Merchant uselessloserinfinty Well, Grimm asked me to make the second one in this 'mini' series, so here it is. Don't cause too much chaos, Grimm. Please, don't. Who am I kidding? You'll read that as 'cause more chaos than usual'.
I walked around, near the World Arena, trying to collect my thoughts. Images of everything that happened kept popping into my head. The deep cavern in Bakugan Valley, the astronomical tree I saw when Grimm transported me. I looked to the left, then to the right, and sighed. I was getting paranoid. The chaos that I had gone through doesn't affect me now. I just needed to get it out of my head, before I lose control. I reached into my back pocket, and grabbed a small device I had made, using Cassie's and Chaos's abilities. I turned it on, and scanned myself. The results were the same as every other time I had scanned. One word flashed back at me, a deep red. Infected. Whatever it was that Grimm dragged me through, it affected me deeply. I sighed, and looked around again. I ducked into an alley, away from any other living soul. I hid in a corner, and opened my hand. My Shifter Symbol appeared above it, glowing bright. Part of it was blue, the other part a deep purple, nearly black. I closed my hand, unable to look at it anymore. "I know Grimm thought he removed all the chaos that was forced into me from his transport, but he knows next to nothing about Shifters. I'm still corrupted by it, unable to escape. At this rate, I'm worried about what could happen in the coming days. After that, the coming weeks. I'm losing myself to chaos." I punched the wall. "Of everything that could've happened to me, why did it have to be this? Freaking Chaos Poisoning." I rested my hands against the wall, steadying myself from another woozy spell. "I can't brawl, I can't face others, I can't even control all of my actions." I looked down again, and sat down against the wall. I put my face in my hands. "I can't even focus enough to talk to my Bakugan about this." I looked at my three holsters, all empty. I summoned my symbol again, seeing more of it turning purple. "I'm on borrowed time at this rate. The chaos is still overtaking me, changing me. It's only a matter of time before my secret surfaced." I reached into my pocket again, and grabbed the small tracking device Grimm had planted on me a while ago. I remembered installing an on-off switch on it, so that if I wanted him to know where I was for some reason, he could find me, while not leaving my location open to him. I flipped it over, and looked at it. "Should I, or should I not?" I wondered. I pondered over it, before putting my finger on it. "At least he's got a shot at helping me." I flicked it on, and put it back in my pocket after I saw the small light blinking.
Leo looked out the window at the apartment we were staying in. Participating in brawls was enough for that much. Pyreon hopped up to him. "You still worried about him?" "If it was Azion, wouldn't you be worried?" Replied Leo. "Something's wrong with him. He floated up, and unlocked the window. "And I'm going to find out what." "Leo, are you sure?" Asked Slight. "I mean, we're all worried about him, but are you sure you can even find him?" Leo looked at him. "I can still feel him, you know. We all can. For some reason, he's expending more energy than normal. It's nothing I've ever seen before. He's never been wasteful with anything. So why now? It's been about a week since Grimm transported all of us. That chaos shouldn't be affecting him anymore." Leo was about to go through the window, when a sudden flash of light appeared in the room, blinding all seven of them. Someone spoke. "I have grave news." Said the voice. "Chronogian?" Asked Leo. "Indeed. Atom is in grave danger, and it may get to him within the following days. Come, we have much to discuss." The light grew brighter, and all seven Bakugan began to glow. The light faded, and they vanished. When the light disappeared, nothing moved in the apartment. It was as empty as it was found.

No faster than he flicked it on the device Grimm was there in a flash. Literally. There was a flash and Grimm is now there. "There you are you freaking moron! I have been trying to find you for a week a freaking week. Okay. So I need to find your bakugan. Without them I can't do diddly squat." Grimm now gaining awareness of his location. "Are you insane! This is the world arena. The last place I need to be." Grimm rips of a paper from a the nearby wall. "You see this. This is a wanted poster. From one of my visits. I set off an explosion for crying out loud. We need to go some where else maybe quieter." Grimm grabs Atom. Then with the same flash as here appeared the scene changes to a couple blocks away from the arena. "Don't for a moment ask how I did that. Actual teleportation is hard enough alone. One screw up and I turn myself into a grown baby. No not an actual baby. But I might as well be one if screw up. Gah I'm so annoyed." Grimm proceeds to go on several more tangents.

