"Good girl." Maria happily replied to Yita seeing that the girl was not a psycho as everyone described her. It would be really disappointing if Yita was like Damian; some senseless lunatic who does things because they can. "He would be so proud of you right now." Maria admitted referring to Noland. Not like she knew that fact for real, but she felt kinda happy about it.
"I just knew it. You two would make a perfect couple. What do you think, Hydra?" Maria added and awaited answer of her Bakugan who only looked and did not have words for the situation. "Umm...yea...sure." Hydranoid replied in a bit of confusion, but did not want to go further in it.
Maria then closed her eyes. "Back to business I guess. Apologies in advance for this." She said and then Hydranoid's orb suddenly charged towards Neri and transformed in midair into the monster form. With one swift punch from Hydranoid Neri was sent into a wall and slid down the wall after that. "If I was making the rules I'd rather give you a Master Blaze sculpture made of chocolate and send you home, but... I don't make the rules." Maria said with a mild tone as she apparently did not like the fact she had to fight Yita. At first it seemed like a good idea, but seeing how there was one Spartan whose brain was definitely not made of spare parts was quite a refreshment.
"I guess let's call it a 'training' then. Come on, join the fun." That would be a fun thing to hear if there was a superior or a news reporter present. 'Knights' Admiral being friendly to a Spartan.' However, she had plenty of spare time, so this could go into a productive activity list.

YITA AILEEN NYX  Hao "Spartan" "A chocolate Noland? Really?" Her eyes seems to light up at the though before she shifted her attention to the situation at hand. "Ahem. Fine by me I suppose. More time away from that idiot of a Spartan." Yita hums as she pulls out and readies her deck. Hopefully Niko wouldn't wake up and try to "help". All she would really do is get into the way and halt her in her actions.
Yita looks over to Neri who took a few breaths before the cat flung herself back onto her four paws. "I really hate the saying cats can land on their feet." The feline mumbles as she trots up beside Yita then crouching down into a battle stance.
"In the end you're on your feet. Let's go, ability activate! Power off," Yita calls out as Neri does her signature binding technique that seemed to be super effective against that fight against Alana. Ahhh, good times.
Neri races over to Hydranoid and circles her a few times, the light chain coming out of her tail ring and closing in. "I'l continue to watch over my darling." ► kaigra ◄ |

And so battle with the Spartan girl began. She was not losing too much time, but started off with a quick ability. It sure was an effective tactic against heavier opponents like those of Hydranoid and Gorem kind, but Zero Hydranoid had a few tricks that separated her from basics of her own kind.
One of those tricks was speed; Zero Hydranoid was exceptionally quick when compared to other Hydranoids and it was quite a horrifying threat to have a deadly monster of that size being able to move so effortlessly.
Yita appeared to be acting on her own; she came there for Noland and did not seem to have any order of action given by her superiors which was kind of weird. If plan was to destroy human race secretly giving order to your subordinates to attack a warring faction on Earth would be an exact way of how not to do it. So, not only Yita, but those other two Spartans appeared to be acting on their own. It was a very dangerous move to make critical plans while having your subordinates off the leash intruding everywhere.
"Mind if I ask you a question? Are you getting in trouble if your superiors find out about this intrusion? You don't seem to be here by any order." Maria asked out of curiosity thinking that she might find out something useful from conversation with that girl. Problem was that if plan is to destroy humans then anyone who harms the plan will probably be targeted. That included Yita; she could be killed by her own comrades or superiors for this.
Hydranoid used her speed and effortlessly jumped in the air in a blink of an eye. She then used her wings to forcefully land close to Neri and while landing she pointed her right fist towards the ground. Upon landing her fist hit the ground and produced a field of furious dark lightning that instantly negated Yita's ability and proceeded to dissolve Neri's energy from the body. "Oh, just a tip for you, sweetie. Avoid Hydra's attacks as much as possible. They dissolve opponents' energy, so if kitty gets hit by 'em kitty will get too exhausted to maintain monster form." Maria advised. That was another Hydranoid's trick; dissolving energy and consuming it. Exactly why Alex never can defeat Maria; her Hydranoid can consume most of Valiant Strive's power by the time that monster even makes a move. Maria wanted to see more of Yita's moves, so she did not want Neri to get weakened that much.

