"Your other eye is next," Gladion suddenly threatened.
"And just for putting me through that nightmare, I'm going to make sure the next thing you taste is your own blood!" Tank yelled through his stupor. It sounded a bit extreme to threaten her out loud like this, especially when he had nothing personal against her specifically. Now that he has been attacked by a Bakugan and subjected to the horrors that were inside that little dream world, Tank was beyond furious.
A translucent blue light surfaced from within Tank's inner being. The same power started to show itself on Gladion. Simultaneously, the duo started rising to their feet, allowing their will to take shape and form a power that not even Niko can put to sleep. This was the power of Tank's DNA, his divine power.
"How dare you force that upon me! What's your game!?"

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" "Think about it this way Tank," Niko says, beginning to explain herself for the first time in a long while. "Imagine what you have experienced in your sleep. Take the horror level of it to the max level and to be having those kinds of... Thoughts appears every time you even close your eyes. What you just went through was nothing more but a fraction of what I experience on a day to day basis." She gaze shifts to the general location of Donovan and she gives him a nod before continuing. "The only reason I have not been having these nightmares so often if because of Donovan. For each sleep thought he consumes, the more powerful he gets. In returns, I finally have nightmare-less nights. No dreams though, just a dark slate. Every time Donovan gets out knocked out form battle, I have to go at least a few days with nightmares."
Her voice became slightly softer as he began to explain one of the few nightmares she experiences to Tank in his kind of view, "Picture this. Every time you go to sleep you find yourself hanging out with Katherine. You lead her somewhere, and she gets brutally hit by a truck, and you aren't able to do anything about it. Then it resets. You try to get her away from being hit by the truck, but a building beam falls from the skies and pierces her right down the middle. Then it resets, again. You try to save her, again. But then she dies, again, but in a completely different way." Niko takes a deep breath to calm down, her voice just about on the edge. "No matter what you do, she keeps dying one way or the other. And that's just one of the reoccurring nightmares."
Niko sighs, "These nightmares have been getting uncontrollable as of late." Her speech falters as he balls her hands up into fists. "More than I could possibly handle. That's why Donovan needs to get stronger by eating both dreams and nightmares alike." She raises her hand on Donovan's direction.
"Aquos and a mythology based aura, I could really pull this off," Donovan hums, the pendant he has on his neck glowing a dark blue, like the aura he had sucked out of Tank. "Ever heard of a Fenrir? The ice wolf from what you call the Norwegian legends?" A dark flash engulfed Donovan, revealing him in what looks like an aquos-darkus based form. He remained a canine and kept his scorpion tail as well. "Tangled in the darkness, all I see are nightmares." ► kaigra ◄

"So...basically Hydranoid, but worse," Gladion noticed of Donovan's method of gaining power. The people Alana and Maria defeats wouldn't even notice that the Hydranoid are shaving off power from the victim since they'll just gain it back later, but Donovan's case...was just disgustingly savage. The affected target felt pain, and that was what Gladion could not stand. "That's selfish, you know that?" Every word about Niko's situation registered in Tank's mind instantly. Before he could begin to explain what was wrong with that, Tank fought through the drowsiness with the aid of his DNA and swiped an ability that would erase this hold Niko has over them. "Ability activate! Weapons Cache - Caduceus!" It was usually a fool's gambit to want to hold a weapon with snakes attached to it, but as long as the reptiles remained at peace, then so will the wielder. Gladion briefly dropped his blade and his shield. A portal dropped off a pristine golden staff in Gladion's left hand, one that had wings near the top - the same set that appeared on Gladion's sandals to show that the two weapons come from the same god - and snakes intertwined on the handle. It shone its golden light as its powers came into being. The wounds Gladion suffered and the scratches on his armor began to fade. Every part of him was restored back to what it once was. The same went for Tank, removing the little mark that Donovan had given him. Now wide awake without any dangers of being hit like that again, Gladion fastened the staff on his waist and took his sword and shield in his hands once more. His stance was as fierce as Tank's sharp focus. Niko had now proven herself to be an extremely potent foe. There was no more chances for their guard to be lowered now. They could barely afford it. Even the upper echelon of the Silver Knights would think twice about engaging Niko in her current standing, but this is where Tank was, and that's where he'll be, fighting a powerful opponent with the skill that he has. "Take this from a bastard who nearly succeeded in doing this. Just because you're hurt doesn't mean you have to make other people hurt with you just so you can heal. That's how you start war," Tank warned the mysterious Spartan. "And this war you just started with me...it's going to end with you in tears, because I have a bond that is very real and I'll gladly lay down my life to keep it intact." "There's no opponent out of our reach," Gladion added, pointing his blade at Donovan in a threatening manner. "I'll point my blade forward and charge straight through your illusions."( Boss Theme 2) Tank balled his fists as he got ready to tackle this head-on. This was going to be tough, but Gladion could handle it. "Katherine, Steve, everyone...this is for you!"

