Episode 7: The Search Begins

[Noland Hardy]

After all of the Resistors engaged the Spartans in combat, the hype cooled down a little. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business while getting ready for the first day of classes until every single Resistor and their Bakugan felt something irritate them as if something was biting them. Those who felt this reaction were reserved tickets to the nearest hospitals. The only special cases were Noland and Tank who seemingly felt nothing near the debilitating mess the others were in as if they were immune to it, so the mysterious force that tried to bring Noland down extended to Kendrick, which also failed, and then to their grandmother, placing her in the hospital with the same ailments as the other Resistors. Unfortunately for Tank, he had contact with Katherine around the time he felt this, so she was more suitable for the infection to take hold. 

The doctors gave everyone a better idea on what was going on. Their bodies were exhibiting symptoms akin to a cancer patient, freaking Noland and Tank out to the core. The news that they were incapable of treating it eliminated all of their confidence. The only piece of information keeping Noland afloat was the mentioning of a healer who is leagues above Tracy in that department. It was revealed that this person also played a part in helping Noland and Drago recover from being hit by Hydranoid when Nero was still on the ground, but her whereabouts were kept a secret for unknown reasons. Noland intended on finding this woman as soon as possible. 

Tank's emotional conversation with Katherine offered a lot of tear-jerking moments, but no grounds to search for a cure. Noland's call interrupted this with the possibility of a cure being attainable, but they had to find a name. He wondered if Tank knew of anyone that stood out when he was hospitalized. Tank didn't have an answer since none of them saw or knew of who he was speaking of. Out of desperation for answers, Noland took a risk of getting in serious trouble by calling Montai, who succeeded Nero in being the director of the CIA. Noland skipped right into the questions about this female. Even though it was classified information, Montai forked over what she knew due to the dire circumstances. She directed him and Tank to a certain location where two high-ranking brawlers were deployed to an hour ago. She mentioned that one of those brawlers was who they were looking for, but she wouldn't disclose their names for obvious reasons. 

Noland and Tank rushed towards the objective and found it to be in "No Mans Land." Both of them wandered around until they encountered a brawler who had a tall knight-like Bakugan by his side. The person sensed their presence and asked why they were there. Before they could answer, a female showed up to the scene and fired the question back at him, already knowing who he was and why he was there. The man faced her and dismissed her very harshly, saying that he had zero tolerance for wasted time against anyone from her organization, Eden. Noland and Tank were puzzled hearing them go back and forth until the lady revealed her accolades and her name, Lydia Andersen. Noland and Tank froze when they heard her surname, but Alex was fired up just as they wanted to be after listening to that. He recounted all of the attempts the government made to deceive him by sending assassins disguised as either her or Daniel, but never fell for any of those tricks once as he slaughtered them all. He claimed he would do the same here, and quickly ordered his Bakugan to attack Lydia.

[Lydia Andersen]

Lydia got fairly scared by whatever was happening on the site. Once she mentioned her name Silver Knight made a short, but raging rant about it and ordered his Bakugan to charge into Lydia and apparently dispose of her. His Bakugan was too close to be ignored and seemed pretty serious about killing her, so she quickly reached her pocket and tossed a small orb on the ground. Orb was glowing in midair and landed not too far from incoming enemy. As it seemed she threw a Bakugan orb that was colored in both black and white colors. Orb was glowing in mystical dark-purple and white-to-yellow colors before releasing a blast wave from which a white divine ray emerged and struck into the sky as some kind of endless pillar.

"Haos Angelight, stand!" Lydia yelled. Pillar of light dispersed revealing a beautiful angel-like Bakugan. Three pairs of white divine wings, large bow attached to her right arm, divine ring around her left ankle and pink ribbons with holy markings were showing off amazing and beautiful angel. With no waiting she moved back to avoid knight's lance and landed near her partner. "What is the meaning of this, Silver Knight?! Do you realize this will be counted as hostile action against Eden?!" Angel asked the opposing brawler trying to get knowledge on why she and her partner were being attacked.

Meanwhile, Lydia turned her laptop on and made an input code for ability activation. "Ability, activate! Rain of Arrows!" Unlike her opponent and many other people she was not using a gauntlet to activate abilities and other utilities in battle, but used laptop instead.