I shoved him off of me, and slapped my hand over his mouth. "You may think you're annoyed, but that's nothing compared to me if you don't help me!" I shoved him down to the ground. "Don't say ANYTHING until I'm done, got it?" I didn't wait for a response. "You remember when you brought me through that void, right? You know, when I freaking told you that I didn't want anything to do with your form of transportation? And no, I do not want to be corrected on what it is right now." I held my hand in front of him, and showed him my Shifter Symbol. It was still changing to purple. "Do you have any idea what you've done to me?! That chaos tainted me, poisoned me! And yes, I understand that you tried to help me by removing it, but that level of chaos still does a number on a Reality Shifter! I'm being corrupted by it!" I grabbed the tracking device from my pocket, and turned it off. I put it back, then looked at him again. "I'm not like any other Shifter. I harbor secrets you couldn't comprehend! And if this chaos takes me over, then I will not be in any form of control of ANY of my action! Believe me, that is a side of me you don't want to see, and will see in every nightmare for the next year if you see it. Now, you're going to help me remove all of the chaos from my body, or else you will be my first target! Do you understand?"

"First. Don't push the guy trying to help." As Grimm gets up. "Two corruption should be the last thing that area cause. Something else is the source. While yes it is filled with chaos energy. It also filled with equally so many other things. I should know. I built the atmosphere in there. Lastly Your bakugan. If we get to them we can talk. For now and bear with me. I need you to eat a leaf. Not just any leaf though. It will drain you of all your power, and energy. What ever is happening to you. It is leaching. It is not corrupting. It is poison. That glow. I have only seen it once before. It nearly killed me."

"What are you talking about?" I asked. "Look, it is a direct cause of the chaos you dragged me through. I have conferred with Chronogian, and done tests on myself. I know exactly what is happening to me, I don't need you telling me what is and isn't happening. And we are not getting my Bakugan in on this. I have done everything I can to keep them from knowing, and from accidentally spreading it to them." I shook my head, trying to calm myself down. "And what kind of glow are you talking about? This is my Shifter Symbol. The purple is showing how far corrupted I am, while the rest is not." I made sure he paid attention to the purple overtaking the blue. "As you can see, it's still spreading within me. The brawl I had with you not too long ago was my last one, because I haven't been able to fully control myself during it. I made several bad calls, and nearly lost. If it wasn't for you playing the reverse, I would've lost because of my lack of control." The purple spread further, and I instinctively shivered. It was speeding up, I could feel it. I looked at him again. "Also, my Bakugan are at my place. You are NOT going there. It was hard enough finding an open apartment. I'm not looking for another one to keep away from you. Nor could I afford one." I hid my Shifter Symbol again. "And what do you mean you've seen it before?"

"Oh. Well now we have two problems. One I can help you relieve your corruption." Grimm gives Atom a bag. The bag is full of dried blood red leaves. "Chew on those if the Chaos is getting to you. These leaves absorb any form of toxin in your body. This however won't solve your other problem. Also you may be to late about not spreading to your bakugan." The last sentence ends with a nervous chuckle. Then is proceeded by a panicked twitching. "Now. Don't get mad. . ."

As Atom and Grimm discussed the trouble overtaking Atom Ivan whom was more than okay was on a stroll going over the events that had occured in his head.
"That jerk Grimm owes me big time!" In thought I said. "But more importantly Atom."
I was approaching traffic so I stopped to check. "It's been over a week and I have yet to hear from him, I hope he's okay."
After double checking the area I proceeded across the street.
"That chaos energy or whatever it was really did some damage." I thought to myself.
Just then Tristar popped out.
"Whats up with you you've been walking around town all day looking like somebody took your bestfriend thats not like you at all." Tristar began.
"Oh shut it what do you know about me have you forgot I just got you!" I screamed at him comically.
Tristar scoffed, "Well maybe because there's not much to know."
"Why you little!" I began. I stopped and closed Troistar stuffing him in my pocket.
"That's it!" "I'm going to check on him something's telling me he's anything but ok."
As I headed back to my house to pack for the journey that waited I was stopped by two men in robes. They weren't ordinary robes however they glowed with dark purple highlights. The color was considerably enough equal in darkness to that of the Darkus attribute color. I didn't like the energy I was getting so before anything else I spoke.
"Excuse me, can I help you." I managed to say. Something wasn't right. There very presence sent chills through my body.
They were unresponsive and the wind began to pick up before one held up a card.
"Gate card set!" He shouted launching the card onto the floor of the ground. When it hit the floor an explosion took place. I shielding myself from what seemed to be a quite dangerous situation, but for some reason the explosion had no effect on me.
"What's going on?" I looked around and we were in an entire different scenario.
"HEY!" "Where are we?" I asked. Again there was silence.
"You want to leave, you must beat us in a brawl!" The second one hissed. His voice was raspy but deep.
"Fine then." I said calmly. I reached into my pocket and pulled up a ventus colored ball.
"Bakugan Brawl!" "Bakugan Stand!" "Rise my ventus beast Jasper, The Skybound Defender!" I declared. The field was filled with twisting winds before a green skinned warrior with avian-like features and a pair of crystal white wings appeared. He said nothing as he floated to my side. The men began to chuckle together in a wicked way before launching their bakugan. The two bakugan that arose were shocking not many people used their generation anymore I could have laughed. One being a Darkus Reaper and the second a Darkus Robotallion.
"You expect to beat me using such weak bakugan haha." I mocked.
Tristar popped out. "Don't underestimate them these guys are deadly."

