Episode 6: Can't Catch a Break

The recent activity between the Resistors and Spartans created an atmosphere of conflict one particular member didn't want any part of. Seiki was easily pushed away from battle after everything Nero and the Dharaknoid put them through. A little peace and quiet was the ideal setting for them despite Ahio spewing remarks concerning "media dodging strategies" that started to come in handy lately. Her singing career took a massive hit from these two issues, seeing an unusual curbing in favor of frequent visits to the art department, which she seemed to enjoy more than anything else at the time. This can be considered a happy time in her life since she no longer had any reason to fight, so openly expressing that she wanted nothing to do with fighting the Spartans was very simple to do until the day came where one of them overheard her saying this near a park. 

The person who alleges her claim for avoidance to be true based on her lack of strength appeared behind her while she was walking alongside Ahio for exercise. Seiki paused for a moment in consideration of responding rudely to the male who made the remark, but she chose to continue walking along the path like he was never there. Ahio became violent after he chose not to divert his path while continuously trying to provoke them into a fight, so she tried to repel him with a wind gust, but it was mysteriously blocked by a green shield that counteracted the force. He introduced himself as Deon Irvine, the Ventus Spartan, and wanted to know if she was the Ventus Resistor he heard so much about. Seiki chose not to give him a direct answer since it was obvious he knew who she was, but Deon revealed that he only asked to see if she was proud of the acclaim she has garnered enough to declare it rather than running away from it as she was doing now. 

Seiki knew that Deon was looking for a brawl based on what she heard about the Spartan's interaction with the other Resistors. She conceded that she would brawl under the condition that they leave her alone afterwards so she can continue her life without all of that drama. Deon said that it could be arranged, shrugging it off as he truly didn't think that was going to happen. Suddenly, a green flash appeared out of nowhere and viciously rammed Ahio into the ground with blinding speed. Caught off guard by the sudden attack, Seiki shrieked at the amount of damage inflicted on Ahio before the battle even officially began. All she saw was a bull stride across the horizon with speed unlike any Bakugan on the planet. Deon introduced it as Ventus Tyr, who warned the Resistor that she should have kept her guard up after proposing a battle, quickly bringing her to her boiling point.

[Seiki Maki]

It was all going fine, perfectly fine, until this jerk comes prancing into the picture looking for a brawl. Seiki would have been fine… If he didn’t so ramming into Ahio. “You people just don’t know went to stop, don’t you.” She huffs, getting out her cards which she hasn’t touched for ages it seems like, dusting off the surface to get a better view at them.

“I’m okay Seiki, no worries.” Ahio chirps, slowly getting up and ruffling her feathers back to their normal position. “The bull just took me by surprise, that’s all.” She says before hopping up into the air and hovering over the ground, looking just fine. But if you watched closely enough, the bird’s movements had some hiccups in them. “Well, maybe I am a little more battered up than I would want to me but I can still so stuff." She says, somewhat having to force out the last few words due to taking a surprise blow.

Seiki had noticed her friend’s condition, hardening her glare at the Ventus Spartan. “I don’t get it, why can’t you people just leave Ahio and I alone?!” She shouts at the male before looking at her deck of cards. “Looks like I’m back to relying on these stupid things…” She growls, picking the top card up with her thumb and index finger with uncertainty, having not brawled for a while before twirling it in her fingers to the card holding position she had always done, in between her index and middle finger. “Ability Activate,” She says with a murmur, going back to glaring at Deon. “Turbulence!”

The ventus-darkus bird flies slightly higher into the air, flapping her three pairs of wings faster, summoning a green twister to form underneath the bull that had attacked her. “It’s been a while since I done all this…” Ahio huffs as she finishes summoning the twister, lowering back to the original position she was in before doing the attack.

[Deon Irvine]

Deon held his card ready while smiling watching the ventus resistor Seiki. "Is that all? I though you would of done more....." Deon said before getting a card and holding it face first towards Seiki. "Ability Activate! Wind Control!" Deon shouted activating the card. "On it" His Bakugan Tyr said odding before stomping his frount legs onto the ground causing the twister to stop in place. Tyr then charged at a good speed right towards the twister with his horns down. He soon reached the twister and it bagan to shrink as it swirled round his 2 horns. "Take this!" Tyr shouted as he hit the bird Bakugan of Seiki's and knew her up before teh twister that was round his horns whirled round her now inflicting more damage.

Ahio went crashing to the ground once again with Tyr's attack, sliding across the ground to stop right in front of one annoyed Seiki. "Do you people have anything better to do than fight with me?" She growls at Deon, frustrated that her move didn't get her the upper hand. She just wanted this fight to be done and over with so she could get back to her nice walk followed by watching some birds to draw. Well, those plans were going to be delayed, that's for sure.