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" "Start a war you say? Just because of a single little nightmare that harmed you?" Niko hold up a single finger, her index finger to further emphasize her point. "That sounds rather childish if you ask me. I'm sure other can agree. War over a single nightmare that made you wet your pants in bed. Sounds like a matter of childish pride I must say," Niko hums, blinking her lifeless multicolored eyes. Then her tone of voice went dark, "Your nightmare only consisted of people you have close to you leaving. At least you didn't see people repeatedly die. Or being abused by those you deem close. Heck, you didn't get raped and wake up with the same marks from the nightmare!" Niko hisses, tears daring to drop from her eyes. "Gleipnir!"
Donovan does his own summoning of a weapon. It looked like a ribbon though, one that the ribbon dancers would dance with. One end was wrapped around Donovan's tail, while the other was out and flowing. "We only target people who haven't been 'nightmared' yet. It isn't like we have a constant victim, it's all spread out." Donovan says as he eyes the new weapon with interest. "A ribbon? I didn't see that coming." He waves his tail to watch the fabric dangle and bounce about. "Then again, this thing is made with contradictions. Footsteps from a cat, a beard for a woman, breath of fishes. So a strong ribbon would fit I suppose." The dark-ice canine chortles as he spins his tail around slightly, causing Gleipnir to wave the motions.
Without warning, he launches himself to Gladion, but he didn't aim to wrap him with the ribbon. No, that was Neri's kind of move. Donovan made a move so that the staff that Gladion had would be wrapped by the ribbon, and yanks it from his belt to toss it to the side. When the ribbon made contact with the staff, Donovan absorbed all the energy it had. When the snake-staff was tosses to the floor, it dissolved into nothing but dust. Gleipnir was still in tact, showing no signs to tearing or ripping. Not even the smallest tear. "What kind of tool do you plan on summoning now Gladion?" "Sure you did. I guess having several victims as opposed to one makes the act so much better," Gladion explained of Donovan's statements, saying them in a very demeaning tone of what he thought of his opponent's intelligence.
"A single little nightmare? Is that what you call what you just did to me, the one where I wouldn't have woken up from normally and would have continued to suffer through it until it ended?" Tank shook his head in disgust that this freak would call him childish over being affected by a power that no one else would even know about unless it happened to them. "So what if all of that happened to you? You have to shit on me because of it, then think everyone else's nightmares are so weak compared to yours that they're mere children to you? What an epic sham! Gladion, charge!"
"Got it!" Donovan's mistake was going after a weapon that barely had any power left. He was literally asking to be punished by Gladion.
"Fusion Ability activate! Art of Battle - Sabotage!" The one thing you do not do against Gladion is use a weapon. This ability showed the reason why in the perfect manner, and Gladion didn't have to make physical contact with Donovan to use it since his ribbon already touched Caduceus.
Donovan found himself constricted by his own weapon, particularly around his throat. Gladion hastily flew to Donovan and lodged his blade in the canine's abdomen. Seeing as it was losing its edge from its time on the battlefield, Gladion preferred for Donovan to painfully remove it instead. Gladion then kicks Donovan in the face with enough force to send him to the walls.
"Tell you what. I think you're getting off too easy," Tank started up again. "Perhaps those things you listed should happen to you again until your eyes are finally forced open to the nightmares you're spreading."

