked, aknowledging his temporary partner for this brawl. He held up a ability that glew brown." After this move, you take offense and I'll cover you. Ability activate, Force Breaker."

Gorem charged energy into his fists, causing his hand to radiate with power. Once it was strong enough, Gorem shaped it into a long whip. He launched the end of the whip at Ahrangi, intent to put him out, so they only have to deal with Asmodeus." Teamwork makes the dream work, am I right bird friend...." Gorem thought for a second, trying to come up with a name." Nope, can't remember. What's your name again?"
