As I am a Starter Brawler, I am tossing this up for anyone willing to do a practice round with a Newbie so that I can learn the Basics of Brawling in WC. I have nothing but my starter Sets and want to get a bit of experience with what I have now before attempting to jump straight into the deep end. Anyone that wants to have a bit of fun, please feel free to respond, I would love to give my Darkus Bakugan a spin. All I ask is you have a bit of patience with me as I may do things incorrectly at times, but I hope to be a serious member here in time. I look forward to hearing from you, till later.

You set the Gate and send your Bakugan in. Then take your turn as usual.
Seeing as how nobody else seems to want to show you the ropes, I'll help you out. As I do with all other new guys, I'll restrict myself to only shop cards, excluding the clearly more powerful ones. Sound good?
Bakugan, Brawl! Bakugan, Stand! Rise Darkus Vladitor! I may be designated as a Haos Brawler, but I use all six Attributes as needed. I figured I'd start with something that's probably familiar.

Eh, no problem. Most people make it short, so it's nothing new. If you want, we can make it into a partial RP. We'll have to leave a note at the bottom explaining our move, though, just to keep staff satisfied about not having to read a long post in a brawl. Anyways, you set the thread up, so this is how it technically happened.
You: Set Gate Card. Sent out Darkus Dharak (Angra) 500 Gs
Me: Sent out Darkus Vladitor 500 Gs
Word to the wise, some may take advantage of you not setting a Gate in initial post. Me and ULI probably wont, but I wouldn't put it past Grimm. He's never done it before but I get the feeling he's waiting for me to mess up just once. Anyways, I digress. It would be your turn because you were technically supposed to go first.
In short, few make long posts, we can do RP in here if you want, just with a note on the bottom of what we did, always set the Gate in initial post, and its your turn.

Let me try this properly then.
" Gate Card Set! Bakugan Brawl. Bakugan Stand. Rise Darkus Dharak! We have a Challenger Angra,let's give him a good show. Let's start out strong,Ability Card Activate! G-Power Burst!" he calls out while Dharak lets out a roar and a purple pulsing wave slings out from his body towards Vladitor.

There you go. Now, keep in mind that you’d typically activate an ability after your opponent throws in, which is after the gate’s down, make sense? Anyways, as you probably guessed, it’s my turn now.
“Really?” Asked Vladitor. “That’s it?” He took the waves head on and moved maybe an inch. “You wouldn’t know this, but I’ve actually faced off against a much stronger Dharak before. You have to do better than that to best me.”
“However, I’d rather not try war brawling in this environment.” I said. “We may not put too much of an emphasis on Gs these days, but it’s important to keep track in official brawls, even if only in the Gym.” I raised an ability. “Ability Activate! G-Power Burst!” The wake waves that we’re sent at Vladitor were sent back to Angra.
“Equal playing field now.”
Me: 100
You: 100
And I know it might seem like extra work, but you do need to link your cards at the end of your move. Like so:
G-Power Burst: Reduce opponent by 400 Gs. Shop.
Of course, when you make your own cards, you’ll have to grab the link. I suggest putting it in your Bakupack, but it’s only a suggestion. Also, please do tell me if anything is confusing you and I’ll try to clear it up.

Durant watched his move get tossed back at him, "Angra may not be as powerful as the Dharak's before him, but that is only for now. I promise to make him one of the most feared Dharak's to ever exist, and Angra knows this." looking up to his weakened Dharak, blazing eyes meeting his human's. Letting out a Roar he stood up fully, Durant pulled out another card. "Lets give him a blast. G-Power Boost!" he said as Angra's G returned to normal, the mighty Black Dragon slapped the ground with his tail. Durant looked on, expecting a counter move to follow up just like it had before. It was a tedious thing, but it was fun, certainly more fun then the Jungles he had trekked through before Bakugan.

G-Power Boost: Your Bakugan Gains 400Gs Yea, I am thinking about that now actually. Personalized Cards would give the RP a more in-depth feel, and breath more life into Angra and Durant |

Good card use. Now, I'm going to show you another Shop Card.
"Ready Vladitor?"
"Just use it."
"Ability Activate! Darkus Booster!" Energy transferred from Angra. "This is another Shop Card that's not a basic one you can get from your profile. It transfers 300 Gs."
Me: 400
You: 200
"Now, of course, you have another option above me. You can use your Gate Card easily. Just make sure you use a normal with it or lose a normal count!"
Darkus Booster: Transfer 300 Gs. Shop.

Very Nice, then what do you think of this combo? That is if I can use a Shop Card as Well.
"Very Smart, yet you know you aren't the only one with a Darkus Card. Gate Card Activate! G-Power Steal, Followed by Darkus Merge!" He said holding up the card. The purple light shining as the gate card consumed them both in a fel light. Dharak's power grew.
Me: 800
You: 100
G-Power Steal: Gate Card,Transfer 300Gs. Shop
Darkus Merge: Ability Card, Increase Gs by the same amount as your opponent has totally through the match if their Power is higher than yours.
Hopefully that was an acceptable combo. Considering this is a theoretical match.

It would be, if you owned the shop card. You start with your four basic cards in your profile, along with your Gate Cards. So yes, G-Power Steal is applicable, but not Darkus Merge.

"An Acceptable Counter Strike. Now, for my own. Gate Card Activate. G-Power Steal!" he said as the card flashed purple and the energy transfer completed.

In order to activate it like that, you'd lose an Ability Count. However, looking at your profile, you don't really have much choice do you?

It wasn't a bad idea, but it'd be better to not try to use cards you don't have. I went against somebody who did something similar, it didn't work for them. Anyways, I'll use Gate Buster to negate your gate card.