Her angel Bakugan made a step back while using wings to take off and avoid possible melee battle against opponent's Bakugan. "Stop right there!!" One holy arrow formed inside her left arm and then she put it in the bow. She tensed the bow releasing the holy arrow which exploded in midair and turned into countless arrows forming a divine rain of them. Approaching knight Bakugan was stopped in his tracks as he tried to avoid those arrows, but count was too high to be avoided and Knight sustained damage from at least thousands of arrows hitting his body and releasing metallic sounds.

Tasks Alex had on his hands was an important research around 'No Mans Land' and he hoped that possible terrorists would do the job instead, so he could steal sacred fruit of their efforts. However, those plans were drowned once unexpected visitors arrived at the site. Two 'civilians', who were not supposed to be there, arrived and that troubled Alex since his task and research were supposed to be a confidential data to the outer public. However, that was not the thing that troubled him the most; a person who was obviously from Eden, based on emblems on her outfit, came and questioned Alex's motives of being there. Fact that the girl who came was from Eden was not that troubled Alex, but the fact she said her name was 'Lydia Andersen'.
Since the attack on their family 11 years ago Alex knew that only him and Daniel survived; Alex because of Dante and Daniel because of his unfortunate situation with DNA mutation.

"Same old tricks every time? You know perfectly the meaning of this, you little pest." Dante replied in Alex's name. "After all these years of screwing us over you look surprised. That's a new one, I admit it, but I'm not buying it." Alex said to angel Bakugan.
By the time Dante reacted he was already struck by many Haos arrows from angel Bakugan's bow. Those two were not losing any time with their attack, so Alex wanted to respond as soon as possible. "Hah, toothpicks...We won't give you luxury of surviving! Ability, activate! Miracle Breaker: Aegis Blaster!" Alex said. He activated one of his signature abilities from the past.

Miracle Breaker cards he used allowed him to distort dimensions of time and/or space at his will to cause abnormal or even fatal damage. Since time and space were unstable and unpredictable when distorted whoever got hit might be affected differently and possibilities were infinite. Worst case happened against one terrorist whose Bakugan got distorted by two time cracks and its body was cut in half. Dante jumped off the ground ignoring all those arrows that hit him and charged into angel Bakugan. "Get out of my sight already, you filthy pest!!" Dante shouted angrily at the angel and pointed his holy shield towards her. Visibly, his shield was charging up with holy energy quite similar to one of his opponent, but it had only one big difference; color of their lights. As it appeared Dante's shield was charging in energy that was similar to Haos, but was not Haos; it was something with pure white color that was more gentle than Haos.
Once his shield charged up powerful beam of purified energy emerged wildly heading towards the angel.

She had no time to think about her possible escape plan and was caught in a Miracle Breaker. Amount of energy Dante used was enough to kill at least a dozen of average Bakugans with additional possible consequences of time and space cracks. Once the smoke cleared angel was revealed to be pretty much shaken by that attack since she was trying to gain her balance for flying again. "What in the hell? How could she survive that?" Dante asked himself quietly in confusion about their opponent's obvious survival.

Lydia placed her right hand on her stomach. She started feeling sick at observing battle between her Angelight and paladin Bakugan that was fighting them. Lydia hoped that her Rain of Arrows would be enough to slow down their enemy, so she could quickly take him out, but she was not that lucky. Their enemy quickly recovered and struck with a powerful attack that fairly frightened Lydia and disoriented Angelight. "Ghh...what was that...??" Angelight asked with pain in her voice. "I...I don't know...they didn't even bother to counter it..." Lydia replied in surprise and shock that their opponents could do something like that.

Things that Silver Knight and his Bakugan said were off and Lydia could not relate. "What tricks? What have we ever done to you?" Angelight replied to Dante's previous comment. "This must be a misunderstanding...why are you attacking us??" Lydia asked in frustration. She was calm before the battle started, but she had a huge problem with being exposed to violence. Just by looking at battles she could easily get sick and lose focus, but according to her previous records she didn't have problems winning brawls.