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" Niko looks at Tank, glaring at him without knowing, she is blind after all. "Stop talking as if you know the power we work with." Donovan's fenrir mane seems to bristle with a dark powder as a responce to what Niko said, like a dark version of pixie dust from disney. "Such dark magic is something you have never tampered with." She holds her arms out beside her, finger extended outward. "My eyes are already wide open Tank! But I'm too late! The nightmares were trying to tell me something, and I cowered away in fear until it was too late." She lowers her voice to a dangerously dark tone. Soft enough so that only her and Tank would hear. "When I opened my eyes, my blood spilled blood and the white flowers were dyed red." Niko blinks once before continuing, "They are nightmares because they face what you fear the most, what you have to overcome. Tank, you have a life, people you genuinely care for you, even a soulmate. Don't be foolish and overlook the visions, they try to tell you something."
"Nice call on tying Gleipnir to restrain me like it's done in the myths," Donovan chuckles as he raises the end of his tail to have the tip slowly tear down the fabric, and it was done as easy as cutting warm butter. "Too bad I'm a dream demon and not an actual fenrir." The fabirc drops to the ground and denigrates into the air. Donovan had just halted his own ability. "Once again, not my vital organs." The demon hums as he yanks it out with his tail with ease, showing no signs of discomfort any whatsoever. The weapon he threw hit the walls of the brawling field and shattered like porcelain."Try again."
"Mánagarmr," Niko murmurs, holding her hand out to the field.
Donovan's fenrir form shifted slightly along with the field. There was now a pattern of a sun on one shoulder blade while there was a crescent moon on the other. "Did you know that the fenrir plays a big part in destroying majority of the gods' world in Scandinavian mythology?" He licks his chops while the sky became dim, like the sun and moon were taken out of the picture. "In addition to killing the god of war, the wolf even devoured the sun and the moon." That's when the place when pitch dark, save for the lights coming from sources such as the flashlights from the audience. Before the stage lights could go on, Donovan made a dash to them and place them out of commission. "Embrace the darkness, for only then you will find the light."

Tank knew it by now. Niko was flustered. Her feelings were finally coming out. The personified Ouija board now wanted to coerce him into believing that he should be sticking his head in the pool of darkness in order to make it into a sanctuary. Why do that when it's not necessary? For all Tank knew, he'd be subjecting himself to pain that he doesn't even have to endure.
"Let's get something straight. There's only one reason why you'd even mention Scandinavian myths when Gladion and I have nothing to do with that," Tank suggested. "That's just another way of telling me that you're out of your league."
Tank then swiped one ability. That was all he needed right now. "Ability activate! Weapon of the Gods - Claymore of Zeus!" Gladion placed Aegis on his back as his most powerful blade was bestowed upon him. When he received the two-handed sword from a nearby portal, Gladion hoisted it up to get in Donovan's way while attempting to attack the nightmare himself. The major obstacle for Donovan would be in the electrical energy that surges through the blade itself. It has enough potency to cause painful seizures of the opponent's muscles if they get too close. It was the perfect sign of the light shining through the darkness.

