Episode One: Stirring Darkness

[Atom]

"I'm far, far from invincible. It still takes a small amount of time for me to use anything I just mentioned. And if you get the jump on me and take me out before I can summon anything, it's easy to take me out. And I can enter any Reality, yes, but that's because of my Realital Genes. Anybody with a Realital Gene can, in theory, leave and reenter a Reality. Just be careful not to stray too far, or else you'll end up lost, like I did. And if you want, I could tell you the list of my abilities. It's much shorter than my list of equipment, trust me." I sat back down and continued eating.

Ivan gazed in awe. The kid was stunned. 

"Interesting, hmmm I would love to try it out, If I can master this power I could reach into the realities of my favorite action shows and borrow some of their power." Ivan thought over. He was intrigued. He wanted to learn more. 

"Well Atom, what's our next move?" Ivan asked as he finished his lunch. 

"I'm sorry, but if I were you I would highly suggest sitting back down." A deep voice boomed. The voice itself seemed to bear down on Ivan. Atom's machine began to beep signaling it had picked up on something. This was not a pleasant ordeal.

A thick black cloud of pure darknesses spread across the apartment. The darkness blocked both of its victims vision. A warp-like portal began to form-as it did it swirled-and a tall man emerged. 

"Greetings, my name is Luther, I am the second General of The Destruction himself, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He greeted. He smiled wickedly as he did. He was a brawny man. His hair was black and purple with duality. His eyes were black flickering a faint silver color from time to time.  He wore a tank top that had odd markings engraved in it. He also wore two crystal black colored earrings that hung low down form his ears. The darkness his arrival brought lessened, and sunk to the floor. It twisted and turned his eyes glared at the two opposers. 

"How rude, have you nothing to say?" Luther mused. "No matter, you'll be dead soon anyway!" 

[Merchant]

In Grimm's white void. Things are going to hell. 

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

"What in the hell was that Helios." Grimm yells.

"We are under attack." He responds.

"Impossible. I sealed this place off to everybody but me and people I. Key word I bring in. Who in their right mind would attack us."

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

This time the area shook as a result.

"Get the none fighters to the evac room NOW!" Grimm commands. "Start the counter defense." He then teleports outside to see who is attacking and it is not good. A giant Monkey and a giant hummingbird with Aztec like lines.

"THERE IS TWO OF THEM!" Then Grimm thinks back to the message Atom sent out. "THERE ARE TWO OF THEM!" But they aren't alone. There is also a swarm of negative shifters. "How did they even find this place?"

[Atom]

I stood immediately, drawing my sword as I did so. Clate stood up and drew his sword as well, attempting to corner Luther. "Second General?" I asked. "Impossible. My detection algorithm has only picked up one more awakening, and that was in a distant Reality. So unless you're that one, I don't believe it's possible for you to be another General of Destruction. Now, get out of here."

Clate sensed something. "Atom, I don't think he's bluffing." He said. He changed his grip to a one-handed grip, and pressed a hidden button on my desk. It was designed for use after the last time Grimm decided to appear in my apartment, but it would still work. The walls flashed for a moment as the room fell into its own pocket dimension, keeping everything else out and everything in, in. He talked to me mentally. "I can sense a Negative Gene in him, along with a darkness similar to Cusillu's. He's not bluffing. We need to get him out of here ASAP!" A small part of his incorporeal form entered Ivan. "Ivan, don't stand up, don't attack, and don't respond to him. It's likely that he could just knock you senseless. Leave it to me and Atom. Both of us can access light through use of Atom's Omega Gene, which gives us a distinct advantage over other Negative Shifters. If you can figure out a way out of the door, though, go find Alice or Blaze. We'll need them, sooner rather than later." I raised my sword, unintentionally showing Luther the two sets of symbols on my hands: the Energy Twist Triangle and my Attribute Wheel.

"Tell me what you're doing here and leave, or I attack." I declared. I gripped my sword tighter, and it glowed slightly.

Ivan nodded. Despite his urge to attack he knew for once that it would be pointless. He looked around. 

"Damn, he's blocking the door, Ivan said to himself, "But still Atom's apartment isn't that tall." Ivan faced Atom and Clate. 

"Sorry about this buddy, but we have no choice, be careful and most importantly take this guy down!" Ivan expressed bravely. He turned the other way and dashed through the wall bursting onto oncoming traffic. 