She used her laptop to make quick ability upload for Angelight. "Hold on, A! Ability, activate! Heaven's Charm!" Lydia said to her partner while uploading. Angelight quickly shook off all the dust that was covering her and spread her magnificent wings. Her wings were capable of creating powerful violet dust that covered the area catching enemy off guard. Large knight Bakugan was drastically slowed down by this dust and his defensive capabilities were dropping as well. Angelight took her chance and charged into knight's chest smashing him into the ground and creating a large crater where he fell. Blow was so powerful that it even pushed two civilian brawlers who arrived a few minutes earlier. "Think before you act, Knight." Angelight said sarcastically to her opponent.

"Just how stupid do you think a person can be? After all these years I would be ashamed of myself if I fell to that..." Alex said impatiently to the girl he was fighting. "Are you terrorists running out of ideas when you come up with something like this?" He asked her angrily referring to what seemed like a really bad plan of taking advantage of Alex's past. "Or you are perhaps to stupid to think that an old trick like that would work? Or you perhaps have no idea, but your superior sent you to straight death?" Dante added with his rhetorical questions.

"Hmm, she survived and recovered from Miracle Breaker? Either she has insane resistance or she can control dimensions as well..." Alex though to himself with suspicion about angel's force. She was able to survive and recover from Dante's Aegis Blaster which was a surprising fact. Only enemies with high defense such as Gorem kinds or enemies with abilities of dimensional control similar to his. "Dante, we have to try something else...Special Ability, activate! Miracle Shield!"
Once this ability was activated Dante pointed his shield towards the angel once again and fired a powerful energy blast which was not as strong as the last one, but effective enough.
Beam hit angel making her fall on the ground. Dante was not healing after his enemy's last attack. "Playing games with us...testing us...as we are lab rats. Just what gives you right to play god?" Alex asked again rhetorically. He was not expecting an answer anyway. "Instead of playing your games why don't you fight? You might give yourself a nice chance to die trying." Dante said to Lydia and her angel Bakugan angrily.

After another attack large knight delivered to Angelight, Lydia got even more pain in her stomach. Battles and violence in general were something that would make her sick. It started happening a few years ago when her precious guardian, Falcon, was killed by a terrorist. Every time she had to fight for herself it would bring her a lot of pain as battle continued. In battles against many people it did not represent such a big and important factor, but Silver Knight who attacked her would probably take every advantage given to him to defeat Lydia.

Silver Knight and his Bakugan talked about some pretty unusual things that Lydia could not understand. She was listening to their every sentence to try and understand the meaning of their attack and all things they were saying. However, she could not put piece of the puzzle together. "...ashamed...terrorist...why does he think that? Why...would commander send me here to die...?" She was thinking to herself to try to understand what her opponent was saying to her. "...games...testing..." She thought again from what her opponent said. "Who tested them? For what? Was it Eden?...No, it can't be them..." Lydia said to herself. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to think about it. Knight Bakugan was charging towards Angelight again, so they had to react faster.

"We have to work fast, A." Lydia noted to her Bakugan. "...I understand. Go on." Angelight stood back up on her feet to continue battling. Lydia quickly uploaded an ability card via her laptop and activated it. "Special Ability, activate! Starlight Explosion!"

Angelight made her wings shine in Haos energy letting her fly higher and faster. She surrounded herself in Haos energy which was almost blinding to look at. She charged into knight Bakugan enemy and smashed him in the chest while avoiding his shield that was main threat over there. Once she struck him a large portion of Haos energy exploded in all directions from her body doing a lot of damage to knight's front. That made him fall down making a crater just like what happened to Angelight.

"I am not familiar with anything you said to us. Tricks, testing, playing god, terrorism... " Lydia said to her opponent with suspicion. "I have my own reasons for coming here, Silver Knight. And it does not have to do anything with you. For a Silver Knight your actions are quite suspicious. I wonder why a Silver Knight would attack some random person like that. Who are you, really?" Lydia asked with a bit of impatience. Her opponent was torturing her through these few minutes of their fight by stating random comments at her and accusing her for something she didn't have a clue about. It was necessary to know his motives, but every time they would try to get some information he would just continue with accusations. She was hoping that he would finally speak up about his motives, so the situation could be resolved.

