"Dang. I didn't know you'd crush the girl's heart like that," Helios noted, still not caring about Yita's little crush on Noland. "Tell me he died so I can watch her cry."
"Helios...not now." Damian expected Alex to catch on to what he was actually trying to ask him. It was obvious he wanted to know where this masked person was, but Alex was being difficult, probably on purpose. He wasn't too happy with that, but what did he expect? He was being rude to them already. That's what made it fun.
"You saw him, but you didn't or couldn't destroy him...what a waste. I'm guessing you're prepared to tell me where he was last sighted, or is beating it out of all of you the only thing that'll get you to talk?" He wasn't going to go back and forth with him. It was either he knows and gives up the information, or he'll force it out of them. That was it.

Listen to howl of our souls "Whether he dies or not it's up to him. He vanished without leaving a clue where he left. Kid has devil's luck." Alex replies to Helios regarding Noland's disappearance. From what it seems like a common bystander would say Alex is not giving a single damn about what happens to Noland and Drago, but in all honesty he is just not worried. Knowing those two he is confident they didn't leave just to get killed somewhere.
"You were quite nice to shoot and then ask questions, so..." Alex states and then tosses Dante's orb on the ground. Orb opened releasing crimson and white lights before unleashing the massive knight with his giant shield and lance. "...I will shoot before I answer as well..." Alex says and Dante steps into fighting stance.
"Code VS recognized...AVS triggered..." Woman's voice is heard enough through the speaker. What Code VS and AVS is remains unknown, but it activated as soon as Dante used his monster form. Perhaps some sort of safety protocol.

"You actually took that one seriously? Can't you take a joke?" Helios wasn't too surprised that Alex got all bent out of shape for the warning shot. Perhaps they were still on edge from the Noland fiasco. Then again, him and Damian were still pissed too, so it all came together.
"So you're man enough to take me on? I can respect that." Damian activated his BakuMeter when Dante hit the field. "Just remember how you could've taken the easy way out when something happens to you."
Helios sized his opponent up, knowing a bit of how strong Dante can be when he fought Drago's dark form. He knew the knight was at least competent in battle. Too bad it's Helios who's his opponent.
"Ability activate! Void Stream!" Helios started to move around on his feet while he shot at Dante with a searing hot white-colored stream of energy, obviously intended to melt opponents away if they weren't too careful, or if they couldn't change anything about their situation at all. He was trying to check Dante's skill in counters to see how he moves.

Listen to howl of our souls "Ability activate! Absolute Shield!" Alex quickly takes a card of Clear attribute and puts it inside the gauntlet creating a glow in it and triggering the ability activation. This ability is one of the abilities ones he uses for protection; it distorts time and space around his massive round shield and makes it practically unbreakable for attacks that don't have power to distort time and space themselves. If he was completely relying on these while fighting someone like Lydia he'd certainly lose.
Dante's shield flashed and gained mesmerizing crystal-like glow on its surface. Stream launched by Helios hit the shield and was caught in distortion that quickly dispersed the attack. Attacking Dante head-on is the most-common mistake done since his shield-abilities can disperse pretty much anything except time/space effects. However, danger behind that shield is that it's more deadly than Dante's lance; despite his lance being an obvious weapon for combat his shield is far more dangerous.
"Ability activate! Radiant Victory!" Alex says again as he puts another ability inside the gauntlet. This sort of ability is another one related to Dante's shield, but as an offensive-type ability. All 8 triangles on his shield start glowing and after 2 seconds of preparation each triangle releases one golden beam. All of those beams separate and go in their own ways, so opponent has to worry about being hit from multiple sides and not just head-on. A few beams go straightforward for Helios. A few more from his left and his right as well and get close in to hit him.

Damian was a bit stunned at the shield's properties, but he didn't deem it impossible to breach. That's why he trains with Jamal in the first place. If you can't be adaptive, why use offense or defense at all?
"Ability activate! Savage Air!" Damian didn't feel like turning up the heat just yet, so he settled for dodging those attacks. Helios's body supported this, so he was intent on making that happen.
Helios used his wing's power to dash in a straight line. He was going fast enough to produce a gust of wind. Mixing well with the fire Helios's body naturally left behind, this wind led to an irritation in the flames, making them spiral out of control. This was more than enough of a deterrence for Dante's beams as they melted straight away - at least for the ones that would've hit him; the ones that tried to shoot him from the east and west missed him completely.
"As for that shield of yours...Ability activate! Eruption Claw!" During Helios's inevitable approach to Dante, he ignited both of his claws. He dug his left into the ground as he flew, then he shot straight up before he got within close proximity to Dante. What this did for Helios was allow him to dig up portions of the ground to potentially hit Dante with it as a distraction while an eruption occurs from the ground below. His next plan was to pounce on Dante from the sky with the claws on his right hand.