"Form Change: Ventus!" Ivan called out as he descended. His body was warped by a funnel of wind, and his ventus colored themed cloak appeared. Using his control over the wind he glided across the air long enough to land on the other side of the street. The form change dispersed, that being the fault of Dharak's power deduction, and he began to jump tree to tree getting far away as possible. 

"Find Blaze and Alice." Ivan scoffed. "HOW THE HELL DO I DO THAT?!" 

[Merchant]

"Sir all the none combatants have gathered. I have already sent the equipment to Ren." Helios reports to Grimm.

"Good"

BOOM!!!!!!!

"Serperios. Go find Gore now. You have no choice." Grimm orders.

"But"

"No buts just go!. He should be near the evac point!" Serperios leaves. Then Grimm hears a familiar laugh and one that makes him shiver. "I kinda expected you Wu, but Marian. Things just got very very bad."

Meanwhile....

Luter gazed, kind of in shock, in the direction Ivan had jumped. He had not only placed a huge wall through government owned property, but he also caused a lot of panic through the city. The law would be there soon leaving Luther with little time. Despite his brutality he didn't enjoy having to fight weaklings. 

"How annoying, your friend that is, he's just about as destructive as me." Luther took a step forward.

"So tell me, how's a guy like that get tangled up with a group of noble men like yourselves." He was giving his opponents an intense glare. They seemed to not know what to do. 

"Oh and to answer your proposal, I'm afraid I'll have to decline." As Luther spoke the darkness seemed to thicken. 

"I was sent here with a mission by The Destruction himself, so of course my job must be accomplished." The darkness below them circled his enemies. 

"Now you suffer!" Luther hissed. The darkness closed in and forced its way into every possible entry on Atom's body. Luther's earrings began to rattle and pointed towards Atom. 

"Infirmi." Luther spoke calmly. He smirked at Atom as he watched the man experience agony.

[Atom]

"Energy Twist!" I managed to get out. My sword lit up, burning away the darkness trying to pour into me. "Light!" I sliced through the thick darkness Luther had sent at me, and held my sword in a way that kept it at bay from me. "Sorry Luther, but you can't defeat me with darkness." The darkness around Clate bulged out, and seemed to explode from him, creating a circle around him without darkness.

"You also have to contend with me with your darkness." He said. "So, since you already seem to have your target, you probably know who we are, don't you?" The wall flowed into itself, sealing the hole. The walls flashed again, resealing the room.

"Computer, lock door!" I called. My security system beeped in response, and the door vanished from the room, making an exit impossible. "I will admit, Ivan isn't exactly the number one person for being tangled up in this, but he's part of it just like I am. And don't attempt to escape. Ivan managed to break out of this pocket dimension out of sheer force, but it learns and reinforces itself to prevent further punctures." I looked him dead in the eye. "Just in case you don't know because Destruction hasn't told you, I'm Atom. Wielder of Realities, embodiment of Creation! I have defeated Destruction in the past, so what makes you think he can beat me now?"

"And I doubt Destruction has told you about one of his greatest blunders. I'm Clate, a Negative Shifter who fights for light! If you want to use darkness against us, you'll have to fight someone who was created with the ability."

"Let's try this again." I said. "Tell me what you're doing here, and then I'll see if I should let you leave." I grabbed my shield and turned it on, the glow forcing the darkness around me to vanish, allowing me to lift my sword again. I gripped it tightly.

[Merchant]

Alice is very annoyed. She walks into a wall blocking her way to Atom's place. Then she gets past it to get to the door and use the spare key. Only for that too fail. Then she see's Ivan break pass the window and the wall beyond. 

"What would my brother say . . . " She doesn't think about it for very long. At the top of her lungs. "LEROY JAAAAAANKINS" She dives into the window. And see's what is going on. And she ain't happier. "No! Enough." She walks right up to Luther and smacks him. "I'm not dealing with this bull crap leave. This ain't cute nor funny."

"Alice. This man is radiating off a lot of darkness." Titania one of Alices two bakugan warns her.

"Yep trouble trouble." Goes Oberon her other bakugan.

"Oh" She prepares a powerful light shield for any attack.

[cusillu]

"Well, look at that." Goes a monkey looking man. "He tells his best bakugan to flee. I guess he knows he is going to lose." Wu puts on a gauntlet. "I don't like having to fight you but I'm ready to defend myself from you. So just die already. BAKUGAN BRAWL!" He his bakugan lands behind. "Rip him to pieces. Earthbound Immortal Cusillu!"