Mean while with Grimm and Atom. "Your bakugan are in the same amount of danger as you are in. Now I can very much explain, but I need you to. . ." Grimm stops talking only for the eyes of the mask looking like they are just done. "Ivan wouldn't happen to live nearby would he. Because if he is. Then my plan to save you by causing as little chaos possible and more just went out the front door and got hit by a car."

"Grimm, what are you talking about?" I asked. "How exactly are my Bakugan in just as much danger as I am?" I looked at the bag he handed me, and pulled out my scanning device. I changed the settings, and scanned the leaves. Their data popped up, and I quickly read through it. Then I returned my focus to Grimm. "As for Ivan, he lives somewhat close by, but I don't know exactly where. The best I can give you is that he's within a 5 mile radius of us."
The glow faded, revealing a large, blank space. Chronogian took form, followed by my Bakugan, all in their real forms. They all looked around, until Chronogian got their attention. "Now then, I'm certain you all have questions, right? I will answer them all in a minute, but first I must explain what is happening to Atom. I'm certain you all remember when Grimm transported you all out of Bakugan Valley, correct?" The other Bakugan nodded. "Atom, as you know, is exceptionally weak to Chaos Energy, and as such wasn't able to filter it out of him like he would Negative Energy. This is what the problem is. Currently, his chaos levels are steadily increasing, corrupting him. Now, Leonidas, I'm certain you remember the terminology for such an event, right?"
"It's called Chaos Poisoning." Replied Leo.
"Correct. Now, Atom is still in the early stages of it, but he's rapidly approaching the first few symptoms. Within two days time, he will be facing an advanced form of his condition. After another day or two, his dark side will come out. If he is not cured by the time his light side vanishes completely, he will remain in his dark state, unable to control his own actions." Everything was silent for a few moments.
"How are we supposed to be able to cure him?" Asked Pyreon.
"Yeah!" Agreed Slight. "We don't know the first thing about it!"
"If we were to employ my natural ability to heal" started Lars Lion.
"Your powers of healing are not the right answer, Lars Lion." Interrupted Chronogian. "Chaos Poisoning is dangerous, and without something to store the built-up chaos, it would spread everywhere, possibly reinfecting the one who originally had it. We must come up with a way to draw out the excess Chaos Energy from him, and figure out how to store it. Does anybody have any ideas?"

"Well you see about that." Grimm goes on.
"You all are infected with a parasite eating away at your natural life forces. The things spread fast, but remain at one host at a time. Especially dangerous to bakugan linked to the host for they kill bakugan faster." Serperios hoping onto Grimm's solder replie.
"Serperios we were supposed to do this gentle. Causing him to freak out makes the parasite go faster. Augh. Fine its too late now. The parasite in question is called chaos eaters. A name I made up for them. I can't stand the things and are attacked to beings with high chaos energy. As a result the afflicted emit a glow. Either from their bakugan. Or a symbol of power. Hard to detect, and nearly impossible to rid of. However. Things will get worse If we don't get to Ivan soon." Grimm starts to head to one of the streets nearby. "If you haven't noticed. Time has stopped."

I looked around, noticing that Grimm was right. "How exactly did that happen?" I wondered out loud. "I mean, I remember back during the old days of brawling, whenever a battle field was opened, time would freeze everywhere except for the brawl. But, no matter what happened, I was always affected by the time freeze. What's different about this one?" The rest of what Grimm and Serperios told me registered. "Chaos Eaters?" I asked. "But how? You said they're attracted to being with high Chaos Energy, right? So why would one infect me?" I pondered that as we continued walking. I looked at my Energy Twist Triangle, and pointed it a Grimm. I took note of how bright it glowed. Then, I pointed it at myself. It glowed brighter than when I pointed it at Grimm. "Great." I thought. I sighed. "Okay Grimm, what's going on with Ivan? Why exactly do we need to get to him?"