Listen to howl of our souls As Helios advances towards them at alarming speed Alex takes another Clear card and inserts it inside the gauntlet. This ability is of similar nature as Absolute Shield from before, but it is far from being a defensive one. "Ability activate! Absolute Lance!" Card glows inside the gauntlet and activation is triggered.
Normally, this ability is used to strike opponent's body while producing a violent shockwaves. However, for this one Alex something else in mind. With this ability played white lightning forms around Dante's body and and then all focuses into one point; the tip of his holy lance in his right hand. All that lightning gathers on the tip creating powerful flashing that can blind a person if they stare at it. Suddenly, Dante forcefully strikes the ground below him with the lance and that lightning explodes producing a shockwave that expands all around Dante in a radius of 50-100 meters distorting space of everything it touches.
Helios is way too close to avoid the attack and is pushed back to his last position by the shockwave. Since it was Dante's basic ability that was not even used for its original purpose (offensive ability used to repel another attack) Helios did not receive as much as damage he'd actually receive if he was hit by Absolute Lance head-on. However, Alex and Dante don't mind since the usage was helpful in the end.

Helios rebounded off of the ground with a backflip when he was sent back. It didn't tickle him too much, but it showed him something. If he took away anything from how that counterattack was performed, it'd be that his opponent favors a nice balance of attack and defense. Helios let out a fierce growl over the proceedings.
"You really set me straight there. It turns out there's actually a Bakugan more annoying to fight than Vulcan. I would've never guessed."
Damian was surprisingly satisfied with how things were going. They weren't doing too much too early. That was a good thing. At least he figured out how the Silver Knight operates now.
"Alright, Silver Knight. You're holding up well so far. You got us warmed up, so that's a plus for you." Damian gave an evil smile as he uploaded his next ability choice. This time, he was going to turn up the heat. "Ability activate! Dynamic Warrior!"
This was an ability that allowed Helios to adapt one of his Layer's characteristics to his body any way he liked to without having to transform yet. He went with his favorite, the Third Layer's unbearable heat. Helios's scales became very bright as his Eruption Claw on his right hand extended due to the staggering increase in temperature. He took flight to hover over Dante as he swiped it across the horizon. Not only did this prove to be strong enough to tear through the landscape even though he didn't touch it with the initial swipe, but it also clawed through the Silver Knight's barrier by a large margin before that space was reformed.
"That totally wasn't on purpose," Damian played off. The aftermath of the attack covered the area in a heat only fit for a planetary core. Dante's weapons would start to melt by the second, that's if the swipe didn't do him already, which he expected it shouldn't.

Listen to howl of our souls Large dragon made another sudden move and this time he tore through the barrier that HQ set up against attacks. The fact that he could break through proved that attack was quite powerful, but it was not a wide-area breakthrough, so there was still no reason for Knights to set up another barrier or start regeneration mode on it.
"You ain't bad yourself, pyro." Alex replies to Damian referring to his skills in battle. Despite the fact that Damian is not showing to be a threat at the moment Alex refuses to underestimate him. During his 'career' of a brawler he lost too many times not to take it as a valuable lesson not to underestimate an opponent. People say that he is the strongest among Spartans, so only an idiot would underestimate him.
Alex quickly takes another card and puts it inside the gauntlet. "Ability activate! Radiant Prominence!" He puts the card inside the gauntlet making it flash and Dante's entire shield starts glowing in golden color with 3 triangles in the middle glowing red. Since Helios is right above them this kind of ability might be quite useful since it is launched directly from the holy shield.
"Well, thank you. Never thought being annoying would sound good." Dante gives a sarcastic reply to Helios.
Dante quickly rises his glowing shield and an immediate spark appears as he targets Helios releasing a golden prominence beam with tinnier crimson beam stored inside it. Beam of golden energy wrapping up another beam of crimson energy soars through the sky like a frenzy lance and heads right towards Helios.