"We meet again Grimm Hallow." Goes the giant monkey thing. "We need you out of the picture as soon as possible."

"Yes, twerps like you just need to disappear." Goes a woman in a pink magical cat girl outfit. "Oh Aslla Piscu. Please destroy this boy's hopes and dreams. Ahahahahahahaha!"

The hummingbird lands this time. "With the greatest of pleasure Madam."

"Ability Activate: Humming Crusher!" Piscu hums and the sound waves infused with pyrus destruction energy make their way to Grimm.

[luther]

Side Note: Music plays once again.

"How dare you, Luther hisses, "I'll crush you!" He opens his mouth and a strand of dark web-like energy coated Alice. The light of the shield seemed to make it weaker, but the density managed to remain. He yanked it out his mouth and slung her through an opposing wall. He turned to Atom and Clate. 

"I was only suppose to come here, perform the ritual, and leave, but I think my master won't mind if i cause a little terror in the process." He boasts. His body began to shift as he takes on small spider-like features more generally in the face area. His eyes sparkle a phantom silver color. 

"I might not be able to beat you, correct, but that's not my job... not yet!" He spits out two clumps of darkness they extend becoming webbing wrapping around their targets: Atom and Clate. The two were suspended again the wall of the pocket dimension, and Luther slowly returned to his original state. He chuckles a bit. 

"Forgive me, I'm sorry you had to see that side of me, its just, that light is quite irritating." as he said this the darkness flooded the dimension becoming darker and darker. The light his enemies wielded was still there, but dim. 

"Your probably wondering "what mission", "Oh my God were going to die"!" Luther mocks. "No." "I'm here to make our job a whole lot easier." He paces as he speaks to them. 

"But it will won't be easy in fact if I were to fail, I would without be a very easy target." Luther explains. He stops pacing in front of Alice. 

"Which is why I won't, and to make sure of it I'm making sure no little rat interrupts!" He barks. He raised his fist and slammed it into a weakened Alice. The attack sent her flying and on impact of the ground she was out cold.

Meanwhile.....

"Phew, I'm beat!" Ivan hollered. He stopped his journey at a conveniently comfortable place, a park. as he caught his breathe one of his bakugan popped out on his shoulder. 

"Uhhhhh whatcha doin?" Kauis asked. The Seabound Defender loved to harass Ivan. Ivan's face went blank with irritation. 

"Not now Kauis, seriously!" Ivan said quickly before he could say anything else. Kauis laughed and returned to ball form. He land d beside Ivan and nudged his leg. 

"Come on loosen up dork." Kauis said playfully. for the first time in a while he saw how serious his partner was. Ivan ignored him, and held his head down in thought. 

"So there making their move!?" Ivan mused. "This isn't good, I hope Atom is okay."  

[Atom]

I struggled against the bindings Luther put on me, trying to get past them. Clate focused on him. "Some kind of Ritual, huh?" He asked. He tucked his hands behind his back to hide their black glow. "You wouldn't happen to be trying the Demon Plight Ritual, would you? The one that would allow Destruction into the Reality it was used it, wasn't it?" I gasped.

"That's impossible!" I said. "Realital Repulsion prevents him from even getting close to a Reality!" I moved my arm slightly, causing my sword to begin cutting the bindings. It was going to be a slow process, but it was one I had to do. Clate's hands continued to glow, but the glow began to fade.

"It is, unfortunately, possible." Said Clate. "But, it requires a lot of energy and for there to be many Negative Shifters in a Reality. And I doubt enough have been able to enter this Reality undetected to perform the ritual!" The glow around Clate's hands vanished. "Oh yeah, and one more thing. Atom, give me some more energy!" He vanished, and I responded basically immediately, by hands glowing black. A small strand of the darkness Luther sent at me moved, and Clate reappeared in front of him. "Another thing Destruction probably didn't tell you. I sacrificed myself to help Atom. In the process, I became a part of him. Using built up chaos and negative energy within him, I can appear in the physical world. And when I run out, I return to him." He stood in the way of Luther, preventing him from getting to either me or Alice. I continued trying to slice my way through the bindings, hoping I would get out before Clate needed help. Clate sent a message to Ivan, telling him that Alice came to us and was knocked out and to continue looking for Blaze.
