"But...no...please no..." Markus was shuddering at what this was starting to mean. He didn't want to accept it, but that's why Gargulion was going to help him with it.
"Markus..." The calling of his name was all that was needed to get Markus to act right. He walked behind Markus and placed his hand on his head. There was a hint of force applied that would prevent Markus from going any closer to Roxy.
Markus did not want to admit this out loud, but this was a key situation where Tank would have been superior to Markus without any debate. He was immune to the Hurranians; Markus was not. He couldn't do what Tank can do here, and that really saddened him to know that.
"Roxy...yes..." Markus nodded and smiled back at her. "You were...very...strong..." Markus tried not to break down while saying that. This was more difficult than qualifying for nationals.

Roxy laughed when Markus complimented her skills. It was definitely refreshing for him to see her do that to a terrorist leader. "Yeah...I knew it..."
Aquarius dragged her body over to Roxy's so she could be beside her. She then planted herself there with no visible signs showing of whether or not she could get back up.
"You know...I never saw you cry, Markus...especially not this much..." Roxy noticed. "Listen...even if it was only for a short while...I'm glad we met again... I'm glad that you...cared about me...when everyone else didn't..."
She shed a tear herself too. The tear had a faint pulse of energy coming from it, revealing that she was definitely being assimilated.

Roxy had the nerve to try and break down Markus' tough exterior even more. Markus wasn't angry at her for it though. He laughed about it, because it couldn't be helped. This was how he knew his feelings were genuine, unlike anything he had ever felt before. It was something he never wanted to give up. He finally understood what Tank was talking about from personal experience. This was the lowest of the low right here, and it's a low that scared the hell out of him.
"I just wish that I could have done more than care about you..." Markus deeply regretted.
Gargulion hung his head down. The sadness was starting to get to him the more he saw this. If he were a heartless bastard, he would have phased out of this building a long time ago. Perhaps he considered it emotional support to stand there and do nothing while the waterworks were active from both sides. Pretty soon, he'd mistake Markus for an Aquos brawler.
"I said I was going to be there to protect you...and I wasn't..."

Roxy kindly shook her head at Markus' insistence on blaming himself for the way things turned out. From a certain perspective, it could be said that it was his fault for beating her in battle, but...that's very ridiculous to say. He had a punishment to avoid too. That's just the way it goes.
"Don't do that... This is a war... Everything doesn't go...as planned..." Roxy believed. "Besides...you didn't make it all the way here...just to feel sorry for yourself... No, that's not who you are... You're one of the strongest brawlers...who clawed his way out of a difficult path...and you're an even stronger man... You made me believe that...in what you've done for me...even when I took you for granted..."
The building started to rumble. Roxy knew what that meant for all of them. "Aquarius..." she called out.
"Yeah...I know..."
"Markus...promise me one thing...okay...? I want you...to never give up... I know that sounds cliche, but...you never gave up...on your way to the pro league...so I'm asking you...not to let me...make you weak... Carry me with you...and let me make you stronger..."

Markus' heart was at ease with Roxy's comforting words. It made him more accepting of the situation, but not by much. What became clear was Roxy's dream to have Markus look forward instead of looking backwards, much like she had done prior to their fight. Many things across life were easier said than done, obviously.
"I...I promise..." Markus accepted. "Also..." Markus gave Roxy a confident look as tears were streaming down his face. "I'll make sure to beat Tank in your place..."
Gargulion smirked when Markus made that comment. Even in the most serious situations, he couldn't help himself to the banter befitting a rivalry. If it would make it easier to cope, then anything was on the table as far as statements goes. Roxy wanted him to cheer up, and Markus knew what it was going to take for him to do so.
"Aquarius...it has been an honor..." Gargulion respectfully said to Aquarius as an act of farewell.