Damian raised an eyebrow to Alex's move. He wasn't bothered by it, but he was wondering why he did it when the Third Layer's heat effect is active. Maybe Dante was geared enough to take that type of temperature? He didn't know, but it was an interesting sight to see.
The sudden light beam from Dante struck Helios who had his arms across his body to guard. That wasn't doing the job for him, so Damian had to play an ability, and he needed to play it now.
"Ability activate! Burst Mode!" Helios pushed his body's temperature to volcanic levels in an attempt to match the same planetary hotness he had already summoned. While that would obviously be in vain, he needed that extra push. Doing so enabled him to erect a barrier so hot that it can nullify any attack that attempts to breach his defenses. This is how he survived after being hit. He converted that energy into his right hand as he crushed Dante's attack within the palms of his hands. He then crashed on top of Dante, causing a violent explosion where the ground itself started to come out of place.

Listen to howl of our souls "Ability activate! Knight Art: Bestial Heart!" Alex says as he activates another ability. Quite close to impact, but should work anyway. This ability bears the class of 'Knight Art' and such abilities work only on Bakugans that are like Dante; knights, paladins and similar kind. It is clear that Helios's ability can't be countered normally because of the amount of power put into it, so Alex simply decides to boost all Dante's stats at once with one ability.
Bestial Heart is an artificial ability that was developed by one Silver Knight who was exceptionally talented at 'buffing tactics'. Basically, what ability does is a decent increase in all stats of user Bakugan. Strength, defensive power, speed, resistance and similar all go booming making a Bakugan like a powerful beast. Perhaps that is why it is called Bestial Heart; as of a relentless beast.
Due to this sudden boost Dante is capable to endure the attack with minor damage thanks to the defense he gained from the ability. As for one of his regular tricks combined with this ability is the fact that he can instantly make his lance and shield vanish and appear. In a flash both lance and shield vanish from his hands leaving his hands free to strike in very close range. Thanks to the speed buff he makes a few quick impacts on Helios's chest and head and then grabs and lifts him with ease. As he does that he tosses Helios with all his might a few dozen of meters forward. Sure, punches could not do that much damage, but he made some space between himself and Helios. After that another flash brought back his lance and shield that disappeared during the use of ability.

Damian silently snickered at Dante's surprising counterattack, not that it did much of anything to Helios, but that trying to obliterate the knight in base form would probably take too much work out of him before he gets to the masked man.
"You really want to work me today, don't you?" Damian was almost reluctant to ask this of Helios, but it looked like it had to be this way. He sighed that he was about to do this only because he didn't plan on giving him the satisfaction on making him consider it. "Helios, how are we feeling?"
"All fired up!" Helios recovered after skidding on the ground briefly before transitioning to a slide. His body's heat managed to suppress some of the damage he took, but it wasn't all of the damage; that's all that mattered from that exchange in close quarters. "That power is calling out to me, Damian. I'm ready to wield it."
He asked, so he shall receive. "Don the Second Layer, Helios!" Helios wrapped his wings around him and knelt down as a bright light covered his entire form. This lasted for five seconds, then it was extinguished. When Helios returned to his feet, he showed himself to have become more fortified across the body thanks to his now streamlined scales, which could very well be considered a set of plate armor now. His wings underwent a minor color change; they now reflected the color of the sun.
"You're strong," Damian commended. "Now you're next step would be to make me consider transitioning into the Third, but I pray it doesn't come to that. I heard it wasn't very nice."

Listen to howl of our souls "Well, hard to deny you kinda asked for it." Alex replies to Damian's comment about making him busy. After all, all Alex is doing is answering to fire with fire. It doesn't take long for pyro-duo to make another move; they initiate some sort of transformation that alters Helios's appearance. Obviously, no one is dumb enough to think that is all fashion; it obviously adds extra power to Helios. Knowing this Alex is tempted to use Chaos Takeover, but is not sure whether it will be necessary; even with power Helios displayed so far Dante still has many abilities in his arsenal that can potentially be deadly if they need to be. He wants to be sure whether he needs to show that much or not.
"I'm not in a rush. It's a nice day, so why not spend it testing the limits before your Third Layer." Alex replies to what Damian had to say about the Third Layer. He wants to see the distinction between power of his base, his Second and Third Layers. Normally, numerous transformations should trigger drastic boosts in strength, but not that Alex can't do the same if Helios proves too tough to defeat.
"Let's see what you got." Alex says letting Damian to make a move in order to test Helios's new powers and compare to previous ones he used.