Yita's signature giggle escaped her lips. "Well I have a pro tip for ya," Neri groggily gets back up, panting heavily due to her loss of energy from Hydranoid's attack. "Explaining your move sounds cool and all, but some things are better left a secret. Something liiike Doskey."
With that ability called out, Neri sinks her claws into the field, causing a circle of binary numbers to appear behind her for a brief moment as if she were ripping through the system of the brawl and altering the routes. After a few seconds of the binary circle, Neri crouches down and launches towards Hydranoid, slashing her claws against her scales. As the cat left the ground, the circle vanished and the binary pattern seems to have transferred over to her claws. The slash done did effects identical to the draining effect Hydranoid had done to her. "Now I believe that the hitting rule applies to the both of us."
The female fiddles with the card she just played, flipping it through her fingers. "Leaves your opponents in the dark and unsure on how to counteract the ability."

"Aww, she and her cat are so adorable." Maria commented as she watched Neri do her move. "Really? I heard cats taste weird." Hydranoid replied with curiosity, but even she had some manners not to eat a cat. At least that's what everyone says. "If she wasn't a Spartan I say her and Master Blaze would already be married." Maria was not giving up on her opinions and shipping Noland and Yita. "Just let it go for now, would you? You don't want to keep them waiting." Hydranoid got a little irritated by Maria's constant shipping and inability to stop doing it, but that was how it went between these two; always some friendly arguments.
Hydranoid's eyes blinked and then her body was instantly coated in ice making her look like a massive sculpture. Suddenly, a cloud of darkness emerged from the ice sculpture and went behind the sculpture. Cloud of darkness then formed into Zero Hydranoid. "How do you like it? We call it Frigid Spirit." Maria said.
This was one basic multi-use ability. It coats Hydranoid in protective ice shell and then removes Hydranoid from it leaving all negative effects and ailments attached to the sculpture-like ice shell instead.
"Here, kitty! Fetch!" Hydranoid lifted the ice sculpture like it was made of feathers and just casually tossed it towards Neri. Force put into that throw really made sculpture go fast towards Neri and something of that mass is very dangerous at huge speed. "You say that to dogs, Hydra." Maria commented. "Oh...nevermind then." Hydranoid gave a slight laugh.

"Your partner is right Hydranoid. Please do get your comments correct next time." Neri says calmly as her eyes follow the ice coming right at her. "Little hint," Her tail flicks over to point at Niko's sleeping for over to the side, completely oblivious as to the current situation. "Snoozy's bakugan is mostly canine, that comment would make more sense."
Yita sighs at her partner's talking. Though she didn't seem like it, the feline sure was annoyed at the comment. "Okay then, now that you're done, let's get this ice block on a different route. Reconfig."
The cat takes one steps towards the ice to summon a binary formed barrier which was strong enough to stop the ice statue, but caused the shield to shatter at the speed it was coming at. Neri's fangs glinted in the light as she lunged for the ice and sung them into the solid water, once again altering the data.
When she withdrew, the ice shattered and was flung in different directions to reveal Neri instead, the negative effects now just balled up in the ice. She flung herself around and hits her tail on the sculpture to send it back at a surprising alarming speed for a tail whip.

"I like that fighting style and spirit." Maria commented. She liked the way Yita fought and was absolutely not wondering why she was able to defeat some of the Resistors some time ago. Her fighting style was very tricky and if misunderstood or ignored it would end badly.
Hydranoid opened her mouth on the middle head to do one of her signature attacks and this one was not going to be beautiful such as that perfect ice-sculpturing. "Dissolve." Hydranoid silently said and fired a cloud of green acid-like liquid that went straight for the ice sculpture heading towards them.
Acid just went through the ice-sculpture dissolving all of it in an instant.
However, acid did not stop and it continued on its course and Neri happened to be in the way of it. "Acid is not good for cats' fur, so stay alert." Maria advised knowing that Neri would probably not like something like that on her fur since it'd burn through it just like with the ice.