Dante was struck down once again by angel Bakugan and his body-mass made a large crater in the ground. However, he immediately stood up on his feet without any signs that angel's special ability did any harm to him. "You will have to do much better than that if you want to survive. This armor was constructed from toughest alloys known in Vestroia. Your attack can only push me away and that's furthest it goes." Dante explained to his opponent, but it was more-or-less a mockery of angel's attacks than an explanation. He looked perfectly fine after that attack and was ready to give hell to angel and her brawler.

Alex was even more angered once girl asked him if he really was a Silver Knight based on his 'random' attack. He then went on from his anger to sarcasm and more insults. "Alright...I'll bite. Since your IQ doesn't come over Siberia's temperature..." Alex said sarcastically, but was angry that girl was still holding on to the same story. "That name 'Andersen'...Using it must be a good amusement for you isn't it? Unfortunately, I am not a counterfeit like you and neither is my strength..." Alex replied to the girl. He felt it so unnecessary to to tell her a single thing about himself assuming she knew all of it from the start, but she was insisting on her behavior. It came to his mind that she did not know which person in No Mans Land was the actual target. "Let me help you with that, little girl. Oldest son of the infamous 'monster maker'...Alexander Andersen is the name." Alex said to his opponent who represented herself earlier as his sister.
The difference was that his sister Lydia Andersen got into terrain of assassins while he was buying her time to escape. There was no sight of her after that and it was the main proof why she could not exist anymore. Whoever used to present themselves as Lydia in the past was just an assassin attempting to take Alex down as well.

"Very unprofessional being unable to recognize your target, but it doesn't matter now, does it? Being a professional or just a girl will not make a difference..." He added coldly announcing he was not going to stop with his rampage against her. "Dante, kill her!!" Alex shouted ordering his Bakugan to rush towards their opponent and make a direct attack. Dante was not responding with any counter-attack towards angel Bakugan, but rushed immediately towards unprotected girl who was now unable to protect herself or activate any cards before Dante reached her.

[Lydia Andersen]

"...w-what??!" Lydia whispered to herself in surprise. A brief moment of silence followed her surprise. Lots of words and events were mixing inside her brain as she was trying to process everything what her opponent just said. The moment he said that name Lydia got chills through her spine recalling previous moments of the battle. At first not many things were making sense, but little by little details and pieces of the puzzle started to add up slowly.

"What are you...but that can't be...he died 11 years ago..." Angelight quietly said. Answer their opponent gave was too weird to be true; based on stories she heard. "...what is the meaning of this?!" she asked again in shocks and looked at Lydia waiting for her response to all what their opponent said. However, her brawler was just standing in their with a face going between surprise and shock. She was not giving any response to her opponent's talk as she was still trying to process all the information.

At that moment she came to a shocking realization. Flashbacks started to overflow her mind second after second. Words of her opponents, gift Falcon gave her before departing forever, last events that happened before monster crisis eleven years ago and last words her father said before going away for the last time. "...it...it cannot be..." Lydia said as flashbacks continued to come back to her memory.

Main key to those flashbacks from the past was name of her opponent's Bakugan. When she heard name 'Dante' memories and puzzles started to come together in one picture. "No...no...it's cannot be...Dante..." She muttered as her eyes started to get a bit teary. She was ignoring her pain now with her full concentration set on her opponent and his Bakugan. Angelight was confused by her partner's behavior and she started yelling at her. "What's the hold up?! What's happening down there?!" Angelight yelled.

"That's the Bakugan...dad gave to him...to Alex...D-Dante..." Her voice muttered again. Her surprise was turning into shock. Memory after memory, flashback after flashback. Everything was summing up slowly, but enough to give Lydia a big shock. She could barely remember her childhood or anything that happened at that age because of great tragedy that nearly brainwashed her. However, tiny pieces of the puzzle were coming together one by one giving her a flashback of her father, mother and two older brothers. The moment when she heard name 'Dante' for the first time...name of Bakugan her father gave to Alex to protect himself and family from terrorists. That made her recall names of 'Falcon' and 'Wolveride'; Bakugans that belonged to her and second brother. 