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" "Oh no, I'm only mentioning it because I thought you'd find it interesting." Donovan says in the darkness. It was hard to pinpoint the wolf for his voice bounced off the walls. It was unknown if he was just hiding from the sword or not. "It is your DNA's tie with mythology that gave access to these powers. Just thought I'd repay the favor a bit with a small history session." A soft growl could be heard from within the darkness. "Seems like you don't care for it though." A pair of glowing red eyes could now be seen. "No worries, that's how the story ends."
Niko brushes off what Tank had said about her, it obvious that he was simply going to find a way to turn it all against her, even if he didn't know what she had been though. At least she had some knowledge on his position on the planet they call earth. "You don't be saying things like that to someone you barely even know the dreams of." She says in response to what he said before she throws out another ability. Once again, it laid in the same theme they have been following for the past few moves. "Skoll."
The sky was illuminated by a moon. No, it didn't come back into the sky, it was the moon that formed on Donovan's shoulder before the lights went out. There was one where the pair of red eyes were, exactly where Donovan was. But in a split second, one pair of eyes became two, then two became four. Multiplying exponentially, there was no longer a single point, but thousands that warmed the field. All with the same glowing moon on the shoulder blade. The situation appeared like it could get a bit dicey. Donovan was blending in with the dark atmosphere of the field. The multiplication of the number of eyes being seen made it look like they were gearing up for an assassination.
"Tank, this is starting to get uncomfortable," Gladion called out. It wasn't the plethora of eyes that worried him. It was what Donovan could be capable of in this environment that made him act cautious. Even his sharp senses may not be enough to overcome the odds if they all jump out at once and Zeus' lightning can't purge them all.
Tank was aware of this and had the proper ability to dispel this uncertainty. It was undeniably handy against Frosch. The same was going to happen against Donovan, and he won't see it coming.
"Tsk...okay. That's it." Tank would have appreciated any form of persistence in battle, but this one was not it. Niko needed to be taken down immediately. This dream world stuff was not his thing. "Gladion...release the Kraken!"
"Consider it done!" Gladion plunged the sword into the ground. Lightning discharged from it to provide an area of protection around Gladion in case Donovan grew a pair and attacked; this was also done to illuminate a good portion of the field that Donovan attempted to cover. At the same time, blue ripples emanated from the point of impact all the way across the field. The ground appeared wavy, just like the roaring sea.
Then...a thundering roar could be heard across the horizon as large tentacles emerged from underneath.
"Ability activate! Conquest of the Kraken!" Gladion kept the steady surge of lightning going to keep up the protection while this mythical beast - said to have been encountered by Tank's fleeing ancestors - did the rest.
These monstrous tentacles flailed around the field. The multitude of eyes disappeared one by one as the slamming of these tentacles produced a force so great that it leveled everything that was within close-to-medium range. Gladion propelled himself into the air using Hermes' sandals to keep himself out of harm's way while the Kraken demolished everything, including pieces of the barrier to some extent.
"I can say whatever I want. This is reality, not your little dreamland," Tank shot back. "And the reality is...your dreams are about to get crushed!"

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" "Hah! You really believe I have dreams?!" Niko shouts, a crazed look evident on her face, even if she was holding her left hand over half of her face. "I don't have dreams like you, your friends and family, nor anyone else you know. If anything, there's only one dream I have." Her tone of voice was hushed, a solemn look flashing in her eyes for a brief moment, "To be able to see and dream again." She flare returned shortly afterwards as she activates yet another ability. "Jörmungandr!"
Donovan was still left shrouded in the darkness, nothing giving off his location. It was unlikely he was going to be found though, there was still a swarm of doppelgängers roaming around the place even after Gladion had unleashed his monster companion. Not to mention the sun was still out of commission. The demon was still very much here. His dark magic was worked on the Kraken and the tentacles slowly formed into the heads of sea serpents. There was a large number of them, but one stood out from the rest. An enormous head emerges from the water, a long, scaly body following after it. It didn't look that big with the limited amount of space, but it's guaranteed that this beast is ginormous. Big enough to circle the earth and grasp its own tail at the end. The heads begin to lash out at Gladion. If needed, they would elongate themselves to get higher to get a better lash at him. "Tangled in the darkness, all I see are nightmares." ► kaigra ◄