"You're saying that because you want to get an idea on how to counter Helios in this state, not that I blame you." Damian realized. He started to cycle through the abilities Helios had access to in this Layer, not sure which one to use as a test run quite yet. "I did the same thing before I fought Helios myself back when he and I weren't battle partners. It costed me that Bakugan, but I guess death was worth the price to see what I was up against."
He found the perfect one to use, so he uploaded it to the meter and set Helios free from his shackles. "Alright, Helios. Show him what he wants to see. Ability activate! Melt Stream!" The ground violently shook from Helios's power rising.
"You speak of me as if you will force me into my Third Layer. A part of me hopes you do so you can experience what a tragic death really feels like," Helios added on. Without any visible motion detected from Helios's body, he was able to rise lava out of the ground in an attempt to submerge everything in its burning wake. He chose to do this throughout the entire perimeter, including not only Dante in the potential hazard, but the Silver Knight HQ as well.
"Ha! Choke on that!" Helios challenged. He enjoyed the nice benefit of staying on guard while this all happened.

Listen to howl of our souls "P-S2 code recognized...activating countermeasures." Female voice starts speaking again through the speakers. Suddenly, irritating noise starts coming out of nowhere and now from multiple directions. Suddenly, a weird looking aircraft appears from behind the headquarters. And another one. And another. They create a swarm of 10-12 aircraft that are not much bigger than Bakugans, but sure are dangerous. And here is why.
"Neutron Pulse." Multiple mechanical voices shout and it appears it is coming from those buzzing aircraft things. Suddenly they open fire launching neutron beams towards Helios's attack. Attacks quickly make contact with lava incoming from the ground and a powerful lightning burst occurs. Surprisingly enough lava almost instantly turns to crystal-like rocks and is blocked from further advance. At that point those little air units scatter around in the area.
"Oops...Not the most fair move, but that happens when someone is trying to do something like that in front of HQ." Alex explains referring to those machines that came out of nowhere and did what they did. He then draws a card and puts in the gauntlet. "Now...that I'm finished with warming up...Ability activate! Knight Art: Skyscream Lance!" He says as he activates the ability that starts glowing in red.
Dante takes an offensive stance again and red lightning accumulates on the tip of his lance. Similar to Absolute Lance. However, this one does not distort time and space, but is meant to hit one target precisely without causing collateral damage. However, damage done to the target should be quite dangerous. He points the lance towards Helios and releases crimson lightning that takes form of a large arrow of blood and assaults at Helios at high speed.

Post by Xavier Turano on Sept 11, 2016 22:59:01 GMT -5
For Xavier and the head scientist's first undertaking in their new lab inside of the Mother Palace - and outside if they counted where they'll eventually place them, they were going to put a mechanical Bakugan together that would benefit the planet as a whole rather than for pure battle purposes. It could definitely fight if the opportunity arises, but it's main job was for recreational purposes. This did go against Dasia's orders of not making his and her Bakugan first, but it was an order that had to be disobeyed for right now. There was some suffering that had to be curbed before they got to play with their toys.
They had just finished working on their first one, so they were outside performing an overview of what they just made and why.
"Do you have any idea on what we just did?" Xavier asked out loud.
"We made a Bakugan?" the head scientist asked knowing that the answer wasn't going to be that simple.
"Yes, we did, didn't we?" He was tempted to jokingly punch him in the arm for saying that, but he continued with where he was going. He would've been hit if Dasia was present and heard what he said. "What we did was conquer our waters, especially Beta City."
"Are you saying this Bakugan can do something about the Hurranians contaminating Beta City's waterways?"
"Without a doubt, that's what it's going to do. It's also going to check the rest of the water on Vestal as well. It helps that this Bakugan can swim extremely fast since water covers more of our planet than Earth's does. We will never see a crisis like Beta City ever again."
With this mechanical Bakugan remaining active, it surely won't. With its expansive jet-like frame, it can cross large distances within a short amount of time. It comes equipped with energy blades, revolver barrels, camo projector, and three modes of travel: the basic jet form it's in now, a land form that converts it into a scorpion through the re-positioning of its arms and legs, and an underwater form that converts into a shark.
"Shall we send it over there, sir?"
"That'd be awesome." The unit was quickly dispatched to Beta City. It flew across the horizon like a high-speed jet. Upon reaching Beta City, it dove straight into the water. It projected a force field that expanded across the entirety of the water. Light particles started rising out of the water as an erratic electric pulse covered the territory - likely as a result of the Hurranian's purge.
"Water purification complete. Hurranian life forms present are at 0%," a female voice acknowledged from the mechanical signalling that its mission was complete.
The head scientist was amazed at what just happened. They had witnessed a miracle. After years of having lost the city to Hurranian pollution, they had finally beat them. All of those lives lost - including those of Roxy's family and friends - have finally been avenged.
"We can thank Yita and Roxy for their contributions to this. Let's call it...Macubass."
