Seeing a comment from one person triggered me since I've been thinking about how to convey this to you all for a while now. After seeing it, I know exactly how to do this, and it's going to be as careless as possible since that's what I'm used to. I'm going on another rant. I said I was done ranting before, but I have to keep it going. You're going to see why in a second.
It has been a while since I ended season 2, so I'm imagining there are some people out there who are wondering when I'm going to start the season rather than doing the side-episodes I'm doing now.
Let me explain why I'm doing that.
The least important reason is something I've already told the canons. It's an experiment. I want to start structuring the episodes to be more open than what I've had them in the past. This means that I take a step back and allow things to play out depending on what the canons want to do. Of course, some things MUST happen, but generally, what I want to do is have an end goal, and the canons fill in the gap to how we get there.
As for the most important reason, I simply don't feel like starting season 3. Most of us are already aware of the offenders from season 1 and how I ranted back then. I simply didn't care in season 2 and went into it with low expectations. You don't need to look very hard to see that I was still let down. People think we can wait centuries for them to do something, and I'm deemed annoying or the bad guy when I have to say and/or do something about it.
Let me just give you a simple representation of how bad this looks.
I started Insidious when I was a senior in HIGH SCHOOL. That didn't end until after fall semester of my freshman year in college. Now for Re-vengeance...I don't even want to talk about it, but just look at this foolishness...
The prologue was up in the winter, still in my freshman year of college. Guess when season 2 finished... Just guess...
The summer before my senior year of college... What the fuck...?
Yes, season 2 had more episodes than season 1, 12 more to be exact. Season 1 only took about a year or so. You're telling me 12 more episodes should take two more years?
Wow! That is ridiculous! I could only imagine what the other canons want to say. They're probably more pissed than I am!
These events did irreparable damage to my motivation and my ability to trust people, so I don't know when I'll start the season. It'll come out whenever it does tbh.
And for those of you looking in who have no idea what I was talking about until now, I'm sorry that you have to see this, but that's what happened.
Rant over.
