[RP Practice III] :: Knights and Eden

The group that attacked and explored the secret hideout of Fina Kyuki found intriguing information that had to be shared. Admiral Asuka Izumo was informed about it; terrorists, unusual Bakugans, Fina's escape and Cyber appearing. For Admiral, Cyber's appearance was of utmost importance so she took Generals Yami Yin and Kyle Brown with her to investigate a bit further. Alongside them, Victoria Nelson and Drei Holtz were sent by Eden's president to try and investigate the corpses further, but for some reason the bodies of the monsters were not there anymore and only acid could be found where bodies used to be; perhaps it was a self-destruction mechanism on death to prevent anyone from finding out about the origins of monsters. Victoria attempted to do research on the spot, but there was no way to determine what the acid was. Admiral Izumo received a message from Marshal to return to Eden's Headquarters so they could speak of the matters as soon as possible. What they talked about is confidential. Only information known was that Marshal detected anomalies across the Earth and even outside the atmosphere; it is like DNAs of various creatures were scattered everywhere for some reason. 

After Izumo's meeting with the Marshal, Marshal left the meeting room with the statement that he may not be back for a while, but Six Lost Generals will be at Izumo's disposal. He also told her to use the 'Achrons' power well' when the time for it would arise. Admiral was asked by Alex Andersen on what they should do about the whole situation with terrorists and Fina at what Admiral calmly replied that they should not be bothered by it at that moment and focus on improving their own powers for 'things to come'. President of Eden had a word with Asuka and two organized a tourney between Mighty 5 of Silver Knights and Seven Angels of Eden for purpose of earning experience and becoming more powerful and versatile. However, the tourney would not be something ordinary, like a mere test of strength or simple Knights vs Eden fight but there would be an unexpected mix. When they heard of this, both teams were a bit surprised; especially Victoria and 3 members of Mighty 5 who were not present at Eden HQ. Victoria, being the busiest of all Angels, would normally decline, but it was a direct order. Other 3 members of Mighty 5 were sent an email and this meant they would need to go to Eden HQ.

Two days after the announcement more information about the tourney were released. Battles would first be mixed; members of both team would mix and fight one another and later one it would be team versus team. Fights would include regular battles, but also tests of endurance, intelligence, strategy etc. Both teams were given one day to prepare and then Eden training grounds were filled with spectators, expecting a show as both teams came prepared for the performance.

The first match was about to start and it was a surprise for contestants.

No one expected it to start off with a bang; anything else that might happen after this seems like it would be underwhelming or not good enough, but they were about to see it. Teams were mixed and put against each other... Considering Victoria is fighting as well whatever side she is placed in that side is certain to dominate. She alone is stronger than any of the Mighty 5 alone and in a 2v2 she is practically invincible when given time to make her shots count. "This is... unexpected." Alex said. He was walking out of the corridor near the locker room with Dante on his shoulder. The fact that he was about to fight alongside an Angel against a fellow Mighty 5 member and another Angel did not go well with him; he barely knew any strategy Angels would use in fights and there was no time for developing a strategy since teams were randomized; it was about improvisation with this one. And who were the opponents? Not even they knew, but they were about to find out. After all, it would be a friendly match and every bit of training helps; if Admiral Izumo says 'train' translate that into 'train until you have a stroke'. Whatever is going on it must be serious when this Admiral is so active. Alex's dad became an Admiral as well and Alex is yet to see him again; it is like he disappeared in the paperwork.

"All of you ready for this?" Dante asked.

"I guess so." Alex said in doubt.

[Sydney White]

On Alex's right there was Sydney with Vergilius on her shoulder.

She was set as Alex's teammate for the fight. That, certainly, was not expected since both of them are considered leaders of their respective teams and are quite powerful when it comes to dealing damage. One would expect a DPS+tank formation to be more logical. At the end of the day, who are they to question what high-ups have in mind; perhaps this is a test of how well random teammates manage to cooperate in unexpected situations. Sydney was not fond of randomness, but she would not be Angels' top strategist if that was to stop her. Even though she is not familiar with how Alex and Dante work together she has an eye for those things and could develop a fine strategy during the fight. Also, this is her first time and opportunity to fight alongside the leader of Mighty 5 so she could learn some new things as well. "Unexpected, but bearable." Sydney replied to Alex's thought. Perhaps 'bearable' because she fights alongside Alex and not Michael. God forbid... 