"You got the acid being bad for a cat's fur right." Yita says as she watches with the same smile she's been wearing for the whole time. She then waves a single card which reacts to Neri's roar. "But you see, Neri isn't... and ordinary cat." The feline was practically drowned in the acidic matter, steam coming off her form as the liquid began to drip off her. Like Yita said, Neri wasn't all too normal, just like to rest of them. "Form shift."
The acid dripped off to reveal not a furry white cat, but a mechanical structure of a cat that resembled Neri's form. "It's been a while since I've been reduced to reveal this form." Neri says with heavy breathing.
"You'll be like this for a while Neri, sorry 'bout that." Yita says with a shrug. The cat replies with a huff, her blue orbs that were her eyes looking at the Hydranoid. "Let's try out a few abilities now that you're in this form."
Neri let's out a very robotic sounding roar, puffs of steams coming from the pipes in her shoulders. She then made a dash towards the reptile, only to do a Feint and appear from above and smash down on the back of Hydranoid, quickly bouncing back toher original spot, her join squeaking as she did so.

Looking at the young Spartan and her Bakugan Maria was really amused. She was really amused by stunts and tactics those two were pulling off on her, but not that being good at acrobatics was going to do much against a moving fortress like Hydranoid. If she could survive and defeat Valiant Strive then it would be a shame to fall so easily against a few tricks.
"Orichalcum Arm." Maria said and activated an ability card right from her hand without using a gauntlet. She was much faster at activating abilities this way than using a gauntlet and ,plus, she did not like gauntlets. "Here are some free accessories. I hope you like shiny things." Maria said with a smile.
What came in handy here was Hydranoid's ability to move very quickly making her quite dangerous in melee combat against someone who does not focuses on defense. She swiftly moved and found herself right in front of Neri before hitting the ground with her left fist. Impact against the ground created a light-purple blast that headed in all directions and knocked Neri back a few meters. That, however, was not the end. Light-purple shiny crystal-like mass started forming on Neri's legs, tail and the top of the back. It kept expanding over Neri's body aiming to clad cat's entire body in crystal.

The knock from the impact tossed Neri to the air, but she manages to land on her feet just like cats would. Of course, the ability wouldn't end with some lunch that Neri could recover from. There was some strange ice-crystal substance forming all over her mechanical form. "Okay, this doesn't look all too good." Neri calls out as she turns her head around to look at herself.
"No worries." Yita calmly hums. But really, she was quite panicked at the sight of how quickly this ability was going. At this rate, if she doesn't do anything within the next few seconds, Neri would be frozen over and it would be game over for her. "I got ya covered. Deletion gaze and rem sphere."
The crystal substance closed on Neri as Yita called out those abilities, completely engulfing the feline. It took a few seconds for the abilities to trigger. It started with a flash from Neri's eyes as her mechanical body puffed up slightly to break the crystal once the flash of her eyes took care of the factor that made it strong. This was then followed by Neri curling up on the ground before leaping into the air with a ball of light trailing her tail. She flicks it at Hydranoid and sends a sound wave of her roar to boost the speed and force of the sphere.