Roxy was now at peace. She said all she needed to say to Markus. Now it was time for him to go before he got included in this senseless destruction.
"Thank you, Markus..." She had a card on her BakuMeter ready to go. It would be used to send Markus off, as that was the only thing she could really do. "And thank you...for loving me..." She could tell that's how he felt from several miles away. "I feel...the same way too..."
The card activated on the BakuMeter without Roxy having to physically input it, considering she couldn't do that anyway.
"Gargulion...hold him..." Aquarius commanded as she got prepared to shoot something out of her mouth.
"Ability...activate...! Water...Flow...!" Aquarius flicked her tail to call on a surging wave of water. This would be used to give Gargulion a ride out of the building.
"Goodbye...Markus...and thanks...for everything..."

Gargulion immediately grabbed Markus when he noticed Aquarius' preparation for an ability. He didn't know what to expect since the two of them were infected, making it possible for them to go rogue and attack them on sight. It was a good thing that the infection hasn't gotten that far yet. It probably will later on.
The water Aquarius provided served as a nice push out of there. As they were moving out, Markus reached his hand out for the last time before being separated from her, for good this time.
"...Roxy..." Markus soon found himself back outside after Gargulion crashed through the wall. Around three seconds after they exited the building, the explosives were triggered. Explosions occurred on every level of the building until it was leveled to the ground.
Gargulion carefully landed back on the street. He let Markus go, but his body did not move a single time. He was left staring at the building that was just destroyed, the one that had his beloved Roxy stuck in there with nowhere left to go.
"Markus...I'm so sorry..."

The masked person had started clapping slowly to direct everyone's attention north of the building that was destroyed. Diablo was seen hopping over the desolated rubble and landing where the main entrance would be. The two Legendary Soldiers and the one with the Hades had to be confronted. They must pay for what they have done.
"It has been done, but it is nowhere near finished. There is still all of you," the masked person noted. "I made myself clear in the beginning of this fight. I gave you the opportunity to suppress our wrath, but you did not listen. Now do you see what happens when you try my patience?"
MAC Spider looked at the frozen Markus. It used this opportunity to gloat about Roxy's death in a highly insensitive fashion. "Markus! I believe I speak for everyone when I say that what happened here was a tragedy beyond the scope of sadness. There is some good news. We have her DNA, and we could produce a body. We will honor this senseless sacrifice by parading her around the planet. I swear, by my abnormal build of having six legs, that we will do right by this women, and give her the clearest attribute energy stream that we can find."

This spider has made enough innuendos. It has also talked too much before, but this time, it was a few statements too many. Markus had more than enough out of this piece of trash. Markus wiped away his tears and got up on his feet. He slowly walked towards this masked person and his/her two mechanical Bakugan. Gargulion followed him. All this time, the look on Markus' face was fierce. He barely blinked when looking at this savage. There was no one here who could top the anger in his demeanor and his eyes, not even Apollonir or Oberus who had seen this happen plenty of times. His right hand reached over to his BrawlX, and a button was pressed... The same button that carried the will to power through the opposition even if it seemed impossible, the DNA Stimulus. "You want to know what happens when you try MY patience? A purple star of light emanated from his device. Gargulion found himself smothered in this same light. Several pieces of stone assembled out of thin air and amalgamated onto his existing body. When the process was complete, Gargulion was sporting a fiendish body that was muscular. "You get ripped apart," Markus finished. He angrily pointed towards the masked person and the two mechanical Bakugan. "Gargulion, kill them!" ( Boss Theme: 3rd Stage)

MAC Spider looked a little flustered at Gargulion's new form. It turned to the masked person and Diablo as if it were expecting them to have an answer for what was going on.
"I don't have that. Why don't I have that!?" MAC Spider shrieked.
"Hmmmm. Roxy was correct. You are irritating," the masked person responded. Gargulion's power up did not disturb him/her all that much. "I guess it can't be helped. I had no intentions on bringing you into battle. You were not built for this."
"Exactly. So if you'll excuse me..."
"Ability activate! Widowmaker!"
"Wait, what!? No!!!!!!"
On the masked person's command, MAC Spider was forced to turn itself into a murky orb, matching that of Gargulion's actual spirit form. It then lunged at Gargulion like a giant blob of poison.
MAC Spider was essentially invulnerable in this state due to the mass concentration of Hurranians, but if all of them were to be exterminated under special circumstances, the maneuver could be fatal for the spider.