"Always ready for combat. You have evolved, Dante, so I expect great performance on our end." Vergilius encouraged.

"Just keep your eyes open." Sydney warns two companions.

And with that they arrived to the Training Arena. It is not as big and impressive as the one Silver Knights used to own here in Washington, but it will do. Eden has all necessary defensive measures installed so not even multiple overpowered transformations could cause barriers to crack or hurt someone outside. Sydney looked around and she could see two opponents coming down the stairs and taking positions. She was not surprised by the choice at all. "The leaders versus tanks... interesting choice." Sydney noticed.

[Michael Schulz]

"Welp, would you look at that?" Michael laughed after having seen the opponents. Alex and Sydney were certainly unexpected on the scene; if high-ups want to make these teams think this is random they have to try harder. "Nice catch, bro!" Michael 'commended' Alex out loud so everyone could hear that 'awfully nice compliment'; the one nobody wanted to hear. He took the Bakugan orb and tossed it at the ground; Metallius emerged from the orb showing off his impressive body size. After the evolution he became larger and his armor sturdier; despite the fact he is a tank he is the quickest among Mighty 5- his wings that have 'Holy Drive' placed in them allow Metallius to move at amazing speed. Combine this evasive capability with strong defenses and you've got yourself a perfect defender. "Alright, who is ready to party?" Michael cheered ready to roll into this and kick some ass. He never fought against Sydney before and it has been a while since he could give Alex a proper beating so the upcoming experience should be enjoyable.

"Don't get to cocky, Michael. They both use Valiant Strive and Chaos Takeover." Metallius warned.

"I know, but we've got ourselves an ace or two up our sleeves. I'm confident we'll, at least, do some nice hits on them." Michael encouraged.

[Petra Colburn]

"Oh. Hi, Sydney!" Petra cheerfully greeted her fellow Angel. 

"It is a privilege to stand by your side, comrades!" Leon greeted Michael and Metallius. A fellow tank Bakugan on the battlefield was definitely something worth seeing.

Petra tossed Leon's orb on the battlefield. Lights and fire lightened up the interior before revealing a magnificent humanoid lion Bakugan. He made two steps forward and then began stretching himself after which he started doing push-ups and squats. When his little warm-up was done he looked at the opponents. He already knew what he could expect with one of them, Vergilius, since they often train together, but Dante was a mystery; especially after the evolution. Petra and Leon had opportunities to witness Dante's fighting style when he was in base, but not in this new form. What's worse, rumors say that when Dante evolved he instantly skipped one evolution and rose to the rank he is on now; Leon evolved only once so he was at disadvantage. Metallius has evolved only once as well. However, Vergilius has not ever evolved; unlike Alex, Sydney does not have any powers to nullify the evolution block that comes from Valiant Strive. It would be neat if that could be done, actually- Sydney would definitely be way more powerful than she already is. She could be on par with Victoria. 

"Good to see you, dear comrades. Are you ready..." Leon began to greet the opponents.

"... to get your ass kicked!" Petra cheered.

[Alex Andersen]

"Nice..." Alex muttered once he laid his eyes upon the opponents.

"Out of all people we have to fight..." Dante muttered in mild disappointment.

"Two most-reckless, perverted, hotheaded and simple people I know... You know this is going to be a nightmare then." Alex assumed. Michael was always known for his 'cheerful' behavior, but Petra is a shocker to most people because they do not expect a girl to act with such lack of manners. Well, at least, she is a good person so people do not even care in the end. In Alex's eyes she and Michael might be the same person in different bodies. Alex put Dante on the battlefield. The new 'stand' scenery for Dante was quite a show; crimson lights emerging from the orb with angelic glowing white feathers swirling around the battlefield. "It has been a while- let's see your improvements, Metallius." Dante challenged.