"Really...?" Yes, really. The Kraken had just been brainwashed into attacking Gladion, and that was REALLY bad. With Donovan and his clones running amok in this darkness, things were looking rather glum for Tank. You could say that he was in prime position to lose this battle. Then again, was it really ever that simple to score a win against Tank? It didn't matter who you were. There was going to be one hell of a fight to make Tank lose. This wasn't even close.
Gladion managed to dodge a few of them and even slice many of the incoming tentacles. The bombardment proved to be a bit too much and Gladion was restrained. The now-hostile Kraken didn't mind hitting Gladion's claymore out of his hands before trying to pull him down to his demise. "Remind me not to piss this thing off!" Gladion grunted in agony from its bone-crushing grip.
"Shake it off, Gladion! Ability activate! Warrior's Pride!" Niko wanted to cripple Tank. She wanted to get him into the darkest corners of the battlefield so she could take her time breaking him down. That wasn't going to happen with this ability being activated, because the chains of battle were coming off.
A blue light shined in both Tank and Gladion's eyes. Gladion forcefully broke free from this monster by pushing his arms outward. He then flew through numerous attacking tentacles to retrieve his sword. Facing the Kraken head-on this time, Gladion took Aegis off of his back and pointed Medusa's head towards it. Thanks to the added power from his ability, the shield was able to petrify the Kraken in its place, sparing Gladion from its deadly onslaught.
"That's too bad. Taking that over was the best chance you had at beating me. If the Kraken couldn't do it, there's no way in hell your pathetic Bakugan is winning against us! We're not even using anywhere near our full power!" Tank initiated his next card. This time, he was going in for a landing. "Ability activate! Earthshaker!"
This was perfect for those who think hiding is a good tactic against Gladion. Little did Niko know, Gladion could sense where the Donovan were making their campfire. All it took was for him to pretend like he was going to charge in there and engage them face-to-face, but he did the exact opposite. His fake-out led him to throw his claymore into the ground. A large portion of the arena collapsed on itself, and the pieces began to ascend. Every single Donovan went on full display on the broken slabs.
"Gladion, let's end this now! No mistakes, and no mercy!" Tank pointed upward, signalling for Gladion to meet his opponent in the sky. This command was followed, Gladion jetting upwards to appear above this floating phenomenon in preparation for an attack. As he did this, Zeus' claymore began radiating with a steady pulse of lightning, as if it had its own consciousness. The various pieces of the broken ground slamming into Donovan and his clones - some fading away from taking the damage - wasn't enough; it had to smother this floating battlefield in a multitude of lightning strikes.

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" Donovan laughs, but it wasn't the one that Gladion had targeted. The laughter came from above Gladion, that's where the demon-wolf hovered. "Think again, I won't hide in such a place where you can easily strike!" He howls before jumping towards Gladion, fangs bared and tail in a curl not far behind him.
She didn't respond to what Tank had said about Donovan being pathetic. The two of them knew well how to handle these sorts of insults, they've heard worse from Niko's parent and sister. The only one that seemed to be the reasonable one was her younger brother. But that is a story for another time. "Hati," Niko calls out in synchronization with her bakugan as he makes a dive towards Gladion.
The ability that was activated caused the sun on his other shoulder to shine at full brightness. Donovan was already prepared for the blinding light. Either he didn't get affected, or he does and it would be like everyday life for him and Niko. Though for someone who hasn't spend a good portion of their lifetime being blind, a sudden event that renders them blind would place them in a tough situation. Donovan brought both of them down to the ground with a crash like that lightning Gladion had summoned, bits of the field breaking beneath them. The leaps off, careful to make his landing quiet so that his opponent would have a hard time tracking him down by ear. The blinding from the sun should last for a good half and hour, hopefully that would be enough for Donovan to carry out his last bit of work. ► kaigra ◄

Niko outmaneuvering Gladion was a bit unheard of, but that's what happened. The other thing that was out of the ordinary was that Tank didn't look surprised at all. He actually took the news quite well. His eyes were glowing blue during the whole incident. That should make it obvious what Tank had just did.
"Well, he tried, didn't he?" Tank shrugged with an innocent smile on his face. He did this while a few noises could be heard after all of the commotion, specifically a few projectiles being shot and implanted into a certain Bakugan: Donovan.
"Bagged one," Gladion eagerly announced. The gloomy darkness surrounding the area began to fade away. Gladion became more visible when this was all going on. He had bruises over his body from taking that impact, but there were two distinct features on Gladion's body: his eyes were glowing blue and he had a bow.
"Remnants of the Titans - Eyes of Prometheus and Weapon of the Gods - Bow of Artemis," Tank revealed once again, his activation of the abilities going unnoticed by the loud bang Donovan's crash landing caused. "The eye sees into the future, and the bow pierces your hopes and crushes the only dream you had left in this battle: winning."
All Gladion really had to do was see where Donovan was going to land before he even did it, and then the bow did the rest. The arrows filled Donovan's body. Each of them found shelter in vital areas of his body. The fact that projectiles shot from this legendary bow pierces any armor did nothing to help Donovan's case. A loud thud was heard from Donovan collapsing on the ground and returning to ball form, turning gray as a result of the damage inflicted. Niko's life gauge dropped to a big fat zero.
"You said we wouldn't know who lost until the brawl was over, right? Go on and tell everyone what just happened to you. We're all listening."