Markus grimaced at the sight of his own techniques being used against him. This seemed to take possession to an extra step. That seemed like an automatic contracting of cancer if Gargulion were to be smothered in that crap. If MAC Spider truly had Gargulion's data, it would know that abilities like that do not work against Markus.
"Ability activate!" Markus said through his teeth. "Power Trick!" Using the combined forces of Ventus and Subterra gave him the power to use a repulsive barrier. Endowing himself with the powers of his Subterra and Ventus frame on each hand, he emitted an invisible wave that acted as an easy tool to redirect MAC Spider's "spirit" form. Diablo was the only suitable target.
"Ability activate! Armed Vessel!" Due to MAC Spider now being apart of Gargulion's attack, he could now shift the spider out of that form and transform it into a Gargulion, albeit with a bat-like body. It contained all of the characteristics the attack had, just in a physical form. It was surely about to get physical once the Gargulion swiped at Diablo with its claws.

MAC Spider's move was useless against another Hurranian, so Gargulion's move was not as lethal as it would have been. Still, it was rather troublesome to see that kind of power come from Markus, almost as if it was a little taste of what was to come.
"Oh?" The masked person was taken aback by this, but only slightly. Diablo put its arms up to guard against the attack. The power of the swipe went right through Diablo and made its mark on the surrounding buildings. The large claw marks seen on Vestal architecture meant that the power Gargulion had was not something to play around with.
The masked person emitted a pulse from his/her right hand that affected this Gargulion and transformed it back into the MAC Spider everyone knows and hates.
"Okay. After seeing that being done to me," MAC Spider started up when he landed back on the ground, "Can I go back to breeding now?"
"Ability activate! Deathly Blight!"
"Can you not!?" Immeasurable amounts of microscopic organisms, presumably Hurranians, began flowing out of MAC Spider's body. The process began compounding on each other. The newly spawned Hurranians began generating a whole new batch, and it was rinse and repeat throughout the entire thing, essentially making an infinite loop.

Markus did not really care what was on the ground at the time. They were all about to be wiped out anyway. His focus never stemmed from his intended target: the masked person. Everything else was a nuisance who never caught the look of his killer stare.
"Ability activate! Terra Breath!" Gargulion, winding up a double axe handle, smashed the ground in front of him. A powerful gust of wind shot up from underneath and erupted as if it were an active volcano. This was more than necessary to eradicate all Hurranian microorganisms released by MAC Spider, as well as knock it and Diablo off balance as a result.

The masked person and Diablo had their cages rattled. MAC Spider was incredibly tilted. In a literal sense, it was sent up into the air and landed back on the ground on its hip. What an embarrassment.
"I'm okay..." MAC Spider rallied while waving its legs.
"Ability activate! Wild Chaser!" The masked person ignored.
"No, wait! I'm not okay!" MAC Spider's legs transitioned to straight, barbed blades. The abdomen twisted around to its opposite side and folded itself to rest near MAC Spider's head. Its legs then started rotating around its body like a spinner. The kinetic energy it generated translated into a barrier erecting around it that made it very difficult for the naked eye to detect the specific parts of its body. In a sporadic fashion, it chased after Gargulion to skewer him into several pieces.
"Have mercy!" MAC Spider begged.

Not showing any signs of intimidation, Markus swiped an ability to counter a move with a rather lethal ability. It was fitting for the occasion.
"Ability activate! Piercing Delete!" Gargulion generated an energy-ridden stake that had an abnormal width, its size being comparable to a scepter. It poses significant risk to an opposing enemy since this is classified as a certain-kill technique if it connects with the victim; however, those with a high enough power level only suffer serious damage as opposed to death. MAC Spider was definitely going on the list of those who will likely die from this technique.
All Gargulion had to do was poise himself to strike MAC Spider in between the noggin. Once he did, he launched it, timing it well so MAC Spider's spinning blades do not make contact with it. It cut straight through the barrier and lodged itself into MAC Spider. Cracks formed along its frame until it violently exploded in a torrential burst of wind.
"Light work," Gargulion insulted as he pointed to Diablo. Markus' gaze turned to Diablo who was next in line.