She recalled Alex well...young boy who was very popular for his blue eyes. His left eye was always more blue than the right eye; so blue it could be said it was glowing. Being unable to feel temperature like any other human being he was always fond of wearing a jacket regardless of the time of the year. His facial expression when brought to anger was more like he was focusing on a very hard math task. By looking at the man standing on the other side of the battlefield only one conclusion was brought; there was no difference.
"...A-Alex..It's...it's..." she started whispering quietly.

"Idiot!" a loud shout came out of nowhere and pierced the silence. It was Angelight. She had no time to wait for Lydia to make a counter-attack. Dante, or whataver that Bakugan was, came too close with his metal lance pointed at Lydia. She charged right in between Lydia and Dante to shield Lydia. In that attempt she used her own Divine Protection ability, but it was done before attack could charge up completely leading to its failure. Her shield was broken and she took some serious damage from Dante's attack. However, she still had strength to decelerate Dante's advance towards Lydia, so she attempted pushing him back with all her strength. "Idiot, snap out of it!" Angelight yelled again.

"I would listen to your future 'gravemate' if I were you!" Alex warned the girl since Dante was advancing quickly to kill both of them. It was the first time that one of those assassins actually attempted to get their act done by pretending to that point they were nearly killed. "What is this game you are playing? Suicide Simulator the second?" Dante said to Lydia as he continued with rampage against angel Bakugan. He already broke her divine protective ability without having to use one of his own abilities and it was quite alarming for their opponent, but as it seemed they were not doing much fighting even after Alex pointed them towards their target.

"It is useless to cry, little girl. You knew what to expect, didn't you? It is too late; just surrender." Alex said in a cold tone to his opponent. Mission that HQ gave him was to investigate No Mans Land for terrorist activity and to seize whatever that was defined as important. "Ability, activate! Miracle Shining Wind!" Signature ability was now activated. Dante used this ability many times before and it was naturally an attack to be used in ranged battles, but since angel was not countering it didn't make any difference.

Dante was surrounded in energy brighter than Haos giving additional power to Dante's attack. Speed of flowing energy was so high it was reminding of wind currents. Shining currents of wind quickly blinded the girl who was looking directly at Dante giving him a straight advantage with that ability. With his right foot he struck the ground and pushed himself back a few meters before his shield and lance suddenly disappeared. He put his arms together and made wind currents flow around his arms before they were released in form of horizontal tornado. Tornado hit angel and then struck her to the ground like a powerful whip and did continuous damage before fading away.
"Next!" Dante said once angel was out of the picture and he could aim for the girl.

Angelight was smashed into ground by Dante once again. All that happened thanks to Lydia spacing out, but she couldn't help it anymore. At the beginning she was hesitating to fight because she didn't know the reason why she was being attacked and now she couldn't fight at all knowing whom she was fighting. Angelight got back on her feet with huge pain in her right leg that was probably dislocated and she was angered by Lydia's sudden inappropriate behavior in battle. "What are you doing?...ugh...you can't space out like that...not now..." Angelight said to her brawler while flying from her spot to Lydia. She was aware of what was coming next if Lydia was not going to do something.

Lydia continued spacing over despite her partner's reaction and even her opponent's reaction. She continued remembering all events and details happening to her in past linking all parts to a one whole. "....you...you are...Alex..." She continued mumbling, but everyone could hear her now.
Angelight was stunned by Lydia who quickly accepted that theory of their attacker to be Lydia's older brother who died eleven years ago. "Alex? But...you said..." Angelight responded to her brawler's mumbling. Lydia responded back by pointing her finger in shock towards Dante. Her arms were shaking as she pointed at him. "I don't get it."
"It's...that's Dante...Bakugan dad gave...Alex...his guardian..." She couldn't even talk properly, but continued mumbling much to Angelight surprise to hear that fact. "A-Are you sure. It could be...something else...".
Lydia pointed at the brawler who controlled Dante and continued speaking...barely. "Look...his left...left eye..." When Lydia pointed out brawler's left eye which was visually brighter than the right one Angelight started to stare carefully. Once she noticed that man's left eye was practically glowing in blue her facial expression went to an immediate shock as well. "No, no! How?! It can't be!" Angelight yelled, but was not in that much of a shock to act like a statue.
"You are so senseless. She IS your sister after all. She recognized you and you act like nothing's happening?" Angelight decided to do the talk instead knowing how vulnerable and incapable her brawler was at the time. Her first comments were negative arguments against Lydia's brother, whose identity was confirmed. She couldn't understand how cold he was despite Lydia was obviously in lot of psychical pain at that moment.