The bird coughs slightly as she staggers back to her to feet. "We really are quite dusty, aren't we?" Ahio weakly says, trembling slightly with her feathers messed up. "I'm still standing Seiki... Give me another ability to hit his with... These wind attacks don't seem to be working."

With that said, the ventus resistor fans out her cards, barely remembering what they do due to her absence from brawling. "Okay Ahio, just try no too push yourself too hard. I don't need another episode of having you about to trip over the cliff of death." Seiki say, murmuring the last part so only hopefully her and Ahio would hear before drawing another card.

"Ability Activate, Blitz Attack!" Seiki calls out as Ahio is charged with a green energy mixed in with some highlights of purple surrounds her, forming a barrier of sorts as she goes flying towards the opponent.

[Deon Irvine]

Deon simply shock he head. "Just what i thought....." He said before his Tyr nodded at what he said obiuosly knowing what he meant. "I agree.... let me do some more damage to this bird!" Tyr shouted while not beng to mean to deon due to having a good bond with him. "Ok if it's your wish tyr...." Deon said before looking at his cards and picing one. "Ability Activate!Wind of Protect-not!" Deon shouted as he held up another card which didn't seem to do anything until the bird got near tyr who was standing still and thier purple and green energy disappeared. Tyr then smiled and caught the birg between his horned and once again charged into the nearest wall while the simular energy to what was surronded the bird now started to form aaround tyr. He soon hit the wall and it brock as the bird went through it before falling to the floor. Tyr took a step back getting back into his battle stance and roared with the green and purple energy still round him.

[Seiki Maki]

"Kuso." Seiki hisses as her yellow eyes look over the cards again, trying to find one that may turn the tides to this rather one-sided battle, her mind rather clouded again with much pressure being placed on her shoulders once again. Just another reminder why she hated brawling so much, alone as well. "I just wish I could find that fighting spirit of mine like I did back then..." Seiki murmurs quietly to herself as she picks up one of the cards, "Then Ahio wouldn't be beaten up so badly. Ability Activate, Like a Whirlwind Quick as Lightning!"

With that ability called out, Ahio jumps back to her feet with her energy replenished thanks to how Tyr was in such a good condition before flying up into the air and doing a twirl, sending a storm twister with a few lightning bolts strikeing from the twister in Tyr's way. "I don't think it's going to do a number on his Seiki!" The bird calls out, still rather high in the air. "But I feel much better now, my limbs don't ache as much."

[Deon Irvine]

"Is this boring for you boss? Cause it is for me" Tyr said not bothering to try and avaid the attack. "Your not the only one, lets make it interesting ourselfs..." Deon replayed before looking at this cards and getting two ards out this time. "Double Ability Activate!" Deon shouted putting the two cards up to show them to Seiki. "Danger Cylcones!" Deon showed as he showed the first card which made tyr smiled knowing what this would do. He changed his footing before pointing his horns at the oppoents Bakugan which made two dark green cyclones shot thier way to Ahio. They soon hit them and wasn't giving any sign of letting up yet. "Plus Swords of Ventus!" Deon shouted now showing the second card. Now tyr stayed where he was and wind like swords flew at ahio via the cyclones causing even more damage."I never thought a resistor would be this easy, did you boss?" tyr then asked deon smiling at the damage he was causing. "No i didn't but who are we to jugde" Deon said smirking a bit messing about a bit with the comments. At the same moment cyclones then stopped leting ahio fall the ground and allowed the swords to stay in the air pointing towards Ahio ready to strike.

[Seiki Maki]

"That's it." Seiki huffs in frustration, not making any eye contact with the two cards she had picked out from her hand as if from instinct. "Double Ability Activate. Senbonzakura," The ventus resistor calls out as her bird partner summoners her signature thousands of feathers blades floating all around her, pointing at both the swords and Tyr. "And Cry of the Wind Phoenix!"

As she was plummeting down, Ahio raises her head into the air, taking in a gulp of air before looking back at the wind bull, emitting a high pitched screech. This make Tyr's attack freeze in midair and sent the feather blades whizzing to the swords, piercing right through them and canceling out the ability as a whole along with attacking the opponent who would be paralyzed by the screech. Ahio regains her position back into the air, flipping herself back over with a small chortle, "And I believe we're back in business!" She looks over at Seiki, "Hey, you think we could do a few of the higher grade ones as well? I haven't experienced those in a very long time, and it may do some damage to the bull."