"He is at the epicenter of this. I was able to detect him when I arrived. Then as we were talking. Two. Take note of this but two unfamiliar sources of energy appear near him. Now as for why we aren't affect. Consider it the chaos energy. Time manipulation becomes less worrisome the more you have. If I were to take of my mask. I will be moving at a slow pace. So hey. I can't be the one to take us there." Grimm goes on then like the cartoon he is Grimm has an over reaction. "Atom hurry and chew on one of those leaves. Like right now. Your skin is turning black." Grimm pulls open the bag, and shoves a leaf into Atom's mouth. He perfectly time a response from him to do so. Grimm closes the bag. "We need to act fast now. Also I was called a negative shifter by one of your bakugan. But I noticed I haven't been able to use the wheel. All I have been able to do is well make an attribute changing card with this new found power." As Grimm start's dragging him in what seems to be a random direction.
"Grimm wrong way." says Serperios on Gimm's solder. "You still have no sense of direct." The two start to bicker.
Both are able to recognize Atom about to same something for them both in unison to say. "Don't question it. Yet."

I facepalmed. "Grimm, using the Attribute Wheel is more difficult than you think. You have to discover something deep about yourself to unlock its power. I was an exception, because I was the first able to use it in the Bakugan Reality." I grabbed my Gauntlet from my pocket, and opened it. I pressed a few buttons, and a tracking signal came up. "Also, you two and your energy sensing. Enough. Ivan still has my other Gauntlet. I can track him using this one. Come on, this way." I began walking in the completely opposite direction. I pulled up my Shifter Symbol, and took note of the rate of corruption. I grimaced, and looked back at Grimm and Serperios still arguing. "Okay you two, enough!" I grabbed Serperios and Grimm and began dragging them. "The sooner we help Ivan, the sooner I can get back to work on curing myself!" I put Serperios on Grimm's shoulder, and looked at my Gauntlet again. I pulled up a topographic image of the entire city, and began following Ivan's signal.

"Mrgrgr. Okay. Something deep about myself." Grimm begins to ponder. It ain't going to be that easy. What about me is so deep. Deep thoughts, deep thoughts. I have to discover it. Grimm closes his eyes. Being sure to tell Atom he can follow him perfectly fine. Chaos energy and all. what about myself that I have yet to discover. What just what?
Serperios lands on Atom's solder. "Atom do you think Grimm can unlock this power you have given. I believe he can. But I really don't think that is a good. What you say that needs to happen is a trigger. Atom. Before I tell what I think can give Grimm the access he needs. We need one thing. To happen in advance. don't worry. Grimm is still following us, but not paying attention. Now before I tell you what I think. I need to know what you think." Serperios doesn't sound angered. It's like he dropped an act or something. Serperios doesn't sound like himself all the sudden. But from what any good person can tell. He sounds. Worried.

"Serperios, I don't know what Grimm needs to unlock the powers he can have with the Attribute Wheel. For every Shifter, it's different. For my friend Tom, he had to discover his unyielding will to succeed. For Cassie, she had to discover her natural ability to increase her brawling capability, and use it while helping Shun. It's not just a simple 'he must do this to accomplish that' type thing." I looked at Grimm. "And Grimm, you're not going to figure it out by thinking. Even your deepest thoughts can't unlock it. You have to let it happen naturally." I continued walking, heading down a main street. Cars seemed to be stopped, but were still running. I felt another instinctive shiver as my internal chaos rose again. "We have to move quick." I warned. I picked up the pace, only for a bright light to blind me.
"Atom, are you okay?" Asked a voice.
"Chronogian?" I asked. The three of us began to glow, and vanished with the blinging light. We reappeared in the same blank space my Bakugan had gone to, and saw them. "What's going on?"
"Chronogian told us about your condition." Said Leo. "And, we've been discussing ways to help cure you."
"Why didn't you just tell us?" Asked Janthide. "We would've tried to help!"
"Yeah." Agreed Vladitor. "It's not like we can't handle the truth." Reginas remained silent, knowing something the others didn't.
"I can practically sense Clate's presence." He thought. "But why? He sacrificed himself to help Atom. Why am I feeling him now?" I stayed silent, unable to admit the truth of what was happening to me. Then, Chronogian noticed Grimm.
"Grimm. I see that you're with Atom. Tell me what you know of what's happening to him."