Alex finally got pissed to the maximum with comments and scenes those two were making and could barely think what insane idiot would send those two to kill him. "I didn't know Internet Explorer sent you because you simply have rough time getting it in your thick skulls; I don't fall for that." Alex replied angrily at conversation of his opponent and her Bakugan. "There is a tiny variety of things that my opponent can do to piss me off and one of them is this. When someone tries to lie right into my face." Alex added while holding his dark and angered facial expression pointed towards the girl and her Bakugan.

"What you're doing is against basic against moral, against common sense. And you dare to do this to ME? After all those times you should have gotten the message already, you parasites! If you want it so much, I will treat you like parasites. I will exterminate you right this instant!" Alex shouted at the girl and he pulled out a card to finally finish the job and all that pointless arguing. He inserted the card inside his gauntlet and triggered the activation. "Ability activate! Divine Corona Lance!"

Dante gained his lance and shield back. His lance got charged up with enormous amount of that same energy he used before. Still similar to Haos, but much brighter. "It was a good run, pests. Now, die." Dante said quietly and pointed his lance towards brawler and her Bakugan to deliver the finishing blow. Lance charged up and fired a lance-like bolt of purified energy towards the two. Seconds were separating them from what was about to happen.

Alex simply ignored what Lydia mumbled about and what Angelight tried to say. He simply decided not to listen to them indirectly calling them liars and going on. Angelight was pissed about his behavior. Not even cries and shock were enough to move him from his cold throne. Angelight was worried because her leg was wounded and for that reason she was barely able to protect herself without healing and there was zero chance to protect Lydia as well. In Lydia's state now she was not paying attention to anything, so chance of getting anything there was another big zero.

Lydia was not scared or worried anymore. Her shock went into deep sadness. Not just that her own brother wouldn't be able to recognize her anymore, but his own mind and soul were in scars. Lydia finally understood what he meant by 'testing'. He was tortured the entire time in her absence; with whoever killed their mother and father torturing Alex and trying to murder him as well the entire time. And now that after whole 11 years of waiting to see him again she had to watch him take her life away. Tears started to slide down her cheeks and fall on the floor as Dante was getting closer to execute both her and Angelight.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I couldn't do anything to save you..." Lydia cried as she looked at Alex's cold eyes staring at her coldly and mercilessly. She was ready to die if that would meant happiness to him, but not there, not now, not with her being just a bad memory to him. It was wrong, but she lowered her head anyway giving up on what was coming next.

It wasn't difficult for Noland to come to terms with who he was looking at here, and he had Alex to thank for clearing up any misconceptions on a similar sounding surname. The woman that played a role in saving his life and potentially holds the key to saving everyone else from this unknown disease was related to one of his most devastating adversaries he has ever had, Daniel Andersen. The man across from her was the person who could crush all hope for an answer to their questions and was also related to Daniel. The Bakugan that Alex calls Dante draws a parallel line to the Bakugan he saw Kuzuha mimic when he fought against him for the last time. He played out all of these possibilities in his mind and became concerned. Do they know about Daniel, and if so, what do they plan to do about it if they become aware or are aware of who was responsible for taking him down?

He discussed these things with Tank on the sidelines while trying to stay out of their way, ignorant to the growing conflict between the two. Tank was just as distrusting of them as expected as they shared relation to the person that painted the most disturbing picture of his past. Noland was careful to cast judgment on them since they didn't show any characteristics of a terrorist as their brother did...at least, that's what he initially thought from the beginning until Lydia openly told Alex that they were siblings and he still continued his attack much like Daniel would. Deeming Lydia unable to handle herself any longer and becoming agitated by Alex's refusal to stand down, Noland and Tank could not stay neutral anymore, especially when they needed Lydia alive. 