NIKO ADRIAN NYX Darkus "Spartan" Donovan who was in his ball form flashed a few times before popping back out and revealing his dead-like state in front of the audience. His corpse stayed there for a moment, not a limb of the demon moved, not even twitched.
All of a sudden, he blew up, decorating battle ground with his blood.
It appeared that Donovan was killed by Gladion's attack. Dead. Not alive. No longer in this world, like Niko's only brother. Of course such a performance would make it appear that the wolf had finally been slayed with his life essence splattered all over the place, but that was only what it looked like. Only the dream duo knew what was truly happening.
The pendant that he always wore shot towards Niko. She caught it at the last moment, sensing it mere moments before the precious item was lost in the stadium which she couldn't see. Niko rubs her thump over the gem before looking over to Tank with a small grin. "I'll gladly tell everyone here today what happened." She says, her smile remaining, though her tone held much malice within it.
The darkus brawler turns to look at the audience which she could hear clearly by their chatter. Her voice was no longer the tone she used to speak with Tank just now, but much like an announcer. Her expression had turned to a brighter one as she spoke, "Please give it up for Tank Stryker who has won this battle!" She raises her unoccupied arm to present the said male. Thankfully, she estimated correctly and manages to highlight him rather than the air. "He killed the blind opponent's bakugan, and sentenced them for an eternity of nightmares!" She holds up Donovan's bloodied gem to emphasize her point. "Do be sure he get's the praise he deserves, his ego would much appreciate it!~" The last sentence Niko has announced had a striking resemblance to her younger sister's tone of voice, the tone she would use to frequently taunt her female opponents.
She turns back to look at Tank, "Now you, stop shoving words down my throat, especially what my dream is." Niko places the gem in the safety of her hoodie for safekeeping. "For the record, you're wrong about my dream of me winning this battle. Try thinking over what comes out of your mouth next time, or your anus will be jealous over the amount of crap that comes out of your mouth." With that said, Niko makes her way out of the brawling field, constantly rubbing her partner's keepsake, his blood splattered over her right eye.
"The perfect nightmare is never formed in one night."

Niko was a real party pooper to have her Bakugan die like that. It wasn't like Tank and Gladion intentionally slaughtered the poor thing. Did he want to maim Donovan? Absolutely. Did he deserve to die? No...not even close. The brawl may have been at its end, but Tank could still play abilities. One of them just may save this girl's life.
"Fusion ability activate. Divine Favor." Tank did not sound too excited to play this ability because the tone was ill-fitted for the current situation. It also went against what he said in the beginning about him being as merciful as Markus was. He was about to eat those words, because what he had just done was become more merciful than his rival.
The damage on Gladion's body started to heal. The sunlight gleamed on his armor to depict his body being blessed by the gods power. An additional bonus of this was in the form of his equipment hovering over the field, even the ones lost or destroyed during the fighting. Gladion could control all of these weapons via a telepathic link.
"As messed up as this sounds, there are plenty of people up there that will hate me for what I'm about to do," Gladion corrected. He threw the Bow of Artemis away and traded it for the Scythe of Kronos. He twirled it in his hands before swinging at the thin air. Doing this caused a time distortion within the confines of their area that allowed for a time reversal. Manipulating time in this way would cause extreme discomfort for Gladion and break the weapon immediately, but it was getting done anyway.
Gladion was able to have time go back to the point where Donovan's corpse was laid out on the arena grounds. The scythe shattered in his face instantly. Doing his best to ignore the pain, Gladion ordered the Caduceus to his right hand. He approached Donovan to ensure that he was within range to affect him. When he was, the staff glowed with a golden light. Donovan's body was surrounded in that same power and was restored back to life within a very short time.
Performing actions on this scale left Gladion very weak. As a result, his body attempted to give out on him. It was Gladion's sheer willpower that prevented him from being sent into temporary hibernation himself.
"Gladion..." Tank knew this was an excruciating task for Gladion, but he had one more thing to do. The wounded warrior picked himself back up and limped all the way to Niko herself. Placing Caduceus over her eyes, Gladion activated it in order to cure her blindness, allowing her to see the world through her own eyes. With that done, Gladion was sent back into ball form and turned gray.