Hydranoid was not being pushed back by all these attacks, but they had to admit that Yita and Neri definitely had spirit for this speedy action. Maria met lots of people who pack a mean punch, but they barely put any spirit into their fights. This was why Maria liked how Yita fought her fights; it wasn't just an empty chain of pointless moves or an empty strategy, but it was actually good.
"Impressive. Spartan that is not annoying." Maria commented as she watched Yita's and Neri's work in motion. "Vampire Raid!"
Vampire Raid is an ability that originally comes from real vampire-Bakugans that have been inhabiting for uncertain period of time. Zero Hydranoid is nothing close to being a vampire, but she was able to learn abilities like Fist Of Gods, Death Sentence, Dragon Emperor Cannon and so on by observing and fighting other Bakugans. Some might mistake it for utility of Kuzuha-race; absolute mimic of appearance, abilities and skills. Unlike Kuzuha-race Zero Hydranoid does not need to shape-shift her body and abilities to gain access to a new array of abilities; she simply learns what she sees and uses it. "Hydra, take care of that." Maria ordered pointing at the sphere.
"Lunch." Hydranoid said quietly not giving a clue whether she referred to Neri or her sphere. Hydranoid's body 'exploded' into thousands of particles that re-shaped into bats. Bats scattered all over the room avoiding Neri's sphere, but right after the attack they headed towards the sphere and all gathered on it biting into it. They started consuming the power from it and sphere soon vanished while the bats started glowing of the consumed power. Bats quickly made three circle formations and in the middle of each circle and orb was formed. Three orbs were launched at Neri; each one sized as Neri's sphere during the attack. Bats quickly came together and turned into mist that re-shaped back into Hydranoid's original body.
Three orbs headed towards Neri. "Consumes ability and returns it at triple power. Show me more tricks of yours." Maria said expecting Yita to throw more tricks around and avoid those spheres. Yita didn't look like someone who would just let that slide.

NIKO ADRIAN NYX  Darkus "Spartan" "You two really should keep it down." Niko says despite still laying limp on the ground. Her voice seems to echo throughout the area, bouncing off the walls and floors. Tendrils of shadows begin to form around her. "Invoke, Donovan."
The said bakugan leaps out from the shadows, using the tendrils to form himself. He rather gracefully landed in the middle of the field that Hydranoid and Neri were using as their brawling ground- not for too much longer though. His dual-colored eyes look towards the opposing darkus force. "Here's to the perks of not being an actual bakugan." Donovan's scorpion tail flexes back to have a green substance drip from its pointy tip.
"Getu virkja," The green liquid from the tip of the tail drips off and goes crashing onto the floor which then pulsed a sickening green. As this happened, any ability that was being played instantly froze and dissolved into the same green liquid that dripped from the tail. "Draumur riki." The green pulses to make their way up of the darkus duo that Yita was fighting against. "I'll see you there." He says, referring to the dream lands that he knew so well. The beast had a strong feeling that he would see them there, knowing very well that the venom he released onto the field was a really potent substance. And with that, Donovan disperses into shadows again, retreating back to Niko's shadow, leaving the darkus duo to hopefully succumb to sleep. If that didn't happen, the dream being would have to make another appearance to try to sway them to sleep. "Tangled in the darkness, all I see are nightmares." ► kaigra ◄ |

"Damn you Niko!" Yita hisses as she sets one knee on the floor, growing more tired every second ever since that nuisance of a bakugan appeared. She'd have to go beat Niko up later for this, all because "they were too loud." What a lame excuse, if she wanted to pull another sleeping stunt she may as well use some better excuse- even then Yita would still beat her older sister up. She may have been in many of these sleeping stuns and not be affected, but maybe it was because of the ability that Donovan dished out. It was much different than the one Niko and Domovan would usually use.
"Those two never learn." Neri huffs with an annoyed tone, her movements more staggered and sluggish due to being heavily affected as well. Her legs began to tremble, eyelids becoming heavier each passing moment.
The spartan wouldn't go down without a fight, even if it was between her own comrade, a family member that didn't mean to have her twisted in the ability. "Ability activate, illuminating force!"
Neri's energy was instantly restored and rushes towards Hydranoid with a barrier forming around her. Yita perks up at her energy coming back to her, seeing the will of her feline partner. The feline runs straight up towards the Hydranoid for the barrier to come into contact with the darkus bakugan. Once the two forces collided, the force field went of in a fury of lethal sparks to a bakugan of the darkness attribute.