Noland threw Drago in front of Lydia without warning, making her only see a red flash before a Dragonoid stood right in front of her to take the blow. "Ability activate! Absolute Defense!" Noland announced. Drago placed his wings in front of him to absorb the impact from Dante's blast. An explosion was the obvious result of the collision, but it didn't seem to harm the Dragonoid at all. In fact, he charged a similar attack on the horn above his head and shot it at Dante to land a substantial blow on him very quickly. "It's funny. I was almost tempted not to make any comparisons, but..." Noland pointed towards Alex as he made his statement. "What you failed to do just now makes you just as much of a terrorist as your brother, and just like him, I'll make sure you get your dues."

The blast off Drago caused a dust cloud to engulf the area around the group of brawlers. A bright blue light was seen as the cloud disappeared, revealing a standing Emperor Gladion holding Lydia. Gladion jumped back to where Tank was standing and placed Lydia down behind him. Tank then pulled out two ability cards and swiped them through his BrawlX.

"Double ability, activate!" Tank yelled, holding his wrist up with the glowing BrawlX, "Weapon of the Gods - Claymore of Zeus plus Special Ability Remnants of the Titans - Scythe of Kronos!"

Storm clouds gathered around the battlefield, lightning striking Dante, stunning him in place as the legendary oaken-hilted sword dropped from the sky into Gladion's right hand. Out of a distortion of space-time came Kronos' scythe, which was picked up by Gladion in his left hand. The gladiator bakugan took a powerful offensive stance.

"Hey, asshole!" Tank yelled at Alex, his anger boiling over, "I don't give a flying fuck who you are or who she is, all care about is getting my girlfriend the medical attention she needs, and if that means I have to kick your ass, then I will! Get him, Gladion!"

With that, Gladion lunged forward, slashing with his scythe. Time seemed to stop for everyone except Gladion, who jumped high, landing behind the already stunned Dante. To the naked eye, it looked like he had teleported. Gladion then swung both of his weapons hard, landing direct hits on Dante, sending the paladin bakugan flying away from Drago and the others into the distance, clear over Alex's head. Gladion then assumed a defensive stance, awaiting a counterattack.

"Hardy," Tank called to Noland, "We have to flank him. I got one good shot on him, but he'll be expecting that in the future. We gotta take him down together!"

"Would you look at that?" Dante said while he was flying away. He made a thrust in midair trampling the ground with his left foot and stopping himself from flying any further. He then calmly walked back to his position near Alex observing two opponents he had to deal with. "They don't look like terrorists...hmm...according to their Bakugans' appearance..." Dante started saying to Alex once he took a better look at two brawlers and their Bakugans. "I'm aware of their identities, Dante." Alex replied to Dante. He already knew identities of his two opponents based on what the one with Dragonoid said and based on that there was a Dragonoid in the first place.
As that was not enough other brawler mentioned 'Hardy' which was more than enough for anyone to recognize.

"If that's all you two have to say..." Alex replied to all accusations and insults two brawlers said to him. "Ability activate! Knight Art: Freya's Chariot!" One of signature Silver Knight abilities unique to their organization. It allowed Bakugans of knight-class to borrow power of goddess Freya. With that ability Dante gained power of Freya's holy chariot and jumped straight into attack. With speed and offensive power he picked up from this ability Dante swiftly charged into Gladion crashing into him. This attack blasted Gladion away making him fall on his back not too far from the girl and angel Bakugan. Without hesitation Dante changed his direction towards Dragonoid doing the same thing to him. He then removed his lance to free one of his hands allowing him to catch Dragonoid by his tail. He made a thrust and threw Dragonoid making him crash into Gladion who was already on the ground.

"Who gave you civilians permission to roam around restricted area? It has been sealed off for purpose of research and excavation..." Alex asked two brawlers in curiosity of who would give permission to two civilians to enter a restricted area like that. "Civilians and terrorist massing in the area...that might cause problems to our research....." Alex said to Dante with a bit of uneasiness thinking that there could be more civilians and terrorists inside the area.