[Deon Irvine]

"Boss a little help..." Tyr said trying to hold back anger for now. Deon simly nooded before getting two cards. "Special and Fusion Ability Activate!" Deon shouted before showing the first card. "Shocking wind!" He then shouted as the card glowed which made tyr able to move again and protected him from Seiki's card. "Tip never make the bull angry. Rage of the Bull!" Deon then said before shouting the name of the next card. This card glowed too and tyr's eyes became pure red and he started at the bird. He then snorted and and did what a normal bull mould do done before charging how ever Tyr leaped and caught Ahio in his horns once more and he threw her down. Tyr then landed and put on of his 'hooves' onto one of ahio's wings stopping her from flying again. "I thought everyone knew about bulls........ i guess there are some who don't at the moment there is only you. Too bad really this could of been for fun for the both of us." Deon spoke to Seiki still hinting towards something that she probabily hadn't relised yet but he was getting to the point soon and tyr knew that.

[Seiki Maki]

"Ow ow ow! My wing!" Ahio screeches, wiggling out of the grasp of the bull and waving her wing slightly only to wince in pain. "I think he did a number on me..." The bird murmurs on Seiki, ruffling her feathers back up.

A slight breeze passes through as Seiki closes her eyes an inhales it, a vaguely familiar breeze which had a few flower petals and leaves catching the ride. "Mkay, I think I'e got it." Seiki says in response to her partner's situation, slipping one side of her headphones on and flipping on her music to try to ignore the Spartan's comments. She fell for Markus' last time, no way is she going to slip for another one without a fight. "Double Ability Activate, Wings of Despair."

Ahio raises her wings into the air, reversing the effects that Tyr had done on her before screeching, summoning particles of darkness to form beside her. The shadow turned out to be a clone of herself, launching itself at Tyr and paralyzing him again. As this was happening, Seiki called out the other half of the double ability, "Yobanashi Deceive." With that called out, the bird closes her blue eyes and fades into the background, turning invisible and staying completely silent as she moves around the field, not making a sound or any indication on where she may be. 

[Deon Irvine]

Deon did nothing to stop Seiki's abilities but instead just watched and smiled at her begeining to fight back. "Looks like she is trying to fight back Tyr...... Shall we kick it up a knock with her weakling of a bird?" Deon simply said asked his paralyised Partner. "Sounds good boss. Anything that allows to to tear the bird limb from limb will do..." Tyr said in responce looking to where he somewhat senced where the brd was and smiled. Deon then nodded before getting out 3 cards this time. He knew that others wouldn't use so many cards at once but with his Special and Fusion gone he had to kick it up a knoch somehow. He put all three cards up but only allowed his Opponent to see the first and frount card. "Trible Ability Activate! Repelant!" Deon shouted as the first card glowed causing a glow to appear in a shape of a bird that only Tyr and Deon could see.

Tyr didn't respond and Deon hesitated a bit to make it seem like the ability did nothing. "Plus Power of Wind!" Deon said shouted moving the first card over in his hand so Seiki could see the second card which was now glowing. The still invisable bird began to be sucked over towards Tyr and both Tyr and Deon knew that. However ever tyr didn't do anything yet either and simpily nodded while waiting for the next card. "And finally Wind Tower!" Deon shouted revealing the final card in his hand. Tyr then smiled as he could move again and his horns grew larger and more pointed. Tyr took a step back before shoving the bird so that they were in a perfect position for the next attack. That was towards other wall and Tyr then charged without warning into the wall that the bird went towards.

He then caught the no visible bird fell before running into another wall and then threw the bird into air and headed them as they fell back down and left them their waiting to see if that had finished the weak bird off. "I can't believe this card is part of the resisters......"Tyr coldly said about the bird seeming disappointed that this bird Bakugan be any use t the earth. "Yes..... it hard to believe our Planet is being protected by them" Deon siad in responce and looked straight at Seiki wiating for what she would do next. "After it's brawler is no better." Deon said hoping this would start somethng, after all to him this battle was more of a test of Seiki's Abilities and learn things that could be useful later.

[Seiki Maki]

Seiki looked at the two opponents with an eyebrow raised before regaining her posture. "Hmp, idiots. Probably badmouthing me again." She mumbles, focusing on her music. Though she would like to know what they were saying about her, she figured it would be best if those words didn't get to her ears, some things are better off left unheard. She pulls up a card, holding up up against her mouth as she closes her eyes. "Special Ability Activate, Shadow's Rising Hope."

The Ahio that Tyr had hit dead on dispersed into a shadowy mist as the real one reforms behind the bull, and with a loud screech she shoots herself right towards the opponent. A green-purple energy appears around her as she continues to zoom towards the bull. Upon impact, the area went up in a windy explosion, Seiki holding a hand up to her half-lidded eyes to avoid having anything fly into her eyes and blind her momentarily. "Well I'm glad that I wasn't riding on your back this battle." She huffs, wiping off the dust that had gotten onto her clothing from the mini-explosion which had caused tree branches to become oddly angled.