"Eh?" Maria mumbled after seeing that turn of events in battle. She was threatened of being put to sleep in the middle of the fight which would not be a good thing for certain. "Hydra!" She shouted at her Hydranoid who already knew what needed to be done. This time Hydranoid decided to get rid of both Spartans' attacks at once. "Darkness From Beyond!" She shouted activating an ability on her own.
'Darkness From Beyond' was an ability that was created by using knowledge and power stored inside the Doom Dimension. What this ability does is that it breaks the seal between the current realm and Doom Dimension opening up a crack in dimensions and forcefully directing any incoming or active attack into it and sending it to the Doom Dimension. Someone could call this a forbidden ability since it taps into powers of the Doom Dimension, but it can only be used on non-living things. This is one of the reasons why Bakugans that like to buff themselves a lot rarely have any chance to win against Hydranoid; it all just ends up being sent to the Doom Dimension.
Huge portal of darkness appeared in front of Hydranoid as it was some sort of shield and it started 'vacuuming' energy from Donovan's and Neri's abilities rapidly until it was nothing left and their abilities were completely drained. Portal closed after this.
"Hmm...that could have been 1-hit defeat, couldn't it?" Hydranoid commented on Niko's attempt to put them to sleep like that. "Heh, this one grew quite a lot in power since that battle with Resistors. Impressive pace." She added seeing that Niko was definitely a bigger threat than Yita since those attacks were not a joke. However, Maria was not amused by this. She sighed quietly at this.
"Power?" Maria said after hearing Hydranoid's comment. "To fight and win like that... I find it cowardly... But who am I to judge tactics of a Spartan? 'Unfair' is their 'normal'" She said to Hydranoid in disappointment that she had to fight someone like that again. Former Admiral of Silver Knights used that kind of tactic on her. His ability, Dream Mist, would cause his targets to feel like they were drunk and that way they would be completely helpless against his attacks.
"Ah, well... No point in discussing this. Ability activate! Evil Detonation!" She took an ability and activated it to engage both opponents in battle at once. Once this ability was activated Hydranoid rushed towards Neri at amazing speed and grabbed her. Since Neri did not have her barrier anymore it was an easy job. Hydranoid tainted Neri's body with darkness at that moment and forcefully tossed her at Niko and Donovan. As Neri flew towards those two her body was being progressively surrounded by more and more darkness until she became a center of a large dark bomb that was going to explode on impact if it actually hit its mark. And when that darkness explodes it sure does not look pretty.

NIKO ADRIAN NYX  Darkus "Spartan" A faint whisper could very barely be heard, if you listened close enough, "Enough. Take her for the medium."
"You have proven yourself to be a nuisance now." Donovan growls as he reforms from the shadows once again, this time the dark forms that resembled hands coming from the back of his mane extended and whipping wildly about the place. "Remember Neri, you brought this upon yourself." The pair of dark mass hand raise above him as they begin to pulse with an unknown energy. "Getu virkja, mork kostnad."
The tendrils from his mane latch onto Neri and stop her from colliding into him or his still snoozing partner. A guttural growl was heard from Donovan as he mutes out the agonizing cries of the feline in his grasp and charges her with his own energy which could be highly lethal with the proper dosage. The darkus bakugan decided to charge the haos cat to the brink of that lethal limit. "skerpa," And he tosses Neri back to Hydranoid.
The attack traveled rather slowly in comparison to all of the quick and speedy movements his haos counterpart pulled off, but this one would land a huge number on the opponent for sure considering that it was honing in and wouldn't stop until it hit the desired target, and would be really hard to stop, seeing that Donovan wasn't a pure bakugan with that pure bakugan energy.
Donovan's right yellow eye glowed a soft yellow as a small and faint smirk appeared just briefly on the edges of Niko's lips. "Tangled in the darkness, all I see are nightmares." ► kaigra ◄ |