Ahio flies out of the chaos back to Seiki's side. "Yup, this battle is more of a physical thing." The bird chirps, paying no heed to the words Deon and Tyr went blabbing out. No point of wasting their breath on them. "Lots of bashing, crashing, and kabooming." She says, raising her wings to emphasize her point as she watches from the corner of her eye for any advancements Tyr and Deon decided to take.

[Deon Irvine]

Tyr was beginning to get annoyed and this was clear to Deon. "Remember what I said Tyr" Deon said knowing that Tyr's anger wasn't going to help them in this battle. "Right Boss.. On it! " Try said in responce getting up again and just stood there waiting for some cards. "Double ability activate! Ventus Domain! "Deon shouted getting two cards out and showing the first one. Tyr just stood there doing nothing which would confuse normal people how didn't think in battle. However without it being seen power was draining from Ahio every second and going to Try which would be helpful in the next attack. "Plus Sky High! "Deon then shouted as The suddenly disappeared from view. Deon wasn't smiling knowing it would get it away so kept looking at Ahio. Tyr was silent unroll he shouted which seemed to be coming from above Ahio. Tyr soon appeared above her while hovering. He then began to spin before rushing down towards her. Tyr liked this Ability because it could easily be modified by other of Deons cards so it could change direction or be stronger. Tyr soon crashed into Ahio and bounced off them before spinning in place by Deon still in the air. How a bull could do this was unknown to everyone but Deon and Try which they liked.

[Seiki Maki]

Seiki sighs and closes her eyes, the feeling of the wind of the various attacks making her hair sway along with it. The huffs of Ahio trying to stand up again here apparent to the girl, not through her ears which were covered by her headphones, but with her mind and heart. The bird had crashed into a tree, and rather hard with the sound she made upon impact, and yet she was still holding up like she always would. An undying fire that could never be put out.

The Ventus resistor had made up her mind as she opens her amber eyes with a shine, like back in the days where she fought alongside with the other resistors. “I’ve spend enough of my time, wasting it on you Spartan.” She spats with venom dripping off the last word, glaring at the said person as she hold up a card, one with intricate markings that started to glow green. “Let’s go Ahio. Mystic Ability!”

"Oh boy oh boy! I love this one!" Ahio cheerfully chirps, seemingly unaffected by Tyr's latest attack despite her beaten and ruffled up apperance as she hopped up into the air, hovering over the surface as a white circle appeared around her. Various points of the circle started to draw themselves out, forming some kind of white glowing magic circle. As that was being done, the surrounds started to darken, dark stormy looking clouds slowly making their way into the field. “I who stands-” Ahio lands back on the ground right in the middle of the magic circle before continuing on with the incantation, “in the light of the heavens.”

The card with the glowing green intricate designs was thrown up into the skies which looked like they were about to pour. Seiki’s voice continues onto what her bakugan partner had to say, “Call upon thee where the gates of the underworld open.” Where the card was thrown up into the clouds, a magic circle much like the one Ahio was standing in started to form. Except the one in the skies was much bigger in comparison to the one the bird stood upon. Four miniature circles start to form around the big circle, nicely spaced apart. If a square were to be placed there, the smaller circle could be matched up with the corners.

“Come forth divine lightning!” The bird screeches with her wings open, tilting her beak to the skies which is now charged with lightning tinted both green and purple. Green-Purple feather standing on end as she summoned the needed power to pull of this crushing ability.

Seiki looks at Deon with yet another glare, saying the next part with a slight growl in her voice and in a semi-dark tone as well. “This ends now.”

“INDIGNATION!”

The big circle in the skies had a lightning place pierce though it. Smaller ones amplifying its ability through the four smaller circles as the lightning blade charged for Tyr. The shock struck the bull dead on, causing a big electric surge coursing through his being and forcing him to revert back to his sphere form with the power overwhelming him.

The area went back to normal, with the exception of the damage that was caused by other attacks from the beginning of the brawl. “And with that, I win.” Seiki states as she slides her headphones off, Ahio frolicking around the place for a moment before joining her human partner by her side.

[Deon Irvine]

Deon was shocked by what had just happened. He clenched his fist before catching Tyr in his Ball form as he cam flying. "What?!!!!! You wasn't meant to win! How could someone with your exprience beat me?!" He said shouting clearly not happy but soon turned around. before turning to walk away. "What ever...... I'll see you in the Sky Resistor!" Deon said coldly to Seiki  before walking away. "Sorry about that boss...... I didn't expect that" Tyr said looking at Deon as he got on his Shoulder. "Don't worry Tyr we will not lose to her again, that i promise." Deon stated now being far enough away so she wouldn't hear him. "Lets just get back shall we?" He then finished before looking infront of him again with anger still lurking on his face. Tyr simply nodded before hopping into Deon's Pocket to get some rest while he could. "I promise Boss that i will help you all the way" Tyr said quietly seretly unhappy that he was beat by a bird.
